I think this replaced a popular boba chain, and I'll start off with the positives. The interior is gorgeous, and I love what they did with the space. It gives the feel of a LA coffee or boba shop. The menu is really good, and I had a hard time deciding whether or not I wanted matcha or coffee. They also make the matcha drinks by hand (I saw them hand mixing in matcha bowls), so you can trust that you're not getting a premade matcha drink.
The negatives. It took forever for them to make my drink... and they didn't even make my second drink before I left. The service was awful and like someone else said, they really need to work on their timing. When I ordered my two drinks, there were nearly 6 other parties waiting for their drinks and I could tell they'd made themselves comfortable and had been waiting for quite a while. Because I was in a rush, I asked where my drinks were and they skipped the line to make ONE of my two drinks before they returned back to making other drinks. Another reviewer said it perfectly - "they don't have an order of how to make the drinks; they skip people over due to the pressure of people asking where their drinks are, and it just confuses the drink order process".
I totally get that they're in their soft opening era, but the drinks themselves aren't worth the long wait either. I only got one of the drinks I ordered before I had to leave, and it was the Vietnamese latte. There was barely any flavor, and the condensed milk didn't make the drink any sweeter.
