The Best Farmers’ Markets in San Francisco | Eater SF

"This cute neighborhood market is tucked just off the bustle of Divisadero, over by the DMV, and features a couple dozen local farms, creameries, and bakeries. Days: Sundays" - Becky Duffett

A good selection of produce and food stands fresh from local sources makes this a pleasant way to buy products for dinner and other meals. Live entertainment near the front gate adds to the experience. This market is currently staged at the John Adams CCSF yard at 1860 Hayes Street.

The Adorable French Bakery sells Croissants. They tasted terrible. They are too greasy not fluffy at all. Nothing to do with a real French Croissant. The chocolate croissant had a salty, fatty and absolutely non delicious chocolate inside as well. Besides not being good it was also expensive. If you are looking for a very good organic Croissant go to Acme Bakery in the Ferry Building.

Google
This is a lovely farmers market with an outstanding selection of fresh fruits, vegetables as well as breads, nuts and flowers. What’s missing? It would be great if there was a place to sit down other than on the curb. I know they use a DMV inspection parking lot but it might make sense for the organizers to put out a few chairs for those folks who might like to buy and nosh and then buy some more treats!

Google
Awesome. So much great produce. Seasonal highlights and lots of organic! (I wish they didn't have vendors who promote animal cruelty, tho)

Google
It's alright, its best feature is that it's close to me. Farmers sell organic produce but it's expensive. The pastry stand is not as good as I hoped. There are some nice prepared foods (dumplings, hummus, bread, honey) and sometimes a fish guy. It sort of covers all the basics but isn't impressive enough that I want to go weekly. The farmers market on Clement is better and I go there instead if I have time.

Google
This farmer's market is relatively small compared to other markets in the City, and doesn't offer as many variety in terms of organic produce. However, prices are generally reasonable, although not necessarily among the least expensive. Fairly accessible by many bus lines, and has one of the best dried fruit/nuts vendors I have ever been, near the end. The dry cherries/pistachio 1/2 lb at $9 isn't exactly a bargain, but tastes great!

Google
Great place for fresh produce, too bad they are only there for a few hours every Sunday. Get there early for strawberries, they are so sweet and delicious that they sell out fast. The pomelos are sweet and tart, my youngest likes them!

Yelp
I wish I could tell you where the lush and incredible blackberries I purchased on Sunday came from, but everyone was packing up and pulling out so I tried to be as fast as p and didn't catch the name of either the farm or the woman who helped me. I do not know if I have ever bought fresh bbs-usually team raspy- but I asked the farmer to pick whatever berries were the best iho and she picked the bbs, so I went for them. But, my oh my. They had me shooketh. They were dare I say better than ....raspberries?! At least on Sunday they were. *Will update this if I ever find out the name of the farm. Or if I ever try something else. Also, will be sure to attach a photo of the carton bc maybe that will help for farm identification purposes* PS: The 5 stars is for the berries. I have come here maybe three times as I rarely make it down before they close. This is not a scene-y market with a view (a la ferry) ...it is small, humble, and in the middle of the city's sole dmv parking lot so if you are expecting the former, you may be disappointed . But, enjoy the produce and other small offerings here knowing you are supporting hard working farmers/bakers/florists,etc. whose sundays are your most stressful mondays. Maybe one day this market can utilize more of the large space and bring more vendors in. Until then, berries please.

Yelp
The Divisadero Farmers Market is a very comfortable size both in vendor mix and crowd size. Regarding parking, it had been a worry of mine in regards finding parking yet a spot was found on Divisadero just at the corner of Fell. Regarding the market, it had a few hot food vendors serving Dim Sum, and Buns, plus a nice mix of produce vegetables, plus proteins. Not huge but still more then sufficient for most purposes.

Yelp
I had higher expectations for this farmer's market! It's good and has all the basics, but it's small. Not worth traveling far for IMO, but worth it if you're in the area near the Panhandle, Golden Gate Park, Alamo Square, or the southern part of Divisadero. There's live music, juices and smoothies (that you can watch them make in front of you! And you get to keep the cup to-go and if you bring it back for more you get a discount!), and lots of fruit and veggies. There's some bread and baked goods too. It's a bit pricey, but good quality and very fun, and it seems tight-knit.

Yelp
I agree with another reviewer- what this market is missing is a proper sourdough baker, delivering loaves fresh from the hearth. That said, I am here every Sunday to get the weeks worth of WFH lunch supplies. I'm always able to get every fruit and vegetable I want, with some stall lines taking longer than others. The operation at the far back is most efficient and has the widest range. If you want a wide selection of cheeses, a morning coffee or a bite to eat- head elsewhere. This place could really use a barista coffee cart and more brunches! I think it's only a matter of time though. In the past several months, a fish monger and stall dishing up Thai street food have recent joined the party.

Yelp
A really good neighborhood Farmer's Market. Probably not worth going out of the way for, but on a recent visit it was SO nice to see a live band performing, and to ask the regulars about the best strawberry vendor, hang out a bit and observe. Luckily I had cash on me, although I had run out by the time I wanted to buy some salmon - the fishmonger does not take cards, and it seemed like a lot of the other vendors don't either - kind of a bummer. My favorite purchase (although those strawberries were pretty darned excellent) was from the flower vendor - they're from Watsonville, and unfortunately I didn't make not of their name - but they had beautifully colored hydrangeas and roses.

Yelp
I have been going to this Farmers' Market for a few months. I got dumplings, fresh squeezed juice, and pastry. The other farmers' market I would go to was in the Sunset district. This one has lots of vegetables, a meat stand, and much more to browse. It's at the DMV. Fun weekend activity.

Yelp
Great looking produce, but honestly a small market with little selection and overpriced. The produce stands (all 3 of them) are definitely worthwhile for fresh fruit grown in the area, but some of the more prepared food stands are ridiculously overpriced even for San Francisco! Going to the bi-rite market down the street is probably a better bet if you want more bang for your buck!
google avatar

Carol K.

Yelp
This is just a standard neighborhood farmer's market. I wouldn't come here unless it's walking distance to where you are. Prices are comparable to Mollie Stone / Whole Foods or higher. The frozen ravioli stand and avocado fed pork stand seemed interesting. Raviolis are $7 per pouch.

Yelp
Such a great Sunday market. It's small and so local which is the best.

Yelp
It's hard not to knock this market, it's over priced and has limited selection. It makes up for it with some really great vendors (tonys homemade, beckmann's bread and a grower from gilroy who has great vegetables at more reasonable prices). Generally the market serves the neighborhood well, I suppose bi-rite would be slightly more expensive then some of the high end growers. Seasonality is also well represented in the market, you can almost always find some of the freshest and currently ripping fruits from the vendors at this market. That really is the most important part, locally grown super fresh produce. It's not my favorite farmers market in the city and it has no character. There's no competition amongst vendors, one strawberry, one stone fruit, one nut, one egg, one flower and so on. It's a third of a block long and it's next door to the marijuana dispensary. In my mind it just meets the minimum requirements.

Yelp
Let's mark this under: places that would be a weekend regular if you were a local. Small but well edited, this farmers' market will have you giddy and elated at the opportunities to 'gram the latest fresh produce. Don't forget the hashtags. The colours of the produce are as vibrant as the locals that wander through this Sunday morning market and with pennies left over you can pop into any of the neighbouring cafes for a morning coffee to high-five yourself on such great shopping or to plot the delicious things you'll cook. Keep an open mind and come away with a treasure chest of delicious goods to fuel you for the week ahead.
google avatar

Yelp
Just say Yes to your local farmer's market. Yes, they are open every Sunday. Yes, they are local, kind of. At least Gilroy and Hollister are closer than Mexico and Peru. Yes, they are more expensive than Lucky. Yes, they are organic. At least their labels say so. Yes, they have no bananas. Or lettuce. But yes, they have enough different vegetables to keep you fed well for the whole week. Yes, I'll be back. The olives are delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
This is so AWESOME. Double awesome since it's in my neighborhood! Super-fresh & locally grown veggies, mouthwatering fruits & more - at true farmers market prices. The vibe is so feel-good & neighborly, too - lots of happy people relaxed & chatting...I look forward to it every Sunday!

Yelp
*********************** 655 ************************** A few blocks from where my aunt lives in Alamo Square, so Divisadero Farmers Market is where I come when I walk my cousin dog Peddy. They have quite a few fresh produce stands, flowers, jam, olive oil, breads, and more. Divisadero Farmers Market is quite small compare the real one at Ferry Building, but I usually get some good deals and consistent produce when I come here.

Ashley B.

Yelp
This market doesn't have many vendors, but every vendor is best in its class. A few notable stands include the best strawberries sold by Gabriel, awesome juice from Lisa (aka Juicy Lucy) who will fresh squeeze you something to brighten your day, and a relatively new stand that sells goat cheese and avocados. You'll feel good about supporting California farms and independent businesses, but really it's about buying the very best products that you'll ever find (well worth the time and money)

Logan N.

Yelp
I go to this farmers market every week and generally like it. The fruit is wonderful. As others say, it is a bit pricey and the selection could be better. My two biggest problems with the market are the fact that it opens so late (10am) and the lack of quality bread selection-- I want a nice crusty loaf of fresh baked sourdough, not the plastic wrapped week old pan loaf that is on offer at the bread stand here.

Yelp
I love the Divisadero Farmer's Market! What could be better than picking up fresh tomatoes and olives and making a beeline for *Bakers of Paris*- who have the best and most heavenly breads and oh yum - the palmiers and pain au chocolat- and then settling in at home with a plateful of olive oil-toasted bread topped with chopped tomatoes and a glass of wine. The new and improved Divisadero corridor with the new median/trees and this wonderful gem of a Farmer's Market are just a few of the reasons this neighborhood is so special. If you live here, go to the Farmer's Market. If you're not lucky enough to live in this neighborhood and have to live in Pacific Heights or the Marina, we'll welcome you here like long-lost, dear friends.

Yelp
I love this farmer's market! It's so cute and small - so we can see what they have and also not have to feel overwhelmed. The selection was great. Amazing fruits and veggies, a bakery - delish granola and fresh baked bear claws, fresh pasta/sauces/olives, flowers and more. It was a delight to take the dog on a morning jog and end up there to purchase my produce for the week. Please patronize it and keep it going!

Yelp
Just stumbled onto this market while checking out the Alamo Square Flea Market down the street. This was a great place to grab some snacks! There was vendor after vendor selling such a variety of stuff- fresh produce such as dates, nuts, fish, veggies, and fruits. They had a ton of samples, just to make sure that you're an informed consumer! The vendors were happy to answer any questions, and the prices weren't too bad either. All of the items looked to be of high quality. It's nice that most of the vendors hang out in the tents set up for them there, so you can dodge out of the sun when making your purchase.
google avatar

EE S.

Yelp
My favorite mrk. in the city; it's small so you won't get the selection of the larger places, but it covers all of the basics and the prices are good. I miss the sprout folks; two different vendors have up and gone. I was feeling very, very Norcal when I could buy fresh wheat grass.
google avatar

Yelp
Popping up each Saturday morning, this is a small but well stocked Farmer's Market offering beautiful produce at really great prices. Had I not been here staying in a hotel I would have stocked up on the tomatoes and flowers that were in abundance. What a great market to have if you live nearby and love cooking on the weekends.
google avatar

Yelp
Pros: - it's close to my house.. Cons: - there are, like, 5 vendors... very limited selection - I've never been to a Farmers' market before which had so little structure. It was difficult to get one of the fruit vendor's attention and after I paid, he was still holding out his hand for money and I had to remind him that I had already paid. - really crowded because there are so few vendors and so many people - they don't update their hours and were closed one weekend without notice - SO CROWDED (sorry, I can't get over how crowded it was) Bottom line: just don't. It sucks that this is the closest farmers' market I live near. I love the one in Mission Bay on Wednesday, but this one is just poopy.
google avatar

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Small farmers market, but with all the basics covered. Scored some peaches that were the most insanely sweet (and tasty) that I've had in a while, I also managed to stock up on walnuts (can't forget your omega-3s :). Plenty of free samples on offer, so you won't have to buy blind. Wish I had something like this within walking distance of my house!
google avatar

Lauren F.

Yelp
Fresh produce mere blocks from my house. An excuse to get out of the house on Sunday. Veggies for days for less than $10. I love the hood. I love the neighbors, and I love the ravioli lady. Love it.
google avatar

Kristy M.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for live music so when you throw that in the mix with a sunny San Francisco day walking around picking out fresh, local produce, fresh cut flower bouquets, and samples of over 15 different flavored almonds that makes for one brilliant afternoon! I wouldn't say it's the best in the city as there's not a huge variety but it's well set up and offers delicious burgers and unique produce you can't find in stores. For what it is I'd say 4 stars is well deserved, but compared to other, more larger FM's, it's more of 3.5.
google avatar

David A R.

Yelp
It's not a very big market, and they don't have any prepared foods, hot, to eat, but they have all the basics. The people are friendly without being pushy. And it's not incredibly crowded, and the food is fresh, and reasonably priced for a farmers market. $2 kale, $4strawberries the day I was there.
google avatar

Monica S.

Yelp
Took a ride over to the Divisadero Farmer's Market and found a quaint little smorgasbord of local delights waiting for me. Kale, heirlooms, chard, fresh fruit and veggie juices, cheeses, fresh seafood (in ziplock baggies), sausages and even locally sourced flowers! There's a few fruit and veggie stands with other misc items strewn throughout. Not a gigantic array, but totally solid for the folks who live Western Addition/NOPA. Can't quite compare to the Grand Lake farmer's market over the bridge though.
google avatar

Alyssa G.

Yelp
Though small, can't beat the convenience of this market. Walking a block for fresh produce is worth it! I was able to spend $40 on flowers, cinnamon almonds, tomatoes, pluots, peaches, nectarines, plums, brussel sprouts, oysters, cheese spread, fig spread and even an invite to an open house (hmmm that last one doesn't seem to fit the category). All the merchants are nice, know what they're doing and are very familiar with their products. Especially the fish guy!
google avatar

Alexis B.

Yelp
I'm always for farmers markets. And being 5 blocks from my house, this one will have a special place in my heart. Mostly in the way that it provides me with local produce when I am too lazy to haul my ass down to the Embarcadero building on Saturday. But to be fair it has all that I need. Strawberries, nectarines, tomatoes, blueberries, and often what feels like for cheap. So I'll keep going when I need to. And I hope it comes back in the spring/summer.
google avatar

Melissa J.

Yelp
This little Sunday farmer's market is exactly why I love my neighborhood. On the way, we pass lots of happy people, their cotton bags stuffed to the brim with fresh veggies and big yellow sunflowers. I go every sunday. and I sample the yummy olive spreads, and the blueberries and the peaches. I love the organic strawberries so much that I can't even eat the grocery store variety anymore. Always take home a bunch of wildflowers and a loaf of asiago cheese bread. hurray for all the dogs! and the cute kids with berry stained faces! I love you Divisidero Farmers Market. I wish you'd come all year long.
google avatar

Pete J.

Yelp
I know there is already an establishment calling themselves "Divisadero Farmers Market", but there is nothing true to that place except the Divisadero part. This little work of magic is actually a real honest to goodness weekly farmers market, & today was Opening Day. Ah! Opening Day! The roar of the crowd! The crack of the bat! The goofy organ playing! The seventh inning stretch! Okay not quite the same thing as baseball's opening day, but they did have an array of extremely fresh fruit & veggies on the street right next to Lily's BBQ. I secured myself a bag of ripe & delicious plums for $2 & I'm already halfway done with 'em. Now That's what I'm talkin' bout when I'm talkin' bout a Divis Farmers Market.
google avatar

Jarvus P.

Yelp
I love that I have the option of walking a few blocks down the street and getting most of the veggies I need for the week at this farmer's market. I do wish that there were more selection of fruits, besides the basic strawberries and citrus items- would love to see some peaches and apricots thrown in the mix. Also noticed that some of the vendors are really pretty pricey (the asparagus and eggs, for example) but for the most part you can get a huge bag of brussel sprouts for like, $2. Besides the veggies, I'm a fan of the bakery that pops up here (love the fresh baked baguettes and dutch crunch bread) and the home maid company spreads (can't stop eating the garlic parmesean spread!)
google avatar

Darcy N.

Yelp
The Divisadero market is the best thing since sliced bread. Certainly the 'second' best thing about Sundays. It's small but really, it has everything you need. I like to pick up tomatoes, fruit and for $2/lb, and always go to my favorite, the Sonoma Olive Company. Everything they have is amazingly delicious, the only reason I may get up slightly earlier than usual (very difficult task) is to pick up their hand made ravioli before they run out. I then go stare at the orchids at length every week and wonder if I should commit to taking one home. (I haven't yet.) Then when I can't fit anything else in my super tote I meander back home. Everyone except for the girls with the blueberries is friendly there. Have you tried making a tomato sandwich? Just tomato. With hummus and/or mayo, if you like mayo. Super stuff, go pick up some ripe tomatoes. It's a beautiful way to Start a Sunday. The 'first' best thing about Sundays? -Asking for forgiveness of the mess that was your Saturday night. We've all got to start afresh sometime.

Yelp
Bear claw, you just rocked my Sunday morning. I think I've hit most of the major weekend farmers' markets in the city by now, and although they all offer some things slightly better or worse than when compared to others, none of them get it exactly right. You can break down the Divisadero farmers' market this way: Pros: - The quality of the fruit and veggies here is above average. I've bought some of the sweetest fruit and greenest greens from this market - Didn't I just mention something about a bear claw? Yeah, the bear claw at the front bread stand was fantastic. Huge, covered in powdered sugar, flaky on the outside, soft of the inside, and filled to the brim with almond paste. $2.95, and you can ask for a sample (bonus for big samples!) I'll have to try their olallieberry goods next time. - There's a good variety of stands, with prepared food, cheese, honey, fruit, vegetables and bread. - It's close to a lot of stuff on Divisadero, so you grab breakfast somewhere around there and wander over to the market - They sometimes have live music OK, now for the cons: - The prices here higher than you would find at places like Alemany or the UN Plaza market. I guess the quality's better, so you're probably paying for that, but just know that your peaches and plums may come in a few bucks more. - It's small. No more than half a block long. They either have it or they don't, it's not much of a browsing market. I'd say only 1-2 stands per product, so you won't be able to do a lot of comparison shopping. That maybe also why the prices may be a little higher, because there's less competition - Where are the trash cans? - Parking around here can be challenging Worth a visit to try out their produce if you're still searching for a consistently good farmers' market. Damn, now I want another bear claw.

Yelp
So I've been to the large farmers markets with what feels like 100+ vendors, with everything ranging from 20 flavors of jam to serving up artisinal slices of toast, and while you may not find as many super specific vendors here, you will still find quality and a reasonable amount of artisinal products. first of all, most farmer's markets have multiple stands that sell almost the exact same product, and the reason this market is so small is because they have avoided that for the most part.....which I think is nice. They have a couple of stands that sell lots of veggies and herbs, and a few that sell fruit, and that's it for produce but it's definitely enough. Honestly when I go to a market that has 94039280 stands selling the same produce it just takes me longer to decide which one to actually buy from so I appreciate the time saving. they also have really great stands with baked goods (fresh bread and pastries), artisanal soap, artisanal nut butters, flowers, fresh pressed juices. artisinal jams, and a few more that I can't really remember. They important thing here is the quality. In my opinion there is a noticeable difference in flavor, freshness, and longevity of the produce I buy here vs at whole foods. I find that the fruits and veggies I have bought here taste better, last longer, and are cheaper than at whole foods. FLOWERS, that is the one thing that has made me a regular at this market. Every time I buy flowers from the flower lady they last me TWO WEEKS. That is practically unheard of, and the reason that I now refuse to buy flowers form anywhere other than here. The prices are also really good at the flower stand and the lady there is so nice, and helpful. So while this isn't the market to take your tourists from out of town for an intense FM experience (that would probably work better at the Ferry Building Farmer's Market) this IS the market to frequent when you actually just want to buy produce and artisanal products that are high quality and reasonably priced for your actual life.

Yelp
Man I love this place!! Every sunday I wake up thinking Hmm...what to do today? And then I think heck yea! I know what I'm doing first / for lunch. Farmers Market! I roll out of bed, drag the bf the half block to the market and begin my perusal. We have a typical route: run first to the ravioli lady so that I can be informed YET AGAIN that the butternut squash ones have been gone for over an hour (theyve only been open an hour and 10 minutes!!), get other raviolis. Go to beckmanns bakery, get the tomato / cheese pizza bread thingers. Get as much produce as my additional $ will allow. Finally, grab a coffee from the stand in plant it earth / go to Mojos. Right now they have good fall veggies, squashes etc. In summer you cant beat all the nectarine & peach samples. OH the apple juice / cider that sells there is out of this world good. Really awesome because the staples are ALWAYS there and it seems like a new booth pops up almost every week! Now to only get the ravioli lady to stock more butternut squash raviolis...and see who books the hilarious music choices.

Yelp
I love the Divisadero Farmers' Market. It's on the smaller side, but high quality and well-priced. The produce is fresh and delicious, and there are quite a few certified organics to choose from, especially given the limited number of vendors. The produce is also less expensive than what you'd find at Whole Foods or the Ferry Plaza market. Then there's the ravioli/olive vendor. That ravioli is so incredibly delicious, and the olives are spectacular (olives stuffed with cheese--yum!); they gave us a great deal since we bought so much! Plus, the lady and her sidekick are such characters, I love visiting them. A good variety of breads are available at this market too ... mmmmm carbs. And you don't have to worry about these breads being packed with high fructose corn syrup and all the rest of the industrial, processed ingredients I've come to expect from most grocers. I've never tried the street food here, but I probably will at some point ... it always smells amazing. It's also nice that there seems to be a steady flow of clientele, but it's not overly crowded, nor is it overwhelming with too many choices. Fantastic neighborhood farmers' market!

Yelp
Every now and then I go to this farmers market - mostly when I am near Golden Gate Park and it's convenient to visit this market. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this farmers market, as there are better market options in San Francisco. The things that would make it even better are more variety. It's a small market with vegetables, fruits, eggs, and nuts (along with some prepared foods/food products). Don't expect to find many meat options there though. And it's so close to Birite, which is a pro and con. Pro in that if you cannot find something at the farmers market, Birite probably has it. However, the market could reach even more people that are looking for fresh produce (and don't already have access to it) if it were further north or south of where it's placed currently.

Yelp
I went to this market on Sunday and was very impressed. It is very small (only 8 or so booths) but there was a great selection considering. I currently am subscribed to a CSA that comes to me every Tuesday. this is great for cooking Tuesday through Saturday, but most of my veggies are past their prime by Sunday and certainly by Monday. This farmers market is a great "bridge" for me to not have to spend those two night seating out or heating up some crap from the grocery store. The olive/dip lady had some AMAZING dips. Her ravioli was OK (a little mushy). I also agree with Rita C. on that one produce stand - great produce for very cheap - lots of greens too! Bread place is also delish. Highly recommended as a bridge between other Farmers markets - I couldn't do my weeks shopping here.
google avatar

Nina Q.

Yelp
This farmers market is great for flowers. I get them here every Sunday and they always last the entire week without even getting limp. The man who sells them is super sweet too and you can tell he really cares aout what he does. I would reccomend this place to anyone who is looking for a great place for freah flowers. The produce is great too. It is much smaller than other farmers markets in the city. The selection is good enough for me but if you are looking for any particulars maybe go to the Civic Center market.

Yelp
Divisadero's farmers' market is one of the smaller farmers' markets in the area. Luckily I live within walking distance, but I wouldn't really suggest anyone to make the journey across town to come here. That being said, it is packed with variety- from box loads of organic fruits and vegetables, to the SF Grill or the Italian ravioli guy, to the ready made spiced nuts. I never leave here empty handed. Unexpectedly, my favorite vendor here is the kind lady who sells flowers at the end of the market (by the live music no less) - one bunch for $4 and 2 bunches for $7. I recently bought two bunches of gorgeous and larger than life sunflowers, both orange and yellow. They were stunning and dirt cheap. Will definitely make this farmer's market my go to for any floral needs.

Yelp
I'm so happy they have a farmer's market so close to me now. In the perfect location to get a coffee from Mojo and do some shopping. I guess this was their first week, there were 10 or 12 stalls, a decent selection of bread, fruits, veggies etc. Our hood definitely needed this and I'm sure I'll be there most weeks to get some of my weeks provisions. 11/02/08: The NOPA Farmer's Market has become a Sunday morning staple for me. Great produce, Beckman's bread, good olives/sauces and pasta stand, good prices and an interesting selection. I haven't gotten anything form the meat purveyors yet, buy I stare at that stall for at least 5 minutes every weekend. Oh yeah, the location rocks since I can get there in like two minutes walking!

Yelp
I'm embarrassed to admit how many delicious organic strawberries I ate today after my weekly trip to the Divisadero Farmers Market.. I could only be happier if I was a little bird and I scooped down from the sky to eat those strawberries right off the plant. That said, it should be called the Grove Street Market... and the rumors of it possibly not continuing should be put to a quiet death. This market is just what the neighborhood was missing.

Yelp
I had no idea this farmer's market existed. But then I never come by this area during the day. Recently came to check out 4505 Meats which has a presence here and got to check out one of the baker's booths as well. Not very large but a lot of cool vendors. It was pouring rain but still a lot of food traffic and the neighborhood is definitely happening. When 4505 gets their resto going this place is going to really blow up

Yelp
I am so so so happy that there is a farmers market in the neighborhood! Its small but serves all of your needs for seasonal produce. They also have bread, an Italian food stand and flowers. I got a perfect little bouquet of roses for $6 last weekend, homemade butternut squash ravioli and fresh produce that's going to last me a week. I used to haul bags of farmers market stuff on Thursdays from downtown, no more! Hooray for Divis Farmers Market!

Yelp
Can I just say, I love our farmer's market. I mean, truth be told, I don't know that I've ever been to one that I *didn't* like to some extent, if only by its very virtue of being what it is. But I love that we have one that's walking distance to our apartment, that we see familiar faces there, that we get to eat by the seasons, that our son gets to eat lots of yummy (healthy) samples, and more... My only complaint is I almost wish it was a bit larger. I can't say I know what else I'd want - it has everything really (produce, meat, baked goods, dairy, flowers, specialty items (honey, nuts, etc) - but I just feel like we walk 10 feet and it's done. I guess my other complaint is that they did away w/ the live music. I tended to like that element (especially the French organist). Overall though, a highlight of our weekend...

Yelp
We got the most amazing produce today. I was commenting that the produce was WAY WAY better quality than the grocery stores (Lucky or Safeway). The samples allow me to find new things that I wouldn't have tried otherwise. I would really like to see the Asian produce put names and maybe recipes on their stuff. We are so excited that the farmers market is in the neighborhood, we are definitely making this a weekly outing! The gf said it well, all this and on the crack alley of the neighborhood. Arguably, it hasn't been that bad on Grove since 2004 or so.

Yelp
Back this week after a couple weeks off for the Farmers to have some holiday time... The PCFMA comes back this week and should have more yummy olives stuffed with Blue cheese and figs ... YUM.. There are also the apple juice gals who bring fresh cider and the other lovely farmers... Bonus because I can walk there...

Yelp
Kinda small, but jam packed with great options. I am so happy this place is here, as it's the closest farmer's market to where I live. I scored some amazing peaches, cheap heirloom tomatoes, and fell in love with the homemade pasta available. Plus, the inexpensive, yet beautiful, flowers brightened up my apartment. I can't wait to hit it up next week.
