"Top Chef alum Kevin Gillespie’s Eastside Beltline restaurant and bar Cold Beer will soon include a walk-up coffee shop serving grab-and-go wraps and burritos several days a week. Gillespie is teaming up with Decatur-based roastery Docent to create the aptly named Docent x CB coffee shop, which takes over the restaurant’s walk-up bar under the covered patio area. The coffee is great! The Colombian coffee had just a little bit of fruitiness but mostly a dark aroma. The food was good, but it was lukewarm/bordering on cold (the cheese wasn’t melted in the waffle wrap 😕). They just opened, so they’re probably still figuring things out, and it’s a good coffee option on the Beltline.

The BEST coffee in ATL! I'm so excited that Docent has a physical location again. I'm a huge fan of the Ethiopian coffee, tofu breakfast burrito, and seasonal pastries. The physical space is great because you can either swing by while walking the eastside trail, or spread out and stay a while at a variety of seating options. I only wish I lived walking distance so I could swing by the coffee window while walking my dog every morning!

Had an amazing time checking out Docent on their opening weekend! The drinks were excellent, and they have a number of sweet and savory breakfast options (try the coffee cake!). This is in such an amazing location to grab a coffee while walking your dog (or yourself) on the beltline.

Coffee is astounding! Dog friendly patio. The grab n go menu has a ton of options; at least something for everyone. Definitely try the frozen Irish coffee and add the coffee brandy!

Coffee was amazing, best in ATL! Also tried the cinnamon roll, tasted amazing! Can’t wait to come back and try the other delicious sounding menu items.
