"Over the last 30-plus years, Gabriele and Norbert Dobler have turned their restaurant into a veritable institution with a loyal following of regulars here in the "City of Squares" - also after handing over the reins to head chef Eric Schumacher, who has been at the restaurant since 2013. His cuisine is rooted in tradition but by no means outdated. There is no need for showmanship when you have top-notch ingredients and technical skill as impressive as this. Both at lunchtime and in the evening, you can order à la carte or opt for their seasonal set menu ("Menü zur Jahreszeit"). There is also a three-course lunch deal that offers excellent value for money! My wife and I tried the 3-course lunch menu in the beginning of May. The experience was beyond our expectations and we enjoyed a lot. Overall, fully worthy of its Michelin one-star. All dishes are very well prepared. Appetizers, main courses, desserts, and even the free snacks were seasoned excellently. The flavors were prominent and balanced, almost impeccable. Although the presentations were not particularly outstanding, they were still pleasing. We will definitely revisit this restaurant.

Always a great idea! Probably the best classical french restaurant in the region. Amazing products transformed into amazing dishes! We had our birthday celebration there and it was just amazing! Highly recommended to every foodie and fine dining enthusiast. Also a huuuge selection of wines! Wine lovers - this is a must visit for you!

A great Michelin star restaurant in the center of Mannheim. Low-key on the inside and outside. Great service by most of the staff. The food was great. Will go again. We had the menu, unfortunately there is not a wine menu that accompanies it (for lunch, at least).

Excellent meal from beginning to end. A creative amuse gueule (creme brulee of four gras), one of the best halibut dishes I have eaten (with a beurre blanc flavoured with woodruff) to a perfect dessert. Wonderful. Very attentive service, although they in the end overcharged us (5 courses instead of four), so check your bill.

Cozy place close located to Mannheim central station. We went to the Michelin Lunch for 150€ (with two additional a la carte orders) for two persons, which is an okay pricing. The service is distant, but attentative. Doblers serves french-german cusisine, highlight was an excellent foie gras, any dish with quality ingredients, good textures, but nothing surprising, just classic good food. In Mannheim, a good way to invite your grandmother or your parents when they are visiting you ;)

Dobler's is definitely a rare gem in Mannheim. I had the chance to grab lunch there one day, and was so pleasantly surprised by the impressive 4-course lunch menu. To be honest, we were a bit liberal with the bubblies and wine paring throughout the meal... I cannot recite every single ingredient in the 4 courses I was served. But I can say in full confidence that every dish, every bite, contained fresh and perfectly cooked ingredients drizzled with sauces and garnishes that balance, expand and deepen the flavor. I am definitely looking forward to return for dinner one day. Note: "Muss(t)" make reservation - as the locals would say.
