The 13 Best Peruvian Restaurants in Miami | Eater Miami

"Stroll down the pedestrian-only Giralda Avenue toward Divino Ceviche for Peruvian cuisine in Coral Gables. While Divino Ceviche has plenty of the usual Peruvian dishes on the menu, guests will find a large Japanese influence, specifically with the Nikkei dishes where Japanese preparation is used with Peruvian ingredients. Try the tiradito with thinly sliced fish marinated lightly in lime and covered with Peruvian yellow pepper cream, rocoto pepper cream, and a classic white cream." - Amber Love Bond

Divino Cebiche is one of those places that never disappoints. The restaurant is very pleasant, centrally located, and the atmosphere is always warm and inviting. The service is impeccable. I’ve been a customer for over five years, and every single person who works there is extraordinary, always kind, attentive, and eager to recommend something new. What really amazes me is that they remember our preferences l, like the fact that I don’t like egg in the chaufa, and even when I forget to mention it, they already know. That’s true personalized service. The food is delicious. This is definitely one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants in Miami. I highly recommend the trio of ceviches, the beef chaufa with sweet plantain, the mixed jalea, the octopus, and their desserts, which are all excellent. Definitely one of the best Peruvian restaurants in Miami.

My husband and I visited this amazing Peruvian restaurant. The authentic food, and the attentive service was amazing. We ate various dishes because everything looked so great. A must try if you are in the area. Thank you, Linda, for your kindness.

Google
My husband and I went here after a long day of travel from Canada and was it ever worth it. Such delicious incredible fresh food, great service. Our waitress and the restaurant manager Elizabeth were so helpful with the menu, tons of choices. Highly recommended. Would definitely go back next time we are in Miami.

Google
The food here is incredible! The ceviche is so fresh and full of real Peruvian flavor. The staff is super friendly and the place just feels good. Definitely coming back soon!

Google
Amazing food. We were looking for Octopus and Divino Ceviche did not disappoint. The Pulpo en Salsa was divine as well as the Tallarin saltado. Don't forget to try the Picarones. Thank you Elizabeth C for your great service and menu suggestions. It was a 15 minutes walk from our hotel (Wingate by Windham Miami airport) and well worth the steps for this delicious food and wonderful staff.

Google
Great place to eat with family and friends, have some drinks and enjoy latinamerican food. Portions are big and food is savory. I ordered a special Lomo Saltado that was On Point. Definitley a place to repeat.

Ana B.

Google

Yelp
I review this place with mixed feelings. The food was great tasting, good portions, and even better pricing. The service was great and attentive - they even remade my iced tea 3 times until I was satisfied. Unfortunately, my luck ran out when I ordered a dish called 'Jalea' which is a breaded and fried mix of different seafood and fish, which for this place was largely just fish with a few calamari and muscles. This is where I think I inadvertently met my enemy - the muscles were breaded too and one of them was completely closed and wouldn't open - I remember telling my friend, fate is telling me to attempt any further to open this muscle because it might not be good. And I left it alone; unfortunately it was a for-telling sign of things to come in my future. Fate definitely warned me, but it was too late by then as it was the last piece of the muscles that I avoided while chowing down on all others. I think they might not have been fully fresh and the breading and seasoning masked their betrayal. That was dinner at 9p, and at 4a I woke up with my stomach telling me is was time play game of thrones, except the throne I was reaching for was the white throne. There I was king of the hill for the next 3-4 days. So as much as I liked the place (ambiance was standard) for taste and value, this unfortunate event overshadowed any possibility of me ever coming back to those lands. May the force be with you when visiting this place: "when you play the game of thrones, you win or you die" and I like my life, for now

Yelp
We came to Divino Ceviche hoping for a solid Peruvian meal but honestly it was just okay. Miami has no shortage of great Peruvian restaurants and this one did not land near the top. The food: The tequeños rellenos de lomo saltado were the winner of the night, crispy, flavorful, and fun to eat. The causa limeña was tasty and a good portion too. Then things went downhill with the ají de gallina. Way too salty, the potatoes were hard, and it just felt like a poorly done version of what is usually a star dish. The fettuccine a la huancaína with lomo saltado was fine but forgettable. The service and vibe: Service was average, not bad but not memorable either. The place itself is fine, nothing that makes you want to linger. Bottom line: If you are in Doral and craving Peruvian it will do the job, but with so many amazing options in Miami this one will not be making my must-return list.

Yelp
Great and fresh authentic Peruvian cuisine. Linda was our server and was phenomenal. Excellent ambience a Gem in this area!

Yelp
Excellent food and service with a smile: what's better than that :) We went to Divino ceviche but didn't order ceviche! Oh no! We ordered a Jalea : oh Yes!! And a corvina a lo macho (fish with a aji sauce and seafood, served with white rice): also a Yessss! Honestly we wanted to share both but the Jalea was so moist and fresh and tender (and the breading was so very light and delicious) that we went for it mostly, and barely touched the corvina a lo macho. Their portion size was Bountiful! and we were full after all those delicious sweet potato and fried corn kernel (canchita) little bites they put on your table with the drinks while you wait. So we had plenty of fish to go home with, and even a couple of pieces of the "Jalea". What a yummy dish that was! Jalea easily to share as appetizer with 3-4 others . Enjoy!!

Yelp
After a long flight I was craving a light meal and ceviche sounded just right. Nice little restaurant with great decor. Came in during lunch hour and they were very busy with delivery orders and tables. Ceviche took a long time, I get that it was during busy times but close to an hour and long time to get our hour kind of messed up the experience for something that requires little prep. The ceviche was good but I've had better for a $30 mix plate.

Yelp
Located in the heart of Doral you will find Divino Ceviche a small and cozy Peruvian restaurant. We arrived right before the dinner rush and were seated right away. The menu contained a lot of the standard Peruvian dishes and we decided to order their Ceviche Nikkei, Tequeños stuffed with lomo saltado, and for the main dish the Corvina a lo macho. The tequeno was delicious with good chunks of meat and cheese, while the ceviche was a raw tuna Japanese fusion ceviche with leche de Tigre and soy sauce base. The ceviche could have had a little bit more of flavor. The corvina a lo macho is a breaded fish smothered in a garlic sauce mixed with steamed mussels and calamari rings. This was a very flavorful and hearty dish and they give you a side of white rice to mix it all together. Then came my favorite part of all meals, picarones (Peruvian donuts), another great way to end our meal.

Olivia S.

Yelp
I Love ceviche in all forms. I ordered the Corvina ceviche and asked to make sure it was corvina because some places use Sway. They said it was corvina. I took it to go and when I tried it, it was nothing more than chewy stringy Sway. Super disappointing for almost $25.00!

Yelp
The food is soooo good! Very authentic, delicious Peruvian food, and great service. Portions were also really large, we had leftovers for the next day.

Yelp
Yesterday I went to know this restaurant with the family and as a Peruvian trying to find the real deal about Peruvian flavors I have to say that finally we found it. The food was awesome, the waitress I think Otto his name welcoming and customer service detail oriented. The place the music everything was 10/10 Thank you guys !!!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went here for a quick lunch in between meetings and appointments. We had the Ceviche De Mercado, Mini Tacu Tacus Con Lomito, octopus, Trilogía De Causas, Pulpo En Salsa Anticuchera and a bottle of wine. Everything was absolutely delicious. Our server was very nice, professional and on top of everything. It's a very small, quaint place.
google avatar

Nicholas G.

Yelp
Probably one of my favorite ceviche spots in Miami. Flavors are always on point & consistent. Staff is extremely nice. Highly recommend the plates shown below (pics) and of course a pisco sour or two!
google avatar

Mateo R.

Yelp
In love with this little spot. The restaurant is small and cozy and the service immediate, the second you walk in the whole experience starts. We had couple app and a bottle of wine to pair with, everything was superb but the octopus was top notch the best one I've had in a while. Definitely coming back
google avatar

Danielle T.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Anticuchos de carne were amazingggggg. Highly recommend. Service was ok, not too friendly. Vibe was decent, not the cleanest but not the worst.
google avatar

Adriana B.

Yelp
This was our first visit. We tried several of the appetizers and really enjoyed them. I ordered ceviche, and tried someone else's too, but found it too lemony for my taste and could not finish it. We ordered pisco sours, unfortunately they were not good. We also tried the spicy passion fruit margaritas, they were pretty good. The service was good although it got pretty busy and they seemed a bit short staffed.
google avatar

Iladys G.

Yelp
I order the Chaufa de Pollo everytime I come here, it's so good. The only thing I have to say is, it could be a LITTLE salty (I normally don't eat super heavy salty dishes) probably because my palette is more on the healthier side.
google avatar

Binio L.

Yelp
Flawless place, loved everything from A-Z. The ambiance, service, food portions and value. Wow, what a place! The food, the ambiance, and the service is friendly and comfortable with an amazing value offering. Free parking plaza and totally inviting upon walking in. I cannot say enough things, but please go try it. Flavors are on point, creative plates, and then, if unsure of your spice level; they can bring the spicy rocoto paste on the side. Ms. Elisa and her team offer a smooth and great experience. Seems it gets busier in the 9pm time frame on weekends, so if you are a 7pm weekend diner; you should be fine on early arrival. Enjoy!

Natalia M.

Yelp
Food was so good and yummy Had Chupe de camarones Corvina a lo macho!! Picarones!!!

Maria Julia P.

Yelp
Delicious Peruvian Cuisine and the best kind service, always. Today , we had an order to pick up and everything was perfect. Special thanks to Ximena, Maria, Luciana and all the personal inside the kitchen. They made an special mothers day in our family.

Yelp
Great Peruvian food place. We were in Doral and I came over here because a friend recommended this place. Plenty of parking in the complex. They started us off with some sweet potato or taro chips I believe! They were really good. The sauce that came with the chips is good too. Unfortunately there aren't many options for vegetarians. We ordered Peruvian style stir fried chicken and it was delicious. The fries that came with it weren't good at all, bland and soggy. Would definitely recommend this place if you aren't a vegetarian!

Yelp
I don't really think about ceviche much, but I like it. Not sure why I don't. We looked this place up and found this Peruvian ceviche place not far away and off we went. Came here with some friends for a late lunch on a Saturday. Location is in a strip mall, pretty easy to find. At 3:30pm the place was pretty busy. We were able to get a table quickly and friendly greetings. Pretty nice looking spot. Looked over the menu, we decided to start out with an appetizer of "Pulpo En Salsa Anticuchera", it's basically seasoned octopus on a skewer. It was very good and could've eaten the entire thing myself. Should've gotten 2 orders, worth getting this appetizer! For ceviche entrees we all shared: "Ceviche Tradicional": not sure what kind of fish it was but it was good, very citrus-y, has some chilis, huge corn kernels, red onion , potatoes. Oh the waitress suggested we add shrimp and we did, she was right! Delicious! "Ceviche Nikkei": it seemed like their version of poke. Similar to the other entree ingredients, but with soy sauce, ginger, sesame oil flavors. My buddy decided to order a side of rice to soak this sauce up! My friends aren't from Florida so they really enjoyed this meal very much. We were pretty full, no room for dessert. Service was very nice, the ladies were attentive and friendly to chat with. Prices seemed to what we thought it would be. Menu is pretty good sized for you to pick other foods if you not feeling ceviche. Overall, glad we came by, would totally come back again! *chef's kiss*

Yelp
Excelente comida deliciosa y servicio rápido y la atención de Caroll que nos atendió excelente le doy 5 estrellas lo recomiendo el ceviche riquísimo
google avatar

Gladys S.

Yelp
Unfortunately, this has been my least favorite ceviche. Extremely over seasoned, heavy pour on the salt. Favorite item Pulpo en Salsa. Good service and drinks.
google avatar

Jessica R.

Yelp
By far the best peruvian food in Doral. We really enjoy their ceviche. This last visit we had different appetizers and all pretty good.
google avatar

Rick M.

Yelp
Visited Divino ceviche today as we have many time before, but after seeing a news report about this place being outstanding and showing a dessert made of sweet potato balls and homemade ice cream. Note been to this place many time and there food is great. However you ask why the low star rating this time and answer is simple. I called ahead of time and asked if they had the special dessert they advertised on NEWS and they responded yes. We show up a restaurant have a great dinner and when we ordered dessert they bought PICATONES to table which was a horrible dessert. When I asked waitress about dessert I had seen advertised on tv and they had confirmed as available before my visit, she said that's only for February 14. I didn't eat it because it was that bad. I paid for dessert because I made the mistake of tasting it, but truly something should be left off menu as it left bad taste in my mouth and final perception of the nights meal.

Yelp
First time coming here and the food was delicious! Tonight I was in the mood for Peruvian food and stumbled upon this gem. Ambiance here is great and relaxing, very good to enjoy your food. Service is here is great and always checking in with you to make sure your doing fine or in need of something. Overall my experience here was great and would definitely come back when I get the chance or in the mood of Peruvian food again. Stopping by the area and wanting delicious food that'll make you want to come back for more... this is the place to check out!

Yelp
It didn't get five stars because i felt the menu/server could have disclosed dairy in the item I chose; after all it had a vegan sign next to it which usually means no dairy. However the food was very tasteful (a little on the salty side) And the server was friendly and patient as she described each item I inquired about (except for the dairy) The only issue was that everything I inquired about she said was amazing. I ended up with the ceviche de Mercado. However, I couldn't eat it because the base/sauce had milk. I was under the impression it was going to be lemon/lime juice, onions and cilantro. Either way my one and only bite was tasteful. I moved on to another dish, the lomo saltado; except I didn't get it with the rice and fries (too much carbs). I had it with a salad instead. It was good, again a little on the salty side for my taste. The place is cute, nice music but felt like the server could have been more attentive. Not once did she stop by to see if I needed anything else until I called her over (there were only two customers and I was one of them). I'll execute it that they were getting the restaurant ready for the night ahead, but really why do we pay a tip if not to be tended too?

Yelp
It seems that TAKE OUTs from this place are far from great. We were 2 families ordering for Mother's Day, so it was a big $ order. When we opened the boxes at home, the "Jalea de Mariscos" that I was so much craving, came with NO "Tartar Sauce" and a "tiny portion of Onion Salad".-that in 4 bites, it was gone. (We ordered 2 of these Jaleas, and both came with NO Tartar sauce and a tiny onion salad.) We all know that Jalea without these 2 toppings, is not a Jalea. The Tartar Sauce and Onion Salad is what makes the Jalea delish, specially because the Jalea here wasn't even seasoned well. Their excuse was that it was Mother's Day and they were so busy that forgot to add the tarter sauce, etc. If that's the case, and you are going to be so busy and hectic, then don't open that day for business and charge full price for food, if you are going to serve mediocre. Besides, this is the 2nd time that a Take out comes incomplete. My Mom ordered Lomo Saltado and they forgot to put the rice on her box! Come on! Thank God, I know how to make Onion Salad, so I had to make it myself at Home...and Thank God for the Pollo Tropical Cilantro Sauce I also had in the fridge, to compliment this Jalea dish. NOT HAPPY with this meal, especially the excuse they give you. Will NOT come back to this place.

Yelp
Solid ceviche spot in the heart of Doral. They have both an excellent selection of ceviche but also a good beer presence with some good IPAs on draft. This is a kind of place where we have received fast, good service anytime with really excellent food. The anticuchos de pulpo are really good, as are their ceviches, appetizers and fried seafood. Delicious. It's located in a fairly busy - ish strip mall but you won't have any issue parking.
google avatar

Aileen Q.

Yelp
This place has great authentic Peruvian food. Came for lunch with my bf. I had the aji de gallina which is one of my favorite Peruvian dishes and it was amazing. My boyfriend had one of their many ceviche options and we also had the lomo bites for apps. Really enjoyed this place and will be returning.
google avatar

George S.

Yelp
Had dinner here last night and it was a fair experience. The service was good and the chips they gave before the meal were delicious. My only complaint was that my dish did not have a lot of fish on it. More noodles than anything else and given this is a ceviche restaurant I would have expected a large portion with fish.
google avatar

Mabelys H.

Yelp
This place deserves 10 stars! The shrimp ceviche was SO tasty and fresh. The best I've had so far. To drink I had a maracuyá juice which tasted great and a white sangria which was delicious. Also ordered a mixto of ceviche which had shrimp, fish and calamari AMAZING. The chupe de camarones was OK. It's like a soup with shrimp, cheese cubes and an egg, I think. Lastly for dessert I ordered, picarones...so freaking good. I'm definitely coming back.

Paulina T.

Yelp

Yelp
My partner and I were in the mood for seafood. So we discovered this ceviche restaurant near our home. We walked in and right away the ambiance was warm and welcoming with a modern rustic feel. We were sat and our server seems to have forgotten our menus.... It turns out, there are no menus but there is a QR menu to access menus online (very post-pandemic modern). When we finally figured that out, we ordered ourselves some drinks (beer and wine) and (2) appetizers. The food is excellent. The ceviche trio was flavorful, the fish was tender and you couldn't stop eating enough of it. We even drank the ceviche juice ... the mini tacu tacu was a new experience. It was like a potato cake with charred beef and a qual egg. Very familiar flavors just put together in a unique way....(Delicious!!!. As our entree, we order the lomo salteado with extra beef and split it between us. It was PERFECT! Again, very family ingredients. Beef, steak fries, onions and tomatoes... the perfect concoction. Overall, the food was delicious and we will definitely be coming back for more! :)

Yelp
This place is great. It's an unassuming shopping center but don't let that fool you. The service was fast and friendly. The Wanka sauce was delicious. The sautéed meat dish was done to perfection.
google avatar

Kalvin K.

Yelp
My brother used to come here a lot when he was in Miami and highly recommended it to me. I came here for a quick lunch during a work trip. This was the first time I had a lunch during work travel because of covid. There were temperature checks and a mandatory mask policy until temperatures were checked. Lysol was sprayed onto the table and seat and wiped down before sitting down. The menu was by QR code - very thorough. I ordered the arroz con mariscos which has plenty of seafood and flavor. The rice was perfectly seasoned and moist but not wet. Very tasty dish! Service was stellar too.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything I've tried has been excellent! Ceviche del Mercado is my favorite. Love the Tuna Nikkei as well.
google avatar

Shabbir S.

Yelp
Yuca huancaina was decent and the tacu tacu was the highlight - had it 2 ways - con lomo and corvina (with macho sauce) and all together was a delicious meal. Service was attentive and helpful to make the visit a great experience.

Yelp
Went out to celebrate a birthday. We were a party of six. Service was perfect only surpassed by the verity and flavor of the food. All in all this is our new Doral family restaurant. We will be back soon.

Yelp
Very good service, very nice waitress. First time coming to this place and it surprised me. Food was delicious and even my lemonade. We will be coming back for sure!

Yelp
Peruvian food at its finest! I love relatively close to this location and friends have been raving non stop how I need to try it out as a fellow Peruvian food lover and wowww. I was only disappointed that I didn't go sooner. The moment I stepped in the staff was extremely friendly and they ensured that they cleaned the table completely prior to us having a seat and in seconds they were taking our order. At a glanced I wanted to order everything on the menu since I came in ravenous, but I settled on the yuca balls filled with cheese for started. This came with their special Huancaina sauce that was absolutely mind blowing and as you cut into the yuca you could see all the cheese just oozing out! Then for my main dish I went with the Peruvian stir fried noodles with chicken as the base protein. Extremely flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, chicken was tender, and soy sauce wasn't overly salty. Honestly, the entire meal was CHEFFS KISS. -The Fashionable Foodie

Yelp
When arriving note the most popular table location to eat is the outside for this time of year December and January. There are plenty space inside, which is good but the waiters would forget about you if your the only one's inside. The food was good as always, even though the price has increased the food is always top notch. When arrive you'll be giving a free sweet potato chips with fried corn nuts. Which is one of the best things out there. When a restaurant give something like this out for free then you'll know the quality of the other dishes are good. One of the best Cold appetizer dish is the Trilogia De Causas which comes with 3 type of protein. Octopus, Shrimp and Chicken) All tasty with their each sauce and the corn that is added. The main dish the Civich Mercado is a new dish that came in recently. It is a white fish and then comes with fried calamari. Note you can ask how spicy "hot" you want your civich make sure to ask before you order. Then to add to the meal a nice white wine with the seafood civich was the best choice. Its a good location for a date or to bring your friends and family.

Yelp
Love love love this gem! I have tried three of their restaurants and have loved them all. The ceviche here is delicious. Arroz chafa is delicious! The passion fruit drink is amazing! Desserts are great.

Yelp
Came here before leaving my mom in the airport. We were in a hurry so we got attended really fast. The chips they give for free were amazing crispy and crunchy. I had Lomo Saltado with fettuccine which were great but I really was expecting more meat, since it's a 18 usd plate and don't know why I got served like 6 tiny meat pieces. We had the traditional seviche , gorgeous and very delicious. Mom ordered some chicken with rice and potatoes, which were awesome. Really tasty onions. A bit pricey as I said for the portions. Although the taste of Peru Is in every bite you take. I had an inka diet cola and mother got a pisco sour. It was a total of 64 usd$. Restaurant was great and sharp clean. We even got more chips for free. The customer service was quick and top notch. They followed every rule with covid. Suit yourselves with my plate picture!

Yelp
Interesting spot in busy strip mall right just south of my hotel in Doral. First time having both authentic Peruvian ceviche and corvina. Wasn't sure what to expect so was pleasantly surprised at the prep, presentation, and taste. Started with the Octopus croquetas. For main, the server recommended ceviche de Mercado. Both were delicious and unlike anything I've had. Service was friendly and efficient. Ambiance and decor was modern and updated - kind of like a Peruvian First Watch. I'd return here if in the area again.

Fred D.

Yelp
Food is always great here. Avoid during lunch as is very crowded. Try the octopus and ceviches.

Yelp
It was mid afternoon, and we needed something light. We were greeted with a cone of crispy fried sweet potatoes with sauces and Peruvian corn. My husband chose the Pulpo En Salsa Anticuchera, a grilled octopus on a small piece of potato and sauce. He fell in love with every bite. I had a usual. Parihuela, a seafood-filled soup. It is nowhere full as shown on the menu, but very, very good. I look forward to trying other dishes from the menu.
