Dog Haus

One of the best hot dogs I have ever had. Not sure which is better, the dog/sausage, the bun, or the toppings. Each of them stand out yet they all harmoniously come together for a flavor explosion in your mouth. I usually do not like mustard but this one complimented the sausage very well. The interior is super clean and organized and the staff are very friendly. Overall great stuff.

The food was really good. The best bratwurst hotdogs we've ever had. The parking is a little tucked away, and we found it after we were leaving, unfortunately, but the inside of the restaurant is cute and perfect for lunch. Will try to visit again if we are in the area.

I haven’t been here in a while and always remembered this spot as being really good. I ordered a macadamia nut white chocolate cookie, cheese tots and cheese burger sliders. The cookie was delicious and above average. The cheese tots were solid but the best were the cheese burger sliders with the Hawaiian bread. Solid bun flavor and meat seasoning. I highly recommend it if you don’t want to go big on their burgers. I’d definitely come back again to try their other items.

I have never experienced such horrendous customer service in my life. We went to Dog Haus, sat on their outdoor patio, which had no indication whatsoever that it was closed (no chairs upside down, no signs, nothing). Out of nowhere, some extremely rude man (possibly the owner?) storms out and kicks us off the patio in the most disrespectful and unnecessary manner. No courtesy, no explanation—just a terrible attitude and an outright dismissal of paying customers. If this is how they treat people, I can only imagine the disregard they have for their food quality and hygiene. I wouldn’t give them another dime if they were the last restaurant on Earth. Save yourself the trouble and spend your money somewhere that actually appreciates its customers. One star is too generous.

This was by far the best hot dog I ever had in my life. I got the old town dog and it was amazing. The bacon had a nice crisp to it and the Hawaiian roll it came it tasted great. The fries were crispy just like I asked and I was definitely recommend. I can’t forget about the cookies. I got chocolate chip and it was nice and moist. 🔥

First time to Dog Haus and I was treated to a very hearty cheeseburger and loaded tater tots. It was a lot of food! The staff was nice. There's adequate seating both inside and outside and a parking lot.

The food was amazing the atmosphere was warm and friendly and the service was good. Im not much of a hotdog fan and asked for a basic dog with ketchup and mustard since it wasn't a menu option and they did it with no problem. The chili cheese tots were a definite order again. They use a cheese sauce instead of melted shredded cheese.

Literally bought food here with my buddies and the owner/front desk person rushed to kick us out. Legit said my patio isn't open for you. So we got up. Legit spent money and getting kicked out is wild. If this is how they treat paying customers just imagine what they do to their food. 0/10 If I could.

First time eating here and pleasantly surprised by how good the food turned out! The Tex was extremely well balanced, with a slightly spicy sausage covered in crunchy coleslaw, flavorful pickled jalapeños (not spicy) and a sweet pickled pepper on top, all within a perfectly toasted Hawaiian bun. The Holy Aioli sliders were juicy and had the right amount of onions and cheese that wasn't overwhelming. The tater tots were super crunchy! They could have used some salt right after coming out of the fryer, but dipping them in ketchup did the trick. The location felt like a bar and had plenty of seating available with Windows that looked out onto the street. Ordering was super easy and we happened to be there during happy hour, which gave us $2 off the sliders.

First and probably last time here. Came in for the Cheeseburger Week special that starts today (2/23 to 3/1) and the cashier was completely unaware of it. No problem, except he got worked up about it so quickly, within minutes, to the point where he made a phone call asking, presumably his manager(?), for help saying we were yelling at him (no one was yelling...). He became very rude and it took 20 minutes of putting up with his snarky comments (e.g., "You can file a complaint with corporate") before he figured something out. The cherry on top was when we added a kid's meal to our order and we pointed out the menu's price was $8.99, whereas they were charging us $10.99. Frustrated, he scoffed at us before making the adjustment marked as a discount. We were honestly not even upset. Had he said he couldn't make it work we would've just ordered something else, but the cashier taking out his stress on us is not something I'm putting up with again. The burger was actually really good, hence the 2-star review. But the rude, short-tempered service is enough for us to stay away. Shake Shack is offering $5 cheeseburgers this week, save yourself the few bucks and attitude.

Are you craving for loaded hot dog? Are you looking for good quality happy hour food? This is the right place for you no doubt. Cool and welcoming dining environment. Staffs are friendly. I got their famous cowboy dog, the smoky bacon is so flavorful and topped with crispy onions. It's just so delicious and satisfying.

Stale breads. Overcooked till carcinogenic hamburger meat, so, so dry and crispy. They charge money for ketchup and mustard to go packets! Sweet potato fries overcooked, dark, crunchy, not flavorful. This USE to be good food. These past few years they have been terrible!

Love this spot. Jay is always so cool, friendly, and helpful. My food is always on point as well, so shoutout to the cooks.

Dog Haus offers tasty vegetarian sausages (Impossible Brat) in addition to excellent variety of other meaty sausages and burgers. My kids especially like the "love boat fries" with their customized cheeseburger. The Dog Haus on Hill St has a good atmosphere but I typically pickup my order or have it delivered. My orders have always been accurately filled and on time. Street or parking lot available.

I come here a lot and was excited that they finally have a rewards program. However, their self ordering system can't scan the code and they can't do it at the register either. It can ONLY be done via app. (Or so the man at the register said. The coupon screen said I could scan the code or give my phone number when ordering at the register...) I tried to ask if I can use it on the self ordering and also order something "off menu" - his response was "I don't know". From the looks of it, he appears to be the manager - I've seen him before running before, checking on things. How can you have a new system but not know how to use it just in case your customers have questions?! And if you know the rewards program doesn't work in person, then maybe putting up a sign? New systems suck, I get it. But knowing that it doesn't work, the least he could have done was been a little more empathetic. Or maybe throw in a 5% discount or even a free dipping sauce. SOMETHING! I would have been a lot more understanding. I'm heavy on customer service and very disappointed today. The food may be good but I'd rather give my business somewhere else where they're a little more personable and understanding. Good thing there's another Dog Haus in Pasadena!

It's good every once in a while nothing wrong with the service or food whatsoever. Me personally I'm not a huge fan of Hawaiian kings bread as the Burger bun. I enjoy the bread on its own, personally. Again, every once in a while, this place is good, but it's not something I would come back to regularly for my taste. Things can add up rather quickly everything you see here cost me a little under $50

Overpriced. Mediocre food. Nothing special. Convenient location, plenty of parking close by.

Looking for a juicy, savory burger? This is the place for you! We had the little mule burger, reuben tots, and Chili the Kid hot dog. All were delicious and amazing! Admittedly, I did feel a little heavy after eating all that cheese, but I feel like that's a given when it comes to this kind of food. Service was great and the man working the front was nice and chill. We also dined in, and the music was the perfect lighting with napkins, sauces, and drinks readily available. Would recommend. I was hungry and I wanted a hot dog. Their hot dogs are always delicious. I got the cowboy with tater tots on the side. Everything is always made fresh and hot. The service is always good and the atmosphere is nice and clean. Big variety of specialty got dogs. They have happy hour every day Monday -Friday with various beers and cocktail drinks. Indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is mostly on the street.

*** AVOID ALHAMBRA location *** Let me preface this by saying that I really do like Dog Haus. In fact, for those of you who do not know, Bad Ass Burritos is part of Dog Haus. A while back, Bad Ass Burritos was at Kitchen United in Pasadena. Now you can still get your Bad Ass Burrito from Dog Haus locations. Dog Haus is a franchise. I've experienced disappointment from this location on several occasions. The last time was the kicker. They changed their time to 9am. Before it was easy (even though it was still subpar at this location). You order your burrito online. Pick it up. It is frustrating to have problems ordering online, then arrive at 845am only to find that the place does not open until 9am. The website also states another time. The burrito is not called Wurst Burrito. They changed it to Sausage Burrito. People can't even find my recommendation on the menu. *Eye roll* It is a FRANCHISE. Last I checked, Dog Haus did not change the name franchise-wide. That's like going to McD's to get a Big Mac when they rename it. Seriously?!?!? (Btw, the packaging still says, "The Absolute Wurst".) My burrito was LEAKY and DRIPPING. If I wanted a WET BURRITO, I would've ordered one. SMH. As if that was not bad enough, the egg white in the middle was translucent. When one orders a burrito with an overeasy egg, it doesn't mean to just place a raw egg in. It's no wonder it was dripping.. Quite unpleasant. Sad thing is that Bad Ass Burritos is my favorite. I actually stopped singing praises of them since the Alhambra location has underperformed on that front. I don't want people to go thinking that the burrito was not that good since it reflects on my taste. From now on, I will AVOID the Alhambra Dog Haus location even though it is the closest one. If I do order my beloved Wurst Burrito, it will be from Pasadena or Glendora. If you have gotten this far, I urge you to read the other bad reviews. Once or twice when the burrito is subpar, it is dismissed as an off day. This one was the kicker... I wish I read the 1-3 star reviews before being upset enough to write this review. (Btw, I was so angry that I wrote to corporate immediately (02/18/24). They have yet to respond. I hope you (owner) receive the message here.)

The hot dogs are always served cold. I have no idea why. Just sad, greasy, cold dogs on buns that disintegrate. They make you wonder what you're doing with your life. You eat half. You throw the rest away. You try to remember where you parked your car.

This place went downhill. Employees seem to hate their life. Super slow service (no other customers) old stale bread. Wings no flavor. Won't go back

Once again, I am extremely impressed with the service & food. Every time we come in we are greeted so kindly and it makes our visit even more enjoyable. My daughter loves the Pac-Man machine in the back and we love getting to take a little break with some great sliders. Thanks for always guaranteeing a great time!

Tonight was my third and last time here. Each time I walk in with a smile, I say hi, I give a good tip. Each time the gentleman with the beard gives me a blank stare, acts like I'm bothering him with my existence and is just all around rude. What's up with this guy? Why does he still work there?

The food was good as always but when I was walking in I was greeted by a very rude employee who was on his phone the entire time. I asked a question about the breakfast burritos because I did not see them on the menu and I was told to look it up. This location is way worse than the one I typically go to in old town Pasadena. No wonder there was nobody in there when I went in probably due to the fact that this guy working is a huge dick.

Can never go wrong with Dog Haus, right? We were in the area for a separate event so we decided to grab lunch from Dog Haus since it's a chain we eat at every so often. It was pretty busy, line pretty much out the door but we went for it anyway, we stood off to the side to decide what to get (since we kind of wanted something different from our usual) and after deciding, we got in the back of the line and the kind guy in front let us go because he knew we were already there before him but were just unsure of what to order. We ordered our food and it's been a while that I forgot they had really good miso ranch. It's odd to not have the sauces on the menu itself, especially if you're going to order sides that need dip. We ordered our food, our sides, but no sauces. We sat down and waited for our order. Our food came pretty quickly and then I realized that we didn't have any sauces. The only stuff they have out are ketchup and some random hot sauces. I was bummed so I went up to the side to ask what looked like the manager for some ranch. He said they charge $0.85 for it and I was like, damn. It honestly wouldn't have been a big deal if the line wasn't so long and constantly busy. I would've went up to buy myself some ranch but it was just too long of a line for one thing of ranch. I went back to my seat to eat my food which I couldn't enjoy much at all. Ketchup just wasn't doing it for me so we ended up eating what we could and taking the rest home. Food was still cooked well so no complaints there. Highly recommend! Dog Haus's food is always solid quality, and every item I've tried has been awesome, from their dogs to their burgers. My personal favorite is a Chili Idol, substitute the cheese sauce for an egg - filling, savory goodness I only recently learned they added shakes - tonight I got their Caramel Brownie shake, and it was an instant hit! Highlight of my evening, with a fresh batch of ice cream and all. If you ever get the chance, I recommend swinging by - they've added some fun additions to the menu since I started coming!

The food is alright. The dude working the front with the beard ruins it all tho.. Dude is grumpy, unwelcoming and quite possibly missing a few braincells if he thinks anyone is going to return to this location. Probably the owners son or nephew cause I have no idea how he still has a job..

Ordered some corn dogs to go, got home and one has the batter almost entirely off the dog and is half burnt. They would never have given that to anyone eating in i'm guessing? Come on guys, so not cool

Finally had an excuse to walk over and check out Dog Haus and was a real solid first time! Went for the Old Town dog and it had a nice balance of sweet, savory and spicy. Going to have to come back again and try out a few other items and combinations. Service was awesome and helped with making a choice on which one to get. Place was super clean and orderly. Overall, great place to stop by and grab a bite and enjoy a part of Pasadena that isn't isn't on the main paths.

We got the chilli the kid hot dog and hot fries. Food was good. Not memorable crazy good but good. Service professional. I just feel it was too expensive for what you got. Restaurant is nice and clean. There's an outdoor seating area as well.

Placed orders for two breakfast burritos - Haus and bronco. Picked up order and left and started eating, halfway through the burrito, realized that there were no tator tots and checked the other burrito and there were no tator tots as well. While I was waiting for my order, I heard the cook asking the front cashier what goes in the burritos. Called and sounded like they didn't believe me but said I could bring them back but that is a waste of my time and gas and energy. It would be better to train the cook or have them refer to a recipe if they don't know what goes into the food items. I don't think I'll be back.

Food is a good portion for how much you pay. Burrito is surprisingly massive so it'll be for breakfast & lunch if you don't have a partner to share it with. Always delicious. Great for friends & family. Service was quick & friendly. It just gets a little loud & messy.

I ordered online and some jerk took my food. I swear, people suck these days. But some guy, maybe the manager, was kind enough to redo my order and give me a discount. Took forever but that's okay. The food was still delicious. Thank you and I will be back. Maybe not order online anymore lol

For chain fast food this branch has more of neighborhood feel to it. Best breakfast burritos anywhere. Manager Jay is great. Professional and remembers the customers (not easy to find these days). Wouldn't come here if you're want health food but for guilty pleasure cheat days u can't go wrong! Plethora of vegetarian options is a dudes bonus.

I don't know which employee looked at this oily dripping burnt corn dog and thought it was alright to package up and give to me in my DoorDash Togo order but he/she really doesn't give a fuck I guess. Check your order before you leave the store or else you might be served this abomination of a corn dog.

This place serves my favorite burger and my favorite breakfast burrito. This review is for customer service. I would not complain about the customer service if it happened once or twice. I like give people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he's not feeling well, maybe his dog died... But in three separate visits I have had a very negative experience in this restaurant with one particular employee -- Jay. In my several encounters with him, he doesn't smile, seems annoyed at any question, and generally disgruntled. My husband asked him if they have any umbrellas for the patio. Rather than a friendly tone "no, I'm sorry we don't" he got a rude tone "No, we don't" Then I had a problem with the app when redeeming a BOGO burrito offer. I redeemed the offer in store and the app started a countdown. Jay RUDELY explained that he can't redeem it, I have to order through the app. I tried but I couldn't order through the app since I had already clicked "redeem in store". Jay was not only unhelpful he was SO RUDE, rudely telling me that he has no idea how the app works and it's corporates fault and I need to take it up with them. My problem wasn't with the app and its glitch, but with the tone he was speaking with me. If he had been understanding and explained nicely that he couldn't do anything, I would have understood. Since he was being so rude (and I had had a couple of rude encounters with him in previous visits) I asked for his name. He really lost it. He ANGRILY said "I'll just give you a free burrito since you're going to call corporate on me". I politely accepted his offer and was ready to let it go but he kept going on. When I tipped him 15% he angrily said "you didn't have to leave a tip since you're just going to call and complain about me". I really wanted to get irate but I kept my cool and just told him "I know I didn't have to leave a tip, but I wanted to". I'm a forgiving and calm person but it felt like he was trying to pick a fight with me. When I went back up 5 minutes later to order a drink, he just gave it to me and said "don't worry about it" in a very irritated tone of voice, without looking at me, and angry body language. I appreciate the free burrito and the free drink, but I will NEVER return to this location as long as Jay is working there. I have ordered from him multiple times on separate occasions all with negative experiences. Today he ruined my mood I couldn't even enjoy my delicious food on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. I brought it home and will eat it later. This guy needs to go, or at least not interact with customers. He should not be the face of this excellent restaurant.

Got the cheese fries for $4. It was actually a large amount of fries to share between two people. Cheese is like that of nacho cheese just poured all on top, so after a while it becomes soggy. Their only condiments though are ketchup and mustard. Ranch is an extra some amount. I went with a big group and I did hear there were some issues with wrong or missing orders. The staff made some comments on how it's not their fault since it was such a big group, which felt a little off putting.

I come here at least once a week! Obsessed with the burgers! I love the fact that I can get a lettuce wrap instead of a bun. Consisten, delicious, and great customer service. Love it!

While looking for a new dinner takeout option we came across Dog Haus on Yelp. As a vegetarian I am always a little nervous about ordering from a place that primarily serves meat. However, I also like to support businesses that offer Beyond or other vegetarian alternatives. I opted for the Sooo Veggie with a side of tater tots. My husband who is not a vegetarian went with the Cowboy & cheese fries. These are not your average hot dog. You really get a complete meal with carefully crafted ingredients that compliment one another and lead to a truly crave worthy flavor profile. The tater tots were perfectly crisp - not at all greasy. I do recommend using a fork and knife to ensure you pick up all of the tasty toppings with each bite. I really appreciated the Hawaiian roll my veggie dog was on. It worked perfectly by adding a touch of sweetness and never got soggy. I will order from this place again for sure. They offer fun flavors, my order was ready quickly and overall I was left with an enjoyable experience.

Had a great time at Dog Haus! Jay was great and made sure we were taken care of. Nice patio and good place to bring the whole family! The dogs are so good, veggie and non. Garlic aioli was so fire!

The food is good but the customer service when they're busy - is bad. I ordered ahead, and when I checked out, I ask to add "2 pre-maid cookies", and I was given attitude. I'm not asking you to make anything, they're premaid. Disappointing for sure.
