I recently visited this restaurant and had a rather enjoyable experience. The ambiance is pleasant and the location is perfect. We arrived without a reservation but were seated after just a few minutes of waiting. The broth was incredible, we tried both the mala spicy broth and the mushroom broth, and they were some of the best I've had in Boston. The flavors were rich and delicious. I tipped our server 25%, which seemed to surprise him. The reason for the generous tip was to remind the staff that no matter the situation, it's important to always do your best. Even when it feels like customers might not tip you as you deserve, never stop delivering excellent service. While the place is nice, there's room for improvement in their service system. Better communication with customers could lead to higher tips. As a bartender myself, I offer this advice with the hope that the team will read these comments and strive to improve. As a vegetarian, I love this place ♥️ Their Fungus and Tom Yum broth are amazing and extremely flavorful. The Mala Soup base is great for non vegetarians and unless you can handle a lot of spice stick to the regular spicy levels. I also tried the green peppercorn flavor and it’s EXTREMELY SPICY x1000. 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ It becomes too spicy to handle after sometime and may ruin your experience. They have a large selection of varieties for tofu and veggies for vegetarians. I particularly like the assorted mushrooms and bean curd rolls. For meat lovers, its a heaven. 🤩 The service and staff is extremely helpful and polite. I highly recommend this place ♥️♥️

We tried the new buffet yesterday and found it is better than others at a similar price! Fresh food! Fast service! We love it! Also we went around 5:30pm with no wait, and the line started to show around 6pm so get here early if you want to skip the line. We will be back.

They Mala broth is a killer! It’s so good, so spicy, so balance. Their pork slide is also very good, I would say one of the best cut around the area. Overall experience is excellent, customer service is also excellent. Will definitely be back for the Mala hot pot.

We loved our time here. Very nice and friendly staff, beautiful ambiance and music that makes us believe we were in korea, ask for the sauce bar that is the best part of this experience. I can't wait to go again.

Highly recommended this new hot pot restaurant! The food is great. We picked 3 base-soups and all of them were awesome. We had a wonderful time there. It’s definitely crowded so prepare to wait in line. What I really like was the service. They provided little aprons for you to avoid the food drop on your shirts; and all hot pot came with a vacuum around the pot that sucks out all the smells so that you won’t smell like hot pot for the rest of the day. All waiters were super friendly and nice. It was really a great experience. Will definitely come again. Thank you so much!

Please avoid this place if you are looking for decent professional service. First, they add items to the bill you have not ordered. Later, they come and harass you for more tips. First we paid around 12% of our total as tips, as that's what we thought to be a justified amount for the service received. One of the staff members comes and asks us why did we pay 12% and if there is anything wrong with the service. So we selected the 15% option in the credit card machine. Then the lady tells us it is the STANDARD to pay at least 18% as we had occupied the table for 3 hours. I would like to know the source of this rule! Also, we were a party of 3. The restaurant was pretty empty with lots of open tables. Lastly, the food is not something exceptional to compensate for the pathetic service. This was my first time and this will be my last as well!
