What visit in Cape Coral with friends, we were looking for a fun place to hang out after dinner to grab a few drinks and listen to music. Never having been to Dixie Roadhouse, we didn’t know what to expect but we headed over. We had so much fun! The drinks were good, the music was great, the bartenders and staff were all friendly and helpful, and we met some really great people there as well. We met a really fun couple from Barrie,Ontario which is only about 2 1/2 hours away from our home in Buffalo, New York. DJ Corey even found and played a song that I requested be dedicated to our new friends! I highly recommend Dixie Roadhouse for a really fun time while visiting Southwest Florida!

Bar tenders always remember you for good reasons... The atmosphere is unbeatable... Never have issues with people and the big ass fan allows for great circulation. Square dance lessons often, no covers before 9... $5 cover after 9. Great mix of modern and oldie mixes... Great time for anyone. Great drink deals and spin the wheel prizes. Been coming on and off for years... Lately been coming back down for the lessons... Gotta get back to knowing a good handful of them. Keep them shin splints burning... Lol... Food trucks outside always have good tacos.

Google
1st time there with friends. Learning a dance every half hour is awesome. Ladies night $3 well drinks . Great time

Google
I don’t understand why the reviews are this low? I’m visiting from Miami and this place is just amazing! Great crowd, the bartenders are very attentive. The DJ is great with giving the crowd what they want. A little bit of everything for everyone. Definitely be coming back on my next visit.

Google
I had a fantastic time at this bar! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and lively. The music was just the right volume — not too loud so that you could have a conversation. The drinks were well-made, and the prices were very reasonable compared to other places. The bartender was super friendly and attentive and made great recommendations when I wasn’t sure what to order. There was plenty of seating, and the place was clean, which made the experience even better. Overall, it’s the kind of bar you want to return to — a great spot to relax with friends, enjoy a few drinks, and have a good time.

To please 5 smokers, they allow people to smoke cigarettes in this dance club… Sorry, unable to sustain the bad smell. Staff was unbelievable, security guys let us visit the dancing club for free. Sadly, to accommodate roughly 5 persons who have a bad habit of smoking, management allows people those smokers in this building to pollute the air. Hence, 200 people are suffering smelling disgusting air quality while probably 30 people are staying home because they can’t withstand cigarette smoke. I’ll be back while smokers won’t be allowed to smoke inside. I mean, come on, who’s smoking in 2025? Management: in Montreal, all restaurants and private businesses don’t allow smoking inside inside and even on the terrace and guess what…. Smokers are still going to those businesses because they like the ambiance. They go outside for 2 minutes, 25 feet away from the entrance or the terrace, get their fix of nicotine and poison, and then get back inside and everybody is pleased and happy.

If you're hoping for a fun night of dancing, smiling, and just letting loose—keep moving. This place treats line dancing like a military operation. I was not politely (read: aggressively) told to get off the floor for not following the steps and just enjoying myself.Smiling? Laughing? Big no-no. Apparently, joy is against the rules. Whole thing felt more like a dance boot camp than a good time. Absolutely would never come back. Just had all intentions of having an amazing time, free spirit all the goodness and pure awful.

Samantha

Google
Line dancing was fun!!! The bartenders were not the nicest and tried to overprice drinks during happy hour. The woman who fixed the issue was very kind but the woman who served the drinks was very condescending. To top it off experienced some very creepy men while there that felt predatory.

Yelp
Super cool spot. I come here usually on weekends, really nice crowd for line dancing, plus 3 bars, big place. A great bar to bring your friends visiting from out of town. Lessons at 7:30p, 8:30p and 10:30p. Get here before 9p for no cover. Check out the sign at the door when you get here lol! #ThumbsUp :)

Aubrey F.

Yelp
People were so rude. Me and my friends were trying to have fun from out of town and the people dancing were a$$holes and told us to get off the dance floor. We were just having fun and everyone was so rude. Get better customers don't come here

Lacey R.

Yelp
Very rude wait staff. Threw away pepper spray, that I had for an uber. Denied a REAL North Carolina ID. Worst experience i've ever had at a bar and I was there 10 minutes max.
google avatar

Samantha A.

Yelp
My Boyfriend and I had a mutual friend invited us for a night of line dancing. The dancing had us both awestruck, we weren't as seasoned in the skills of dancing but the crowds made the evening a blast. I slowly warmed up to the atmosphere, the dance floor calls your name at Dixie's Roadhouse and if you dare to let out your Wild West side the memories are priceless.
google avatar

Jackie C.

Yelp
I highly recommend taking any out of town visitors here. Dixie is very fun, great music, and a variety of people. You may be deterred by the fact it is a country music bar but everyone I know always has a great time.

Gus A.

Yelp
thought going in this would be a cool place, and by atmosphere stand point it was, I liked the atmosphere and felt like a cowboy rantch. but the msic they were playing when it was not the new rap inspired country backwash it was typical horce rattish modern pop music. If I wanted songs like R Kelly singing about how he loves peeing on prostitutes blasted in my ear holes all night with strobe lights all around I would go to Cantina in Gulf Coast Town Center, this is suppose to be country.

Lauren S.

Yelp
This recommended as a night club. we were put on "watch"and then kicked out when we're dancing & dropping down with our friends our friends at a bachelorette at a wine dance bar. Terrible service and bartenders: What the heck kind of dive bar is this? Will never be back. Bye y'all. Don't give them your service. Even our uber driver said "they don't know what they're doing". Never will be back again. Do not recommend if you're trying to have a fun time from out of town

Evan P.

Yelp
Really nice, honky-tonk look on the inside but the music did not reflect that. The line dancing classes are a nice perk, but would've liked to hear more country music. Can't line dance to Usher and Michael Jackson. Mixed drinks are very strong.

Nikki E.

Yelp
Literally the worst staff I ever had to deal with in my whole life. The blonde bartender we had tonight (5-27-23) should be fired. She was the rudest bartender we have ever had in our whole lives. She straight up told my boyfriend "stop talking" when he was trying to ask for a certain drink. She asked me, his girlfriend, "are you with him?!" I said yes and she rolled her eyes. Then apparently asked the people we were with where we were from, since apparently what my boyfriend was asking for was too complicated for her little stupid mind. The atmosphere at Dixie is awesome, but the staff is so damn disappointing. Hire new people. Fire the blonde 40 year old at the bar. She has no place tending to people. Hey owner of Dixie, read all your other shit reviews. You're doing something wrong.

MARNI S.

Yelp
Place used to be good. Now rude bouncers act like jerks. Definitely don't understand customer service. Don't waste your money.
google avatar

Julia W.

Yelp
I go here often and they're usually good.. went for St Patty's Day and asked for a water to sober up, they told me "they don't have time to pour waters so go somewhere else" ...

Yelp
If you like to 2step, triple step, polka, waltz, or even slow dance don't go here!!!!!!!!! They Only line dance nothing else I have been there 3 times thinking I just was on the wrong night but no they only line dance. I won't ever go back!!! The Ranch is about 10 min and that's my new dance club!!!!

Elizabeth A.

Yelp
Great time dancing and not feeling awkward for being a newbie. Biggest complaint is it is So Filled with Cigarette Smoke. Need smoke machine and half to be non smoking. I think they would have a lot more customers is they tried compensating for us non smokers. No lectures needed as I smoked for 30 years.

Pam C.

Yelp
Please do not spend your money here! I am 60 years old and they blamed me for bringing outside alcohol in, which i absolutely did not. My son in law found an unopened can of beer in the bathroom, and jokingly set it up on the bar and asked if he could trade it in for a cold one. He was doing this horrible place a favor, by turning it over to them. The security guards came over to ME and accused me of taking it out of my purse, which I absolutely did not. They then proceeded to kick me out, without offering us a refund on the drinks I just purchased. The security guards are over zealous! I had a party of over 10 people, all of us 60. They lost all of business forever, and I will for sure tell everyone I know to never go there.

Alex K.

Yelp
Horrible establishment. Do not even try to go here. I will be putting public reviews on Facebook, etcetera. This is only the beginning. Tried to go in. Guy interrogated me asking me what year I graduated high school, my eye color, height, etc and didn't let me in. I Will not spend a penny on this establishment. I hope they go out of business treating their patrons like this. I AM 25!!!

William C.

Yelp
Watch your tab bill! I was charged $8.25 more then what I signed for and gave the bartender a $10 cash tip to boot!

mike h.

Yelp
Dixie road house is probably the only bar you will find a younger crowd (21 - 35) in all of cape coral. Music is good, learning line dances is fun, everyone is social and easy to talk with. Service is friendly.
google avatar

Erica W.

Yelp
Dixie is unlike any other line dancing place... It is so much fun! They play great music that's a mix of everything and the line dances are pretty easy to pick up. Drinks are great and cheap. One of my favorite places to attend on the weekends!
google avatar

Rhonda O.

Yelp
Terrible place!! If u didn't know the line dance that made u get off the dance floor. Well how do they expect people to learn the dance if they don't let u on the floor. We will not be back. We were buying food and liquor but they wouldn't let us dance! What a joke. Don't waste your money

Kathi T.

Yelp
It I could leave zero star I would, to start off the "security "-wich are just staff members that have no idea about safety or how to properly check an ID, looked at my ID and thought I needed to be further questioned-fine. She asked me how old i was, when my birthday was and when I graduated high school..so i looked at her and said "well '19 but i never graduated I got my GED later on" and that musst have been her breaking point and she denied me entry. Didnt i needed a high school diploma to drink and line dance.

Carl S.

Yelp
They have only maybe 10 minutes of freestyle dancing per night, that dancing that you might have seen in their Facebook pictures. The rest of the entire night, it's endless country and line dancing and 5, 6, 7, 8 at the start of every song. If you like endless line dancing for 8 hours nonstop except for one 10-minute "break" during the entire night where they play freestyle dancing/party music or the DJ doesn't count to 8 at the start of a song, then Dixie is the place to be. If you like more of a variety of music, then Dixie is the wrong club to be at, and if you're not a line dancer, Dixie is pretty much only good for people watching, which gets boring after a couple of hours. They don't play varieties of music like they used to over a decade ago, not even after 11.

Yelp
Really amazing frozen pina colada! You must get the fried green tomatoes for an app (it has a really great dipping sauce). Had a cheese burger with an egg and fries. The fries were seasoned and amazing. Only had half of my burger. While it was great, it was a little under seasoned. I should have just added some salt but was so hungry after being out on the boat all morning I just ate it right away. The view is gorgeous! Great little bar and grille to go to after being out on the water.
google avatar

Rick N.

Yelp
For a country bar was kind of disappointed they were playing rap and pop music. Why you're a country bar. Play country music that's why I came in,
google avatar

Michele L.

Yelp
There is plenty of parking in the back 2 lots. There is a $5.00 cover charge and everyone will get carded. The space is open and large with 4 bars, the largest one has seating and there are dining tables. The decor is layered with country and antiques. The drinks were strong and service was okay. There is good country and southern rock music playing with occasional line dancing instructions. But, there is smoking throughout and we had a smoker beside us.
google avatar

Deb D.

Yelp
$5 cover charge for a young girl's album release party. Drinks were 25 cents. Right. Don't order the wine, but then, what does one expect for a quarter? Line dance lesson occurs between sets. Smoky - as smoking is permitted in here! What? Yup. Food: sliders, fries, and a really tasty bacon. I did note they get some decent musicians in, however, the fact that this is not smoke free would keep me from coming back.

Yelp
We heard this was the place to go in the Cape for a night out, so we reluctantly built up the courage with a few drinks and made our way there. Upon arrival we noticed quite a few Harleys parked right out front and smoke rolling out the front door. At first we though the place was on fire but that was not the case as we learned later. There was no line to get in and we were greeted at the door with a grunt from the burly bouncer. We handed him our IDs and were allowed to pass. We then paid our $5.00 per person access fee to the angry girl at the register. This is the first time we paid a fee to get in to any club in this area but then realized that is was a great deal considering the fact that the carton of cigarettes we inhaled that night would have cost us much more! The crowd was a mix of elderly people, hicks that looked to have just crawled out of the backwoods, girls and guys of enormous proportion and a few regular looking people. They should have taken a lesson from the local waste disposal company, installed a scale at the door and charged based on weight. They would make a killing! The bar service was generally slow and the drinks were higher priced than all the other clubs we have been to in the area. On a positive note, they were walking around handing our free shots. I guess they had to do something to get people drunk because that's the only way they are getting a reference or good review from anyone normal! We stayed a couple hours, danced a little and tried to give it a chance due to the fact that we live somewhat close by. The music wasn't as bad as we expected with a mix of everything but it's not enough to solicit our return. Time to burn our clothes and find a new lung!

Yelp
Pretty cool venue. A lot of cool decorations Different and fun. Good music with good energy.

Yelp
OK so maybe I'm not the most fair person to review this joint because I despise country music and hics. However, even the biggest rednecks can agree with the following.. the drink prices are outrageous! It does have a great big dance floor and it can get "poppin" but largely is just a trap... especially since there are so many other cool and unique bars flourishing over Cape Coral. Only reason I'm giving this 2 stars instead of 1 is that they do a good job of bringing in musicians(although a piss poor job advertising the events).. I've seen Bone Thugs n' Harmony, The Misfits, Dirty Heads.. all good shows. But I've missed a lot of shows purely because I had no idea they were happening. Also the building gets 3000° during concerts as they have a tendacy to go over capacity. And experienced a very awkward moment when one of the off duty police they hired for security fondled me in the groin area when I was going in for a concert. Felt good to me but I don't think most guys appreciated that.

Yelp
I really enjoy country music so I wanted to check it out. Went in during a "Trolley" event which was just ok. Last night, my wife invited me to join her and her friends for "Ladies Night" since some of the other husbands were going. Although it is a very nice place, the drinks are WAYYYYYY over priced and there is always a cover charge! If the owner or manager would just look around at the other 5 or so facilities that are within walking distance, they would see how PACKED the other places are. Dixie is just not able to keep up! With so much potential being wasted due to overpricing is just a tragedy! As a business owner myself, I have been able to step back and take a look from an outside view! Thank goodness I did because it tripled my profits. DIXIE OWNER, WAKE UP!!! YOU COULD DOUBLE OR TRIPLE WHAT YOU DO IF YOU HAD SOMEONE RUNNING THE BUSINESS THAT ACTUALLY WANTED TOO

Yelp
This was a fun place with friendly people. It was a great place to dance. The instructor was very good.

Yelp
It's always a good time at The Dixie Roadhouse. Wednesdays are "ladies night" which means ladies get in for free and $1 drinks until midnight. There's also a prize wheel that you can spin for prizes. Thursdays are more mellow and consist of the "regulars". Thursdays are also throwback nights so they play an awesome selection of 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s songs. Also, throwback prices on drinks. Not quite as energetic as Wednesdays or the weekend. Friday and Saturdays are typically the busiest nights here. If you want the full experience on any given night, come earlier -- around 9:30-10:00. You'll see that the music and crowd vastly changes around 11:00 and onward. Earlier in the night, they tend to play country music and as the night goes on, they start playing rock, rap/hip hop and pop music. The line dancing doesn't stop much either, the crowd will line dance to ANYTHING. It tends to get pretty crowded after midnight like any typical dance club. Drinks are not cheap (unless it's Thursday), but not unreasonably expensive either. It will still be well under $10 per premium shot and typically mixed drinks will run you about $7-10. The cover charge is $5, but if you are military, fire, police or work for lee county hospital system, it's typically free. Next door which is connected, there is the bar called Rockade. That's more of a traditional bar if you aren't into the whole line dancing and/or country music scene. One of the biggest down sides of this establishment is that smoking is permitted inside. It can get pretty smokey inside and expect your clothing and hair to smell of smoke at the end of the night. Unfortunately, there's just no way around it. Towards later in the night, it gets very crowded -- thus, getting a drink will be much more difficult. That's just the nature of ANY bar that gets crowded. If you need water, there are two large water coolers near the men's restroom in the back with disposable cups. Save yourself the time and hassle of having to get in line with the bartender for a glass of water. In all honesty, if you aren't into country music and/or line dancing, then this place is probably not for you unless you like to "people watch". Otherwise, this place is absolutely awesome! Good vibe, great people, fun line dances and many smiles throughout the night. Nothing even comes close to a good time out in this area in my honest opinion. Just a pro tip, if you don't know any of the dances, don't hesitate to try and mimic the regular dancers or even ask them how to do the dances FROM THE SIDE. But for the love of god, don't be that belligerent drunk a**hole who plants himself/herself in the middle of the dance floor bumping into everyone and their moms as they peacefully try to line dance and have a good time. No, the center of attention does not belong to you! As any place that has a coordinated dance floor, there are dance floor etiquettes.

Lyn P.

Yelp
Oh it's horrid. Just trashy and loud and the grimiest bathrooms. Just a dive bar without anything to make it special. Except maybe the action in the parking lot. Bring cash

Maureen D.

Yelp
Went here last night. The music was great, the dance floor large but they allowed smoking indoors. Sorry but I won't be back.

Chelsey L.

Yelp
Bouncers all have authority complex . Rude to customers and have attitudes every time i have been there . They treat people like trash . First impressions are everything
google avatar

Jennifer M.

Yelp
We went to bike night & ended up here because we found out RATT was playing the outside stage that night. After the concert we went in to check it out. It's a big place, country themed, and the dance floor was packed with line dancing. We stayed for a beer. Once again country music & line dancing not really my thing but if it's your thing then I would say give it try. The music was actually pretty good while we were in there.
google avatar

Luis N.

Yelp
Not gonna lie...this place was much better than I expected. Especially with the crazy heavy medal bar next door screaming some angry shit at me. I figured this country bar would get drowned out. Nope. It was a pretty lively night with a great mix of people. The songs and dances are like every other country bar where some people know the dances and some don't. They have one or two really difficult songs and a song they do a tutorial type of song. Then out of nowhere they start playing some hip hop and some rock. I enjoyed it. Beer was cheap and my whiskey on the rocks ran me like less than $10 I think but it did take me pretty long to get the attention of the bar tender. Longer than normal I think. Am I going to come back? Don't tell my wife but I wouldn't mind. ha-ha
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
From down to Naples up to Cape Coral, everyone's heard of Dixie Roadhouse! Cover on most nights is $5. Ladies night on Wednesdays- no cover for ladies. There are 3 full bars around the dance floor and at the very back side of the place is a raised platform with tables to sit, drink, and watch line dancers in action. We kept ordering Jack and Cokes all night, bartenders are all great. I line dance often and I must say what I enjoyed the most was the size of the dance floor! Best nights are Wednesdays and Fridays. Cons: 1) Smoking allowed indoors and boy do people take advantage of it. My skin even smelled like smoke by the end of the night. 2) This is a college central hub.
google avatar

Margherita F.

Yelp
It's a big place, multiple bars so you can get a drink. Wednesdays ladies enter and drink for free. But if you want to start a tab, you're leaving an ID or credit card AT THE BAR with your handwritten tab in an area where if it's busy someone can reach over and grab your card. I don't find that comforting at all. Their system is basic registers instead of a pos system that can access tabs at all registers. If you want to meet new people, forget it. Gone multiple times and people don't socialize outside of whoever they go with. Never been somewhere that was like that for an experience.
google avatar

Chandler A.

Yelp
Great for people watching and the bartenders are great!! You can't help but have a good time.

Charlene R.

Yelp
Wow!! This club is soooo smooth. The guy at the door cards EVERYONE regardless of your age so when the LUCKY person walks in to the club they have been WAITING for to try n ROLL AGAIN , they can send the HIT MAN to her n he tries to pick you up n take you home to knock you off with a drug overdose of herion like they did to Anna Nicole Smith! Lol! I don't do drug's and don't drink when out n haven't drank in about 10yrs. To say the least I will NEVER be back to this dump again full of smoker's also!

Isabel P.

Yelp
This place deserves 0 stars. The bouncers and owner is super rude. No customer service. I didn't notice that there's a cover charge and the bouncer that's dealing with that hit me with his leg. The owner came shouted at me and told me he is right. Sorry I don't deal with people who manage their place like hood. Disgusting place. Don't go there!!!
google avatar

Jake B.

Yelp
So everyone in the area knows of Dixie Roadhouse. There is a cover it all depends on what nights you go. The dance floor is really big and you just have to try dancing once if you go there. They have three bars in the place and some seating. There is 3 upper lever like areas where you can watch the people dance and still be close to the bar. They don't always play country so if your looking for a country bar try it out a few times. This place allows smoking inside and i would say about 50% of the people there were smoking or it seemed like it because of the lack of ventilation that they should have. So if you can't do smoke avoid this place. Also they dont seem to be big on drink specials. The couple times I have been there they have never had any specials.
google avatar

Linsy C.

Yelp
Fun place to go. If you like country music and line dancing, this is the place for you.
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Great place. Saw a concert there last night. The sound has a good boom to the bass & the lighting was good. Nice strong drinks from the bar & young pretty gals serving them up!! Big dance floor & beer plus drinks being sold around the place so no long wait to get a drink. Next show from a band that I like going there.......count me in!!
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
Do NOT go here for a good time. If you want to have fun with your friends take your money elsewhere. This place is joke. Won't go back, wouldn't even spend my last penny here. If I could give it zero stars I would.
google avatar

Jenn C.

Yelp
The country go to place in cape coral, line dancing great drink specials great DJ and attentive staff and bouncers to keep out trouable. So you can relax dance, drink and have fun with friends.

Cici V.

Yelp
People that work here are incredibly rude! They all need classes on how to treat people instead of line-dancing!
google avatar

Kay C.

Yelp
A popular venue with western decor, very smoky and difficult to get drinks. Its always packed and gets worse throughout the night. The music is country till later at night when it switches and is a mix or popular music too. Through out the night they teach the entire bar how to do a line dance with instructors to help you get on the right foot. There is a separate club to the side past the mens bathroom that plays hip hop and is 2 story. The drinks are reasonably priced and there always a $5 cover. Every night there is a birthday party, bachelorette party or any other type of get together, they all come to Dixie. Its always a fun time and good night here.

Darrell B.

Yelp
Very expensive drinks plus a cover. Nightly specials very misleading always a catch. Should have a $$$ price rating
