My husband and I visited for the first time on a Saturday morning around 9:30 AM. When we arrived, we were the only guests, which made sense since they had just opened at 9:00. A man and woman were inside. The man asked if we were picking up or ordering, and I replied, “We’d like to eat in.” He then pointed to a tablet on the counter where we were to place our order.
After ordering, we noticed all the stools were still stacked on top of the tables. I hesitated, expecting someone to set up seating for us, but that didn’t happen, so my husband and I took the stools down ourselves. The sunlight was very bright at the tables, so we moved to the bar counter instead.
The man working asked about our drinks and explained that the soda machine wasn’t ready yet since they had just opened, offering canned sodas instead. While I understand we were there within the first half hour of opening, I feel that being ready for customers is an important part of running a business.
We ordered breakfast burritos, which came out quickly and were generous in size with good flavor. However, the music was very loud for a morning setting — not really my preference, though perhaps that’s the vibe they’re going for.
Overall, the food was decent, but the customer service felt lackluster, and I didn’t feel especially welcomed. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one missed the mark. I prefer to spend my money at places where both the food and the service are good. I would not return.
