Perched under the JFK Causeway, Doc’s pairs sunsets with fresh Gulf plates and even cook‑your‑catch. Featured in Southern Living, it’s beloved for breezy decks, live music, and reliably good shrimp, flounder, and tuna tacos.

This was our favorite place by far on our visit to the area. Yes, the food was phenomenal, and the atmosphere was great!! But the service was beyond 5 stars. Our server, Lauren P. made our experience here exemplary! She was so attentive, friendly, and informative to all our questions. Made our visit more memorable and fun. We chose to go with the two different fish options that were caught that day. The cooks here clearly know what they're doing, as our food was delicious. They had a live singer performing near the front door in the bar area. Below the restaurant if you have a long wait (which is worth it!) Is another bar area you can enjoy and pass the time. If we ever get to come back to visit the area, this restaurant will be on top of our list.

Everything about Doc's is great! The views, the food, the service...there's nothing you won't like about this place. You can sit and watch boats travel the Intracoastal waterway while you sip on a great drink from the bar and enjoy some amazing food! Prepare yourself though, this place can get really busy in the evenings, but if you stop in for lunch, you'll have a better chance at getting a table quickly. This is one of my favorite places to visit in Corpus Christi.

Google
Great restaurant, food and service were friendly and fast. it’s a very busy place and the 45 min wait went by fairly fast with a few drinks from the bar. I only recommend them adding some ceiling fans or something to help with ventilation on hot humid days. It’s on a dock so it’s all basically outside which is ok but the floor fans weren’t as helpful on this particular. Look forward to visiting again and highly recommend

This is our new favorite place to eat in Corpus Christi. The food and service were both amazing. I highly recommend both the Clam Chowder - which rivals that from New England. Also the clam strips - a dish that's oddly difficult to find - were buttery and delicious. Our server was excellent. We were there on a Saturday evening and there was live music with a talented performer. The view is great! We will definitely be back the next time we are in town!

Google
Three smiling women at the door to greet you behind the counter. Also, to let you know how long the wait will be right off the bat. You don't have to worry because we only waited a half hour. You are given a buzzer to let you know when you will be seated. So have a Margarita and relax. It's a very open ampospere with good views. My wife had the parmesan crusted blackened redfish with a shrimp creamy sauce 😋 absolutely delicious! I decided to go with the Wisconsin cheeseburger, which was also delicious. The service was great, very friendly staff. We hope you enjoy your meal, we did and it was well worth it!

Oh my god is this a great place to eat or birthday dinners. The staff are so professional and have a great sense of humor. We had a lot in our party and everyone love their dinners. With a real island decor showing local surfers at their best. Nice deck overlooking the intercoastal waterways. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Google
Definitely recommend! The seafood here is incredibly fresh! The seafood lover platter (all fried) is crispy and not greasy at all. The clam chowder is creamy and clammy without being overwhelmingly fishy. The ceviche is super fresh with avocado and jalapeno to compliment the seafood, the chips that come with it are thin and super crunchy which we loved. The stuffed flounder has a crawfish sauce that is to die for! Hack: If the line is too long upstairs, order at the togo window and find seating downstairs. The crew will bring the food down for you, you get a great view of the water, and get to relax by the water listening to live music. Doing this cut our wait time from an hour to literally 10 mins. We sat downstairs and as we were talking about how they'd find us because it was so busy, they came in within 10 mins of us ordering. The food is great, the views are great, the staff is incredibly friendly. The prices are pretty good for the quality and quantity, we spent $100 for two people ~ 2 appetizers, 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts.

Google
First time diners, The Server we had wish we could remember his name it has been a few days since we ate there but would have given him a shout out, he was amazing and the service was 10 🌟 star all around, as for the food cooked well but very dry, the shrimp was our favorite but the rest not so much was hoping for a better seafood experience as it being our first date night in Texas coming from another country from Alberta Canada, but maybe we will come back one day for a different not so deep fried meal. But again service was legit the best 👌 will repost once we meet him again one day.

Yelp
Great food and great atmosphere! Our waiter was really friendly and fast. Live music was playing when we got there, they had 2 different bands while we were there

Yelp
ally was one of the best servers always keeping us laughing and having a good time 10/10 would come again !

Yelp
My husband and I were in Corpus for a summer getaway, and Doc's did not disappoint! Is there a long wait? Yes. The closer you get to sunset, the busier it'll be. Is it worth the wait? Also yes. We came around 6/6:30, knowing there would be a bit of a wait since it was getting closer to sunset. They're notorious for the sunset views. There was live music inside the restaurant, and the singer was extremely talented. (My husband isn't a live music person and commented on how well the singer was doing.) Our waiter kept the drinks coming, and my husband and I ordered the catch of the day. It was incredible. There are a lot of menu options if you have dietary restrictions. I can't have gluten, so I made some modifications. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
My wife and I love this place! We both got the tuna tacos and they were excellent, additionally, I ordered the Dos a' rita which is a frozen or on the rocks margarita with an upside down Dos Equis in it. We both really enjoyed our drinks. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere was even better! I look forward to coming back to this joint When I return back to the corpus area. Highly recommend!

Yelp
We came in as a party of four around 12:45ish on the Fourth of July, and got seated outside, probably didn't even wait five minutes honestly. Even with it being the holiday, it was busier inside than it was outside, but still quite a few open seats everywhere especially considering the time that we came in. We ordered the Fourth of July special, Blackened Flounder with Avocado Baja Sauce + Pico, and then regular menu items of Clam Chowder (small bowl), Coconut Shrimp, Fish and Chips, and the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp. For Gluten-Free, the Flounder was safe to eat, and the Coconut Shrimp was safe to eat, but got the sauce on the side. They said that there were supposed to be coconut flakes sprinkled on the shrimp, but it seemed to have only been sauce on the shrimp and that's it, disappointing for what you would think of 'coconut shrimp'. The Fish and Chips had a good crispiness to the fried part of the fish, and had a good flavor and level of saltiness with it. The potatoes were good, so adorable since they were all different sizes. The beans were also surprisingly good, not too crunchy but not too soft, and really well seasoned. Our waitress did a really good job making sure our drinks were refilled, we can drink a lot of drinks, and she was super friendly, so it was fun getting to chat with her while we were there. I believe her name was Rebecca; she was super friendly and a great waitress. Even the manager of the restaurant was friendly, but ended up having issues with the prepaid cards (such a rip-off for small business restaurants). Definitely will come back here if we ever come down to the coast area!

Yelp
Doc's Seafood & Steaks was the place my brother saw on the JFK Memorial Causeway Bridge (which becomes Hwy 358 headed towards Corpus Christi) and told our group of 11 he wanted to have dinner there. Once again, another long wait for dinner, but not quite as long as they estimated. I didn't know which area to choose, but downstairs was packed so I headed upstairs to get my name on the list. After dinner, my dad complained, "They had a shrimp boil special downstairs." Everyone seemed to enjoy the food - even my vegetarian (sometimes pesco-vegetarian) sister-in-law. I wasn't crazy about the live entertainment that night (June 20, 2025), but I have heard much worse. It was hard to carry a conversation because it was fairly loud most of the time. Our waitress was great, but of course I don't remember her name. The manager came by and checked on us - he was friendly also. It was refreshing to see more than just fried seafood on the menu, so here's what I ordered: + grilled coconut shrimp + Doc's paloma RATING BREAKDOWN Food: 4 | Service: 5 | Ambiance: 3 | Price: 4

Yelp
Our server, Rachel, was amazing! Consistently stopping by to see if we had what we needed. Started with peel and eat shrimp. Dined on stuff flounder (3/5) a little dry; Fish tacos (5/5); Crab cakes (4/5) Nice atmosphere sitting in the deck overlooking the bay.

Yelp
Easy and fantastic! When I arrived I learned that it would be an hour wait to dine inside but they have a fantastic super easy to go window where you can place an order and they will bring it to you outside downstairs which is where I really wanted to sit anyway? The food was delicious and could not have been better. I've had coconut shrimp many times but not grilled the way they prepared them and I really enjoyed it.

Yelp
Went by the reviews and decided to check this place out. I was a little disappointed in the food overall. We started with chips/salsa and that was really good! I got the seafood lover meal which was all fried shrimp, flounder, and crab cakes. I thought the overall seasoning was lacking. It all was just battered/fried, no flavor. I'm glad I had tartar/cocktail sauces. Wife got the 12oz ribeye. Flavor was good but definitely not worth $38. Lastly, son got the tuna tacos. He liked em so that was a win there. Our server was good and friendly. Not sure we'd return for the price we paid ($120 +tip) and not really blown away. I was kinda let down after saving our last meal on the island going here.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere! Great waiter.... Shout out to Grant! Oyster apps were good...... can't ever go wrong. Coconut shrimp was delish!! Doc's yard bird..... the flavor was great! Chicken was moist.

Yelp
Doc's Seafood & Steaks is a legit spot if you're looking for fresh seafood and an amazing atmosphere! The service is superb and our entire family loved the experience! We're definitely coming back!

Yelp
Stopped in on the recommendation of a friend. Did not disappoint. Food was delicious, service was excellent. Had the Tuna fish tacos. They were loaded down and well worth it. Kids selections were plentiful for a family visit. Sat on the balcony and enjoyed the bar parking show. Live music was a nice touch. Will be back on our next visit to Corpus Christi.

Yelp
The food is fantastic. I always go for a catch of the day with a tropical cocktail. Service is quick and friendly. A casual stop with incredible views. A beach trip isn't complete without Doc's!

Yelp
We stopped in for a Valentine's Day snack between doing a "Selena Crawl" (museum - Mirador de la Flor - Selena's Star on the Texas Music Walk of Fame) in Corpus and heading to Horses on the Beach. We loved reading about the restaurant history and Doc's military accomplishments. We only ordered a beer, Mermaid water (great), the ceviche appetizer (good), and the shrimp po' boy (awesome) w/fries (really good). We wish we could have eaten more but we were pressed for time and afraid to eat too much before an hour and a half ride. If we get to return, I'm definitely ordering their fried shrimp dish. The lady next to me ordered it and it looked delicious! The shrimp were huge! Our waitress was friendly, helpful, and very attentive. If we make it back to South Padre, we'll definitely have to stop in again and try more menu items.

Yelp
First time visiting Corpus Christi, and we wanted to check out a local spot--Doc's Seafood & Steaks. The location had a nice vibe, and the view was great, which set high expectations for the food. I ordered the Seafood Platter with Flounder, fries, and hush puppies. The fries were definitely the highlight--hot, crispy, and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, the hush puppies were overcooked and dry, which made them hard to enjoy. The biggest letdown was the flounder. While it was cooked properly, it lacked any real flavor or seasoning. I was really hoping for something more flavorful, especially at a seafood-focused restaurant. Also, the only hot sauce options available were Sriracha and Tabasco--not ideal if you're looking for something more traditional or with a better flavor pairing for seafood. Overall, the experience was just okay. Great location, gorgeous view of the ocean, and solid service, but the food didn't quite hit the mark for me.
google avatar

Sara P.

Yelp
Not truly dog-friendly -- very misleading. They advertise as dog-friendly, but unless your dog is a service animal, you're not allowed to sit upstairs or even order food from there. We were told to go downstairs to order and eat, which was frustrating and embarrassing. Nowhere on their website is this made clear. If you're going to promote a dog-friendly space, be honest about the limitations. Fix your website and stop misleading customers.

Yelp
You HAVE to come here to see the unrivaled sunset views. So beautiful. We sat upstairs in the deck. There was live music The food was delicious. But the drinks were waaaaay too sweet. Service was not bad!

John G.

Yelp
I visit Corpus Christi two to three times a year, and every trip includes multiple meals at Doc's. It's hands down my favorite waterside seafood spot--quintessential coastal dining. The food, service, and atmosphere are consistently excellent. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive, and I can always count on finding a fresh, flavorful fish dish--either on the main menu or featured on the specials board just inside the front door. Oh, and while I'm more of an Old-Fashioned or bourbon guy, their frozen margaritas are a must. Don't skip them! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
google avatar

Silvia S.

Yelp
We had a great time! Loved that there was live music and a beautiful view. We got there just in time for the sunset. The bacon wrapped shrimp, fish tacos, green beans, potatoes were absolutely amazing.

Yelp
A return trip to Doc's was overdue - by 3 years, but luckily, we finally made it back this weekend. After 3 years, their food quality has remained consistently delicious, maybe even better than before. I ordered the fried shrimp Platter and just made a pig of myself. Every bit of the fried goodies on my plate was eaten - even the French fries, and it was huge serving! My wife still does not like eating seafood and opted for a burger - just like before. Our other eating buddies ate the fried shrimp platter as well and we were all gobsmacked happy! And yes, the fried cheese curds from Wisconsin appetizer was delicious as well. The service was excellent. All these young and energetic servers were friendly and well-trained. Their smile was contagious and were efficient to serve the food and drinks. Both young men and women who worked there were pleasant looking. The colleges in the area must be a good source of workers for this restaurant. They employ a bunch of these kids. The restaurant was jumping when we were there. Back in late 2021 when we were here last, the pandemic was still keeping people from eating out. Not this time - the parking lot was packed just like the tables in the restaurant. Overall, the ambiance is as good as I remember. The view of the bay is outstanding. The view plus the excellent food, that's a combination that's hard to beat. This restaurant has now joined my own personal of must-go restaurants I have curated through the years of eating out!

Joseph N.

Yelp
Awesome vibes, staff was very fast and friendly. Food was great. Wife and I have been there 2-3 times in last couple of months. This is a regular stop when we come to Corpus Christi
google avatar

Jacob T.

Yelp
The waiter we had was fantastic - quick and attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu and drink offerings. The restaurant was loud but it was due to the live music, which was excellent. The food was below average. I had the shrimp po' boy, which was fine. The sweet potato fries were very good. My wife had the bacon-wrapped shrimp which were not great, especially for the $26 price tag, and the rice and vegetable side was horrible. The beer was good but nothing was on tap - everything was brought in a can with a chilled glass. Overall the experience was below average and if not for the live music we would have had a 100% negative experience. We will not return, especially when a superior competitor is literally within walking distance.
google avatar

J. W.

Yelp
Our waitress Ally was amazing! She had a great personality and made dining at Doc'a fun! The food was amazing and always is very tastey there! Only thing I would say is that food took a while to come out, but they were slammed busy.
google avatar

Brianna P.

Yelp
Food and service were amazing! We've eaten at a few on the water restaurants in this area and this one is by far the best! The view was great. We sat in the middle of restaurant and was still able to see the water! 5 out of 5!
google avatar

Daniel G.

Yelp
Long wait time and the food is not horrible but very sub-par and not worth the wait and definitely not worth the price. Tourist trap 100 percent. Very upsetting to not have a better meal than just going to a fast food establishment. Basically a Bubbas but 2 to 2.5 times the price and poor care to the food. Had the chicken fried steak, overcooked, over breaded and dry. Potatoes were actually great and staff were also. Food, no and there were 5 of us, not one was pleased with the quality on price. Go to a local place here. Cheaper and better.
google avatar

Annalisa M.

Yelp
Finally got to try this place, went for lunch about 1130 am right before the lunch rush on a Friday, got a perfect table with the best views! We had quick and friendly service and we were all definitely happy with our food! The fish was perfectly fried and crispy, shrimp was so big and plump, and it's the Tartar sauce that completes the meal for me and this one was great! Overall great fish and shrimp place with great views, we'll be back for sure!
google avatar

Jim P.

Yelp
Fair for a Gulf Coast Seafood Restaurant. It is very hectic and makes a quiet meal not possible. Not much ambiance. Shrimp seemed fresh but I've had better. Wait staff did a good job with our big crowd.
google avatar

Stephen L.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town for a work conference and this place was recommended by some of the local attendees. Place was pretty busy for a weekday and they had some live music playing as well. Overall, Food was good, but it did take awhile to for our food to come out and our waiter was practically nonexistent. He claimed it was a busy night and they were short staffed. The most positive thing I had were the hush puppies.
google avatar

Claudia G.

Yelp
We had an area in the outside bottom level reserved for my nieces wedding. The size was perfect, food and music were great and the view was beautiful. We had a great time and although it was a hot summer day, they had fans going and the layout of the restaurant allowed for the breeze to flow. We had a wonderful time.
google avatar

Dallin B.

Yelp
It was really good the waiter liked my uncle's hat, he was nice. The green beans were really good, I haven't ever had better ones. The potatoes were yummy. The meal was large. It has cool seats with open walls. The chicken was better than hill country fare, it wasn't too salty. They gave us to go boxes too.
google avatar

Candice L.

Yelp
Doc's is our must stop each time we're in town. We've even driven down from San Antonio just to eat here. My parents request to go each time they visit, as well. Being right off the water, you can literally stand at the dock and watch the fresh catch of the day being unloaded of the boats directly into the kitchen. You'll also see pelicans and other seabirds gather around this time, too just waiting for someone to drop a tasty fish. The entire back of the restaurant is glass that opens to the outside sea air so no matter if it's nice or stormy, you can watch the wildlife and sealife in and around the canal. The drinks are strong yet tasty. The food is wonderfully fresh and well prepared. R special each day had never let me down. The service is always so friendly and attentive. It really is just a joy to be here. Oh, and try the house made salt scrub provided free in the bathroom. Your hands will thank you!

Yelp
Doc's Seafood and Steaks is a restaurant that I always visit when vacationing in Port A. They have a building right on the beach and the restaurant is on the second floor and have the most beautiful ocean views. This evening there was live music and a musician was playing guitar and singing some rock songs. The windows were open allowing connection to the outdoors and opportunity to enjoy the ocean. I ordered my regular dish of shrimp brochette or bacon wrapped shrimp that comes with green beans and rice. Also we had the fried shrimp with fried and hush puppies. The service was good and attentive and the food was delicious.
google avatar

Taufiq H.

Yelp
Noel was our waiter. Absolutely amazing such good service. I could only hope for. And the food was awesome. Well priced drinks really good stuffed crab stuffed flounder, and chips and salsa was an amazing starter/side. The south has a combination of pico de gallo and regular salsa. The kids menu is pretty nice too
google avatar

Liz H.

Yelp
This was our first time visiting Doc's and we were pleased with the visit. For appetizers we got hush puppies, the egg rolls, and giant pretzel. All of which were very good. Our meals were bacon wrapped shrimp, fried shrimp, cheese burger, peel and shrimp, and crab stuffed flounder. Over all the food was very good. My father in law was a little let down because he visits there often and the bacon wrapped shrimp were tiny compared to all of his other visits. The service was amazing. We will be back.

Jacob A.

Yelp
I have now had the pleasure of enjoying Doc's twice. Both time I ordered one of their specials , both were local fish dishes and to say they were good is a gross understatement. The food is amazing, the staff and service is top notch, and the restaurant itself self over looks the water. This restaurant is the total package.
google avatar

Krystal B.

Yelp
Came here during a work trip. The best part of this restaurant is the view and family friendly vibes. I was able to snag a table near the window just in time. They had live music, but it was so nosey you could barely hear him. My jalapeño margarita was phenomenal! I had the stuffed grouper and added on fried shrimp. The fish was overcooked, crab stuffing was unpleasantly fishy, green beans were over cooked, and sauce was bland. Shrimp was the best item on the plate. The seafood queso was tasty, just a little on the thick side. The oysters were not great. The service was great and it's evident its family operated, I was happy to support a local business while in town.
google avatar

D T.

Yelp
Both service and food were really good. I highly recommend the seafood salad and coconut shrimp! There was a really long wait though, wish they took reservations for larger parties.
google avatar

Kara L.

Yelp
This was a great experience! We had a very large group (19), but they were welcoming! Got us settled in a reasonable wait and our waitress was terrific! The food was really great - I had grilled coconut shrimp that was delish! Usually I only see coconut shrimp fried, so the grilled was cool. They had a wonderful sauce and grilled peppers and pineapple with - highly recommend!
google avatar

Donna M.

Yelp
The food was awesome. We had three different meals including the seafood queso. It was all delicious! I absolutely loved the bacon wrapped shrimp and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp was the best I have had. It was not fried. The service was great and we were in and out quickly. It was a great view and I hear a wonderful sunset if you are there during that time.

Ashley D.

Yelp
We had dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday, and I cannot say enough good things about our server, Joy. She was truly phenomenal from the moment we sat down. She was warm, genuine, and made everything feel so lovely and celebratory. My mom felt special the whole night and Joy even sang Happy Birthday with us! you could tell she really cared and wanted to make the evening memorable. It's rare to find someone in hospitality who brings that kind of heart to the table, and I'm so thankful we had her as our server on a night that meant a lot to our family. Thank you, Joy! You were the highlight of our dinner!
google avatar

Taylor H.

Yelp
Let me start off by saying how fabulous our waitress was. She memorized the entire catch of the day menu and told us with no problems. VERY IMPRESSIVE! She was quick and stayed in top of things. The food was amazing. I got the friend shrimp and my husband got the Parmesan crusted fish. We sat by the water and there was also live music. I would definitely return on our next visit down here.
google avatar

Yelp
On her Birthday we did go out for Breakfast, but I'll skip all the way to her 'Birthday Dinner' at "Doc's Seafood & Steaks", Tuesday Night, which overlooks the Bay and was recommended by several Foodies when I inquired about where to eat. We arrived at "Doc's" and walked up a lot of stairs in front, were greeted by the Hostess and shown to a table that overlooks the Bay - nice view but we decided to back up a bit and sit more inside for more shade - but it still had the same view. Doc's is like eating at a Huge Covered Deck on the second floor - it is Open Everywhere with fans blowing to help keep you cool creating a nice breeze. Beth is our Server and we ordered our drinks. Beth stated that they have no Draft Beer any more, but do have some good choices. My Wife and Joe are having Miller Lites and I'm going with a Hefenweizen. While we waited for our drinks, we looked over the Menu and enjoyed the view. Beth stopped by and we chatted about the menu items and North Padre itself and informed her it's Nancy's Birthday and we are out Celebrating. Our drinks arrived and we toasted to Nancy's Birthday - Happy Birthday Baby. Now it's time to order. The Birthday Girl is having their "Grilled Coconut Shrimp"; Shrimp, Pineapple & Red Bell Peppers drizzled with Pina Colada Cream Sauce & topped with Toasted Coconut. Served with Doc's Rice & Fresh Seasonal Vegetables. Joe is having the "Fried Shrimp"; Eight Hand Breaded Shrimp in Panko, served with French Fries, Slaw, & Hush Puppies with Tartar Sauce & Cocktail Sauce available. Joe also ordered an extra Slaw. I am having their "Yellow Fin Tuna Tacos"; Three Grilled or Blackened (chose grilled), med-rare, with Shredded Cabbage, Avocado Baja Sauce, Pico & Mango Aioli. Served with Doc's Rice & Fresh Seasonal Vegetables. Nancy saw the Dessert listings and was interested in the "Fried Cheesecake"; (it's Texas, they fry everything in Texas) Cheesecake wrapped in a Cinnamon Tortilla, Fried and topped with Vanilla Ice Cream & Chocolate Syrup. She informed Beth that's what we want for our Dessert. Orders are in and it's time for more Beers. Doc's is getting a little busy but our food came out pretty quick - and each plate is filled with a Very Nice Presentation of Deliciousness. My Wife's 'Grilled Coconut Shrimp' is served on a couple of skewers - nicely surprised. Cannot tell how many Shrimp are on there due to the Coconut Covering of both Skewers. She LoVeS Coconut Shrimp and said that these were really good and is a different way of enjoying one of her favorites. The Asparagus was their Vegetable and we both agreed that this Asparagus was some Perfectly Seasoned and Tenderliciousness. Their Rice was also Very Fluffy and Flavorful. Joe liked his Fried Shrimp, was Tasty and a Nice Crunch. My 'Yellow Fin Tuna Tacos' were a surprise for me. I LoVe Tacos and Fish Tacos are something really special - and these 'Yellow Fin Tuna Tacos' were in a catagory all by themselfs. First of all there is a lot inside each of these Tacos and they are the Most Flavorful Fish Tacos of any kind. HUGE is an understatement - these things are Monsters. They suggest 'Med-Rare' and I debated on that and was going to aks for 'Medium', but their suggestion was Perfect. We all enjoyed what we ordered and now it's time for Dessert - the 'Fried Cheese Cake'. Beth stopped by and we requested the dessert and she said that Nancy will also get their Birthday Dessert, the 'Key Lime Pie'. Okay, that sounds great - ya gotta love two-desserts. In a couple of minutes Beth brought out both Desserts, and the Key Lime Pie one was served with 'Happy Birthday' all around the pie. This was a Beautiful Presentation of Dessertliciousness - Nancy is Very Happy. Don't know if the size of the 'Fried Cheese Cake' is the same or not, but we have Two Fried Cheesecakes with a large scoop of ice cream. The Fried Cheesecake is really good but when cutting through the Fried it messes up the Cheesecake - but the flavor is still there - a nice Crunch of the Fried and the flavor of the Cheesecake is Very Good. Now for that 'Key Lime Pie'. You hate to mess-up all that Beautiful Dessert & Writing but one must do what one must do - and we did. This Key Lime Pie is one of the Best you will Every Enjoy. I am not a total Key Lime Pie Person, but this one is The BEST. Strong on the flavor, fluffy yet thick - don't know how they did it but the texture is Perfect - and that Crust. This is One Amazing Key Lime Pie. We had a great time at Doc's Seafood & Steaks Celebrating my Wife's Birthday. Doc's was a Great Choice - Thank You Foodies. Beth was great and earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for going 'above-and-beyond' the norm. Check them out on Facebook. If you are ever in North Padre Island, "Doc's" is a Must Stop - the Food is Really, Really Good Stuff. We returned to the Condo and enjoyed more Beach Walking, the White Cap Waves and picking up seashells. It's a great time of year to Celebrate

Yelp
ambience was cool, live entertainment was nice. the fries were pretty good. that was the good part i got the "ragin cajun burger" and was met with a dry bland burger with ridiculously cut tomato and onion, literally uneven chunks of vegetables shoved into a burger. the poblano sauce and fries was the only redeeming factor we also got the queso, ceviche and cheese curds as appetizers. queso and curds? 8/10 it's cheese what could go wrong. the ceviche however, quite literally a bowl of par boiled shrimp smothered in cocktail sauce.....not ceviche in the slightest. service was ok. super friendly staff, very slow service. but it was crowded so definitely giving grace there. to top it all off, do not come here if you're expecting A/C. i'm sweating buckets waiting for mediocre (not to mention overpriced) food. the restaurant has fans dotted around the room and yet it's like i'm still at the beach boiling. I feel bad for the staff, their backs are DRENCHED in sweat and faces red. bathrooms extremely dirty and toilet barely flushed. no further comment i see the potential and the homey vision behind it, but our experience today was anything but positive. give those servers a raise for 10/10 attitude.

Yelp
Absolutely phenomenal meals. Steak was cooked to perfection and I had the Parmesan crusted redfish on special and it was fantastic. Service was great as well

Yelp
Service was flawless. Restaurant had a beautiful view of the water. The strawberry basil lemonade was made with all fresh ingredients. We got the watermelon tuna appetizer, catch of the day (Parmesan crusted redfish with green beans and rice), and the seafood lover. The green beans and rice were delicious. The appetizer was nice and light. The fried shrimp and French fries were the star of the seafood lover platter. Would definitely go back. Still thinking about that strawberry basil lemonade 10/10.

Yelp
Visited Doc's for the first time for my hubby's birthday and had a fabulous and romantic luncheon. I had the ahi tuna tacos and was stuffed and took two of them home. They did not scrimp on the serving. Hubby had the crab stuffed flounder for $28. He loved the sauce on it. We also got the Chocolate Tres Leches cake. I was going to take a photo, but we got it to go. Ate it, then remembered I should have taken a photo. The service was wonderful. The waitress was very pleasant and answered all of our questions, sorry I forgot her name. We had a great view as well. Would love to come back in the evening to eat while the sun is setting.

Yelp
A locally popular tourist trap. Everyone we talked to while perusing the beach area and checking into our hotel while on Padre Island suggested this place. Very popular and very busy that just got busier as we visited. We were craving a steak and seafood so this place made sense. We ordered the New York strip and grilled shrimp was accompanied by some red potatoes and green beans. Everything really tasted fine and was cooked correctly and to order. Flavors were there and the amount of food was more than sufficient for the two of us to share. Service was adequate but nothing special. Atmosphere was decent, but seemingly touristy. It's all about the view. So stop by but also consider other establishments in the area. This can't be the best food around. Dicks

Yelp
Location is 20/10 you can catch a beautiful sunset there with some good HUGE drinks! Seafood was delicious but a bit on the pricier side. Waitress was a sweetheart and explained the menu for us. Will come back!

Yelp
Food was gross and the service was average. For a tourist trap bar I would think they would try a little harder to please their guests. We arrived 1/2 before closing so I get they wanted to close, however they sat us so they should accept we will be there as long as it takes. Due to the massive amount of mosquitoes they had a fan blowing and turned it off during our meal. We were eaten alive. I had the Caesar with added shrimp and it was just okay. For a SEAFOOD restaurant - they didn't have many fish options. Just yuck. Find somewhere else to eat.
