Do & Co Restaurant am Stephansplatz

"Up on the seventh floor, this is one of the city's hotspots: a modern, elegant restaurant with a great terrace and a view of St Stephen's Cathedral. In the open kitchen the team cooks up international cuisine. Alongside the many Asian-influenced dishes, including sushi, the menu also features Austrian classics." - Michelin Inspector

We have visited this restaurant many times. The staff is friendly. The food is good but this time I felt the value compared to the prices was nit justified. The bread and butter first are good but 5 Euro per person is not justified. Even the toddler with us was charged 5 Euro! French fries are thin and boring. The cantonese beef cheeks were too sweet and just four mini pieces. Also the portion of the agnolotti was just two bites. Very disappointing. The lamb shank and organic chicken were good. Also the cocktail prawn were great. The Red Passion virgin cocktail was good.

We had a small issue at first during our visit to DO & CO Stephansplatz, but the team handled it with professionalism and care. Thanks to the manager, we ended up with the best table on the floor, with a stunning view of St. Stephen’s Cathedral. The food was absolutely delicious and the desserts were to die for! A truly memorable dining experience, definitely worth 5 stars.

Great experience from the very first moment we walked in and left our jackets at the desk. The staff is very well trained and extremely friendly. The food was awesome and nicely served. Welcome champagne average quality, wine list with a large variety of choice. The place couldn't be more central than that and the view of the cathedral is a great plus.

A challenging entry through a dark alley and an elevator to a welcome desk on level six from where we had to walk upstairs to the restaurant on level 7. The restaurant is pretty service was excellent and food was tasty

The lamb shank was fall off the bone amazing. The bouillabaisse was incredible- tasted like a lobster bisque and had huge chunks of seafood within it. The tuna steak was delicious, but I will note that the sushi roll that costs $22 was what an ordinary sushi restaurant would charge $10 for.. other than that the food was excellent. Obviously this restaurant has a perfect view of the cathedral and the atmosphere was wonderful.

We requested a table outside. We booked this place months ago, but it was raining that day. That's okay; it happens, so we ate inside and spent several hundred dollars. We then asked if we could have a table outside the following week since we would be back from our road trip, and it would be lovely. They said yes. However, when we arrived, they informed us that since we did not book months in advance, there was no table outside for us. We had to eat inside during our allotted time and left feeling very disappointed. What was most frustrating was that when we left, 50% of the tables outside remained unused. It's strange how they operate. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The service is inconsistent; it was good the first time but terrible the second. It took 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive.

We came for a lunch, no reservation and we were curious If it can validate high expectations we were having since we visited the one in Munich which we absolutely adored. Almost it did. First and the foremost - the food was great, sushi was so fresh and a piece of it was truly perfect, edamame also. Drinks were tops, campari spritz was almost like the original one - not bitter as I find it elsewhere so here they used a good prosecco. Waiting for the food was up to 15-20min so it was a quick lunch and the place was still kinda half full only. Maybe bc we came during the day but the enterior looked a bit cheap and dull, so the next time I would rather go for a dinner. I just didn’t like the vibe of the place but the rest was worth the visit. 4,5 I would rate this

We came through the Michelin Guide app although it has no starts. It was the only one we could find open on Sunday evening. The food was meh. All dishes are with excellent ingredients but it’s cooked and served in a very simple way. There are truffles in many dishes although they are not related at all to the dish. Would not recommend as there are excellent local alternatives.

Yelp
This restaurant SCREAMS Times Square tourist spot. It wasn't bad don't get me wrong, but it's mediocre. I ordered the Lamb Shank that was like 90% warm with a few bites that tastes like they didn't serve it in time. She ordered the prawns that looked good. We split a bottle of Champagne as well which wasn't terribly priced. Biggest issue was my finacée and I came to celebrate our recent Engagement they didn't seem to care. If you're looking to celebrate something fun and want to be impressed this isn't the spot. Also can they please change the music? Runway songs that repeat the same 3 notes for 30 minutes ain't it.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing place with a great view of the historical center and stunning sushi, Asian meals, steaks and desserts. If you want to impress someone in terms of food this is the place to go. I would only suggest adding amuse bouche and maybe slight interior redesign so it's more up to the latest trends could also help ;)

Yelp
Hand crafted cocktails and you can't beat the view in the bar. The restaurant meal was excellent as well. We went here three times during our stay. That alone says something!

Yelp
When you're tired of wiener schnitzel, try DO & CO. I was a little hesitant to eat here because of the steep prices but honestly, it was all worth it. The service is great and the food even better. The cuisine bends more towards Asian Fusion with a menu full of sushi, noodle dishes, and stir-fry. My friend started the night with steak and tuna tartare so I tried some and it was very tasty and fresh! A must if you're eating raw foods. We both ordered the Chicken Curry Noodle dish and it was out of this world. The curry is similar to a Thai yellow curry with Vermicelli noodles and what seems like half a chicken. It looks like a small portion size but it is actually really filling since the curry is thick. Even the bread they served at the beginning of the meal was delicious - hot, straight out of the oven. My entree with a glass of wine was about 29 euros which is definitely on the high end but like I said, worth the visit for the amazing food!!

Yelp
Beautiful view over Vienna. A paradise for smokers, which is a big disadvantage if you do not smoke... Our Hugo made up for this!
