DJ’s Clam Shack expands from Key West to the Las Vegas Strip | Eater Vegas

"Hoping its East Coast reputation will be enough to keep it afloat, DJ’s Clam Shack from Key West, Florida—bolstered by an appearance on Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives—has signage up and a vintage hot rod displayed out front as it prepares to open soon next to Fatburger across Las Vegas Boulevard from the Park MGM. First launched in 2009, the Las Vegas expansion is expected to be open daily for lunch and dinner and will feature seafood-focused items including a $7 New England clam chowder, an $18 Maine lobster roll, a $29 basket of Ipswich fried clams with fries, a $14 plate of garlic steamed middleneck clams, tacos, fish fingers, and a Key West favorite, the $11 conch fitters served with fries or coleslaw." - Bradley Martin

The staff here is super friendly and the service is excellent—definitely makes you feel welcome. The lobster roll was tasty, but I felt like it could’ve used a bit more meat compared to other spots I’ve tried. The clam chowder was solid and comforting. Overall, it’s a good experience, but for me it didn’t quite stand out among the many great seafood options in Key West.

Best lobster roll I’ve ever had. I equally love the hot and the cold one. They are served cold, so if you want a warm one with butter, you just have to ask. I am a local here and I try to go here often. It’s totally worth the money. The portions are wonderful and their coleslaw is some of the best I’ve ever had. It has a sweet and tangy flavor. I will be a forever customer here. Love it here!!!!

This restaurant was a great find. My family ordered two lobster rolls and the fried seashells with fries. The food only took about 5-10 minutes to come out, and the decorations were fun and colorful. Cashier was friendly and customers were too. The lobster rolls were soft and delicious, while the seashells were warm and filling. The fries were crispy, and we enjoyed the food. Definitely recommend coming here, as the food is delicious.

ADD THIS TO YOUR KEY WEST ITINERARY. Honestly one of the best spots in Key West for seafood. The lobster roll, clams and chicken tacos are a must-try—super fresh, full of flavor, and served in generous portions. The vibe here is casual and fun, exactly what you’d want in the Keys. It feels local, welcoming, and worth every penny. If you’re in Key West, don’t miss this place.

Had to try the Conch Fritters! DJ's Clam Shack could be defined as a hole-in-the-wall place to eat. It is small and unpretentious. My wife heard about the conch fritters from a friend, so she ordered that. It was probably the best conch that I have had, largely because the fritter itself was tasty. I had the fried shrimp with French fries. The shrimp were large and perfectly cooked. Some of the best I have had. The fries were great as well.

Yummy and fast, friendly service. I had the mahi tacos while my husband had the shrimp poor boy. The 2 tacos were huge and came with spectacular fries. The shrimp looked impressive. Hubby didn’t want to share this time, and he always does, so you know it was good. Don’t panic if you don’t see any seating up front. Walk around to the back for more.

Guy didn't steer me wrong. I've eaten a lot of clam chowder in my life and this was by far the best. The warm lobster rolls were also stellar and by a long stretch one of the finest. The people working were so nice and incredibly chill. Is a great stop for one of best lunches you'll ever have.

We came here for a quick lunch during our Key West trip. Atmosphere: DJ’s Clam Shack is literally a little shack on Duval street. You walk right up to the window to have your order taken. They have covered seating the front and back of the shack. Restrooms: They had one single use bathroom. I didn’t use it, but I noticed they had one. Service: The person at the counter was very friendly. The servers were nice too. All the dining spots were kept nice and clean. Food: The food is made fresh to order. I got the ‘Clam Chowder’ which was delicious. It came with two packs of crackers which added a lovely crunch. I happened to find a large bay leaf in my serving, thankfully I didn’t eat it. My husband had their ‘Shrimp Po’ Boy’ and LOVED IT. He wanted to try their lobster roll but we both agreed the price was kind of steep, so he tried the shrimp instead. The sandwich was made fresh. He said the shrimp had the perfect seasonings and wasn’t heavy. He loved the pickled red onions, might be his new obsession. All in all we loved the food! We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Key West. This is a great place to grab some local, fresh food. If you’re a lover of Food Network and Guy Fieri, this is a spot he visited which is cool to experience! @living.with.reg
