Google
Absolutely ADORE getting a super tasty lunch from here! I usually go for the Lobster Grinder or the Lobster Grilled-Cheese. But today is my first time trying the No Roll Salad and I believe I found my new summer favorite!! Extremely flavorful but still light, and they always have a wide range of hot sauces to choose from to spice things up. Love this place!

Google
Man I hate this but I have to give their “Fish n chips” special thumbs down 👎! No seasoning on the fish at all the breading was gummy and the side salad over dressed! We order the fried lobster, and where was the lobster! Stuffed with what appears to be cream cheese I think 🤔. Being from the Northeast when you think about fried lobster it’s just that , chunks of lobster lightly breaded and deep fried, definitely not this. We’ve tried in the past the lobster rolls which are great this just misses the mark!

Google
Ordered the lobster roll with fries and it was delicious! Definitely recommend if you are in the area, it's a cute place!

We had an absolute blast at Dock Local! With a sea of food options around, we were pleasantly surprised by what they brought to the table. Kudos to the folks in the kitchen for keeping it real with gloves and sticking to the protocols – safety first, right? Our order was a mix of flavors: fish and chips, some crispy chips, and the flavor-packed garlic shrimp taco. The food was more than delicious; it was a flavor explosion! Every bite was a taste adventure. If you're the type who craves some extra heat, their house hot sauce and mango habanero are like a firework show for your taste buds – just the right level of spiciness we crave. Guess what? This wasn't our first rodeo here. Yep, we've been back thrice already and trust me, we're far from done. Next stop: exploring the uncharted territories of their menu. The staff? Oh, they're basically foodie friends now. Super friendly, they're like culinary tour guides, always ready with a suggestion, be it a special of the day or their own personal favorites.

Get the garlic lobster fries!!! You won’t regret it!! Super fast service and such a fun place to be.

Google
I really enjoyed my meal! The man that served me had a sense of humor, and he was very nice. I ordered the Lobster Grinder and wow! So many incredible flavors all married together on one little bun! The lobster meat tasted fresh and rich, and the slightly acidic cucumbers cut the richness and added the perfect depth of flavor. I did get one tiny piece of shell... but that happens sometimes. That's just how it is. The price point for the Lobster Grinder I felt was also great! Lobster is traditionally expensive, and there was a LOT of lobster on that roll! For $14, with tax about $16, I got a lot of food. I would definitely come back again and try some other menu items!

Google
The food always amazing and the service extremely nice and friendly.

Google
We got the garlic lobster fries and it was absolutely delicious. It's a big order of fries and perfect to share between two people. There wasn't much lobster in the fries though.

Amanda M.

Yelp
love this place! Lobster grilled cheese is amazing. Best in Texas will definitely come back

Christina H.

Yelp
I ordered the Local Roll for $25, which included the monthly roll crafted by guests and the culinary team, a fountain drink, and kettle chips. I assumed it would be a lobster roll, as all three rolls on the menu were lobster, excluding the single Shrimp Po Boy. However, when my order arrived to the table, I was disappointed to find out it was a Shrimp Roll and felt cheated. The Shrimp Roll aka Local Roll was nothing spectacular. It tasted like a grilled shrimp po boy lathered in sauce and topped with bacon bits and chives. If I ever return, will definitely try Dock Local again and stick with my intended order, a Maine Lobster Roll and will update my review.

arjun r.

Yelp
0 would be the review if I could. A place that serves lobster rolls and such I expect a lobster grilled cheese and advertise lobster to have real lobster. I expect Long John Silver's to advertise Lobster and give me langoustine. First half of the sandwich tasted unusually fishy. I opened up the second half and looked at the "lobster" pieces. I had bigger crawfish. I've never said food is shit, I want a refund but this is the first time i was seriously tempted. They also offer a dipping sauce of the lobster bisque. No meat, super sweet. Chips are thick cut like a mandolin slicer and have various level of doneness. some very raw.

Sarah N.

Yelp
Love this place because they always stuff the roll with a ton of filling and the lightly buttered bun is such a great complement to it. It's a bit pricey but if you're looking to treat yourself to a lobster roll (and you're not in Maine) then I would definitely recommend Dock Local. The sauce and the housemade pickles are definitely a welcome plus as well! It's a little hard to find seating during the crowded times at Legacy Hall but when it's not, sitting in the Lexus garden enjoying your meal is fantastic!

Candy R.

Yelp
I love dock local! Every time hubby and I come to legacy hall to eat this is our first stop! There portions are huge here compared to cousins and other seafood spots in Vegas where we're from. You definitely get your moneys worth! His favorite is the lobster rolls, he dips it in fresh butter and its chefs kiss. I love the lobster bisque, lobster grilled cheese and the seasonal crawfish platter, which they always have around Madi gras! They are all so filling, this is the best food spot in legacy hall imo. The service is always friendly and quick, don't skip Dock local when you're in Plano!

Paula C.

Yelp
Located right inside the legacy food fall, this fun little spot has lots of seafood options, fast efficient service, and a friendly staff. Loved the fish and chips that came with shoestring fries. It came with 3 large thickly battered fish which was crispy and flavorful. Coleslaw was just meh. Also came with hush puppies and shoestring fries. Overall a good experience.

Caroline K.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night and the service was quick! I got the lobster roll with shoestring fries. I've never had lobster before but everyone's plates that ordered it looked amazing. I realized I don't love lobster, but the flavor and the bread roll were so good that they made up for it. The amount of flavor on the dish was great for a quick service restaurant. I would definitely come back and try something else.

Alex V.

Yelp
Slightly on the expensive side but well worth the price. I had the crab legs on national crab day of course... seasoned well and cooked to perfection, accompanied with corn, potatoes, sausage and shrimp one could easily be intimidated by such a feast. Needless to say it was delicious. Service was prompt and efficient and due to its location offered a great atmosphere for those wanting to just hang out and chill.

Chanel B.

Yelp
OMG! Have eaten here twice and told everyone about it! Love Love Love! Never heard of or had lobster grilled cheese! Love the area as well. The cashiers are always nice. Will return!

Luz C.

Yelp
So we attended "So That's What I Call Brunch" and I was under the impression that Dock Local was going to have brunch. I waited in line and I asked the cashier if they had the Shrimp & Grits like the poster said. They said they didn't serve that anymore. Ambiance was okay, it's inside of a cafeteria style setting.

Steph K.

Yelp
The lobster rolls were so good! The staff were also nice and knowledgeable of the menu with suggestions. Legacy hall is also such a nice area, we enjoyed the food while watching tv on all the screens! Only con I have is that the roll was a little small compared to other lobster rolls we've had and was $25 for the warm roll

Theresa C.

Yelp
Sunday night dinner. Not too busy. Ordered the Connecticut Lobster Roll and Chip and Chips. The lobster roll had lots of crab claw meat! So good and tasty! The Fish had a good crunch and I actually like the shoestring fries. This place never disappoints.

Phil P.

Yelp
Dock, local and lobster. Not exactly words you'd expect to be connected to each other in Dallas, but what a great meal. Wife and I ate lobster tacos. Small street tacos but loaded with lobster meat. Right amount of meat for the price in my opinion. Meat was a little overdone making it a bit chewy but flavor of the lobster and the taco as a whole was very good. Tried a smokin salmon taco as well. Again, great flavor for the overall taco. Nice heat in the sauce. Good amount of fish on taco though the fish would have been better if flavored in some way (smoked or seasoned). Service at counter was friendly and food delivery was prompt. Noisy in the food hall. Few tables downstairs available but more seating upstairs.

Jessica L.

Yelp
Lobster Overload!!! Dock Local does EVERYTHING right! Delicious lobster filled entrees for days! It was a cute spot with some high top tables with stools and a nice little bar area. Our server was attentive and kind! What I ordered: Lobster Grinder- Lobster on Lobster tossed in mayo inside of a split top buttered roll. The simplicity of this dish made it possible to really appreciate the flavor profile of the lobster. Fish and Chips- Flaky cod fried to perfection! The batter was airy yet crispy. Lobster Grilled Cheese- Oh my goodness this was perfection!! Crispy buttery bread, dripping with lobster meat, creamy gouda cheese, and Sriracha. Grilled cheese royalty. Terrapin Slider- Delicious crab cake sandwich with tomato, bacon, pesto, and a delicious house sauce. I'm so happy I visited this gem, and I can't wait to return to one of their many locations. This foodie highly recommends!!

Ed T.

Yelp
Pros: 1. Lobster and crab sandwiches were good. What's notable is that there was a lot (some places really skimp), so the ratio of lobster to bun is very good. 2. Grilled cheese sandwich was tasty. Cons: 1. The lobster nachos had too little on top. It was mainly a huge pile of chips and then some sauce (not enough) and not nearly enough "stuff" (lobster) on top. Also it wasn't layered so only the top few chips have anything on them and 85% of the chips have nothing. And because we got more chips with our other dishes, we just had wayyy to many plain chips everywhere.

Maggie K.

Yelp
Love love this place! If you haven't tried this gem at legacy hall, you're a loser. I tried the lobster grinder and it was delicious. The crab meat was tender juicy and tasty. Even the bread was so so good, buttery and soft! The food came out in less than five minutes and I didn't even have to wait long. So the service here is a five star. Definitely it's a transit ambiance and can't expect anything more.

Michael D.

Yelp
Delicious Ultimate Maine Roll while waiting for the dozen Steamed Blue Crab I ordered, that we're steamed in Miller Lite and Old Bay. Succulent Mayonnaise dressed Lobster, topped with seasoned shrimp. Must try. I shelled 11 of the Blue Crab, (had to eat the 1st one), to make Blue Crab Fried Rice on my Blackstone. Much check out Dock Local at the Legacy Hall location.

Janine H.

Yelp
Wanted the hot grinder but they decided to give me the chilled roll. Can't complain because it was very tasty. Now I have to go back to try the hot one though. Maybe this was their master plan all along LOL

Valerie S.

Yelp
We were traveling back to DFW from a casino in Oklahoma and wanted to grab a bit to eat before arriving at the airport. We are all seafood lovers so we decided on Dock Local. I wasn't quite sure how the set up was. From maps it appeared to be in a shopping area but didn't realize till we arrived that it was in a food hall. Regardless, it was a great set up! Lots of different types of foods to choose from in the hall. Some seating downstairs, but majority of seating is upstairs. Dock Local was great tho! Tasted fresh and flavorful. The queso was real good with the chips. I will say that the sourdough and the bread that goes with the grilled cheese could of been toasted longer but both the roll and grilled cheese was good. Glad we got them! I will definitely keep Dock Local in my 'likes' on Yelp! FYI: a large free parking deck is located behind the hall.

Renisha S.

Yelp
Dock Local is the only thing I eat in Legacy Hall. Not saying the other food isn't good, but I am saying this one is the best! I eat at Dock Local once a month because I am a seafood addict and they literally have the freshest around. I also follow them on Instagram so that's what keeps me in there so much because I see the new items and have to run to try it. Everything is good on their menu...trust me I've had them all. But, my all time favorite menu item is the crab queso and Connecticut lobster roll. The Connecticut roll over all the others simply because it's served hot with no Mayo and that's my preference but all of the other rolls are just as good. Also go to their website and sign up to be vip that's how I know about all the specials.

Mario I.

Yelp
I asked this lady for a spoon so my grandchild can enjoy her ice cream. She would not give me one because I DID NOT buy food here. Needless to say, there's no chance I will ever buy food from this place. It's just a spoon, lady!

Elexandria R.

Yelp
A bit overpriced but there are very few options to get lobster rolls in the area. They wouldn't offer mayonnaise on a roll that didn't include it. There wasn't salt available.

L V.

Yelp
Nope. Nope. Nope. Spend your money somewhere else. First, the men working in the kitchen were not wearing gloves and standing around putting food into their mouths while they were preparing food for customers. Why didn't I immediately leave? I had already paid and was really craving a delicious lobster roll. Second, our food (2 Connecticut lobster rolls, 2 orders of crab dip with chips) came out looking totally thrown together. Third, the lobster meat was TASTELESS. I couldn't even pick up my roll because it was completely mush without me even adding butter (see photo). I picked out the lobster. The crab dip was zesty, but honestly, I wouldn't order it again. Of course, I won't be returning, so of course I won't be ordering it again. Fourth, I brought my mush to the counter to inform them I couldn't even pick it up, but all I got were stares from the kitchen men and an apology from the cashier. Fifth, this mushy tasteless meal was a whopping $77.50!

Tori J.

Yelp
Probably the best loaded fries I have ever had ( garlic lobster fries). The lobster grinder sandwich was also devine. loooved this place so much I can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
My daughter & I stopped in on a Wednesday afternoon in January that just happened to be a beautiful, sunny day. I've only been to Legacy Hall once before and didn't see this place or I would have tried it sooner because I LOVE lobster. I was drooling over the packs of lobster the young lady showed me when I asked just how much lobster they put on a roll. I'm not a big fan of a lot of bread and don't usually eat my lobster meat that way, so I asked questions. She was totally fine with my questions - showed me the pre-portioned lobster meat in bags, so you get the right amount each time. She also told me they were made fresh, so no tough or soggy bread to worry about. My daughter is on some keto diet, and mentioned she was disappointed not to see salad on the menu. Someone from the back told the young lady they would be happy to make any dish on the menu into a salad for her. We went out to the courtyard & sat at a table, but I realized they didn't give us a pager or anything so we would know when our order was ready. My daughter went back inside & waited for it. When she brought the trays out, I wasn't disappointed - it was a small roll and it had lots of meat inside! There was a tiny cup of thinly sliced cucumbers in a dab of dressing or mayo. Like I said, I don't usually eat my lobster on a bun, so I ate that separately, lol, not much of it there, anyway. The meat was tender and juicy & so yummy!! The bread was really good, too, although I tore most of it off, lol. Oh, and there was a little cup of drawn butter for the most delish finishing touch. My daughter really enjoyed her salad, and ate almost all of it. We also ordered a lobster mac and cheese to share, but were too full to eat more than a couple of bites. It was good, but I'd rather not eat any lobster out of a plastic container. But, I get it - it's a food court... Lobster is one of my treats that I don't often get for myself. I prefer it in a 4-star restaurant, but honestly, this place didn't disappoint! And what earned it the 5th star was the wonderful customer service. I definitely noticed it & tipped them, even though I already knew they don't bring our food to us. I will come back because of it. Keep it up - good management = good attitudes. Here's what this casual take-out will cost you: $60.78 (with tax+tip) $24.95 - my lobster roll made the Connecticut way $17.50 - my daughter's salad made the All-in Knot way $8.95 - lobster Mac The smile on my beautiful daughter's face - priceless :) Go check it out and enjoy the professional, courteous service!

Danica A.

Yelp
My sister & I got the Maine & the Grindr with some chips & queso...it didn't disappoint! This is a pretty good place to satisfy your lobster roll craving. Other pluses - the staff is friendly, & everything is made to order

Doyle K.

Yelp
The Legacy Food Hall is a big place with a ton of amazing options for people to choose from. However, there is one place that I've been to several times that is jus consistently amazing every time, and that's Dock Local. I've tried a couple things here but my favorite is the Maine Roll coupled with the New England Clam Chowder. I've never been too much of a chip kind of guy so I couldn't really care less about that. The New England Clam Chowder, I won't say it's the best I've ever had but it is definitely cut from a different cloth as opposed to most of the competition. It doesn't necessarily do anything different compared to most other Clam Chowders, but the ingredients are better and the slightly different spices taste better. As for the Maine Roll, it's really out of this world. It has to be my favorite Lobster Roll down here in DFW, able to hold a candle to some of my favorite spots in Maine/Connecticut/Rhode Island. They don't skimp on the meat either, which a lot of lobster roll places do. They really stuff it full of the good stuff, which is something to be appreciated. Definitely worth a stop by over most of the other places at Legacy Hall!

William L.

Yelp
Out for our wedding anniversary and decided to call an audible to the plans we had. The Lobster Grinder and Lobster Bisque was great! Definitely a great start to the anniversary shenanigans!!!

Iris R.

Yelp
Great, fresh food with friendly customer service. Several reviewers complain about the price but I'd have to say it was worth the price for the amount of food you get. Definitely give it a try.

Kacie D.

Yelp
The spot if you want quick & delicious seafood chowder. Food: We grabbed a Clam Chowder & a Lobster Bisque. They give you a handful of kettle chips to enjoy your soup with. The Clam Chowder was a tad too salty in my opinion. The Lobster Bisque had a slightly sweet undertone that I surprisingly really enjoyed. Overall, both soups were delicious, flavorful, and filling. Definitely will be back to try their crab queso & lobster rolls. Environment: I'm in a love-hate relationship with the whole food court concept. It works great if I'm grabbing a drink at one of the bars or I'm grabbing quick finger food to munch on during one of the events they hold. Yes, I am well aware Dock Local has zero control over this and I'm not blaming them at all, BUT - just let a girl complain. For this specific day, I hated it. I wanted to eat my soup right then and there while it was still piping hot, yknow?

Kim H.

Yelp
Really tasty cute place. Friendly service. Enjoyed it all - Main style lobster roll, New England clam chowder, and key lime pie.

Lee Ann B.

Yelp
The fish and chips were totally sub-par... between the actual flakes of fish and the crisp outside layer of batter was... well, I can only describe it as slimy "goo". Not sure of their cooking process b/c the flakes of fish were done and the very outside layer of batter was done, but it was slime in-between. The fries were okay at best. There was no mustard in their condiments section/area - they do not offer it - and the tartar sauce was semi-liquid. My husband got a $25 lobster roll and while he said that it was good, it was fairly tiny in size - more kid/child size than adult size. And it came with nothing. Side note: The music at Legacy Food Hall was cranked up sky high - on a Sunday early afternoon. It was absolutely deafening and certainly played a part in our overall negative experience. We will not return to the Food Hall at all... for anything.

Mila H.

Yelp
I usually make reviews based on service but I must say I've been craving a lobster roll only to be disappointed. Ordered "Lobster nachos" which should be "Lobster CHIPs". Top looked great but I would have passed had I know it was on a bed of potato chips. Lobster bisque soup and tasted like milky tomato soup with a piece of lobster and bacon. Lastly the Connecticut roll...mayo and potato's on Texas toast. Glad I passed on ordering the $24 and $27 main lobster rolls....and we are still hungry bc we didn't like all the chips.

Tmod C.

Yelp
Looking for somewhere different seafood wise for date night and found this local gem! We were recommended the dynamite shrimp, garlic shrimp soft taco and lobster garlic fries. Food was tasty, hot and fresh! With the added bonus of fresh Asian style slaw and homemade chips, delicious

Vic D.

Yelp
Lobster Rolls are the way to go. Came here on a Saturday and it wasn't as busy as some other places.. Those people are missing out! Got the lobster grinder and clam chowder. Meal came with chips and pickles. giving 4 stars bc of the price but food itself was good!

Lindsey C.

Yelp
I decided to try the Lobster Grinder while I was at Legacy Hall and I have zero regrets! The bun was nice and toasty and filled with huge, delicious pieces of lobster, that had such a rich and buttery taste. It's served with cucumber slices (not pictured), and it complimented the roll so well. I personally don't think the picture does the lobster roll justice. If you're craving seafood, check them out!

Skye B.

Yelp
Most definitely some of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. The service was quick and super easy to order. The food hall is such a fun place to eat and it just has such a great vibe.

Paula P.

Yelp
Visited here this weekend because Ive been craving a Lobster Roll. I dont usually give reviews, but I was so disappointed that I just had to. I paid $27 for 5 Potatoe Chips and some Lobster meat that was not good at all. I ordered the Connecticut Roll, isnt it suppose to have some mayonnaise or something? The Bun was a miniature bun, (very small). I should of taken a picture but I was so upset I forgot to. I could of went to Red Lobster and got a platter for the same amount of money and been happier. It was just not worth the money that I spent. Overrated in my opinion. Just my opinion from someone who visited.

Sunny D.

Yelp
Stopped by this restaurant before going to a concert at Legacy Hall. Hubs and I both ordered the Connecticut roll. The pieces of lobster were large and generous! The bun was toasted and warm. It was served with a cup of melted butter and homemade pickles. We both felt that we got our money's work with the portion size. Looking forward to trying some other items on the menu in the future! Nice job Dock Local!!!

Beryl D.

Yelp
Second time eating here. The first time, I got the Connecticut roll and fries. This time, I got the Lobster Grinder (cold lobster roll) served with chips. Both rolls are delicious and you can't go wrong with either!

Shalise G.

Yelp
If you're reading this because you're trying to decide if this is what you want for lunch/dinner, just go. This food was sooo damn good. I've been seeing this all over my foodie timeline and finally decided to go. Wow. I wasn't disappointed with ANYTHING. The guy at the counter walked us through the menu, told us his favorite(s), customer favorite(s), best ways to order it (with special ingredients/without) and MORE. I hate I didn't catch his name but he really did well with engaging us as the customer! He ordered the lobster grinder roll + fries & a drink. I did the lobster grilled cheese (because the guy at the counter sold us with his amazing description.) Nonetheless, it took us about 6mins to get our food, which was nothing. That first bite... I was in awe. The gouda cheese with the sourdough bread... with the crab queso!? Goodness gracious, why are you even still reading vs ordering?! lol Need I say I'll be back??

Jon P.

Yelp
I don't have food pics. I couldn't wait. Three words: Garlic.Shrimp. Taco. Add the Mango Habanero hot sauce, squeeze the lime wedges, and your troubles somehow fade. This gem in Legacy Hall DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! Tim, the Gen. Mgr was there. He was so nice and took my order. I found out that they have a bigger spot in Dallas with a more fuller menu. Definitely worth the trip. I work in McKinney, but going across the city, parking and walking to get the shrimp tacos is totally worth the trip.

Bob P.

Yelp
For $18, you get a sandwich that has a couple of tiny pieces of what might be lobster, some shrimp, and a large dose of mayo, on a piece of bread, and then a tiny cup of sliced cucumbers. Then, good luck finding a place to sit if it's a busy night, which this was. We won't be back.

Amanda J.

Yelp

Lauren T.

Yelp
I am so excited that Dock Local has joined the delicious ranks of Legacy Hall. They have the most fantastic and fresh lobster rolls, and would easily compete and win with any lobster roll in New England! Huge pieces of perfectly cooked lobster are nestled into a buttery, toasty bun. Just, wow! A description and picture does not come close to doing this amazing culinary experience justice. Stop what you're doing, and go right now. It comes perfectly packed up if you order it to go, so you can zip in and out if dining in isn't your thing just yet. I also order the scrumptious shoestring fries - skinny, crispy and delicious!! They are served with an amazing dipping sauce - I would eat the sauce by itself it's so good. They have a pretty good sized menu - I'm sure everything else is great as well! Give them a try, you will not regret it!

Bobby B.

Yelp
I had the Connecticut, it was luke warm and small and the chips were stale. The Lobster Fries were pretty good and the lobster grilled cheese was alright, but not great. This place is average at best and not worth the price in my opinion.

Ashlynn R.

Yelp
My husband and I were buying some furniture near here and had seen Dock Local on IG and wanted to try it. I was expecting a restaurant but it's located inside Legacy Hall. The only way to describe this place is like a food truck park without the food trucks. I had the Connecticut roll and he had the Maine roll with fries. Everything was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Tyesba C.

Yelp
Food was made fresh to order my fiancé and I had the lobster grinder , and queso food was delicious 10/10 def recommend

Ashley N.

Yelp
Located inside Legacy Food Hall! One of those restaurants where you order at the window and find a place to sit. $25 for a roll & we were somewhat filled. Nothing special but if you're craving a lobster roll this will do it.

Jasper S.

Yelp
I tried the All-In Knot with a side of Pickles. As far as taste goes I was totally satisfied! The seafood in the All-In Knot was fresh and seasoned well. I loved that the bread in the roll comes toasted. The side of chips that came with the Knot had an amazing texture with a homemade feel. The pickles were easily the highlight of the entire meal. I was skeptical about the solid black pepper pieces that were included, but they actually added great flavor. Seriously don't sleep on this place's pickles. My only complaint is that for a meal that cost over $20, I wasn't really full after I ate here. This is definitely more of a special occasion "Treat yo' self" place than a regular lunch spot. Which is totally fine: just know ahead of time you'll still have room for dessert.
