D’Maize

Extremely delicious and very affordable pupusas! Lots of variety to choose from and the slaw that comes with it is a nice contrast to the pupusa. Staff was super friendly and the restaurant space was very safely set-up with barriers and social distancing signs everywhere. They also provided hand sanitizer after touching the payment pad. There is an outdoor patio that is currently open for folks to eat their meal there, but I had mine to go.

Friendly people and delicious food were at this little place on a colorful street. When I saw they had vegan pupusas (usually loaded with cheese), I jumped at the opportunity. With the refried black beans, he offered spinach too. Yes, please! And it came with a nice little salad and a scrumptious red sauce that wasn't spicy. I only ordered one as a test and it passed with flying colors. I plan to return for more vegan pupusas and their vegan platter. I'm so glad to have discovered this place!

We had the asada pupusas, very good. The food score was 100, and their customer service was wonderful. I love it here.

I had a carne asade and chicken pupusa; I'll say it tasted very good and it was my first time having pupusas. The pickled salsa -- spicy sauerkraut -- I just don't know!, was quite good. To be totally honest, the chicken pupusa was not super appetizing because the consistency of the sauce/juices of the inside were very watery (a bad combo with the color of the contents). It just didn't look appetizing, even if it tasted good.

Note - under new management as of Q3 2016 - and the new management is great! Very friendly, *delicious* pupusas, decent prices for the city, great back patio. They have all the traditional fillings but try the Bacon and Cheese, it's amazing! They were still figuring out their non-pupusa menu items when I visited, so stick to the pupusas until they have a few more months to settle in.

The food at D'Maize is amazing. We have used them to cater our company events for three years. The owner is easy to work with, the food is always delicious, and they are super professional. I eat here on my own and we love eating their food as a staff. Thank you!

The presentation of the food was pretty and the restaurant looks clean and has a nice area to eat outside in the back. However, the food is way overpriced for the area and wasn't particularly tasty. I ordered the grilled chicken, which was slimy, and it came with rice (which was good), and black bean paste (not sure if it was supposed to be a paste, but there were no beans). This is not somewhere I'd visit again.
