You are going to want to come in with an appetite, there is a lot of food. This is a place where you want to bring a friend or even a group of friends. My sister and I tried the DM7.5, in my opinion it could definitely feed 3 or 4 people. The workers spoke Chinese and English, my sister and I do not speak Chinese and we were able to communicate with them. They were very nice and were very attentive. We appreciate them helping us order our platter as it was our first time visiting. When the platter came, they lit some candles on our table and placed the platter on top. The fire will keep our food and cheese sauce warm. The chicken bits were tiny bite sized and went really well with the chewy rice cakes and cheese sauce. I wish I knew their cheese sauce recipe, I could eat it everyday. The drinks were really good too, went really well with our food. I thought the chicken could have more flavor though, it was really crispy so that's a plus. Overall if you want to check this spot out, come with an empty belly, portion sizes are huge, unless you come with a big group.

Missed this so much! I had this DM Chicken when I was in Beijing/Guangzhou/Shanghai but it was two years ago. Good to taste it in NYC again! It has three sizes and I think 5 DM is quite enough for 1 even for 2. There are many choices of the flavors but I think the original is the best. It tastes great when you dip the marinated chicken in the melted cheese. The fried chickens are worth trying as well. I would recommend the chicken wings with squid ink (black ones). It’s crispy from the outside and tender for the inside. Good to see it’s right next to NYU. Gives me a lot of chances to visit!

You order by DM Longest you get, the portion is bigger. We got 10DM chicken Totally enough for 4 people. The meal include 2 chicken flavor of your choice. Special cheese, fried chicken wings, French fries, daily salad, lamp chop, beef patty! We also got chicken wing with squid ink, taste super crispy with great flavor!

I went in with some friends for lunch today and it was a really nice experience. We got the 3-4 person portion with an extra order of squid ink wings. We also really enjoyed the drinks that they offered. We got the alcohol free mojito, pineapple coconut, and the lemon black tea. The vibe was really nice with comfortable seating and good music. Definitely for a group of people.

Unique place, great service and variety in the platters. We ordered the 7.5 dm platter and paid extra for the chicken wings with squid ink. Everything was delicious but I would not get the squid ink chicken wings again, it looks different but it did not have much flavor.

Not sure why the ratings are so bad here but the food was good and i also had no issues with customer service either. The flavors of chicken are not what I expected but they still tasted good. I also enjoyed the sides it came with. The fries were crispy, chicken wings were crunchy and juicy, liked the beef patty too and the salad was refreshing. I also enjoyed the drinks. Hope this review helps them out. I think it's a solid place to go with friends

DM Chicken is a little hip eatery that specializes in chicken, Chinese/Western fusion.  I ordered "sweet spicy" 5DM chicken.  There was a LOT of chicken bites, and a lot of garlic, onion ,rice cakes and other fillers.  The food was delicious because of the bold flavors and well cooked .The 5DM is supposed to be for 2 people, but the portion can feed upto 3 -4 people if you also order some other sides.  It will be more economical if you come in bigger group to share a bigger chicken order. The service was fast and sufficient.  The decor is casual, fun and young.

I had a great time! I got the smallest portion, but the portions themselves are pretty large so make sure to bring a buddy. The food, of course, was always good. Shoutout DM I just passed by it and decided to stop in. Did not disappoint. The food is also consistently heated by candles, so the food will stay pretty warm the entire time.
