Everything was excellent with just one exception…the rice. The rice was bland and a little on the dry side. The salad was fresh and very good. The lamb? Wow! Just as the advertised, it was tender, flavorful and fell off of the bone! That alone made up for the rice. I do recommend checking this place out!

Google
An absolutely wonderful experience. The food was fantastic, delicious and fresh. The atmosphere is traditional Yemen style, they give you an option to sit on the ground to complete your experience. Nonetheless customer service from Hayat was perfection. Thank you all for such a great experience. We recommend this place to everyone!

This place is really a hidden gem. We got together here for a work dinner. It was just four of us, and we totally enjoyed our experience. I especially enjoyed there on the house, lentil soup, and the herbal infused tea. Both of them were outstanding. We obviously ended up getting a lot of food. However, we enjoyed every bit of it from the dips to the breads to the hummus, and especially their rice and falafel. We had a vegetarian in a group, and she absolutely enjoyed her too. And really. You couldn’t go wrong with anything you ordered on the menu our young server was also really kind and attentive, and really made our experience and dinner outstanding.

We discovered this place on a whim and I’m so glad we did! The food is outstanding, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the interior is so cute. We ordered the dinner for two and the portions are enormous. They have a self serve station for some soups and tea that is also very tasty, and, our food came out so fast we barely had time for the appetizer. The meat was so tender that it was actually difficult putting it on our plates because it was falling off the bone. We finished dinner with a cup of some cozy spiced tea. Overall, incredibly delicious and we will definitely be back soon!

Google
First time having Yemeni food and it did not disappoint! Thoughtful sized servings, incredible flavors, and a beautiful restaurant where you can choose to sit at a table or on the floor for the cultural experience. Don’t think I’ve ever left chicken bones so clean! Please consider coming, I promise you’ll want to return!

Google
The food is so fresh and authentic. The meat was literally fall-off-the-bone. The lamb soup was free and althought it didn't have meat pieces, it tasted of rich broth and spices. I advise getting the family platters as it comes w everything and has a huge portion. We got the dinner for 2 with 4 ppl and even had leftovers. The flatbread was fresh and tasty, and the honeycomb dessert tasted so rich with delicious honey! Service was amazing-- all the juices and smoothies we ordered were freshly made. We will definitely be back.

Google

What an amazing experience! Everything was delicious. Our server Ana was so kind, generous, and eager to serve. She even gave us a free dessert.

Yelp
Excellent food in a humble no-frills restaurant. We have gone back twice and it's the same experience - really flavorful food, solid portions. They have complimentary soups available - really delicious lentil and some sort of meat broth soup. They sing deep to the soul and get you ready for the meal. The family platter was really big, the meat was also incredibly seasoned and very tender. It comes with sauces (not pictured) that go really well with the rice (think like a salsa/chutney), very fresh tasting. The salad was a little wilted but everything else made up for it. The fahsah was interesting, spicy and tangy, and the bread that came with it sopped it up. Seating and service aren't anything too fancy - it's limited staff and the restaurant itself has a humble interior. The floor seating is cute though not too fancy, be prepared to take your shoes off if you choose to sit there.

Yelp
This food is flavorful!!!!! It reminds me of several Indian type flavors but also unique in its own way. The server told us that we could have a bowl of soup. There were two kinds. I had the lentil. It was my least favorite part of the meal as it tasted bitter and really salty. The sauces she brought out were freshly made and had some zing! I loved the green salsa one more than the tomato based one. I had a chicken shawarma with extra pickles. It was delicious and stuffed with meat and toppings. See my picture! It was cooked perfectly. I would order this again for sure. We also split a chicken rice dish that was seasoned with curry type flavors. Get an order of the white garlic sauce to dip everything in because that was fantastic. Yummmmm!!! Several people were ordering the platters which looked amazing. The prices were reasonable. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Friendly service and reasonable prices, but no where near actual Yemeni food. We ordered the chicken Mandi and lamb haneth. Both came with mandi rice, and that's usually the highlight of most yemeni dishes as it is usually cooked under the meat and absorbs all the dripping oil and fire smell in it, but in this case it was just stale basmati rice cooked in a pot. The chicken was also dry. On the positive side, The lamb was falling off the bone and really good, the sauces were both good, and I appreciate the free soups and tea! Try it out, maybe it was an odd day with the rice, but the lamb is definitely worth it.

Yelp
My first time trying Yemeni food and I wasn't disappointed! The portions were very generous and the chicken was fall off the bone tender! The spices and flavors were aromatic and subtle yet balanced. The meal felt healthy and wholesome. The sauces were great! One was very spicy (which I loved). Will definitely be coming back for more! Takeout service was great too!

Yelp
A revelation. I've never had Yemeni food until last Saturday. I was looking at a Lincoln at Pugmire Lincoln and worked up a mighty hunger. Diyar Al Yemen was right next door and it smelled good! So I went in. The service was so friendly and fast. She quickly took our order and let us know there was free soup available (first come, first served). We ordered the Mushakal and the Chicken Kabsa, The Mushakal stew was delicious! It was so flavorful and chocked full of veggies (potatoes, carrots, okra, etc.). The Chicken Kabsa was a deliciously flavorful rice dish that paired great with the stew and made for great take-home leftovers.

Yelp
This new HALAL restaurant is a must-try. We have been waiting some time for them to open and they didn't disappoint. We tried a variety of foods including lentil soup, chicken shawarma, fahsah, and the half chicken mandi, as well as the cola and adeni tea. The lentil soup and fahsah were the fan favorites among the family. The shredded lamb in the fahsah was very tender and had a great flavor. The chicken shawarma did not stand out as much as we had hoped, but still had good taste to it. It would be the perfect quick bite to take back to the office. The adeni tea offered us a fragrant, spiced finish to the meal. The staff are all very friendly and keep the restaurant nice and clean. The variety of seating styles makes the experience unique. We are looking forward to our next visit. Food- 5/5 Service- 5/5 Ambiance- 5/5

Yelp
We tried this place for the second time! Great authentic Yemeni food! We tried the chicken mendi and lamb galabah. Portions are large. Very filling. Family friendly atmosphere. It isn't loud. Service is good. We will definitely return.

Yelp
We tried this newly opened Yemeni restaurant with a big group--party of 30 or more--and it was absolutely fantastic! Every single one of us loved it. The food, the atmosphere, and most of all, the heart behind this place make it a must-visit. Yes, they're still getting into their groove, but honestly, for a new restaurant, they're doing an incredible job. If you're looking for a polished, fine-dining experience, this may not be your spot--**yet**. But if you want authentic, soulful Yemeni food and genuinely warm hospitality, you've found the right place. The dishes were full of flavor and came out fresh. Some items took a bit longer, but it was well worth the wait and the experience was so memorable that I'd go back again and again. A huge shoutout to Mo, the owner and chef. His story is inspiring--starting work at 13, learning the ropes, and now running his own place with a passion you can taste in every bite. He's kind, hardworking, and committed to great customer service. He even made sure our massive group was taken care of personally. Yes, there were a few small bumps--some minor confusion--but honestly, that didn't matter at all. The staff is doing their best, and the level of care we received far outweighed any hiccups. This place is more than a restaurant--it's a labor of love. Support them, enjoy the incredible food, and don't be surprised if you find yourself becoming a regular. I know I will. We tried pretty much everything and loved it all. Lamb Haneeth Lamb kabsa All the shawarmas Fahsah (make sure you eat this with bread) Falafel Hummus (best hummus I've eaten in a restaurant) Lamb soup Mandi You name it we tried it! And it was all fantastic! Thank you mo for giving us an opportunity to try amazing authentic Yemeni food! The first of its kind in Atlanta and absolutely amazing! Let me also reiterate that in this large group of people the age ranged from a toddler to elderly up to 80s year old. There was someone present from each decade of age group and not one person had a complaint nor frustration. We all left content, satisfied, full, and happy. Oh and we went on Mother's Day. So you can only imagine how busy they were, yet our experience and food was on point!

Rashida M.

Yelp
The service and the food were amazing. I dropped a star because I'm used to my chicken shawarma having pickles in them. The description said pickles would be in it but mine did not have pickles. There were cucumbers, but I was hoping for a dill pickle flavor. Pro tip: mix the garlic sauce with the verde hot sauce to dip the falafel and the red sauce over the chicken.

Yelp
I have enjoyed going there ever since this place opened. The manner the waitress addressed me today will be my last visit.

Yelp
The food is amazing. So flavorful and authentic. I truly enjoy it. The customer service is also wonderful! I love the ambiance because they have these little booths you can sit in on the floor and it actually gives you a little privacy! It's just a great spot!

Yelp
I had never had Yemeni food, but I can't wait to have it again! I ordered the Fahsah and bread with a mango smoothie, and the food came out in a stone bowl bubbling hot. It had such a rich mixture of spices and flavors, and boy do I love it dip bread into hot stews. The service was attentive and really liked the look and feel of the place with its more authentic floor seated areas. Will absolutely be back!

Yelp
Tried this place on a busy Saturday night. Food was good, portion was large, and price was reasonable. 4/5 stars Service was very disappointing. Took forever to get our order taken. When food came, it didn't come with any silverware or dishes. Requests for these were ignored and we were left staring at the food. 2/5 stars This restaurant just opened so hopefully they iron out the service issues.

Tina D.

Yelp
This restaurant is newly opened. We came on a Saturday and waited to be seated. Initially we were excited - the aromas were enticing and the restaurant seemed full. We were seated in the traditional seating where the floor was not clean. Ultimately we were moved to a wobbly table. We had to find someone to take our order. The dinner for 2 includes soup (which was out), chicken (which was out and supposed to be substituted for lamb in a bowl that did not come) and a veggie side dish. Flavors were great on the Saltah. We asked for bread twice and it did not come. We also had to get up find someone to get plates and cutlery. The Lamb rice dish is their signature dish but the rice was NOT COOKED all the way through. It was al dente which is not how rice is eaten. There were absolutely no explanations or apologies for the poor service, and certainly no discounts to make up for the missing food. This place has a ways to go before it should be open for dining.

Yelp
Food was decent but not amazing. Also wasn't very hot when it came out. The rice was room temp, and the stew Fahsa was very watery. The service was really bad but I think the place is worth trying. Just be patient with the servers as they forget everything and didn't even offer us drinks. The salads could have been very good, they just needed more salt!

Jonathan P.

Yelp
This was fantastic! From the complimentary soup and chai tea, to the lamb Fahsah and Chicken Mandi, everything was so full of flavor and deliciously presented. So good!

Melly M.

Yelp
I'm vegan so I had the falafel sandwich and the lentil soup. It was really good! I've recommended to a few of my co-workers and they said they really enjoyed the food too! I'm so glad to have a good Mediterranean food restaurant in the area. No doubt, 5 Stars!

Yelp
Amazing Yemeni food -- hands down the best in Georgia! Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The lamb was so tender it fell right off the bone, and the rice was perfectly seasoned. You can really tell they put care into their cooking.

Yelp
The food here is so good! This is my third time coming here but THIS TIME, the hummus was AMAZING! It was so smooth and creamy. I will be coming back for more!!

Hussein A.

Yelp
Great resturant with great authentic food . They have free soup and authentic tea. The setting area can be on mattresses or on chairs

Alexander S.

Yelp
Great place! I actually lived in Yemen when I was a child for one year (in Sanaa), and this place is on point. I have not had shawarma that good since I lived there. I highly recommend this restaurant. Beautiful interior and kind service too!

Emily T.

Yelp
Loved it!!!! Best shawarma I've ever had! Nice place. We got togo food, but can't wait to bring our family to eat in the restaurant.

Samar S.

Yelp
First time experience and was excited to try out this restaurant for the first time. The restaurant is small and has limited seating. Even the booth was tight and not comfortable. The A/C was not turned on either and the place became very warm and uncomfortable. When the food arrived the soups were either spicy or salty and the haneeth rice was cold & undercooked. The lamb meat was not tender as it should be and was not much for the plate. All in all I would not recommend this restaurant as it does not do justice for authenticity & Yemeni cuisine.
