I went there for nem chua 4 year ago. Today I came back, nem chua not the same. Color is too dark, taste is not the same. In bag with 10 nem chua, smaller, and not easy to open, nem stick on plastic (I think is not ready to eat yet, we have went to toliet 4 time). Look very dirty Never come back again Dont go there, I think they change the owner.

The first time I bought this type of pork skin roll call “ Chả Bì “ , after I soaked it in hot water, the skin automatically separated and it looked disgusting when it was not processed properly.

Google
Just your typical Vietnamese shop selling a variety of Vietnamese foods. I really enjoy their nem chua (fermented pork) as it tasted fresh and juicy. Their chả lụa is also quite good.

Google
Not so friendly service. Besides Cash only. I forgot to call first to find out. I drove an hour to just bought few items because not enough cash or ATM in store ( I planned to buy a lot to make my trip worth ) It'd be very helpful for new customers, especially when customers who are not local if the store owner put in their Google website, CASH ONLY...

If you are an avid lover of Cha Lua, this location has it all. They make their cha lua fresh every day and piping hot. It's a small shop that only takes cash and is family owned. Everything is reasonably priced and the girls behind the counter are very friendly.

Google
I just purchased Banh bao from here and specifically asked them if there were peas in the mixture. The guy behind the counter said they don’t put peas in it. Sadly, that was not true. Wasted $11 for 4. Won’t be back and buyer beware.

Yelp
Wow so many options that are pork free. Always stop here every time traveling through Dallas to Austin.

Yelp
This place has some BOMB cha lua. For you non-Viet folks, that's vietnamese pork - kind of like our version of ham. Put it in banh mi (bread). Eat it with banh cuon (rice rolls). Roll it into your spring rolls. Eat it with rice or vermicelli. Put it in your noodle soups! Heck, you can even eat it alone - it's that good. This stuff is awesome. This place has good quality cha lua and is cheaper than it's competitor across the street. The fam always stocks up on them and we store them in the freezer. It's located deep within the Hiep Thai plaza (if you're facing directly at Hiep Thai from the outside - it's located on the right). Every time relatives from out of town visit they're like "yo, can we go to Duc Huong? We gotta stock up on some cha lua."

Yelp
TOP TIER GIO CHA. everything here is yummy. every time I make the trip from NOLA, people give me money to bring like 50 rolls back home, as it can be frozen + defrosted and still be delicious. service is fast. i love the regular gio, gio hue, and nem chua! CASH ONLY.

Yelp
It's solid service nice will come here again cause there's no other place to by Cha Gio but yeah pretty good for texas
google avatar

Justine T.

Yelp
Nem chua here is as good as Cali. And my family likes the cha lua here best compared to all the other places they've purchased from (Austin, Houston). Cha lua is still hot when purchased! There are other goodies as well. Remember to bring cash!

Yelp
Good business to get your Vietnamese meats and goods. It's a small shop, but it's packed and ready to serve your large orders. You know they're good when your relatives from Austin somehow knows the place and asks you to bring back bags of their stuff. Most of this stuff can easily be stored in the freezer, so you don't have to worry about buying too much. They are cash-only, so make sure you have enough! Otherwise, your closest major banks are within a 10-minute proximity. There's always parking and they're conveniently next by the grocery store, but gosh... you'll have to dodge plenty of potholes to get here haha. The service is quick and pleasant. I have no complaints about the food or service and can't name a place that can replace this business.

Yelp
Best cha ever! That's all I can say! I'm not from Texas so every time I come down from OKC, I must stop and get some.

Yelp
They have the best Ch ever, every time I come to Dallas just have to pack my luggage full with it, back to Vegas

Yelp
Great place for gio lua and many other type of cha. I would definitely come back when I visit Dallas.

Sannie D.

Yelp
Their cha lua was a 3 stars, but the customer service definitely a 1 star. The guy work there was rude. I don't know if he is related to the owner, but he shouldn't be in the front with his kind of attitude.

Yelp
They have the best nem and cha. I go back here everything I visit DFW and stock up to put in my freezer in Memphis. I really wish there was a place like this in Memphis, Tennessee.

Tina P.

Yelp
Their giò la & giò hu used to be good but not anymore. For the past several months at least, they had been changing their recipe by adding more flour & hàng the. That makes their giò doesn't smell & taste good anymore plus too "crunchy" hard (specially giò hu) due to too much hàng the. They'll make more money doing this way but you know, they rather charge more money if they feel like they needed to make more profit than doing the cheap way to lower the quality of their food. They think people don't know. WRONG. I just hope they'll make their giò back the way it used to be.

Kevin T.

Yelp
Thanks for the suggestion cashier guy. Didnt know what to get for my parents so he gave me some recommendations. Cha lua was so good. Will definitely come back for more.

Vannipoo N.

Yelp
One of the best cha places in DFW area. Nem chua and cha lua is we what I usually go for. Never disappointed. Just bring cash. Cash only..

Yelp
I was in town on business and wanted to try something different. Thanks to Yelpers, I found this place, and had an idea of what to order. I believe I had cha lua, or gio lua? I read from my phone and asked the women behind the counter, and they pointed me in the direction of what they are known for, and briefly explained how to eat it. They were very nice, and suggested a place or two across the parking lot to buy fresh bread to make a sandwich, and even opened the rolled-up banana leaf package in which the meat was steamed to cut a few slices off the [pork loaf?] to make it easier to manage on the go. I also got a tasty dessert yogurt out of the cooler - It has a different flavor which I really liked. I wondered if my sandwich would normally have something else on it like vegetables or condiments? but it was delicious as it was, and I took it with me to enjoy at the Dallas Botanical Garden. My husband enjoyed the leftovers. Will visit again if in the area.

Yelp
I have been going their for a while now. I like their nem and cha hue, but recently their nem has been smaller than before and also they use to do buy 10 get one free. They say they discontinued that now. Still good though, but no longer stock up because no more buy 10 get one free :-(

Miinh T.

Yelp
The best nem chua I have ever had in US. My favorite also are cha chien, gio lua, gio thu, you cannot find same flavor anywhere else!

Lana L.

Yelp
Open early at 8 in the morning they got yummy banh gio. My kids love it here they don't have eggs in them like most places does but the pork stuffing is very well marinate fresh and very yummy.

Yelp
This place has the best Cha Lua in town. There's one store across the street from Boiling Crabs a and I heard from my mom that it isn't that good. This place makes fresh cha and other things too. The only bad thing about this place is CASH ONLY.

Yelp
This place makes very good pork rolls (as well as other vietnamese rolls that I don't know how to translate into English)! They make everything daily, and if you buy in the early afternoon, it will still be piping hot! My fiance's family is from MN and he brought some pork rolls home for them to try once, and ever since then, they ask us to bring back a dozen each time. This is not a sit down and eat place. People just go in here and buy their pork rolls wrapped in banana leaf (I think?) and take it home. I usually buy a few and store it in the freezer for a couple of months. It's good with Vietnamese steam rice rolls (banh cuon), Vietnamese crab noodle soup (bun rieu), or just with the french breads. YUM :) The only downfall to this place is they only accept cash. I hate cash, but for this place, I guess I'll withdraw $20.

Yelp
The food here is good but the girl behind the counter was completely rude. She didn't want to talk, and walked away when I asked her about an item that they were out. These folks need to improve their customer service but it's unlikely that would happen, as with many popular Vietnamese places. I ended up having to thank her for buying the food. My impression as I walked out was what an ugly, mean b.... We have a saying in Vietnamese that one's personality will trump the external beauty. Maybe??? the front counter girl will wise up one day to understand the old saying.

Yelp
You can find all kind of pork, beef or chicken rolls here. Fresh and hot gio cha (vietnamese pork rolls or ham). Love the Cha Hue or Gio Bi. What surprised me was banh chung ( a special Vietnamese rice cake with mung bean and pork inside only cooked for Lunar New Year holiday). Super cheap and fresh. Cash only.

Yelp
Really good cha lua! When I'm in Dallas, I always make sure to buy some Togo since I can never find good Cha lua in Mobile, AL.
