Division Winemaking Company Opens the Wine Yard, a New Winery and Tasting Room | Eater Portland

"I learned that winemakers Kate Norris and Thomas Monroe founded Division Winemaking Company in 2010, producing Oregon and Washington wines inspired by Loire, Beaujolais, Burgundy, and Northern Rhone styles; after operating out of their SE 35th Place location for nine years, they're closing the chapter on their SE Wine Collective and Oui! restaurant projects as they open a new urban winery." - Janey Wong

"I know Division Winemaking employed Drew Herman as a former assistant winemaker, and the business is listed among local wine industry contributors donating product to a raffle raising funds for Herman and Elise Hansen after Herman's brain tumor diagnosis." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Eater Portland’s Guide to Local Bar, Restaurant, and Cafe Merch | Eater Portland

"I noticed this urban winery’s merch shop includes the expected gift cards and a cute duck tote, but also branded rolling papers (which come free with any purchase) as a quirky addition." - Seiji Nanbu

10 out of 10. Allow me to explain…flew to Oregon to get a taste of what this region has to offer for wine and I was sooooo pleased with Division Winemaking First off we ended up at the wrong place for our wine tasting reservation Divison Wine not Winemaking and after the confusion and showing up late they still allowed us to partake in a tasting. The space was intimate yet vibrant. This was the only wine tasting that offered an amazing cheese and meat board AND a non-alcoholic wine flight which was great because my husband is sober. Division Winemaking by far had the BEST wines I tasted over a 3 day 7 winery trip. The flavors of the reds & whites were so robust and hearty.I fell in love and would visit Oregon again just to go to Division Winemaking. Shout out to Brian who hosted us and was soooo friendly and amazing. Y’all keep doing what you do because you are top-notch in the wine making business. You gained a #1 fan!

Tom gave me and my group a wonderfully personal tour of his wines He's very knowledgeable and enjoyable to spend time with. Delicious wines too from the entire range from whites to reds to champagnes!

Exceptionally approachable wines. Many of their wines enjoy neutral aging techniques, allowing for a drink-now taste. The Pinot Gris Gamay blend was one of the better summer sippers I’ve tried. So impressed that I joined the wine club.

Riley provided a lovely experience for myself and couple of girlfriends. The meat and cheese board was top notch along with all of the wines. I liked how the production facility was in view of the tasting room. It felt like a little taste of wine country, but right in the city. How neat!

I was so completely impressed by Division Wine Co. Not only did they have an array of beautiful wines on offer, but the hospitality left me with no notes. Perfection. Reilly, Jill and Sloane made my friend and I feel welcomed, comfortable and well taken care of during our 4 hour (!!) visit. I cannot recommend Division Wine Co enough and I will certainly be back.

Riley and Kevin were amazing. First time wine tasting was a dream walk with them. Both were very knowledgeable and friendly. Learned so much more than I thought I could. Kevin has his own and was so excited to share his own beautiful creations. Definitely worth it! Thank you! 😊

Some of the best wine I've ever had! Not to mention, Kate is one of the nicest, most personable people I've met in a long time 🧡 so excited to have met her as well as had the privilege of tasting some of her wines. Looking forward to trying many more!
