Dock & Claw Clam Bar

My new favorite place to eat on the island. Amazing service & delicious food. If you forget to BYOB, they have a really good selection of wines. Highly recommend the crab birria tacos and paella!

Dock & Claw is such an exciting place. The food is so flavorful and they always have different, delicious specials every weekend. The atmosphere is lively with bar stools at the heart of the restaurant and seats on the sides and outside for more intimacy. The staff are truly happy to be there and provide quality service even when the place is bustling and there is a long line of people waiting to get in the door. Definitely give this spot a try. You won't be disappointed.

Did take out and found it to be the best lobster roll on the island so far. The duck wings were excellent and the crab tacos As well. Certainly fantastic food on lbi

What an extraordinary little restaurant. As you approach, you can't help but wonder what the heck you have gotten yourself into. The building is kitchy as heck, the menu is a little short and abrupt, the dining space is tiny... but the staff are fantastically friendly, and the food is craveably good and fairly priced. I have a big appetite, and an appetizer and salad filled me up entirely! And what delicious appetizers they were. The Korean spicy duck wings are craveable, full of umami and gochujang... absolutely awesome and delectable crispy... I would go back now for an order. The swordfish skewers are the size of a dinner order of swordfish well seared and covered in an awesome chimichurri sauce. The actual raw bar items are delectable (even the cocktail shrimp are great!). Their designated shucker is hard working and he does a great job. Deserves every penny of "shucker's tips " which go in a separate container. The soybean soy salad was fantastic. The green goddess salad was admittedly a miss; mildly bland and difficult to mix the dressing on. The steamers are great! Overall an amazing experience. We went twice in 3 days. Remember it's BYOB. Their home-made hot sauce (for sale by the bottle) is both delightfully light and flavorful!

Food is fantastic. I got lobster roll and as you can see from the picture, how much lobster is in that sandwich. 10/10

This place is amazing. First off let me break down the atmosphere. It has a fish shack vibe with a modern oyster bar feeling as well, merging both worlds for a collab any vibe seeker will enjoy. Now the service. The service was spectacular we got the oysters within 3 minutes of ordering and our food within five perfect for an impatient person like me. Now that leaves the food. We had the burger which is a spectacular blend of great meat and a bun from Staten island and homemade pickles and one more surprise but you will have to come to see. If you go you know about the sauce. Edit: I love the bathroom it is perfect and even has sound and gold octopus GOLDEN FROGS TOO yet another reason you should go here they even gave me a free hat they are amazing here

Everything on this menu is insane. Easily the best meal my boyfriend and I had during the week on the island. Must try!! Not pictured: the snow crab (which was also amazing)

This place is really rad! The staff is super awesome and fun. The food is amazing and served in great portions. The entire atmosphere including the bathroom is just meant to make you smile. They even do a Polaroid of you to put up in the bar (if you choose). I will definitely make this a must go to when I’m in LBI.

We were told to use the QR code for the menu. I personally wanted steamed clams and that is why I was there. I also ordered the side of Mac and cheese. I originally wanted to get the fish tacos but was told it was too much food. Oh well- another meal in my future! They can sell wine but do not have a liquor license. The house white was not good. My friend got the clam chowder. I only tasted it but was very impressed with how flavorful it was. I got the clams and they did not disappoint. Lots of delicious broth and bread for dipping. The Mac and cheese was creamy too. Loved the French fries. Very casual eating outside.

The food is outstanding and not your typical snack bar selections. Really enjoyed the specialty oysters and the dinner special, Scallops over creamed goat cheese, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, pesto and balsamic vinegar. An extraordinary mix of flavors and combinations. I highly recommend! Also loved the upbeat atmosphere and excellent service by the entire waitstaff!

I'm not sure why this place has such high reviews, it's basically a small dive bar. Food is mediocre at best. we had crab birria tacos (greasy and bland), oysters (good), tuna tower (edible but would not order again), and the corn (good). Much better food in Beach Haven elsewhere. Loud rock music is playing, the bar is sort of moon shaped and takes up most of the room with couple of high top tables. If you want good food and a nice vibe where you can sort of have a conversation then this is not your spot.

Can't wait to visit again this summer. Went at the tail end of last summer, simply because I was scrolling on IG and saw their burrata & prosciutto salad. I grabbed my purse and headed over. Lol we had a very enjoyable meal, sat by the window. The place is small, very limited seating. Service was great, ambiance was very much a bar at the beach.

First time Back since the new owners, really love the vibe still. The fish tacos were bomb and the Korean calamari was really good. Definitely recommend this byob place!

Probably the best burger I've ever had. Great service as well and good vibes. Burger is smash burger style with special sauce, think Big Mac sauce but better. Fries are fantastic as well, everything is super fresh and hot. Note that it's BYOB

Had hesitated trying this place after having had so many memories growing up down here with Nell and The Clam Bar. I guess I just didn't want to be disappointed. Today we pulled the plug and tried Dock and Claw - my husband and I were really delighted! The clams on the half were so sweet and tasty and the shrimp cocktail was the freshest flavor ever. YUM! We ended up ordering a cheeseburger to share and the burger was a 10! Tastiest burger with yummy micro greens/arugula on top with a delicious sauce. I don't eat fries but my husband said they were amazing too. We brought clams and oysters on the half home for my parents and they were packaged beautifully and on ice to keep them cold. GREAT service here!! We will definitely be back and create new memories with this LBI gem! Thank you

This is an awesome spot in LBI. It's first come first serve and I would highly suggest sitting at the bar because it's fun. The servers are super nice and they are really good at their job. The food is so fresh. I highly suggest the shrimp cocktail and the mussels. The mussel pot sauce is incredible. Their fries are also super good. You can purchase wine or sangria there as well.

We stumbled onto this restaurant by chance and it did NOT disappoint! Great unique menu items. Friendly staff. Two thumbs up!

Ordered pick up! Food - mac and cheese is delicious and a nice portion. Lobster rolls were delicious and well portioned with crispy fries that were great. I wouldn't say they were something crazy and new but tasted great, fresh, and definitely the best I've had on the island. Crab birria tacos were very nice, wish there was a little more "oomf" of flavor on the inside. Duck wings were a can't miss! Service - quick and easy pick up! Called right at opening and was ready within 20 minutes. Ambiance - can't speak much to it since we picked up but parking was a bit crowded on a nice sunny day. *Pulled pork mac and cheese from the food truck was the best!

Had a lovely outdoor lunch here! My Lobster Roll was so good, as was the street corn. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the owner was super friendly and helpful. Totally recommend!

Creative dishes. The mac and cheese was fast and the burrata peach salad was one of my fave dishes we had on our trip. Kombucha was a bit too tart for my liking but delicious food overall

Don't normally give reviews, but this place was amazing! Service makes you feel like you're being served by everyone and the food is off the hook ;) highly recommend coming by here if you're in LBI

This is a fun spot. Not your typical LBI dining experience. The food is top notch. There are tables outside and some small tables inside, but the main set up is a large semicircle bar where you eat your delicious food. The staff is attentive and engaging. We sat at the large bar, chilled our drinks nearby in a large metal tub filled with ice. From the name you would surmise that it's mostly a seafood place but I decided to get the burger... This might be the best burger on the island. We also had the mussels , tuna poke, calamari and the buratta .. everything was well prepared. Fun spot. Check it out.

I don't give 5 stars ever! However, this is a 5-star place for me. It's like a 10-star for LBI. The service is great, everyone is super friendly and the food is consistently delicious! Love that it's BYOB. Fave place in LBI.

Highly recommend Dock and Claw clam bar that replaced Harvey Cedars Clam Bar. Kevin and Steve will greet you like family and they are proud of their restaurant The inside is bright and inviting with a new menu board, updated clam bar oval table and a cool painted nautical wall map. No more cell phone prohibition and they have QR code menus. BYOB The oysters - both local and PEI were well shucked, cold and the vinegar and home made hot sauce were right on point to balance the sweet oysters. The fish tacos were super flavorful with tender white fish, nice taco crunch and white sauce. My huge hot metal bowl of mussels were clean and tender with a great marinara sauce - best part was the crusty Italian bread for dipping into the tomato- mussel broth goodness. For next time, the double burger with fries looked good, clams looked fresh and duck wings are a must try. Most menu items are $15 to $20 with a daily special. Offer a lobster roll too. Great job!

Yummy casual fresh and chill spot for all ages (but probably more fun for 21+). Loved everyone including the patrons / shuckers. Shared the tuna nachos and I got the tacos - if I could have I woulda tried ordering the whole menu. Hibiscus kombucha was refreshing! BYOB.

DELICIOUS NEW spot in Beach Haven. Love trying all local seafood spots in town and this is a winner for sure. Super fresh local oysters. Po boy was unbelievable as well on a toasted buttered brioche. Must try if you're in the area. cool vibe too with the classic round bar top and good tunes playing too. Super friendly staff as well.

When you're in Beach Haven, give this place a try! The former "Clam Bar", under new ownership with a new name is sure to please. Co-owner Kevin was working the inside and great to chat with. No reservations; write your name on the chalk wall to the right of the door and wait for a table or seats at the bar. We had hoped for an outdoor table, but there were only four and folks looked pretty settled in. We opted for seats at the bar and were happy for the A/C and camaraderie. Appetizer was Tuna Poke Nachos. Delicious but a few more pieces of tuna would have been nice. The ratio of tuna chips was off. Next up was garlic and white wine mussels. A heeping bowl full accompanied by warm bread. Lots of garlic and delicious. Enough said. Blackened shrimp Po' Boy...shrimp were big and made it difficult to eat the whole sandwich. Needed to be cut to enjoy. Presentation was great, but not functional. The fries that came with it were enjoyed by all. Chorizo tostados were very good. Fish tacos are made with fried fish and the alternative is blackened shrimp. We went for the alternative but were disappointed that only two shrimp per taco were provided. It was very tasty but would've been better with three shrimp per taco. Aioli may have overpowered the mango salsa. Hush puppies were deep fried and served with honey butter. Seemed a bit pricey at $10 per order, with hush puppies to spare. We would've liked to have paid less and had fewer hush puppies. We appreciated the large buckets of ice for BYOB. The kitchen closed at nine but at 8:45, people were still coming and the joint was jumping. Review is mixed, but we really enjoyed it and want you to check it out. 5 Stars!

Finishing up our meal, I heard someone sit down and say "does it taste the same Without the fear?" A reference to the previous establishment where you took your life in your hands using your cellphone and you used to have cash only. The new decor is fresh and updated. It needed it! The owner is incredibly friendly, on top of it and working his butt of behind the bar. The menu is still fairly small, but so is the building so par for the course. Some new favorites to be had in the burrata bruschetta and tuna nachos. The mussels are an old favorite and still just as good. The kids food - the burger and chicken fingers aren't just for kids, it's not crap, it's actually good quality stuff. The two things I miss are the fish tacos (the new ones are fried fish which aren't really my jam). I wish they'd introduce a nice grilled or blackened mahi taco but there is enough I love on the menu that I'll live without. Also the scallop melt. A super odd delicious LBI landmark dish, would love to see it hit the menu. It's still byob, still a U shaped bar and outdoor seating. Still a great place to go for some solid food.

We finally got to Dock & Claw Clam Bar and it didn't disappoint. We got burrata bruschetta and street corn apps - both were awesome. Bruschetta was super fresh and the street corn was absolutely loaded with flavor - best street corn I've ever had. My wife, who doesn't love corn, said next time we should each get our own so we don't have to share it For dinner we got blackened shrimp tacos and the mexi-cali crunch salad with chorizo. The tacos were a little bit of a mess but worth every bite - but somehow the salad was the star of the show. When I tell you this was one of the best salads I've ever had.... Huge portion, dressing was killer, chorizo was fantastic (not too spicy so my wife loved it) and they had peanuts that they roasted and tossed in hot sauce (again, not too spicy) that added a nice crunch. We will be back for sure, I can still taste that salad and it sounded like their burgers and po boys are worth trying too. Service was great, they were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. We sat outside with our pup who they had a fresh bowl of water for. Only knock is that we couldn't order drinks with dinner, so next time we'll come prepared. It's not cheap, but nothing is on the island and especially not in beach haven. The portions were generous and we both left there happy and full

Stumbled across this place during MDW and we were so lucky!!! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was great despite the crowd, and everyone was so friendly. For a small place during Memorial Day weekend, we barely waited. think it's also byob it had just begun so we didn't realize until we got there. Maybe we got lucky but we are definitely going back!!

Exactly what a clam shack is supposed to be. Everything is shucked right in front of you. BYOB with tubs of ice for beer and wine. Owner is a cool dude also.

Excellent food. Oysters were delicious. Duck wings were meaty and spicy. Summer salad was out of this world and the shrimp poor boy is a must try. BYO but they have wines by the bottle or glass.

Formerly the clam shack where the world's strictest proprietor would kick you out for being on your phone, this local has reinvented itself as a smart casual restaurant with exceptional seafood and a nice ambiance. Main recco is put a swinger thing on the bathroom door so it slams shut on the natural, so nobody eating need look at the toilet.

Excellent service and absolutely delicious food! Love the vibe, great atmosphere and playlist! Staff were lovely, it was our first time, sat outside and after just a few minutes the skies opened, staff quickly found space for us inside and served our food seamlessly.

Amazing food and great vegetarian options despite being a seafood restaurant. I ordered the Mexi-Cali crunch salad and tuna tostadas and they were so flavorful and refreshing. The lemonade was also surprisingly good and obviously freshly squeezed. This place deserves more attention!

I usually don't post reviews but I have been here a few times and feel like it is my duty as a long time LBIer to spread awareness. The food is absolutely fantastic! My favorites include the duck wings, Cesar salad, clam steamers and ALL of their specials are always delightful. My favorite special was the shrimp ceviche! I am still thinking about how great that dang ceviche was. The service is fun and the ambience is casual. Perfect for an easy meal after the beach. Throw your name on the chalkboard crack, open a cold beer or bottle of wine and get ready for an authentic LBI night! Special shout-out to some of the employees there who always make our evenings unforgettable- Kevin, Maria, Steve, Grace!!!!!! Dock and claw is a must visit if you are in the area :)

They're the new Black Whale or Delaware Ouster House. Best clam chowder on island! Food is good but catering is a mess! One time catering replaced an item without telling and delivered too late to say no. Second time they forgot and while they delivered food it was an hour after food was supposed to arrive. Bottom line is they are for shoobies and not locals

We could not have asked for a better experience our first night in town. A party of 12, we were graciously accommodated without delay -- teens outside, adults at the raw bar. The tuna nachos were outstanding! We ordered another after polishing off the first, along with little necks, oysters and the burrata bruschetta. The fish tacos were also a big hit. The atmosphere was low key and the service was excellent. We have already scouted out what time they open tomorrow and will definitely be back!

This place is legit. One of the owners named Steve is an English gentleman and couldn't be a nicer guy. We had a lobster roll and shrimp Po boy sandwich and they were absolutely delicious. They also came with crispy and fantastic fries. I highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back.

Must try new restaurant!! Inviting and unbelievable menu of local and comfort recipes. Lobster roll, Mexican street corn on the cob, fresh tuna poke bowl all perfect 10's. Terrific owners and staff that really care about your experience.

Just what we were looking for! Nice casual vibe - kid friendly. Jumbo Jenga was a hit with my grandson while we waited for our table. All our food choices were great. Sorry - no photos. We were too hungry!

While biking around the island, we ended up at this eatery, myself, my partner, and my 17-year-old son. I was immediately greeted by a friendly server and seated outside. I would definitely recommend their seafood, i.e. steamed clams, New England clam chowder that is among the best I've ever had, and some of the most delicious fish tacos I have ever had as well! The only downside (shame on me, I did not do my research, enough) was that they do not serve any alcohol except wine. So remember to bring your own cocktail of choice to this establishment, enjoy the sunset over the bay, the fun divey bar, and the wonderful service!

Kevin and Steve have created a perfect place for locals and visitors to go to enjoy excellent food, a relaxing and inviting atmosphere and an overall perfect "beach" experience. Wear your t-shirts and shorts; ride your bikes and bring your own wine and/or beer for a laid back, friendly and fun time as you try to choose from the tried and true menu options. They know what they're doing and it shows!

The food is delicious! We enjoyed the service and the place is cute and casual. And it's BYOB!

I had the Korean calamari. It was very tasty and delicious with hints of spicy Korean sauce. The wait staff is tentative and friendly. The are also knowledgeable about the food offerings.

Stellar food and even better people running the spot. Kev, Steve, Maria, and the crew deliver delightful meals with a cool out beach vibe.

The clams were bitter & tasteless! I ordered oysters as well & they only had one type of sauce! We stopped there to try the clam chowder was 5/10!

Food is absolutely incredible.. chef absolutely kills it. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Highly recommend the Mac & Cheese, may be the best one I have ever had.
