This is the second time we came here! First time tried the all-you-can-eat in afternoon happy hour, this time came at night and did a-la-carte, very satisfied both times! The meat is fresh, vegetable portion is good, and the waitress was so friendly, gave us a free desert with ice cream since it was my wife's birthday. Would definitely come back again 🔥 (Btw the free pickled woodear mushroom was delicious too)

We had a fantastic dinner experience at this restaurant. The hot pot was absolutely delicious, and every ingredient was fresh and flavorful. Even more impressive, I accidentally left my purse behind, and the staff went above and beyond to help me retrieve it quickly. Their honesty and kindness really stood out. Plus, they have this great 20% discount after 10 PM, which was such a nice bonus. Overall, highly recommend this place not just for the food but for the amazing service!

It's very spacious and can accommodate large groups of people. Our group of over 20 people visited this place. The ordering system seemed organized, but I found it a bit complicated. We ordered a variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables. We made our own sauces, and while I tried a couple of different flavors, I wasn’t completely satisfied with my choices. The sauces are a crucial part of hot pot, but I would rate them as average. The restaurant was quite warm; it seemed like they hadn't turned on the air conditioning. It improved later when I felt some cool air coming from above. Overall, I wasn't completely satisfied with the dining experience.

I recently visited this restaurant and had a rather enjoyable experience. The ambiance is pleasant and the location is perfect. We arrived without a reservation but were seated after just a few minutes of waiting. The broth was incredible, we tried both the mala spicy broth and the mushroom broth, and they were some of the best I've had in Boston. The flavors were rich and delicious. I tipped our server 25%, which seemed to surprise him. The reason for the generous tip was to remind the staff that no matter the situation, it's important to always do your best. Even when it feels like customers might not tip you as you deserve, never stop delivering excellent service. While the place is nice, there's room for improvement in their service system. Better communication with customers could lead to higher tips. As a bartender myself, I offer this advice with the hope that the team will read these comments and strive to improve. yo this stuff is bomb. it is affordable and the customer service is amazing. they have a sauce station where you can make your own sauce. not to mention the menu is massive like the low taper fade. not gaslight. go for yourself. this is kid friendly with affordable pricing. they have a chart where you can measure yourself and if your a certain height the meal is free!!!

Hidden Gem! Amazing Experience at DLY Hotpot Our family with young children recently visited DLY Hotpot and it turned out to be a hidden gem that far exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is incredibly spacious with a design interior that feels very authentic. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. We were greeted by Ping, who was exceptionally nice and caring, especially attentive to our kids. Our food order was taken quickly and delivered with impressive efficiency. The quality of the food is great. The meat is very high quality, and they offer many unique items that you don't typically find in other hotpot places. The shrimp was fresh and delicious, and our kids were thrilled with the variety of options. The selection of vegetables and seafood is extensive, and the broth was absolutely delicious. One of the highlights was the dessert - they offer ice cream and some very special desserts that were a hit with the whole family. Overall, DLY Hotpot provided an exceptional dining experience, and we will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommended!

It's a really good Hot Pot restaurant. The soup in particular is some of the best in the area. Mala Beef Tallow is pretty spice and you can choice the spice level: 10% to 150%. I was at my limits at 50%. The mushroom broth is some of the best mushroom broth we had in Massachusetts and it is very mushroom forward. There is abalone in the all you can eat option. My recommendation is that you really don't have to pay for a la cart that cost additional and save room for dessert. The restaurant is fancy looking and the staff is attentive.

I really liked the interior of the entire restaurant as it's very historically Chinese oriented. They had like clothing hampers next to each table, but we weren't sure what they were for. Perhaps it's for putting your jacket in so that it doesn't smell like hotpot? All you can eat was about $45 per person outside of lunch hours, which to me is pretty expensive. Both broths were really good. The Mala one we got was mild, but boy was it spicy. Spicier than the Lamei medium spicy broth. I loved the texture of the potato noodle when it was done cooking. Soft and chewy, but also melts in your mouth. I tried making mala sauce the way they recommended and it tasted pretty good. Very sesame flavored. We both got the watermelon smoothie and it was sooooooo good. Refreshing just like eating a slice of watermelon but a tad bit sweeter. They had ice cream bars too, but we were too full to eat it. Overall really good!

Service was super fast! We did AYCE and the food came out quickly and fresh. Everything was clean and delicious -- the tom yum broth was especially flavorful. Staff were friendly and attentive. I also loved the little extras like the self-serve pickled radish and peanuts, plus free ice cream at the end!"

Great spot for hot pot! I went with a big group of friends, and we had an awesome time. They offer several options on their "all-you-can-eat" menu, and we chose two different broths to share. The service was excellent--right at the start, they provided us with bibs to protect our clothes, which was a thoughtful touch. We enjoyed a wide variety of meats and seafood, all fresh and delicious. For dessert, we tried two options: the sugar rice cake, which we loved, and the jelly ice cream, which was good but a bit unusual. It might just be an acquired taste! Overall, I highly recommend this place for a fun and satisfying hot pot experience.

My favorite place for hot pot! Delicious broth (herbal is so good!) and great selection of meat, vegetables, tofu and noodles. Long chopsticks are really fun and useful for swirling meat in the communal pot. Service is friendly and attentive. Don't love that they charge extra for sauce bar, but Melona ice pops included makes up for it. Late night hours and discount for late night dining (after 10 pm) a big plus! Drinks are also excellent (ordered strawberry smoothie - wonderful fruity flavor and perfectly sweetened without being too sweet).

They've been around for two years but finally got a chance to give it a try. It's located in Brighton. Those that know, they took over the old Le's pho restaurant. It's been heavily renovated but unfortunately, parking is still as challenging as ever with all the restaurants that have popped up over the years. The manager Ken and his team is awesome. They are super alert. With all you can eat, the team was super helpful at keeping the table manageable and back to back orders to the kitchen. I went on a long weekend, so there wasn't much a crowd. But normally, the place is packed and they don't take reservations. So go early and get on the wait list. You can sign in digitally on the wait list and they'll text you when you're about to get close. Once seated, you'll pass by all the fancy decor. The location has been heavily renovated. From the tables, railings, ceilings, and bathroom are all updated & clean. Then finally, the food quality is above par then the typical all you can eat places. The meats are of good quality. The sliced ribeye has a good marble to them. The shrimp is fresh and abalone, oh my! The sauce station is fantastic. Lots of variety and lots of combinations. So there's a flavor for everyone. If you didn't get the flavor just right? Go make another sauce dish. While you're there, pick up some pre game appetizers to get your appetite going. Pickled radish, cherry tomatoes, garlicky wood ear mushrooms and roasted peanuts. If you didn't get your fill of all you can eat beef, pork, chicken, lamb, mushrooms, and vegetables; there is dessert. We've got peanut allergies. As soon as the team was informed, they quickly swapped out our dessert and made them allergy friendly. If warm Asian desserts aren't your thing, there is creamsicle pops in the freezer. All this for the same typical cost at any nearby all you can eat hot pot. Great value for your money. I didn't catch our servers name but I hope he's my server the next time I go.

Service was good, they didn't rush us near closing since we showed up around 10:30p at night post gym workout! So we found out (probably should have called and found out) but AYCE ends at 9:30pm. So it's al la carte until close. The decor and style was very much like another spot in Quincy Ma. We sat down on a 4 topper, chose our broth and each type flavor increases the price. The meats were fine and as you would expect, the milk beef was interesting presentation but didn't change the flavor. The meat however is tender so i would recommend that particular protein. We also got the beef tray of mixed hot pot beef and lamb. You also do pay for sauce bar for dipping but that's optional. We didn't notice it, but i believe it's been on a summertime price menu? So it may change. Also didn't notice that there was a 20% off post 10pm but I'm not 100% sure if we got that discount but it's alright. The servers were quick and super chill, we appreciated it and tried to finish up and leave so they could close up.

Da Long Yi warmed us right up especially after we found them still open until 1AM and we were extra lucky to know they have 20% off deal after 10PM‼ The deals don't stop thereThe price difference between getting a single, two, or three broth pot was only a few bucks apart and so of course we got the three broth pot I couldn't handle their mala beef tallow broth, but I loved their sweet tomato broth, and their rejuvenating beef bone broth I recommend trying their white fillet fish and their knife cut noodles too! They were so tasty As you can tell, I was very excited about the napkins in the table and the bin beside the table to hold your jackets so they don't smell of hot pot! For $25 per person we ordered: Three broths: mala beef tallow, beef bone, tomato Beef Lover (comes with angus ribeye, short rib, beef tongue, beef cube, and beef plate rib) Knife cut noodles White Fish Fillet (tastes great in combo with mala broths according to my sister!) Assorted Veggies (comes with lotus root, wood ear mushroom, corn, tomato, carrot, watercress, and shimeji mushroom)

I wanted to try out a new hotpot place and came here on a weekday for dinner! I love their ayce menu! I couldn't believe that they had abalone in their ayce! The broths were also flavorful and not too salty. Their meat quality is also pretty good and fresh! We were definitely super full afterwards! They also have unlimited melona bars for dessert! They also have single pot servings if you don't want ayce or just want a quick meal by yourself! The servers are also nice and attentive! I'll definitely be coming back!

Got to be one of my new summer hotpot places. From July-August they have an AYCE deal going and it is definitely worth it. The meat quality is great, the seafood quality is amazing (peeled shrimp AND abalone) and to top it all off, unlimited melona ice cream bars. The service was friendly and the interior is small but very classy. Highly recommend calling for a reservation or going right when it opens as it does get very long.

I tried DLY (DaLongYi) Hotpot earlier this week because we heard there was a new AYCE hotpot place opened in Allston! DLY is one of the few hot pot spots in the Boston area that are open pretty late, until 1am daily. We came to try DLY around 10:30pm Monday. So apparently, AYCE stops around 9:30pm and any time after that, it is a la carte. AYCE price is normally $38.99, however, they're running a Summer Special price of $32.99/person (6/14/24-8/31/24). AYCE includes some of the items offered on their regular menu, sauce bar, broth, & dessert. For four people, ordering a la carte came up to about the same it would've been for AYCE. We ordered a couple of different meats, including the "milky beef", meat platter, fish balls, veggies, and more. The milky beef was a bit underwhelming because it was simply just beef with milk. The meat was already tender so it wasn't bad at all. I enjoyed the meat platter we got as it came with a variety of different cuts of beef. The salted yolk fish balls were unique and typically do not find them in other hotpot places. It was bland on its own but overall, not bad. The ice tofu here comes actually frozen. I was a bit confused when it first brought to our table but then realized it was the ice tofu. Never seen it like that before but it did taste like how it normally does. DLY seems to be an okay hotpot place. They're open pretty late so I can see this being a great spot to come if you're not feeling the other late night spots. Just note that this is not AYCE after 9:30pm if you are planning to come for AYCE.

I have been to DLY several times this past year and it is one of my favorite mala hotpot places. It is a newer spot and I like it's small, nicely decorated atmosphere. The first time I went I was shocked by how spicy the medium spice mala broth is (in a good way)! They do tell you it is spicy and it makes me sad to see people give lower reviews only because the broth was spicy because that's what szechuan/chongqing broth is! Theirs is especially spicy though even compared to medium at other places in Boston. I only get the spicy mala broth here. One thing I like is that after 10 they give 20% off discount! Prices are still comparable to other premium hotpot places but the late hours and discount sets it apart from other places. I love their knife cut noodles and it's only $1.99 per order. Other ingredients I have gotten are the beef plate and boneless short rib, bok choy, tofu skin, tofu puff, and enoki mushrooms. They also have other specialty dishes like milky beef, beef tripe, etc. Although it is not my favorite spot of all time in Boston, I think the late night hours and late night discount make it better than other places in some ways. The service here is quick and everyone is friendly and attentive to all your needs. Highly recommend this spot but definitely don't get the spicy broth if you don't like extremely numbing spice.

One of my favorite hot pot places! Both of the broths were wonderfully delicious. The rich flavors saturated into the meats and other items. It was a great price for an all-you-can-eat special! The buffet option included a variety of items, the vegetables and meats were fresh and yummy, and the seafood menu was unique! My favorite was the salted egg yolk shrimp ball (so so good!). Additionally, the brown sugar rice cakes were DELICIOUS. I also enjoyed the oolong jelly ice cream. Fast and reliable service with a cozy atmosphere.

The staff were so pleasant and kind, they always checked in with us. We made a reservation for four people on a weekday night, and it wasn't too busy. You walk in, and the place feels inviting. The pork, beef, and lamb slices were favorites. The brown sugar rice cake appetizer was also very interesting to try - I've never had that at all you can eat hot pot before. They also had a nice alcohol and non-alcoholic selection of drinks. There's lots of hot pot options in Boston, but I think this one is worth a try if you're in the area.

Discovered DLY with my best friend after trying to kill some time and instantly became our new favorite spot to have here in Boston! It isn't AYCE, but they will be having a summer deal that will be doing an AYCE menu. Everything is fairly priced, but obviously will add up the more you order. Veggies were fresh and the portions are huge. Meat was fresh as well, we have tried beef tongue at soo many places and DLY had the best - it was so soft & tender and not chewy at all. The best part for me was the broth. They have the perfect sichuan numbing spice at different levels. We got mild since my best friend can't handle spice that well and it was so flavorful. I, myself, can't wait to try their extra spicy. Service was pretty good. They have a QR code that you can scan to order more things to the table when they aren't able to come to you right away. I love the fact that they have little baskets by every table for your jackets so they don't smell. Very cute atmosphere.

One of the best hot pot experiences I have had in Massachusetts! My mother in law likes to try a new hot pot restaurant every year for her birthday and so we've tried many places. The restaurant is spacious and was able to accommodate our party of 7 on a Saturday night with no problems. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and very clean. There's a diy sauce bar and on the wall there's different sauce recipes to try with measurements. We did the AYCE option with two broths, I thought it was totally worth it. Food came out fast and the meats were of good quality. The beef bone broth was my favorite and I think their broth is superior to other hot pot spots. They provide extra long chopsticks, a basket to put jackets in and aprons to keep your clothes from getting dirty. I also highly recommend getting the oolong jelly ice cream, it was unique and delicious. The staff were very tentative and helpful. I would definitely come back!

I've been to the NYC location and was super excited to try out the Boston one. The service is quick and attentive and the food comes out promptly. Nothing super significant to note, just reliably good hotpot!

The decor was really nice, big tables so it was good for when you order a lot of food. The pots were a good size with decent selection of soup bases. All pretty standard Chinese hotpot options, some stuff you don't normally see are ox artery, liver, abalone. They also have melona ice cream which is always a plus in my book. The sweet brown sugar rice cakes in the dessert section was great too.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday and was blown away. I'm an avid hot pot fan and love to do the AYCE menus. I wanted to try this place as they have items I hadn't tried at other hot pot places such as Pork Liver and Braised Pig Feet. Me and my almost 2 year old had a great time. My daughter was saying "yummy yummy" as we went through our meal. The staff were so helpful and kind. We will definitely be returning. Thank you DLY for an awesome lunch experience.

This place was incredible. We got the beef broth and the Mala broth. We got beef, bok choy, mushrooms, and eggs and quail eggs. Then on the side we got dumplings. We also got udon. We also got the brown sugar rice sticks. Everything was absolutely fantastic and the server was great and the price was fair 100 out of 10. Definitely recommend. Sorry we can't take any pictures because we ate everything in sight

I was excited to try as I love the one in NY. But it's not the same. They both have very good service. The food here is less expensive but the food quality is not as good. The soup base, the food presentation and desserts are better in NY. I don't think it's my favorite hotpot place in Boston. But their all you can eat can be a good value.

I have been keen to try Da Long Yi since it opened a few months ago, and I finally stopped by with a friend recently. Even though we came around 7pm on a Saturday, there were a decent number of seats available (I'm never sure if this is a pro or con). Our servers were helpful in explaining how the menu worked (e.g. choosing the soup base, sauce bar, ordering, etc.) and we ended up picking the two-flavour pot, with beef broth and mala spicy beef tallow broth. I will just note that the spicy option was considerably spicier than I expected (I didn't realise until afterwards that we weren't asked for how spicy we wanted it haha), so if you are not comfortable with mala then definitely stick to a non-spicy choice to start. Anyway, I thought the broths were fragrant and of course the numbing mala sensation is always a treat, so definitely a plus for them. Most of the dishes we ordered were pretty good, too! Beef was great but honestly not the best I've had, but most of the veggies options were fresh and tasty. The lobster fish balls were a particular highlight - would definitely recommend them. Hot pot definitely scales up more for larger groups, but even for our party of two, it was definitely a bit more expensive than I expected. Overall, though, a pretty good meal and I hope to be back soon!

Lines can be long, but the food is very good. There are great drinks, balanced selection of veggies, meat, seafood and dessert.

The best hot pot I've ever had in Boston. The whole experience was great. Super welcoming staff right when we walked in and good service as we ate. They had baskets for your jackets and clothes so it doesn't smell from the hot pot. They even gave us aprons, real aprons so we don't splash our clothes. The price was definitely a little more expensive than most places but I think it was worth it for the quality of meat and size of dishes we got. Definitely will be going back whenever I'm in Boston!

Update review for summer! They have a new AYCE summer program, it's on sale for $32.99 from $38.99, the menu is very extensive! All food came out was high quality as the same as ordering a la carte! I think it's a great deal for summer. And they now have ICE CREAM, melona ice cream, strawberry, vanilla, chocolate,... also included in the AYCE menu. The service as always is really good. The manager keeps checking on us to make sure everything is good, if we need anything, and an impressive thing about their AYCE is they didnt miss any of our order. The staffs are nice, attentive as always as well! Highly recommend coming to try their summer special AYCE, I think quality-price wise, it's better than other AYCE program in the Boston-Greater Boston area, i.e., happy lamb, et cetera. And I order pork strip as always, but this time I remember to take a picture! So yeah, update, still highly recommend this place

I am expecting Da Long Yi for a long time. As a Chengdu hotpot fave, I have to compliment the spicy broth. I personally don't recommend any other broth since Da Long Yi itself is famous for its spicy broth. The spicy broth here is very greasy, oily but somehow very traditional. The greasy and oily taste is exactly how the orthodox Chengdu hotpot broth should be. If you order tomato broth/beef broth/mushroom broth and complain that the broth is bland or bad, you come to the wrong place. This is not your shabuzen hotpot. If you prefer non-spicy broth, go somewhere else. We ordered the highest spicy level broth with another extra spicy level. The only deficit is that the spicy broth is not spicy enough. I fairly know the reason and agree on this manipulation. After many years of US dietary, I myself also can't take orthodox Chengdu spiciness. As for the food, I recommend pork kidney and beef stomach. They come the best with the spicy broth. I hope they can keep their standard and add more dishes in the future.

This was my favorite hotpot place back when they had their summer AYCE deal of $32/person. I came here so often! Now it's back to their full price of $38.99 and unfortunately too pricey when Happy Lamb right across the street is $28 on weekdays. Please bring back the old pricing :') sincerely your biggest fan and a once very loyal customer

Probably the best hot pot in Boston. Food quality, cleanliness, broth, price everything is great. The service is great too! This is in Allston/Brighton so the only con is looking for parking, but otherwise great place for hot pot.

We had a amazing hotpot experience last night! All the foods we ordered fresh and clean, and the place was very clean and roomy as well. I Love their truffle tomato broth, which was above my expectation although it costs extra. The Prime short rib was extraordinary, it melted in my mouth, then we ended with a Ice cream Jelly dessert. I couldn't wait to bring my wife to try out next week.

Highly recommended this innovative restaurant. Don't forget to ask if you are not into spicy. They can accommodate the request. But if you are into spicy. Go ahead and ask for recommendations.

One of the best hotpot restaurants around Boston. Let's start with the broths, there are so many to choose from. One of the broths that we tried was the truffle tomato broth. Something that I've never tried or even heard of, but glad we ordered it since it was so good. The cold bar was great. The meats were fresh and tender. The foie gras was to die for. We also tried the meat balls, shrimp paste, and a lot of other things. Everything was good! Overall one of the best dining experience I've had in a long time. I didn't even remember to take pictures. The only thing I took a picture of was the broth since I was too busy eating!

There's like a thousand hot pot places and it's become weary trying them out only to end up in disappointment. I'm ecstatic that Da Long Yi turned out to be one of my favorite hot pot restaurants. You walk in with welcoming hosts and attentive staff. The food quality was superb and broth was rich with flavor! The best part is that I can try 3 broths at the same time instead of the traditional dual pots. I absolutely LOVE this place. Every time a friend wants to hot pot, we always end up here. It's a must try!

They def don't wash their baby bok choy. I ordered baby bok choy and put it in the hot pot without paying close attention. And when I was eating it, it has the sandy-stoney texture that you definitely won't taste from clean bok choy. So I looked at ones that I have yet to put in. Because it's not baby bok choy leaves, it's baby bok choy as a whole. There is soil in between leaves. The whole baby bok choy looks clean but unwashed, it's not even wet! I did not bring it to the attention of the server because my friend does not want to make a fuss, but hygiene is the baseline...

This hot pot restaurant is amazing!!! the meat quality are very good athe signature beef tallow broth is very spicy and rich even if you get the mild version, highly recommend doing the signature block along with the beef bone broth. I really enjoyed it and excellent table service!!

Do not go here unless u want stomachache and diarrhea!!! Had a dinner here and both of us woke up with stomachaches the next morning. Both of us experienced watery diarrhea the whole morning several times. Call the restaurant and they refused to take responsibility, stating it's caused by other food we had. That was literally our last meal of the day and we had nothing else after dining in here. Had hotpot so many times in many restaurants and never experienced this before. Filed a complaint with the Boston Health Division.

It's a decent hotpot place. Food is fresh, with six different kinds of broth to choose from. You can also pick the broth selection mix (1 or 2 or 3 petitions in a pot). We picked the mala broth and chicken broth, and they are very decent. There are decent selection of meat (including beef, lamb, and surprisingly, duck meat too), veggies, and other sides to choose from (eg. kidney), though I'm surprised there's no tripe or beef stomach. There is squid, but no octopus. There's quite a selection of beef, saki, red and white wine, though there's very little else except soda. I'd love to have some juice selection (eg. watermelon, orange, or mango), but they don't have it. Hotpot would not be complete without the sauce. The selection is decent, that allows you to make your own combo. They also have some unique ones, like mushroom sauce, which is interesting. I do wish they also add peanut butter, and fermented tofu paste in the selection, but they don't have it. They do offer peanuts, pickled radish and black fungus for appetite which I like a lot. Each guest is also offered a small can of sesame oil for use, but I find the excessive packaging quite wasteful and unnecessary. Why can't they have it in the sauce bar instead, saving all the small tin cans??? Price wise, it's not the cheapest, but given the current high inflation, the prices are alright. For a table of 4 adults, it's well over $220 which isn't cheap, I must say. Like most chinese restaurants these days, the menu and ordering are all done on your phone with QR code. So, make sure you bring your smartphone. There are street metered parking, but as always, it's very very hard to find parking spot in this area.

Fine hotpot dining experience for Allston area. Top quality meat and great broth. Highly recommend tomato and tomyum broth for your experience.

This place was fantastic. Straight up the best hot pot my girlfriend and I have ever had, both in service and in food. The staff was super nice and attentive, my girlfriend is a vegetarian and they were accommodative and polite about it in a way no other restaurant goes through the effort to do. Awesome place and vibe!! Good job DLY hotpot!!!
