"At Dodie’s you can add crawfish to the salads, quesadillas, and multiple pasta dishes, or have ‘em in the crawfish etoufee. It also offers crawfish in its boils when they’re in season — and this year its got a deal where a $1 domestic draft beer comes with every pound you buy." - Courtney E. Smith, Amy McCarthy

"For more of a family-friendly scene (er, except on the major drinking holidays when it becomes a full on party), head to this Greenville Ave. spot. Happy hour lasts from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and the regular menu has local favorites including blackened seafood nachos, Natchitoches spicy meat pies, Cajun tamales (lump crab cake stuffed jalapeno served fried or grilled), and an array of gumbos." - Courtney E. Blackened Red Fish bussin! Service and the vibe is definitely a mood. Favorite place to watch sports, and hang out in D! Owner made us round of drinks, and hung out for few minutes. Made the night. Coolest guy, and regulars are chill af.

We were in just after lunch on a Tuesday. We hadn’t been in to Dodie’s since before the pandemic. I’m pleased to see it is still operating. But, the food was not good today. The boiled shrimp appetizer was incredibly overcooked and tough. The pretzel appetizer was hard. The server was not happy to see us, and not at all attentive to us, even though they weren’t terribly busy. When our entrees were served, it was pretty apparent that they had been sitting for a good while. And to top things off, our server neglected to bring our slaws and salad. Not the best experience we have had at a place that was once in our top 5 favorite places to eat. Lesson learned. Don’t go in after lunch. Wait until dinner.

This place is sooo cute and i love the rooftop patio with the music overlooking Greenville. I got the boudin balls, oyster Rockefeller, and the Monica pasta with the spirila noodles (shrimp). The balls are 1 star, we didn’t eat 1. Tasted a pice and left them. The oysters were just ok. The cheese looked like it was there but it wasn’t cheesing and the sauce (i think garlic butter) wasn’t saucing at all. My daye said they tasted undercooked and refused to eat them. The pasta tho!!!!! Came out piping hot but when it cooled down it was seasoned to perfection, you could see the cheese pull when picking it up, it was delicious!!! I would go back just to try different menu options but the atmosphere alone was enough. Parking is to the right of the building on the side street.

I walked in and had on sweats and a cap... I said it was my 1st time there and didn't receive anything about what might be great on the menu... The only waitress looked at me as if I was foreign. She made no conversation with me, but did with other guests. The food was amazing!! But I am a first timer and enjoy the full dining experience no matter what I had on and I felt rushed by the bartender. The service sucked and they didn't even ask me to return or have a nice day for that matter. I went Sunday afternoon.

Dodie’s is pretty tasty! & service was stellar I was in awe when Melissa our server handled all our orders meticulously and even had the exact to go orders on hand for every DoorDasher that came through the door ! Blackened redfish , the Boudin balls, & grilled seafood tamales were so good!

Great ambiance with outdoor seating. Waitstaff is amazing and very attentive. The food was delicious. Gumbo had lots of flavor, but my favorite was the blackened seafood nachos.

The food was great tasting and the service is prompt. I used to go there in the past and the bourbon glazed salmon is one dish that never dissappoints. Also the cajun wings taste amazing. Their drinks are ok, not great but decent and fairly priced. Be aware of the change in menu, the old menu is still available on google, to get to the current one, have to get on their website. A lot of the old dishes like fried calamari or the seared ahi tuna are not included anymore.
