Tucked away at the end of Haywood on the edge of West AVL, Dobra Tea West offers a tranquil retreat from the chaos of daily life. From the moment you step inside, the atmosphere invites you to slow down and savor every sip. The warm, earthy decor and soft lighting create an ambiance that is both grounding and ethereal, perfect for an introspective solo visit or a long, thoughtful conversation with friends. The tea selection here is extraordinary. Whether you’re a seasoned tea enthusiast or new to the world of loose-leaf infusions, the knowledgeable staff will help you navigate their extensive menu, offering expert advice on flavor profiles, caffeine levels, and brewing methods. Ru, Andrew, or others are amazing. Each tea is served with reverence, emphasizing multiple infusions to fully explore its depth and character. To enjoy the full sensory experience, plan to arrive at-least an hour before last call is essential. This allows time to settle in, sip mindfully, and truly appreciate the nuances of the tea without feeling rushed. The full menu also features a variety of vegan food options, each thoughtfully curated to complement the delicate flavors of the teas. Please ask for assistance if clarifications are required on food allergens. Dobra Tea is more than a cafe; it’s a sanctuary where time slows, and every detail is designed to enhance the art of tea drinking. Whether you come for the peaceful ambiance, the expert guidance, or the unparalleled selection, you’ll leave feeling refreshed, grounded, and better than you arrived.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Dobra West for years, drawn in by the peaceful ambiance and delicious food offerings. It’s always been a place I’ve loved to visit, where the energy felt warm and welcoming. Lately, though, something seems to have shifted. Over the past several months, I’ve noticed that the overall atmosphere feels different — the staff, who once felt engaged and genuinely happy to be there, now often seem disengaged or even a bit down. When I place an order, it sometimes feels like I’m intruding rather than being welcomed. My hunch, having worked in the hospitality industry before, is this likely has to do with management and is trickling down to its most important attribute - it’s employees. I say this with care and curiosity, not criticism — I truly love this space and want to continue supporting it. But my recent experiences, and those of friends who also frequent Dobra, have left us wondering what might have changed behind the scenes. We hope things improve and that the wonderful energy we’ve always known and loved can return.

Google
Such a cool, hip place. It's rare to find these teas offered and to be able to drink them in such an amazing environment. Made me feel like I was back in Korea! If I lived nearby, I would go here multiple times a week ... Alas. Please come to MA! The service was so good too. You know it's a great place when the employees are into the product themselves. I really liked this place!

Google
I love all of the Dobra tea locations. But often downtown can be crowded. I also host a radio show in West Asheville on 103.3, and so sometimes it is great fun to take our guests out to the West Asheville Dobra location. This location seems somehow more mellow, less touristy and more locals. It has a great vibe, and, in some ways I think the menu is a bit larger (at least in terms of food). It is rare to wait for a table here, except during peak tourist season in the summer. I’ve had meetings here over the years; I’ve had my radio show guests come here over the years, and I’ve been here alone, just to have a gorgeous pot of tea and clear my head and get some reading done. I remember when they opened, and I was so excited. They never disappoint.

Google
I am madly in love with this establishment. I talk nonstop about this place, having vegan and gluten free options that are very delicious. Dobra is such a traditionally raw beauty. :) I can't wait to make all my Asheville journeys mainly for you guys!

AMAZING, 10/10 would recommend if you enjoy tea whatsoever! the sakura cha was very good and the whole vibe of the place was great.

Excellent place for a date, nice meeting, relaxing conversations, family friendly

Yelp
The food was great, the service was okay. I noticed the server was more friendly with others around me than me. I tipped well, and was friendly and polite when having to interact with anyone, and smiled to acknowledge people, so I'm not sure what I could've done the short time I was there to be treated with less warmth. At one point I walked up to ask a question, and all 3 workers in that area that saw me pretty much ignored me, and walked off. I got the attention of the 4th worker whose back was facing me, and they helped me. Overall, the food is great, and the decor is really cool, but if I ever go back again, I'll probably just order to go.

Yelp
What an amazing place! The atmosphere is calm for solo people wanting to hang out with a book or journal but social enough for people who want to meet with a group. They have options for those who want to sit at a table and for those who want to sit on the floor. The tea selections are far and wide! The menu is huge! At first I was overwhelmed with the options, but the lady at the counter was nice and helpful with recommendations. We were bummed to have missed out on the lunch since the kitchen closes at 3pm, but that made us even more eager to come back at another time. Both dessert options we chose - the S'mores Tart and Black Sesame Ginger Cake - were delicious! I chose the masala tea with rooibos with oat milk and honey. I loved the way it was served, and even though I usually drink my tea straight, it was fun to experiment with the milk and honey. I will definitely be coming back many more times and check out their other locations too!

Yelp
I was in Asheville and wanted to pick up some tea from Asheville Tea Company. Sadly, the store is still closed after the hurricane. I searched on their website and saw Dobra Tea in west Asheville was open and sells their tea! I walked over and have been here for 45 minutes enjoying my chai! I honestly thought I would just get it to go but it's a lovely atmosphere! A couple next to me is clearly on a first date and I'm eavesdropping and it sounds like it's going really well! I got 2 boxes of the Asheville tea company tea and an iced chai latte. So grateful to be able to support west Asheville during this time of rebuilding.

Yelp
Been here 2x when visiting and and have enjoyed it thoroughly- there's not enough tea houses in the US with quality ingredients, a great ambiance, and comfortable seating- this is a gem of a place! Def worth a visit for one hour or 10 min or whatever you have time for. Also, they had a vegan muffin we tried that was surprisingly moist and delicious.

Yelp
This spot is an unexpected surprise - you don't really expect it to be what it is when you see it from the outside sidewalk. You walk inside and POW a stunning, zen-like teahouse oasis! They have traditional seating at bistro tables up front, a second area with a more Japan-themed tea area with sunken round tables where you sit on pillows and a third area which is very traditional where you can sit on pillows on the floor around very low tables. The menu is loaded to the gills with teas. They probably have over 20 green tea flavors alone. This is going to be legit - full-leaf tea most served in a pot with a side of milk of your choosing. They also had some regional favorites like Persian tea, traditional Chai, and even Boba. The tea menu is gigantic. We stopped in a few times on our trip and were pretty happy with our choices. We had several things which I'll list below: Food: 1- The Yum Bowl Jasmine rice, seasoned black beans, steamed kale, sweet potato, cauliflower, red cabbage, avocado, and salsa topped with our signature Yum sauce 2- Hummus Plate House made hummus topped with olive oil and za'atar, served with fresh sliced cucumbers and toasted pita, ask for today's seasonal flavor 3- Southwestern Black Bean Dip A rich and warming bowl of Dare Vegan Spicy Queso with house-seasoned black beans topped with fresh avocado, cilantro and lime. Served with gluten-free pita wedges. 4-Ayurvedic Kitchari A tri-doshic blend of mung dal & basmati rice topped with cilantro & fresh lime wedge. Your choice of coconut oil or house-made ghee 5-Grilled Tempeh 6-Immunity Sipping Broth Ginger miso broth with six medicinal mushrooms 7-Avocado Toast Sliced avocado dusted with chipotle and sea salt 8-Cucumber salad Drinks: 1-MATCHA GREEN TEA LATTE Japanese powered green, nutrient rich and energizing, sweetened with honey. 2-THE BEES KNEES The taste of divine nectar! Coconut water, locally grown lavender flowers, rose water, local mint leaf and Appalachian honey create the most relaxing refreshment 3-GOLDEN TICKET Coconut butter, turmeric, goji berry, black pepper, milk, honey. Made locally by The Nohm Co. 4-Hibicus Iced Tea Sweets: 1-Pistachio Rose Cardamom Cookie Sweetened with cane sugar, contains nuts, dairy, and eggs. They have an excellent vegan menu with a ton of entrees, soups and baked sweets. Of the things we ordered - the standout was the Grilled Tempeh, Southwestern black bean dip served with delicious thin crispy and warm pita chips and a spicy vegan cheese dip we all loved and the hummus. Also - the pistachio rose cardamom cookie was large and delicious and fresh. I ate half and then took the other half home with me as a snack on the plane. NOMS! Loved the vibes, loved the tea, loved the food and the gals inside were SO nice to us! They have three locations in Asheville and if I were a local - this would def. be on the regular rotation!

Yelp
Cute little spot with lots of seating, even floor seating with your legs in a hole below the floor, kind of cool. I had the expectations of something more like high tea, if that is what you are looking for this is not the place. Every kind of tea you can imagine. All of their food is gluten free and the small muffin served with our tea was surprisingly tasty. I thought it was strange that only one was served since there were two of us having tea. Something to consider. I am a black tea person, but I tried the Black Vanilla tea and it was good.

Yelp
Delicious Tulsi Chai Latte! Quick service. Comfortable for sitting and studying or relaxing with a cup of tea. Great place

Yelp
This is my new favorite restaurant in Asheville. And given the food scene in Asheville, it is a very high bar to cross.

Georgia D.

Yelp
Food very good, however a little pricy for the smaller portion sizes! Great ambiance and menu is well labeled.
google avatar

Yelp
As a tea fanatic, it's so nice to be able to visit a place and ask for tea and be given full leaf and not teabags. Not only is the selection fantastic, but the ambience and the relaxation is hard to beat.
google avatar

Mara M.

Yelp
We had a very tasty lunch here. I actually like this one better than the downtown one because they have a much larger menu with more meals versus just sweets treats and appetizers downtown. Also this space feels lighter and more open energetically. We had a bowl, summer rolls and avocado toast my daughter had a Boba everything was yummy!

Yelp
This vegetarian tea place is operating as a takeout window with some outdoor dining out back. At least, for everyone else it was. For me, I ordered a bubble tea and a lentil-based kichadi and waited out back, but it wasn't delivered. And I know they saw me there, because I went inside for the restroom while I was waiting. When I finally went around to the front again, a bubble tea with mostly melted ice and a cold kichadi awaited. I would add that when paying, their tip options started at 20% and went up from there. Norms around service and around tipping continue to evolve in the coronavirus era, but they're being awfully generous to themselves for being unable to execute the basic level of service they're currently offering. The tea, which was available with a variety of milks at no extra charge (I went with oat) was richly flavored, though the boba at the bottom tasted rather like coffee and clashed oddly with it. The kichadi, again available with ghee on top or coconut oil as a vegan option, wasn't bad but was a bit sweeter and less spicy than I'd hoped. I liked them in principle that I'd try them again (perhaps at the downtown location), but they didn't impress me.

Yelp
If you are a meditative tea drinker, this is a beautiful little spot. It's quiet, it has different small seating areas that are unique, and it has a very pleasant staff. Personally, I'm a coffee drinker. I did notice that they had bubble tea so... I used to love that! However, they use a different recipe than what I was accustomed to. I ordered the chai bubble tea. It was basically unsweetened and the bubbles, tapioca pearls, or rather mushy. I won't get it again. Again I'm sure it's a tea-livers heaven. Haven at the very least.

Yelp
The cutest place! Friend and I came here and the different types of seating you can sit at. We got two different types of tea and shared it. They come with a milk pour and a small glass of honey. My friend and I plan on coming back to study here sometime!

Yelp
The most amazing teas, food and chill / positive vibe atmosphere . Vegan & non-vegan options and great location too.
google avatar

Mio H.

Yelp
The ambiance is my favorite part of this cafe but the tea is all so great and not to say the cookies and the cakes that are made there are delicious. So many vegan sweets. While we stayed in Asheville we went there 2-3times. The service is great too super friendly staffs.

Olivia M.

Yelp
i love everything about dobra ... and . The last time i came in (30 mins before close) i ordered food and tea and was planning on being out before close as i work in the industry and get it. What was annoying was that they took 25 mins to get my partner and i our stuff and had no time to dine- and then right at closing time they turned off music and lights and kicked everyone out. Listen i get it, but if it's going to take that long to make stuff at least let people finish their damn food. Still giving 4 stars tho bc i love this place
google avatar

Yelp
I got the miso bowl, banh mi sandwich, bees knees iced tea and it was all outstandingly delicious. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing too. Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Asheville!
google avatar

Michael R.

Yelp
Best tea place we've ever been to. The atmosphere is calming and delightful. The tea selection is normally huge but scaled down during COVID. Still a very good selection. Your tea comes with traditional tea service, appropriate for the style you choose. Staff are knowledgable and gracious.
google avatar

Yelp
What a beautiful sanctuary of space and celebration of healing food and drink! From my Immunity sipping broth to my auntie's vegan kale caesar, our herbal tea blends and our delicious Matcha Pistachio truffles we were in palate and belly heaven!
google avatar

Eden N.

Yelp
Overall it's a great place to eat vegan. Lots of choices for food, snacks and drinks. My review is towards their Golden Milk. It used to be the yummiest and most perfect blend of Golden Milk I had ever had. And I've tried them all over the world, including Asia. Gus - their previous employee - used to make it just so perfect. Now, since he left, the personnel has been rotating way too much, and it has never been the same. Now it's always lumpy and never as smooth. I'm sad because this was the main reason why I used to come to West Asheville. I hope they can do something about this. I really hope so.

Yelp
It's hard to argue the fact that we, at Marbin, enjoy a warm caffeinated beverage in the morning! Today, the band decided to make a pit stop at Dobra Tearoom and Vegetarian Cafe in Ashville, NC. There are a couple of things one notices, right off the bat, upon walking in: Red carpets with worldly overtones (Indian if I had to guess), a wall mural that depicts a purple woman with a bindi, harvesting a field (probably for tea), many rustic bamboo weaved chairs covered with decorative sitting pillows (perfect for people with bony asses), and an eclectic looking staff. The staff all seem to have struck a new balance in their fashion and attitude by blending the sophisticated indifference of hipsters, the mellowness of hippies, the daring tattoos and body piercings of train hoppers, and adding just a tasteful dash of that North Carolina country vibe. This look, gave the wait staff at Dobra a unique edge that I, as a customer, appreciate immensely, when it comes to the team of sommeliers who are in charge of steeping my tea. Our Kenyan blend was served in traditional teaware, not sure which tradition, the dishes were aesthetically pleasing and the tea was delightful! The staff chose to play dub step music and then followed with some trap beats as background, Personally, I thought the music choice was bold, but somehow it seemed to work with the overall atmosphere quite nicely. East meets west! Eclectic!!! In conclusion, this establishment could only improve if the owners of Dobra decide to add meat to their menu and stop being silly anemics. 5/5!!! Highly recommended!

Yelp
This tea house was not very welcoming to me and my service animal. I have a trained and registered medical alert dog. He is not a pet nor is he an emotional support animal. He is small, quiet, exceptionally well trained and wears a vest that marks him as a service animal. I came to do some work at this tea house inside in the air conditioning with my laptop. I was told that my dog and I could sit on the uncovered patio but not inside. It was 75+ degrees, humid and had just finished raining. When I explained that my dog is not a pet but a medical alert dog, I received a reluctant and frustrated "Fine" from the service person at the counter with body language that clearly conveyed displeasure. Then he walked away. The energy was palpable and felt quite unwelcoming. Ultimately, I left. I understand why people might not want untrained pets inside a tea house like this, and also my dog is not a pet. He is a working dog that accompanies me everywhere for reasons that are tied to a medical condition. While I wasn't ultimately denied access to inside seating, I certainly felt judged for wanting to be inside. As someone who moves through the world with a service animal, and has all sorts of interactions with people about him, I take note of the businesses where I/we are genuinely welcomed and those where we are begrudgingly tolerated. And I want to use my resources to support the places who exhibit empathy and support for people with service animals and disabilities. This place really missed the mark on creating a welcoming environment. As someone who just moved to Asheville, I was quite disappointed and won't be returning to or recommending this tea house, no matter how cute and delicious it may be.

Yelp
We were looking for a place with good vegan options for my wife, and since we both love tea, we drove out to West Asheville to try this place. I think their other location does not serve substantial food. For COVID, you place your order at the window on the sidewalk and if you want to eat in, you go around to the courtyard in their backyard. I ordered an oolong tea, a cup of thom kha soup, and a thai peanut noodle salad. My wife had a seasonal drink (I think like a pumkin latte) and the vegan cheese plate which the staff person recommended. We intended to sit out back but as the sun was going down, it started getting cold so we asked for our orders to go. My soup was very flavorful but the Thai salad was a little disappointing -- barely any noodles, and I was hoping for more spice. Overall, we did enjoy it and would come back again.

Yelp
Wonderful service, great atmosphere, and the Tempeh Reuben was one of the best I've had! I also had a pot of tea-there is a broad selection of great options. My friend had a Boba tea that she loved. I look forward to coming back and trying other things on the menu
google avatar

Shan W.

Yelp
Great place for a date with my Love. I think I would like this place even better in the winter when I will enjoy a hot tea. Their cold teas were very good and refreshing and the bakery items were awesome. Will be bringing my dairy free little boy here so he can enjoy some sweets.

Yelp
Dobra Tea is a special place that is very unique and unlike any other spots in town. This place is beautifully decorated and makes you feel calm and at peace the instant you walk through the door. Dobra is a place to go and spend time catching up with friends, enjoying your time together. Don't go here if you're in a rush because they take their time on everything, including creating flavorful drinks made with TLC. The tea book is huge and has tons of options. It seems a little overwhelming at first, but the staff are usually super helpful and can help you navigate or make suggestions. I almost always order the chill tea Staraborchav (not sure that's spelled correctly) as it is a sweet and refreshing cold tea served in a tall glass and looks more like beer than tea. I also tend to order the Figgy Tea Cake to snack on but they have a bunch of tasty pastry treats to order. The Oatmeal Cream Pie and pistachio Matcha energy balls are also really awesome! Dobra has a location downtown, in west Asheville and in Black Mountain. My personal favorite is the West ASheville location because I like their seating options best.

Yelp
I. Love. This. Place. Great tea, outstanding food, phenomenal service. What's not to love? Tried the ginger pu-er tea which was perfect. Slightly spicy, mildly sweet, perfectly bitter but oh so smooth. 10/10 do recommend. If you're not sure what you'd like, the staff is more than willing to help you out. For dinner we had the kale cesear salad, one of the bowls and the miso soup. Everything was perfect! I can't wait to go back and try it all again. Got a hemp tea (CBD infused) to go along with a matcha which (you guessed it) were great. These guys are doing a great job and you deserve to treat yourself. So stop by, sit down, look at the menu, ring the bell and enjoy yourself.
google avatar

Rhonda H.

Yelp
Even though my new goal is to try a different tea on the menu my classic favorite is Tulsi chia with oat milk alongside the westside bowl.
google avatar

Doan N.

Yelp
This is such a unique place, I love the atmosphere here. Very relaxing and pleasant experience. The tea was great and I loved the pastries. Will be back to try the different teas
google avatar

Jordan E.

Yelp
A nice, quiet place to try many different types of tea. Their list of options is long and they are able to meet many dietary needs - dairy free milk options and sugar/honey alternatives.
google avatar

Carmen J.

Yelp
This must be a really popular place because basically everyone in AVLE was here. There's a lot going on and I was a little overwhelmed at first. You can order food and there are areas where you can sit and have a traditional-type tea ceremony. There were tons of teas on the tea menu and I was also overwhelmed by that giant list because I had no idea what all the teas were and what the kinds were, etc. so I settled on something I knew-Black (rose) tea. I made the tea today by the way and it was delicious. My friend ordered hot chocolate to go and we waited about 10 minutes for it-not joking. It was pretty good but just know if you are stopping in for a quick hot chocolate it's gonna take a hot minute. Overall I felt a bit overwhelmed while visiting this place. Maybe because the people behind the counter seemed overwhelmed? They were pretty steady while I was there waiting for hot chocolate and for someone to help me get some loose tea. The girl who helped us was really nice.
google avatar

Sharita R.

Yelp
Dobra Tea has cultivated such a relaxing space to chill out in. The space is pretty large, but you wouldn't guess it by the vibes in here. It feels very quiet and cozy. I tried the matcha bubble tea (came with a huge metal straw), the chai latte with CBD, and the tom kha soup. Everything tasted great. I was very impressed by the tea selection here and I appreciated how they broke down the teas into types and regions on the menu. I will say that service was not the quickest, which is okay if you are planning to hang out for quite a while. I would say it was not overwhelmingly busy on the day that I visited, but I've only been here once so I cannot say if service is usually this laid back or not. Just don't plan on sitting, ordering, and finishing up within 15 minutes or anything. Everyone working here is very nice and helpful, though, and will answer whatever questions you have about the menu and the bagillion teas that they carry. Definitely worth a visit here!

Katie C.

Yelp
Two hours flew by while sipping our delicious masala and keeman tea. My husband and I enjoyed the herby hummus in between sips of tea. The entire experience was something out of a dream. We took our shoes off and sat on cute seat mats while our tea was brought to us in authentic clay pots. We were able to pour our own tea and add in our milk and honey. We could have stayed there all day! WiFi was available but honestly who needed it with a place as relaxing as this.

Yelp
Excellent with allergies and special diets! Great ambiance for brunch or date. We love the boba & mochi red bean dessert

Kenna C.

Yelp
This is a special place to relax, take a deep breath and unwind as you pérouse the extensive menu. The menu looks like a book but will give you much insight into so many types of tea from all around the globe. It is educational for sure. It offers a lovely description of each tea so you have an idea of what you're committing to. I can't imagine the time and research it took to put the menu together but it is appreciated as it heightens your appreciation for the diversity of kinds and their properties. Once you've made your decision you ring the little bell they provide you, a server takes your order and your special experience awaits you. I love how they serve the beverage in the traditional receptacle, according to the tea you select. It adds to the delight. They also offer a small food menu with thoughtful eats. A good light eating experience has been had each time. The dessert selection is also thoughtful being free of anything processed and usually either gluten free, vegan and using natural sweeteners. You can tell they are made with love. It is a plant filled calm environment. A wonderful place to take visitors for a special treat. My only wish is that the seating was more comfortable. I wish, I wish because it would add another level of leisure and comfort to the experience. But I guess people might stay too long then, lol!
google avatar

Taylor W.

Yelp
Very chill with very good food and drinks. I recommend the Reuben. My wife has several food allergies and the man working the counter was so kind and went through their recipe book with her to see what she could have. Great service, great food, great atmosphere! Can't ask for much more!
google avatar

Trisha S.

Yelp
I came here for an afternoon tea break. I had a jasmine pearl tea along with a daifuku mochi. The jasmine tea was decent. The only sad thing is that now with Covid, you are unable to appreciate the tea proper kettle. The outdoor seating was nice. Very Zen like.
google avatar

Yael D.

Yelp
I liked this place. A lot. But the entire time I was here, I couldn't get the song 'You can Ring my Bell' out of my head: You see, there's a little bell on every table that you're supposed to ring to get the attention of your server. Not only did I find this to be weird AF, but c'mon, isn't being a server already demeaning enough by definition? I was a server myself and cannot imagine customers summoning me with a bell. This seems to be such a zen place otherwise, with space in the back for people to take off their shoes and sit on the floor while enjoying their tea, that I just don't get the whole bell thing. All of this aside, the cold Matcha drinks are great here and hubby really dug the pot of hot tea he ordered. Also really enjoyed the Fresh Spring Rolls, wrapped in Rice Paper and packed with julienned raw veggies, including beets and carrots. An accompanying peanut dipping sauce needed some sweetness, or heat, or acid, or even just some good 'ole salt and pepper since it was beyond bland. But still... I'd totally order this again. A 'Daily Spread' of Golden Beet Hummus, if I recall correctly, was also lovely. Agree with Elena M. in that this location of Dobra rules over the downtown one, which we also tried. She's dead-on about the expanded menu here. Aw man... as I write this, I can't seem to get the bell references out of my head. Now 'for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee' is echoing on repeat. This is bad. Bell-y, Bell-y bad.:(

Yelp
After checking out the Dobra Tea over in Black Mountain we realized that there was one right down the road from us. Within walking distance, score! The space is pretty large and there are tons of seats. We went on a Tuesday evening and it was pretty relaxed inside. It looks like they have some sort of food menu that we will half to check out next time we go, we just ordered some tea. You grab a seat and they'll bring over a menu for you to look over, then you ring a little bell to let them know that you are ready to order. I felt a little weird doing that but it totally gets the job done and that way you know you'll only be bothered when you want to be. I think it's the perfect place for meeting some friends or just hanging out. We will be back!

Yelp
Love dobra tea so much. This location is so much better than the downtown one IMO. The tea, food, desserts and ambience are wonderful. Highly recommend.

Yelp
They have gluten free pita bread. Everything about this place is unique and beautiful. When in Asheville it's a must go! I will be back every time.

Yelp
The best matcha and spring rolls I ever had and the sweets were so good too! Service was really helpful and kind of as well. The inside was really peaceful and welcoming and the prices were fair too!!

My boyfriend and I came here in need of a cleansing meal after consuming what felt like all of Asheville's biscuits over the course of 48 hours. So if you're in need of a healthy meal, look no further. We had some amazing veggie bowls and detoxifying tea that undid some of the damage we'd done over the weekend. Also highly recommend trying the hot chocolate! Also, the waiters are also great at suggesting tea that's right for you. I'm more of a coffee drinker, so they found me something nice and caffeinated for my journey.

Yelp
I love coming to this location of Dobra (rather than downtown), as they have an expanded menu of food and desserts, including their amazing kitchari and kale salad. The dessert case here is also wildly impressive and includes multiple raw, vegan and gluten free items. If you are new here, order the Forest Dragon. It's made from powdered Japanese matcha and Chinese jasmine green tea with rice milk, mint, cardamom & honey. It's definitely a treat & extremely delicious. It's served cold in a pint glass and is a great beverage for someone who thinks tea is not as cool as coffee. Often times, when I'm fasting, I'll come here for a bowl of kitchari to transition back into regular food. The flavor is subtle (as it should be), and you can get it traditional (with ghee) or with coconut oil. I also am a big fan of the desserts. Today, I tried the rice pudding with cardamom. It was very subtly sweet, so it tasted like healthy bowl of white rice with nuts & rose petals. I actually was pleased about that, since sugar isn't healthy anyway. The seating here feels more spacious and more well lit than downtown as well. I usually order the herbal teas, and they have some great blends listed in the back of the menu.

Yelp
Um. Yum. Stopped by on a Monday morning. I felt relaxed as soon as I walked in. I sat down in one of the fun little "sit on the ground" areas. Shoes off...yes please! I had a Masala tea and avocado toast. The tea came with honey and choice of milk. The tea was delish and the toast tasted like they had cut it from a fresh loaf of goodness. I felt like I could take my time reading about all of the teas. What a great morning just getting away from the hussle and bustle of life. This is my new favorite spot.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere, dessert, and tea! Everything I hate about American restaurants (freezing temps, loud, bright lights) was absent from this place. However, I thought the food was bland and a little tasteless. The dhal was very bland, and the yum bowl was pretty bland as well. Definitely a place I'd go again for tea and desserts. If it weren't for the food, I'd give it a resounding 5 stars. If I were rating the food, I'd give it 2 stars. I did love the vegan options, but wish the flavor would've come through.

Yelp
I want this is every city I live in - forever. If we can attach to a steam room/spa... I'm never leaving! From the selection of teas being massive to the staff being appropriately toned when asking questions or making recommendations, you know the whole place is built for tea filled zen I would love to see more of the diversity of the patrons reflected in the staff, but I was only there a few hours so I have a feeling a place that feels that good is also doing good by including all kinds! I left feeling renewed, recharged and full of good food and vibes.

Yelp
After hearing about the hemp CBD latte that you offer my girlfriend and I were very excited to stop in and enjoy a pot of tea. We arrived at 2:25pm and after 20 minutes no one had even approached us with the tea book or even greeted us. We wondered if perhaps we needed to order at the counter instead of seating ourselves. Being acknowledged even if we cannot be assisted immediately is incredibly important to my experience at any business, and unfortunately I am sorely disappointed by Dobra Tea West. After hearing such high praise I had very high expectations. I may try again, but it won't be anytime soon and it will probably not be at your West Asheville location. I promptly left a review on your Facebook page and got very unprofessionally trolled by the admin who runs your business profile: "Aren't you the same customer that stood in the middle of the tearoom on your phone Skyping and rapping to your friend in the middle of everyone's way? Sorry you had a bad experience but cmon already!" I don't Skype and I definitely can't rap- you are being rude to the wrong customer. Dobra, I expected so much more from you!
