Dobson and Parnell

The one thing that surprised was how quiet it was, granted it was Thursday lunch time but in my opinion the 2/3 course set lunch menu offers excellent value for money in a restaurant with a special atmosphere. Well worth a visit and combining with a walk along the quayside. FYI the creamy pic was creamed goats cheese with beetroot and candied nuts, truly delicious.

Visited here for the first time on restaurant week. We had it eyeballed for a while, and we certainly weren't disappointed. Welcoming staff, friendly table service, and no long waits in between courses. The food was absolutely delicious, well presented, plenty of it and there were empty plates from us 😋 Enjoyed the whole experience, clean and tidy, lovely relaxed atmosphere This place deserves all 5 stars, and wouldn't hesitate to go back or recommend to others. Reasonably priced, for the quality of the dishes on offer 👌 👏

Wow! This place fully deserves all the awards it has received. We had a late Friday evening booking (9.30pm) so it was quieter than earlier in the evening but the whole experience was fantastic! Very friendly service, unbelievably delicious food, great selection of wines, beers and cocktails. The menu was really varied and it was hard not to order every starter, main and dessert. Very good value for what we enjoyed - if this restaurant was in London the prices would have been double! All this capped off by the small excellent touch that they have heating for stored coats so you literally leave with a warm glow! Highly, highly recommended and congratulations to the whole D&P team!

Found this restaurant with really good reviews on internet and decided to give it a try. The place has a lovely modern atmosphere and loved the lighting design on the place with a bunch of floating bulbs. We when on the 28 of December so they were serving the Christmas set menu. I look for the description on the page but was not available any more. Both of the started we chose where quite good the beef tartar 10/10. For the next course I got the duck Wellington, it was really disappointed by a raw chewy duck. after sending the dish back I was corner to order the fish dish since “it was the faster to be prepared” with a curry sauce, nothing especial. For the service after I send the dish back (that I did in the must respectful manner) change so much, it looked like they didn’t wanna to come back to us and the restaurant was probably at half capacity. There was one young waiter with a nice attitude that I’ll aplaude his service. Maybe the tiredness of the end of the season didn’t help. I’ll come back to try the a la cart menu.

Dobson and Parnell had some great dishes however considering the expectations I was left disappointed. I had the beef pie which was dry. The starter of fish pie was excellent. The peas in both dishes were weirdly sweet in taste.

Fantastic Quayside eatery serving contemporary food in a relaxed setting. Beautiful dining room designed by the restaurant namesakes. Great choice of delicious starters, main and desserts. Friendly and efficient service and laid back atmosphere. The quality, presentation and menu choices were all superb. Check the website for promotions, fixed price menus and offers - we took advantage of restaurant week and cocktails and were not disappointed. Would definitely recommend.

I had a virgin exp voucher so i put it towards a three course meal with fizz for 2 at dobson parnell. Booked on IG as I had 0 reply on phone and email. Arrived at 12 and all really good, never been before so did not know what to expect. They took our coats and took us to our table. Explained the menu, opened the fizz and took our orders. The food we ordered (see images) was delicious, seriously impressed. Really tasty, had never tasted anything like it before. You can see why it is michelin worthy. I also like the desighn of the resturant too. Staff are really attentive.

Restaurant week x6 in our party. No bar area to meet friends prior to dining which is disappointing as I was early, had to sit outside, food very good albeit small portions. Service good but we were served by 6 different staff members rather than one or two. Would return.
