Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats

My wife and I visited Dogfish Brewery twice during the marathon weekend, and it proved to be the most welcoming place we experienced while staying nearby in Rehoboth. TJ and Rob, who were tending bar, presented themselves with steady professionalism and a clear command of the beers and cocktails we ordered. My wife selected the 30 Minute IPA, and I chose the Chicory Stout. After sampling her IPA, I briefly wondered whether it had simply taken the place of Slightly Mighty, but TJ clarified the distinctions with calm precision. He also mentioned that, while we enjoyed these beers on draught, the packaging of Slightly Mighty and the 30 Minute IPA resembles one another, and that Slightly Mighty tends to suit the summer season. Over the course of our visits, we also tried the Citrus Squall, a PB Martini, an Espresso Martini, and an Old Fashioned. Each drink was prepared with consistent attention, though the two martinis and the 30 Minute IPA remained the memorable choices for me. The IPA was particularly agreeable and worked well as a steady table companion. The food was satisfactory and somewhat more refined than standard pub fare. The chicken sandwich leaned a bit dry, although the macaroni and cheese was pleasing, especially when brightened with hot sauce or a drizzle of hot honey. The salad was the standout dish for both of us, while the grilled cheese with soup followed closely. We also ordered a burger, which was dependable and well put together. We intend to return to Dogfish whenever we visit or pass through Rehoboth, and we remain genuinely appreciative of the drinks and the measured, thoughtful service provided by the staff.

I had always wanted to try here, and finally was able to as part of a work trip. Like you would imagine, all the beers were superior. So I could really sample what was there. They had a mixture of dogfish Head, regular beers and some of their brewed at the brew pub specifically. They also have a pretty extensive menu, and different specials happening during the week. We happen to go during at half price appetizer night which was nice. The staff was super friendly and had some good suggestions for beers to try. If you're into beer and want a casual bite. You couldn't do better than picking here!

My dining experience was mixed. I had a cheddar cheeseburger with a side caesar salad. The burger was big, juicy and overall delicious. The salad, however, was a bit disappointing. The salad was swimming in a tasteless caesar dressing that only had a couple of croutons. Service was excellent; very professional and friendly. Atmosphere was very lively and energetic with multiple TVs throughout. Would just like them to improve upon their salads.

DFH old fashioned was pretty good, the pumpkin ale was decent but didn't have that pumpkin i was looking for. The pickle chips and the Almost shipped my pants wings were very good! The chili hot dog duo was decent. The bartender Alec was very fast and doing a great job running the front. Definitely come back next year!

Fun place to eat if you’re in the area, service was great and “Not Santa” was an amazing host! Showed up early for dinner and I’m glad we did because this place gets busy.

Great experience. Excellent food. Mediocre service. Waitress would disappear for more than 15 minutes had to ask others walking by for water refills, toppings for pizza, spoon for the chowder etc. The atmosphere is always chill. Preferred a booth seat and they were already full so we got a seat in the middle of the dining room at a table. Nice music good variety played. The food was excellent had bbq wings sauce was light and sweet and the wings were crispy w just a little bit of burnt flavoring. The corn chowder was good, would have been better served w a spoon so I could eat it hot… by the time we located another server it was lukewarm… We also for the old man and the sea wood fired pizza which was exceptional!! Will definitely be back for more soon! Loved the tropical sequel too!! 9% ABV

Large group of us came in on a Sunday. They were very accommodating to get us seated together. Really solid beer list. Food was very good (yellow fin tuna taco and salmon burger were very good). Fries awesome. Great calamari. You will find a beer here that you really like. Service was great.

Have been here twice (from PA) the night before running in the marathon weekend. Great atmosphere! Very accommodating hostesses. The vibe is great, big room. Our waiter was so nice and kind to our kids. Laid back and friendly. We always come back!

There's so many things to like here. Every time we come, the weight staff has been happy, right, knowledgeable, and pleasant. No exceptions. That's a great record. But the food. Oh my goodness. The dollar wings on Sundays is a very good deal, because the buffalo wings are some of the best in town, and are very similar to the ones at Summer House. The dry wings are the ones that my partner prefers and he loves those. The roast beef, which is actually ribeye on a whack sandwich roll, is also spectacular. There's Caesar salads are also good. Another ones, we haven't been able to go wrong yet with anything we've ordered here. And by the way, their blue cheese dressing is made in house, and it is truly exceptional.

We went after the Rehoboth Marathon and although the restaurant was crowded we were able to score standing room behind the bar. The service was amazing for the lunch rush that was happening - both the food and drinks came out super quick. The Pear-This cocktail was delicious and all of the drinks are reasonably priced. The pizzas were also impressive for bar pies (the undefeated one was amazing!) and affordable, especially for the area. They also have a store front right next door where you can buy cans/growlers/liquor to take home. We would definitely return here!

I was soooo stoked to visit this place! I was introduced to Dogfish 90 minute in the Florida Keys and never knew there was a restaurant. I was geeked to find out that I was near it while in town for work. The place was booming! Packed upstairs in the rafters, downstairs, and at the bar. Service was very slow and there were a lot of employees saying they were new and had only been working for a week, at that point. The food was decent and took over an hour to make it to the table. For me, the drinks were the best part and the gift shop. I would eat somewhere else next time.

Finaly got to visit the OG location of this long-heralded pioneer brewery from Delaware. Love the steampunk treehouse out front, but too bad we did not get a chance to go up in as it is only part of a brewery or special tour. The beer offerings have several ones that are only offered at the brewery so you will get to try ones you may never have heard of, and they do allow flights to try several. They have a food counter that offers some snacks to enjoy (we had chips and salsa and as I recall they were pretty good). The outside seating is nice in good weather and indoors is wide and spacious. I recommend stopping by when in Delaware.

We had great food and drinks and top notch service on a Saturday night. Beers were tasty and our server, Steve, was the best. He was very friendly, checked on us and gave us a heads up that in twenty minutes, they would only be able to make pizzas. Live music was also nice and added to the ambiance. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

My friends treated me to a lunch or last weekend for my upcoming birthday. It's one of my favorite breweries so it was a happy place to be in. The ambience was great. Our server was friendly. I only order apps when I go out to eat and these fried pickle chips were delicious. I know it's so random but I love these ha ha. It's great coming here off-season.

This place is a must stop for us every time we are in town. The beers are so intense flavored, weird in a great way that would put Budweiser and the like to shame! My Pumpkin Ale was delicious and hubby's Affogato Stout was complex and chocolatey like a dessert. We shared a Hakuna Burrata pizza and were very happy. Wasn't hungry to begin with but we enjoyed our evening here like always!

Loved their food! I got the clams, lobster roll, and land & sea burger. Burger was okay. Lobster roll was stuffed and delicious! Clams were good however we didn't get very many. Service was alright, slow at times but I think they were busy. My only improvement I'd suggest is making the serving sizes uniform. 2 people at our table got the land & sea burger and one had minimal crab while the other was over flowing. 2 people got the lobster roll and one had a huge mountain of fries and the other didn't have as much. We had an odd experience, a large family on the other side of the restaurant had kids throwing pieces of french fries through the holes they have in their wall (as decor) and they were landing on our table and hit us at some point. There were like 10+ pieces surrounding us! At one point we thought we were seeing things until it hit us haha. We told our server and they handled it quickly and spoke to the table. The father came over and apologized. We were surprised when they took a % off our bill, totally not expected but great customer service!!

Burgers and pizzas are $12 every Tuesday. I ordered the burger special with turkey, and while it was a bit messy to eat, it was decent. Their strawberry lime tequila margarita was sooo good, and their pretzel bites were satisfying. The service was good... quick with the drinks, though the food took a little longer. We came as a party of 12, split between two tables, and they were able to provide us with individual checks.

My partner and I had such an awesome time here! We sat at the bar and the bartender was really friendly and attentive. The beers and food were delicious and the environment is fun and welcoming. We also stopped in the gift shop and bought a few things, but the best part was talking with Afshaan! She was so busy attending to other visitors, but still took the time to get to know us and tell us about the beers and brewery. Thank you all for an awesome experience! We can't wait to come back.

Nice brewpub restaurant in Rehoboth. The wait on a Wednesday night for two was almost an hour so we started with drinks at the bar and ended up getting bar stools and just eating there and that worked out great. The maclain Mac n cheese with the Buffalo wings was sooo good. Very rich and flavorful. We also got a pizza which was solid. Good vibes and good food.

We decided to stop by Dogfish Head for lunch after leaving Ocean City, Maryland, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice! I ordered the "Old Man and the Sea," a delicious and creative take on a white pizza with a delightful Delaware/Maryland crab twist. My husband went for the Fried Chicken Sandwich, which was huge and packed with flavor. We sat at the bar, where the service was quick and friendly. The entire menu looked amazing, and all the dishes coming out of the kitchen were tempting. Highly recommend this spot--we'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!

Friendly bar. Nicely decorated for holiday season. Beer is great. Food was very good. Wings were exceptionally meaty. Salmon (sandwich) was perfectly cooked and tasty. Looooooove that veggies can be substituted for fries. Delicious Brussel sprouts.

Cool spot. Visited late afternoon on Labor Day. Visited with my husband & 9 month old. I had a flight and hubby had a citrus ipa. We ordered their bbq wings. It was tasty. I ordered fish and chips and hubby had shrimp tacos. Everything was delicious. Price but Good amount of food. Our son tasted a little of everything. Would definitely recommend

It's ok... it took over an hour to get a seat - was supposed to be 45 min.. I regret waiting. It's decent bar food. I don't drink so that wasn't a big selling point for me.

I'm somewhere between a 3 and a 4 for this Dogfish; if I could dole out a 3.7 I would. Were my expectations too high? I'd been drinking Dogfish's brews for going on 20 years now, so maybe. Anyway, after I found myself in Delaware recently, I made a beeline for this legendary brewery, situated in a dark, modern, blocky building with a stylish outdoor patio set a couple of blocks off Rehoboth's main beach. Walking in you face a nice bar area right next to the windows; a few steps further and you're inside a large, unassuming room with tall ceilings and a proper stage for live music at the back. To the side you have a series of booths against the outside wall, with very cool round windows looking onto the street. That's where you wanna sit, but alas, we got sat in the big room by ourselves at a small cafe table, which just wasn't very sexy - it was like we were a couple of truants doing time in a warehouse. Our server was efficient and seemingly indifferent, but then millennials are like that (oh no you didn't!) and that's not a dealbreaker for me. Annnnyway, I don't have any other broad generalizations up my sleeve at the moment, however, the food was also only so-so; my turkey burger was a bit on the dry side, though tasty and filling enough. The beer, as I'd hoped, brought everything back up to snuff, with my choice of Hazy Squall IPA saving the day, and the menu seems fairly deep for a brew pub, with burgers, salads, pizzas, tacos and more. I bet this place is absolutely rocking when there's a band playing or it's prime time, and I'm sure the energy level is off the charts then. But as it stands, our lunchtime visit just didn't leave me doing backflips - it was simply an average Monday afternoon lunch in a very nice place (the outside patio seemed way nicer though) with excellent beer. Very good, sure, with lots of beer (and merchandise) options but not a destination in and of itself. Would I come back? Maybe. The merch store next door is pretty fun.

Have you ever been punched in the face while walking into a restaurant? Well when you walk in here, you sure will get hit with an amazing smell of some very subtle wood smoke. It's great.! They have a nice selection of booths, even some that are in the shape of a barrel! They seem to have a very big floor for the live music, which to me is super cool. But then there is the food.we ordered a pizza which turned out delicious! And a beet salad, yum.! We would have ordered more but honestly we flew in from VEGAS! Strictly for dogfish head beers.! I think we tried majority of them, and I tell you what.! They do not disappoint ! Very excited for tomorrow's tour of the brewery.! So glad we made the decision to have a dogfish head weekend here in Delaware .! We are even staying at the dogfish inn.!

First timers to Dogfish and we will be back! Wings were perfectly cooked and savory and if you are a no beef eater like me, the turkey burger patty is hand made in the restaurant and so so good!

We had pizza today at Dogfish. Our Simple Enquiry pizza was quite good. The other pizza was The Light of the World was enjoyed just as much.

DHB is a family favorite whenever we're in Rehoboth - we love the lively ambiance and the food is always delicious and generous, as are the beverages. The summer berry salad is XL.... and excellent. ;) And the beef on weck sammie is delicious. Be sure to check out their live music schedule - always a good time when there's a band in the house!

The crab chowder was quite full of flavor. I enjoyed the pear salad with the grilled salmon. Fish and chips were like other places. Zucchini chips were nice and crisp. Service was quick and friendly

Grabbed a few bottles at the emporium for ourselves and for gifts. We gave one to our friends for their engagement and they loved it!

Absolutely blown away by this place during our visit to Rehoboth beach! This might be one of the best cheesy crab dips I have ever had in my life! Try the beer or the whiskeys - everything is brewed there , definitely order seafood - such a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The shop was closed when we were there but you can buy Dogfish beer/ whiskey etc from the shop. Highly recommended!

Sat at bar and had a calamari for app. Didn't stay long due to dinner plans. Atmosphere was great and all food coming out to bar area looked great- especially the pizza. Very attentive bartenders and friendly staff. Great place to hangout or sit in dining room. Great location and a wonderful restaurant.

The food was not as good as we were expecting, but it was okay as was the service and cleanliness. Beers were good, but we wanted more dark options. It's tiring being told those are seasonal.

I've seen Dogfish Head beer in stores, so when we saw the brewery and distillery nearby, we had to stop in when we were I Delaware last weekend I didn't realize they made spirits, too. They have a bar, restaurant, awesome patio space, and store! They often have live music. We only had a few drinks at the bar, though the plates of food at nearby tables looked really good! I am going to start with food because that is the real reason you go to a restaurant the food is Amazing 10/10 the ambiance is a brew pub it nice the fish bowl tables are cool if you like people watching you eat . The staff is kind of rude not mean just not happy nice . I would totally recommend you go there just know they and very melancholy.

I have been a fan of the brand for years and visited their brewery in Milton a few years ago. I was happy to see that the restaurant was in Rehoboth Beach and excited to visit during our family mini-vacation. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. (No strollers allowed in the indoor area) We initially opted for outside and brought our stroller...but there was a decent amount of flies buzzing around so we took the stroller back to the car and opted for indoor seating...which was much more comfortable on my opinion. The indoor section was great...lots of lovely Dogfish Head-inspired decor and large stage for whenever they have live music. There is the restaurant (tables and chairs) area and also a bar area toward the front of the space. As expected, lots of beers on tap...including the high-coveted 120-Minute IPA....#$10 for 10 ounces...sounds good to me. The food menu had some interesting options...we decided to get steak, wings, nachos and fries to share. Everything was okay-good...I can't say anything stood out. The server was very pleasant, helpful and attentive. Right next door is their "Empourium" which is an awesome concept...lots of take out beers (cans, bottles and growler fills) and tons of merch (pins, bottle openers, clothing, coasters...just to name a few). They also had Dogfish Head spirits...which I didn't even know they make (gin, vodka, rum and single malt)...quite a pleasant surprise. They were nice enough for me to sample some as well...I was your average kid in a candy store. Parking is easy right on the main street. Meters are in effect May 15th through September 15th, 10am - 10pm...so make sure to pay during those times via credit card or using the app. Would love to return if I am in the area again.

Come here every time I'm in the area. Value for money is OK. Not bad by any means, but not a bargain either. The food is super reliable. Have had some things that were just good, but often the food is excellent. Outdoor dining is nice and dog friendly, indoor is cool, good vibes, a bit loud due to the large open space. You cannot go wrong dining here though. Unlike some options in the area this is not a beach-town cash-grab. It is good food, good service, and interesting beers.

In the summer this place is POPULAR! We waited maybe 45-60 mins for a table. Big DFH fans at our house - the only problem is I'm gfree and there aren't maybe gluten free options at DFH. I ordered the dry rub wings and wasn't too impressed with them unfortunately. I did absolutely love the blueberry shrub vodka drink...delish. Hubby loved his beef on weck. Please add some gfree options to your menu...pretty please.

Didn't have a good meal in this town on last year's trip and thought this place would fix that problem but no luck. Very long wait for a table plus the food. The fish tacos - fish did not taste fresh at all. Huge letdown. Burger- too dry and pretty flavorless except for a salty flavor. Maybe other items are better here? The beer I was told was very good!

I have to start out with how good the pizza is. As a new Jerseyan I was shocked. Not just for a brewery, but it definitely competes with pizzerias, it was delicious! We also got burgers and a chicken sandwich. All of it was great, I definitely understand the long lines now. We went around 5pm which seemed to justttt beat the dinner crowd. We sat outside, there is a small outside area.

Visiting Dogfish Head can really be a one-stop shop; you stay at the Inn, visit the brewery, and then come here for food, which makes for a very fun weekend. The brewpub has a great selection of Dogfish Head brews and we tried a few with our meal (not too many as we had a bunch of tastings with our tour). Their beer is great and always tasty and we love being able to try a bunch of different beers, particularly since they make so many. The food was also very good and we had fried pickle spears, a cheeseburger, and shrimp tacos, all of which paired well with the beer. It's definitely a fun place to visit and one I would recommend if you're in the area!

Excellent service, excellent food, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, free music, cool artwork. The pizza is great, as is the kale salad, the wings, the beers. The bread pudding with banana ice cream is outstanding and huge amount. They are generous with their portions. Price isn't too bad and the servers are very cheerful, friendly and helpful. Thank you.

I was glad that I didn't have to wait for 40 minutes like when I went here in August. Our waitress was attentive at the beginning, but as it got busy, we had to wait a while to order dessert. Nachos: really good. It was served on n a tray with melted mozzarella and pepper Jack cheese. The mozzarella gave a nice cheese pull. The tortilla chips were thin, seemed like from Herr's. It had beef chilli, sliced jalapeño, and pickled red onions. The pickled red onion definitely elevated the flavor. Salad: I wish there was more greens. It was served with pickled ginger (usually served with sushi), avocado, and blueberries. The avocado was in perfect ripeness which gave creaminess to the salad. I had salmon with the salad. It was well-done but not dry. I could taste a hint of smokiness, I like it that way because it wasn't overwhelming. I also liked that it wasn't burnt. My husband had beef on whack. The shaved rib eye was tender but bland. It was served with the jus in a stainless steel cup that's normally used for condiments. There's no way you could dip the big burger into that small container. The jus was thin and not flavorful. I could only taste salt from the bun that was sprinkled with sea salt granules. Stout float: they put two scoops of gelato in the glass, then the stout was poured in right at the table. Very good but it's very sweet.

I had been to their other location in Milton before but this was my first time here! It's great they have so much seating including a bar that's first come first serve but you can still order food. We came for a few beers and appetizers and had a great time listening to the live music. We got their calamari and a Caesar salad and both were great. Next time I come back I want to try their cocktails and pizza.

Dogfish Head Restaurant is such a great spot for the family! The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was absolutely electric. It's the perfect place for large groups and sports fans, with plenty of TVs to catch all the games. Whether you're out for a family dinner or gathering with friends, this spot truly delivers a memorable experience. We can't wait to come back!

Great ambience, good food and service. Can't forget about the great beer. We'll be back next time visiting Rehoboth.

Another amazing meal as usual. My daughters and I visit Rehoboth for our annual girls trip and Dogfish Head is always at least one dinner. Last night did not disappoint. The wings were perfect, the pretzel bites were so good and my burger (which I mentioned to our server, Morgan, a million times) was cooked to perfection! My girls had their favorite pizza and loved it once again. Morgan was probably one of the best servers we've had. She was attentive, sweet and really just a pleasure! Looking forward to seeing you all again next year!

Great service and delicious food. Tony's girlfriend here, and I agree! The grilled cheese sandwich is amazing and their honey mustard, for dipping your french fries, is out of this world!

Came here with a large group; had an assortment of appetizers - the fried pickles, pretzel nuggets and nachos - all were delicious! I had the steak dinner - which was ample, tender and perfectly cooked; and placed on top of a bed of hand-cut fries, with a coin of garlic butter to finish the steak. Everyone had a good time and enjoyed their meals. Sorry, no pics, we got caught up in the moment and good food!

This place totally ROCKS!!! The food is off the hook delicious and huge portions for price!! The beer and cocktails are so amazing!! I am absolutely loving this place and highly recommend it The service was on spot! Knowledgeable about menu and drinks, very personable. The space is warm and comfortable. We were quickly seated!!

The vibes are very family friendly good here. The service was great, the bartender was funny. The portions and ingredients seemed fresh and high quality. The vodka mule was amazing and super strong. Great time environment food and drinks!

Food was stellar and portions were large. The nacho starter was rich and flavorful (and enough for a main). Steak and frites were perfectly cooked and the pasta was light and tasty. The noodles tasted homemade in the best way possible. Service was prompt and friendly and the ambience with live music was simply amazing. It is loud inside but if you're looking for something more peaceful the music is piped in (or out) to the patio seating with speakers.

We really enjoyed this pub. The food was very good. We shared the pub pretzel and beer cheese. I had a a burger named "I wanna be sedated" which I enjoyed very much. Everyone in my party also enjoyed all their entrees and drinks. I definitely recommend. The service was also very attentive.

If you're a fan of their beer, then this is a place for you. We came here for lunch and only waited for 5 minutes to be seated. Our waiter was friendly. When it got busy, we saw less of him though. We shared the "Green Machine" salad and "Old Man and the Sea" pizza. They were able to split the salad for us, which was nice. I thought the pickled ginger, the ones you usually see served with sushi, was a bit weird. But the salad was fine overall. I enjoyed the pizza, which is basically a crab pizza.

Awesome beach fries, great service, and unique beers. What's not to love. My salmon blt had a generous piece of perfectly cooked salmon and thick slices of crispy bacon. Husband's chicken sandwich was satisfying. The fries were especially crispy, thick cut, well salted, and satisfyingly hot. The brownie dessert was huge. Very good drink selection- in addition to the expected beer, cocktails and wine were also available. I enjoyed my Pear-This cocktail with pear juice, gin, Prosecco, and st Germaine.

My trip to Dogfish Head Brewery was long overdue and delightful! For starters, we tried the Fried Pickle Spears which came with mouthwatering roasted jalapeño aioli. We also started with a beer flight of seasonal choices. They were great! For my main entree, I went with the Lupu Luau Shrimp Tacos. These tacos were packed with flavor! The shrimp is Cajun style and it comes filled with roasted corn salsa, cilantro, lettuce, cured red onion and a coconut crema on toasted corn tortillas. I can't wait for my next visit!

Dogfish Head Brewing and Eats had a big menu with reasonable prices, great service, and delish food. My fiancé and I went here on a Friday night in February and there was about a 30 min wait. We were able to park right out front. For drinks, I got the winter sangria which was delicious, definitely recommended - it had a lot of flavor and spices! They also have a large tap list. For food, we split the pierogis, the green machine salad, and the Under the Ridge pizza. The pierogis were actually amazing! I would definitely recommend them, they were fried perfectly and the potato filling was light and fluffy. They came with a horseradish cream sauce which complimented it perfectly. Green machine salad was good - I think it was a fun combo of food but could've used more blueberries and granola. The pizza was also great - if you like garlic and mushrooms, under the ridge is for you! Even though it was only $17, it was actually too big for us to finish. Overall, all our food was good, in a nice relaxing atmosphere. Their website does note they have live music at 9pm so be aware of that. I can also imagine it's a long wait during summer season. I'd definitely return when in the area!
