So glad myself and my group made the trip up to the brewery from Rehoboth Beach. We booked the Off-Centered tour and were not disappointed; can't believe it's only $20! Our tour guide was amazing, funny, and super attentive, and other staff was very nice and welcoming. Would recommend having a designated driver, or someone who partakes a little less, as it's easy to drink more beer than expected, considering what's on offer. We stuck around post-tour to have our flights, and ended up grabbing some food along with it. The food was absolutely delicious, and this capped off the day really nicely. Gift shop attendees were also so great and helped me and my group find beers that were well-worth purchasing, based on availability elsewhere. 10/10 experience that is very well-worth it.

Google
Did the mini tour and had a fantastic time. Leigh was a great tour guide and very patient with the kiddos. Tons of beer selections and the gift shop was super cute. Great bar! Highly recommend!

Google
Kid and dog friendly. Went for some drinks and food. Looking online for the menu and it was small. So we thought maybe there will be more options there. There wasn't but the food was so good. We had bbq pork and pulled chicken sandwiches that were awesome. The drink flowing and everyone was having a good time. There is corn hole and big janga for everyone to enjoy. We didn't get a tour but we will be back. If you're not a beer drinker they have a large selection of cocktails.

Google
Attended the noon off-centered tour today instead of the quicker 20-minute tour that’s offered and it was totally worth it. I went in with zero knowledge of Dogfish Head’s history and the brewing process in general so I found the tour really informative. Our guide was Gavin and he did a great job. His timely quips and jokes made the tour feel like we were hanging out with a friend while enjoying a few drinks. When you do the tour you’re granted access to the steampunk-treehouse you pass as you approach the entrance. After climbing the spiral staircase to the top you’re greeted with facts about its illustrious past at both Burning Man and Coachella while be treating to yet another sample of beer. Once you’re finished with the tour you can head into the tasting room and exchange your card for a flight of 4 Dogfish Head beers. It was cool to know you could save that for your next visit or turn in the card for one free canned beer to take home with you. The experience was 100% worth it and I look forward to heading back in the future.

I am not a beer fan. Just not for me. I am a whiskey, bourbon, rum, tequila guy. I told that when I when I walked up to the bar. I did a beer flight with the beers that they said I would like. They were right. They were very good. I went into the gift shop, and that is when I saw it. Whiskeys. I found out that they make their own Whiskeys, rum, and Jin. I went bar to the bar and, of course, did a fight of what they made. All were well made. It turned out to be a great time. Awesome staff and great atmosphere. I made my way back one more time before heading to my next job site is passed Saturday. I did my version of October Fest, lol. Not with beer. But with pumpkin old-fashion. Okay, three pumpkin old-fashion and one soft pretzel. LoL. The pumpkin old-fashion was top-notch. I did have them a little more of their pumpkin lacore. If you have that one friend that not a beer fan, tell them that Dogfish has whiskey, rum, and gin that they distill themselves. Again, the staff is awesome.

Google
We have tried some of these beers in the past but were excited to check out the main brewery for a tour. We had a great afternoon at this brewery. We booked online and our tour guide Gavin was funny and gave us lots of details about how the brewery came to be. You get 1 beer and a koozie to take home when you book a tour which was also pretty cool. We ended up doing a beer and cocktail flight. The plave is pretty large with indoor and outdoor seating including food. We didn't eat but there were lots of pizzas to choose from which were similar to the ones in Rehoboth. There is also a Large bar to just hang out.

Google
We did the longer brewery tour then had lunch. Such an informative and interesting tour! The brewery building itself is really neat and the signage is a hoot. Loved being able to go up into the tree house! The beers and canned cocktails are awesome

Google
Brought my husband here while on vacay bc he loves Dogfish. I don’t love beer, but they had other alcohol and cocktails also! We brought our goldendoodle and inside and outside are both super dog friendly! If we are ever in the area, we will 1000% stop by again! Couldn’t recommend more. Everyone was so wonderful!

Yelp
Highly recommend booking the Off-Centered tour, definitely one of the more interactive and educational brewery tours we have been on! In just over an hour, we had four tastings including flagship beers, an experimental beer, and one of their new seltzers plus a flight from the bar at the end. The tour takes you through their main brewhouse, R&D section, and up into the steampunk treehouse allowing you to see and learn everything from their fermentation to packaging processes. The tour guide was very knowledgeable of their history and brews and kept the tour entertaining. Lastly, the tour includes a tasting glass and sticker to take home. When at the brewery definitely take advantage of the experimental brews only at the bar! If you are a fan of IPAs, their best-selling line of IPAs is a must try - any of the 60/75/90/120 minute IPAs which get stronger the longer they are brewed. They also offer food typically found at most breweries but with some unique twists and beer infused sauces. There is a good mix of indoor and outdoor seating. Don't forget to stop by their large gift shop before you leave as well!

Yelp
Took a day trip to visit Dogfish Head Brewery and the Off-Centered Tour. It was amazing and one of the better brewery tours I've been to, especially for the price. Tour guide was passionate about the beer and extremely knowledgeable. Facility was nice to see (this was a weekend so no one making beer) and quite a few things were included for the price. We got the 60 minute IPA in the main barrel room, a R and D beer in the R and D area with souvenir small glass, a cup of the Vodka Lemonade canned drink, a citrus beer in the tree house (only access through tour), and a flight of 4 oz beers at the bar. Tour was about an hour long and I grabbed the flight of beer after the tour. It got super crowded at 12 so be aware you may have to sit outside. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This was a very fun place to spend a few hours. We took the tour, which was led by a very knowledgeable woman and included a beer. After, we hung out at the bar, then went onto the large lawn and played corn hole. The bar has a very fun sour slushy and it also has test beers you can't get anywhere else. Oh - and they have electric car chargers, both for Tesla and other plugs.

Yelp
Always a pleasure visiting this brewery, by far the best around! The gift shop is super rad, with unique items that make perfect souvenirs. Love the history that built this business! The bartenders & tour guide were absolutely fantastic, making the experience even more memorable. Plus, the place is spotless. Can't recommend it enough!

Yelp
We visited the brewery yesterday. We purchased tickets for the quick sip tour at 1 pm and had a great time. Our guide was personable and informative. After our tour, we visited the tasting room and we were very excited to try a flight. We encountered an extremely rude bartender named George. He was very short with us when we asked him for the flight options and stated "I need your money first". He was then very short with my wife when she stated she needed to get her wallet out of the diaper bag. Finally, when we attempted to order more drinks he ignored us in favor of other customers who clearly arrived after us at the bar. Not sure why he was so rude to us but this was the worst customer service we ever encountered at a brewery. This left a very bad taste in our mouth about Dogfish Head Brewing. It is a shame as the famous is beautiful and the tour was a great experience.

Yelp
If you're in the Rehobeth area or Cape May, definitely visit!!! The beers are even more delicious on draft and some delicious cocktails, lovely staff and great experience! Dog and kid friendly! Loved the ambiance and environment!

Yelp
Great vibes and brewery. The tasting room offers a ton of exclusive beer options and tasting flights are very reasonably priced. They serve food, available to order from an outside window, that is a perfect accompaniment to the food. I definitely recommend and will be back!

Yelp
This place used to be incredible. They would do free beer tasting, there was always some pretty cool rare stuff. And you could explore the property somewhat openly. In the last few years (perhaps corresponding to their Sam Adams deal), it has become a bit more like what you would expect from any other large brewery. Beer is generally very good. Always a few interesting beers to try. $10 tastings are reasonable, but doesn't feel like that special an experience. They do sell food on-site. Prices are reasonable as are potion size and quantity/quality. Overall this is a great way to spend an afternoon if you are nearby. No longer really a reason to drive out here though.

Yelp
Having such an excellent visit last summer, we made sure a re-visit was in our weekend itinerary again this summer. And while we would have loved to do another tour, we again had our children in tow, so had to settle on just flights & enjoying the atmospheric ambiance of their outdoor patio area. We opted for two flights (10$ a flight for 4 brews)- again the brewery wasn't very crowded so we were able to really get great 1:1 service, in which the bartenders spent some time mingling-discussing their favorite brews, allowing some samples of the variety, and helping us to really pick the best brews for our preferences. This visit, we also wanted to try to buy some whiskey to take home & again it was fantastic the bartenders were so friendly to allow mini samples, without us having to opt into a direct 'make our own flight' & helped us to find just the right whiskey for our palates. &off to the store we went love that they have such a large availability of all their products, including the base-available everywhere- and special tasting room special buys only accessible. We stocked up to go!! Turning into regulars as much as we can get there.

Yelp
What an amazing visit! We did the Crooked Tour that was a little over an hour. So worth it for only $20! You got to try 4 different drinks on the tour and then ended with a flight card to use at the bar. All the employees are so nice. It is such a great vibe to be in. Highly recommend not only visiting but getting a tour! The food was delicious too! Loved their pizzas and the Bavarian pretzel.

Yelp
What an AMAZING experience it was visiting the dogfish head brewery! We flew all the way from Vegas just to have a dogfish head weekend, it's one of my favorite brand of beers. We started the day off with the brewery tour and had a great time, Tara was our tour guide and she was awesome, made the tour just that much better. We also had a great group and met some nice people. After the tour we enjoyed our build ur own flight and then enjoyed plenty of other dogfish head beers! We ordered the charcuterie board and it was very tasty. This place gets very packed, but it's great to see and hear everyone having a great time at a great place. I will definitely come back to this place again. And I highly recommend staying at the dogfish inn, we loved it!!

Yelp
This place never disappoints. We've visited Delaware 3 times now to visit my son and his family. We always come here. The atmosphere fun and they have a big selection of drinks. The first time we came here the beer tender was so helpful. We told him what we like and he picked our flight. This last time we came here I tried the Bloody Mary. It was delicious. The food here is also really good.
google avatar

Yelp
Really enjoyed the tour and hearing how his brewery dream became a reality and how they got their name! They pay it forward with donations to various charities which we loved. For the price it was well worth it. We brought a case of mixed flavored beers which our family really enjoyed. Highly recommended

Yelp
Dogfish Head has always been one of our favorite breweries and we loved being able to finally tour the brewery. We took a van over from the Dogfish Inn (highly recommend staying there) and did an afternoon tour, which worked out great. Our tour guide (Hunter) was great and I hope he's still working there as he was super fun and energetic. The tour is pretty fun overall (goes through the whole brewing process like most brewery tours) and then ends with a tasting, which is usually the highlight of any tour. However, getting to play in the wacky treehouse was a tie for the highlight of the tour and it's definitely something you should do when you visit!

Yelp
If you like craft drinks, beer, liquor, you have to check out the place that started it all, Dogfish Head. Hidden in inconspicuous Milton Delaware this place offers hourly tours of their brewery and distillery, delicious food, and a massive dog friendly bar with inside and outside seating. There's places for kids to run and play, and a large merch and liquor store so you can get your fix. I always recommend trying a flight to see what tickles your pickle. They have their permanent spots as well as their experimental brews that are only available at their Milton location. The staff is so friendly and more than happy to talk you through the beers you're thinking about and if they'll be good fits. You aren't limited to just a beer flight, however. You can get a liquor flight, a craft cocktail flight, and of course, a beer flight. Stopping by this somehow still hidden gem is worth your time to drive through historic downtown Milton on your way to the Delaware beaches. You won't regret it.

Yelp
Aah! Another major brewery to check off our list. So happy when we found out the infamous Dogfish Head was only 20 minutes from Rehoboth Beach. They're super dog friendly inside & out which was a big win for us on a 90° day when it was too hot to do anything outside. You order beer or cocktails from the bar and food from a window outside. The food really surprised us here and was VERY good! Of course, there's plenty of beer options so we had to go with the flight. I already was a big fan of their sours or fruity beers, so we made sure to try some taproom exclusives. They do tours every hour if that's your thing and a huge merch store and distillery next door. Awesome way to spend a few hours !
google avatar

Yelp
Visiting Dogfish Head was an exciting time. We booked the hour long tour which was well worth the time and price. We learned a lot about the history of the brewery and how some of the most famous beers were first made. We were poured hefty samples of beer along the way, which is the best way to tour a brewery. It was really cool getting to try exclusive concoctions from R&D that aren't yet released to the public. After the tour we enjoyed some delicious bratwursts for lunch. They were served on pretzel buns and topped with sourkraut. Perfect pairing with beer. We ended the afternoon trying even more unique beers via the complimentary flights given to us as part of the tour. An afternoon well spent!
google avatar

Melody Y.

Yelp
Came here for the brewery tour and it was great! Great price and it was about 1-1.5hours long. You get a few tastings and a free flight at the end. Be sure to check out the tour. The ambiance is also great with plenty of outdoor seating available

Yelp
Definitely one of my favorite breweries. We travel from CT once a year to visit family in Delaware and this is always a must. We love their experimental beers which seem to get better and better every time we come... their normal listing of beers are always old favorites and their distillery is like no other. Their compelling gin is always stocked at my home. Their food is pub food- pizza, brats, salsa and chips but satisfies. Staff is always friendly and willing to help. They also have a great tour and gift shop.

Yelp
A perfect day to sit outside in the shade and taste some freshly brewed bear. I liked the Tasty Traveler

Yelp
Such a cute relaxing place to go to hang! My husband and I did the tour with Piper, she was amazing! We received a taste of beer, then a can of beer and a koozie. Tour about 40 mins long, it's nice. Worth doing it once. Lots of options of beer. Definitely an appreciation for the beer and the atmosphere once you complete the tour. Would recommend and definitely will be back!

Yelp
Fun place to visit esp on Friday afternoon with great weather! I expected only standard bar fare for the eats but happily they had a great salad. The salad had peanuts and strawberries so it was unusual but good. I got a piece of cheese pizza which was okay. My husband's calzone was huge and delicious according to him! This location allows you to taste their products, beer or spirits, that are experimental. I tried the peanut vodka which was a popular one but I didn't care for it. After I got sampler of the beers. Citrus squall was my favorite but the mandarin one was good too. One of the fun things here is the steampunk out in front. We didn't tour but they are offered.
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
Attention all passengers your flight's await at Dog Fish Head Brewery.so go coach by trying their standard beers of go fist class with their R&D beers. Don't forget to vist the snack bar all good selections. So please take your seats and assume the upright position and drink up. Ciao for Now.

Yelp
We have been to Rehoboth a dozen times in the past few years and never once went to visit the actual brewery in Milton DE.... WHY?! It's so great! We went on New Years Day with our pup who was warmly welcomed on the patio AND inside the tasting room (love that!). It's a very cool campus location about 20 min from the beach. It was a gorgeous 65 degree day (yes, in January!) and we had such a wonderful lunch and tasting out on the patio. I wish they had MORE options for food- it's kinda like a salad, a sammie of the day, a few personal pizzas and a braut on a pretzel roll (which was great) but not much other real food options. That's my only negative and only disappointing because their other restaurants have AWESOME food. The beers were fun and they have lots on the R&D (research and dev) list that you can try- which we certainly did! There is a very cool treehouse that they actually shipped in from Burning man- lots of stories about it. I know they have several different tours but those are not dog friendly so we fully plan to come back another day! Everyone that worked there was friendly and accommodating.

Yelp
Amazing free visit to the brewery and afterwards you get your try an inexpensive flight of beers and outside they have sandwiches. I. General a fun visit to the brewery and you get to chat with neighbors or visitors all in a pretty good mood.

D D.

Yelp
We took the Off-Centered tour. Well worth $20. Tara was wonderful and we lucked out that no one else signed up, so it was a private tour! We did our flights after our tour so we as not to do any doubles (that we didn't want to do.) Food was available, reasonable and tasty. I think we'll try the distillery tour next time.

Yelp
I'll come here every time I visit my brother. Obviously, a great brewery but add in great atmosphere and it's a sure bet. Family friendly, hanging with bros or date night work here.

Yelp
"Milk is for babies. When you grow up you have to drink beer." -Arnold Schwarzenegger (July 20, 1947 - ) I've been to dozens of breweries, micro and macro https://www.yelp.com/user_details_reviews_self?userid=hWDybu_KvYLSdEFzGrniTw&review_filter=category&category_filter=breweries including my hometown Olde Mecklenburg https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-olde-mecklenburg-brewery-charlotte-2?hrid=fz2OmbGsupBu9vneWHJGow, Sweetwater in Atlanta https://www.yelp.com/biz/sweetwater-brewing-company-atlanta?hrid=Feu6EF46PF6dc8d6cb-mSQ, the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin https://www.yelp.com/biz/guinness-storehouse-dublin?hrid=Dj-5zLP2ZiiDJnsTo9F4OA and Carlsberg in Copenhagen https://www.yelp.com/biz/visit-carlsberg-k%C3%B8benhavn-v-2?hrid=VUB-nAQrjMRt2xm6CYuPkg. I've consumed dozens of Dogfish beers so I was super happy to be passing through Delaware and able to stop in here today. The place is a zoo and I mean that in a good way. It's crowded and it's rowdy. There's a lot of people enjoying beers here, some of whom might have had more than one or two. They have music going. Inside and outside seating with some round tables and some bar stools. Yes, they have food! Brats and pizza and I enjoyed a fresh caesar salad with chicken alongside my very fresh beers. The building used to be a cannery and so they have limited cell service inside. That's okay because they have a pretty awesome free wifi. And yes, there are tours. I didn't feel like waiting for the next one with space but it did look interesting. [Review 17743 overall - 80 in Delaware - 1264 of 2022.]

Yelp
Only our 2nd time here and 1st time post-SA buyout. In the area visiting family ... so we decided to splurge for the $20pp Off-Centered tour. Easy to buy tix online and showed up the requisite 30 min. before the tour to get the (included) 4 samplers in the tasting room. Within 5 min. of tour start ... announcement was made with instructions to use rest room (i.e., no stops during tour), finish all food/drinks (i.e., only water allowed in tour), and wear safety goggles for duration of tour (i.e., 75 min. that extended to 90 - despite our small group of 8 with max of 15). There were 4 stops with 1 small tasting at each ... starting in upstairs mash room (with tasty 60 min. IPA), leading to oak barrels (with pucker-up This is Mrs. Ridiculous sour ale), then the R&D bar (with very tasty Continual hopped Shelter Pale Ale), and finishing with walk past distillery into the ground floor warehouse (with refreshingly canned Lemon & Lime Gin Crush cocktail). Nice tour with lots of information about the brewery, owners, and production details ... along with some delightful color commentary. However, don't expect the guide to stray much from the practiced script or any deviations from the standard tastings. Not sure if we were ever asked if we had any questions ... but we still made sure to catch the guide with some, right before he turned to move on. Post-tour ... we chatted with a few others (i.e., lovely people from Seattle), got some food (i.e., clam chowder, pulled pork sandwich, and jalapeño chips) to soak up all the drinks, and also bought a few things from the gift shop to take home (i.e., limited edition $35 pumpkin mug and a few $24 cocktail variety packs). All in all ... great visit! The only downside was that it felt a bit more commercialized than the last time we were there ... when samples were actually free!!

Yelp
Great outdoor and indoor space, great beer and drink options, meh food. They're dog friendly and put out bowls of water! Their flights are a great option for anyone who wants to try something new.

Yelp
We rent a beach house every year and this was our first time coming and not our last. The flights were perfect sizes to sample 4 beers, the outdoor area was fantastic with plenty of outdoor games for our kids Tom play while we drank, and the food was delish and incredible affordable. Important to note: last call is 7 and you can stay to finish til 8. We were surprised but it's a Delaware law. Just glad we had til 8 since we got there at 6!! Also- every single employee was friendly, super nice, and flipping a hysterical. Similar to Trader Joe's employees who just love their jobs, a nice change to see at a restaurant/brewery.

Linda L.

Yelp
I live here and had never been to Dogfish Head. So cross this one off my list. Pizza was burnt, pulled pork was cold and had no taste. Roll was so hard I couldn't eat it. We thought they would have a great burger or hot dog. Everyone wants to be fancy these days. Margarita pizza had something on it that tasted like maple syrup. Guess the tourists like it . Not us .
google avatar

Amy C.

Yelp
Our first time here didn't disappoint. Dog friendly, indoors and out (always a bonus when traveling with our pooch). Beautiful outdoor area, lots of seating (we loved the tree). Lots of choices of beer and beverage. Our favorite beer was the blue hen pilsner which we also got in a growler to go. Food selection is small but what we had was delicious!!! Hubby had the calzone (stuffed with bratwurst as the primary meat). I chose the bratwurst on a pretzel bun - wow! No toppings needed. Great flavor in bratwurst and bun & perfect together. We also had a pretzel, of course (can't go to a brewery and not have a pretzel ). Staff was friendly and helpful. The pup enjoyed his time there as well. Definitely stop back the next time we are in town!!

Yelp
Beer is great but the food and outside self serve blows. The food is mostly just microwave and serve quality

Yelp
Been more than 5 years since my last visit and they've made some changes so thought I'd make a stop. Wasn't sure how it would be given the times. Arrived Friday a little after 4. They were busy and just missed the 4 o'clock tour so I signed up for the last one at 5. Ordered a Blue Hen as this was a new one for me. Crisp and light Pilsner and perfect on a hot day. I was going to order some food but ran out of time before the tour. They have Pizzas/Calzones, Pretzel, Bratwurst and some salads. Plenty of outside seating and what looked to be an iron treehouse. It turned out that I was the only one for the tour at 5. The Tour guides (Carmen and Tiffany) were great sports and went ahead with the tour. Some great stories and history and this, my second tour, was much better than the one I had last time. The tour is free and you also get a flight -2 Brewer's choice and 2 your choice. Camp Amp (s'mores) Milk Stout & the Hazy-O were excellent! Leave it to Dogfish to brew a low cal IPA (Slightly Mighty). Although you can find them if you search, I do miss my favorites Palo Santo Maroon & Burton Baton but found out they will be making a limited release comeback. Also saw another favorite (Raison D'Etre) back in D'Extra form. Good to mix it up & bring in new varieties/creations but the downside is some of the favorites end up being replaced. Looking forward to those limited releases! Before I knew it, it was 7 and closing time. A great vibe here, even better than I remember it. Bartenders and servers are upbeat, fun and attentive. 100% of the tips go to local non-profits. You gotta love that! If you're in the area, make the stop to experience one of the Craft Beer pioneers! Thank you Carmen and Tiffany for the personalized tour and amazing stories & laughs! Namaste!

Yelp
Used to be dog friendly. Go there in pouring rain to be told can't have dogs in here just service dogs . Mine happens to be but the 15 others we had coming 2 with dogs which were not certified service dogs... So we took our business to Dewey Beer. This has to be new . Always brought my dogs as well as my friends without issue . Pissed but have back up places . Poured a lot of money into that place .. NO LONGER

Yelp
If you're headed out this way, this place is a nice pit stop! They have a huge outdoor and spacious indoor area. They also provide many outdoor games and it is family and pet friendly ! Love the decor inside and the gift shop offers many options if you're looking for something for you or someone else. During our visit, the bartender provided a friendly reminder to stay hydrated and all the bartenders were very friendly and provided service as quickly as they could. We went on a sat afternoon and the tours and building filled up quick. There is plenty of parking so no need to worry about that. Great beer, tasting room, and cocktail selections as well.

Yelp
Happened to come across the Dogfish Head Brewery by accident. We were in Milton for breakfast and while I was doing a search on my phone Dogfish Head came up. I knew of this place with the famous metal tree in front, but forgot that it was in Milton. Stopped here twice on our way to and back from vacation in Virginia. Because of time constraints we couldn't take the tour and we already ate before coming here so my review is strictly based on the beer and service. Both were great. The variety of beers on tap is incredible. They have their popular beers, limited runs, and beers only sold at that site so it was really hard to choose. My one flight consisted of beers sold at the site mostly and they were all great.

Yelp
If you're coming here for a tour, wear closed- toe shoes or you have to wear the community crocs! Ew!

Yelp
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery is a craft brewery that opened in Milton, Delaware in 2002. It was founded by Sam Calagione. Calagione is originally from Maine, but spent time in New York City as a young man. He first began home-brewing in his kitchen and the first beer he brewed was made with overripe cherries (much to the enjoyment of his roommates). Years later, he had the idea to start his own brewery in Delaware because that was where his wife's family was from. Calagione chose the name 'Dogfish Head' in reference to a location in Maine that he had spent summers as a child. In June 1995, 'Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats' opened as a small brewpub in Rehoboth Beach. The first successful beer they brewed was 'Midas Touch': a beer brewed with honey, white Muscat grapes and saffron. Dogfish Head's slogan became "Off-centered ales for off-centered people". Not only were they the first brewery in Delaware, but also the smallest commercial brewery in the country. Once their popularity grew beyond the borders of Delaware, the production enterprise moved to an old food cannery (a 100,000 square foot facility) in nearby Milton in 2002. Today it is one of the largest craft breweries in the country. In addition to the production brewery in Milton, Dogfish Head still operates the original brewpub, as well as a seafood restaurant, three alehouses, a food truck, a distillery, and even an inn. In 2019, Dogfish Head merged with The Boston Beer Company (the founders of 'Samuel Adams Beer'). My wife and I first visited Dogfish Head in February 2018. We visited some friends in Washington D.C. and decided to stop in Delaware on the way home. The campus, complete with a Steampunk Treehouse, was the most impressive brewing facility we've ever seen! We arrived right when they opened and were able to get a private tour of the facility all to ourselves. Afterwards we were treated to some sampler flights in their tasting room. We tried everything from a Purple Corn Beer to a Port-Barrel Aged Barleywine. The latter, named "Puddin' Wine", was my favorite. I purchased a growler to take home. We had a fantastic time at Dogfish Head and would definitely return when passing through Delaware again!

Yelp
We went here for lunch on a weekday and have to say maybe we expected too much, but we weren't that impressed. The facility itself wasn't all that grande on the inside, although we didn't do the tour- perhaps that would've changed our mind? The beer selection was limited too in our opinion - the bar staff was also not that attentive or even happy looking! The girl at check in though was very pleasant and kind! We sat outside and brought our dog- which is always nice! I would've thought they have some yard games or something - if so, nothing was out while we were there. We ordered lunch- the pretzel with cheese, bratwurst with sauerkraut and the pulled pork sandwich. The food was all great but again the people behind the counter taking ordered didn't seem to enjoy being there or overly happy. Also their lemonade (non alcoholic) was awful- we weren't the only ones judging by the amount of full glasses in the dirty dish bins. So it was a nice day- happy when we can bring the dog, the kids and enjoy some time outside.

Yelp
The brewery, and the brewery tour, are designed to entertain all the senses. They do an excellent job in educating and entertaining, except for touch, seems to me touch is not as well fed as the other senses. The food is a good, usually quite a bit better than bar food! The ambiance is quite the mixed bag with the tasting room, the bar,the tour meeting area and even the restrooms conveniently and centrally located. There are a handful of bar tables inside for savoring your DFH flavor of choice, and your food. The BEST food is cooked outside but can be brought back in. The largest part of the ambiance is the outside play area and picnic tables. Plenty of room to spread your legs, consume your spread while still providing the kids plenty of space to burn energy! I definitely recommend visiting at least a few times per year!

Yelp
I stopped in the middle of the day on Thursday because I had a day off and this had been on my list. Well worth the drive from Philadelphia of two hours. For free, I got a private tour of the facility (no one else on the 1PM) and officially 5 4oz tasters but with some extra tasters from the bartenders. To be clear, tours are free and come with free beer, that deal is hard to beat. Tour guide had a lot of knowledge and weaved his own story into the tour. The food is also excellent, had a great pulled pork on a toasted bun (as it should always be), only annoyance is due to state law you need to go get it at a window like a food truck and bring it back. As for the beer, it is Dogfish Head, a consistently great beer that is willing to try some wacky stuff. At present they have on tap 13 of the stuff you love and 11 R&D beers. I even got to try something they are working on and give them notes. A lot of fun and I will come back!

Yelp
So happy to find out they are opened again without the reservation requirement so went there to check it out. It's been a while since I was here and they did some minor renovation and the food truck is gone and they have a food kitchen set up . Ordered drinks: namaste white beer, orange crust with mango and skinny crush. The bartenders were slow, stood by the bar for a little while before they approached to take your order. Food: hot special of the day (roast beef, beer cheese, etc) tasted good and has a slight spicy kick to the sandwich and margaritas personal pizza which was really good. They need to improve on the service because it wasn't even that crowded there on Friday.

Yelp
My girlfriend insisted that we stop at Dogfish during a road trip because she's been and thought I'd like it. She wasn't wrong! Dogfish has a great taproom with staff that is quick to welcome you in and give you recommendations on what beers to try. Our bartender helped us build a flight based on our tastes and then gave us a recommended taste order. We enjoyed every beer recommended and it showed that this is a dedicated staff. We took their 25 minute (and free!) tour which is informative and funny. We stuck around for lunch - I had a calzone and my girlfriend had their bratwurst. Dogfish is a must when in Delaware!

Yelp
Great place, the inside and outside set up was very cool. Wish we had the time to do the tour, heard good things about that. In NJ they are known for IPAs, they have so many other choices. We didn't expect it to be a distillery as well!

Yelp
Bustling tap room with high top tables, most of them filled when we visited around 1pm on a weekday. Dogs are allowed in the tap room, thank goodness, as it was 95 degrees outside. Food setup is a bit strange--you have to order it outside at walk-up windows and then it will be delivered to you in the tap room. As it is "Dogfish Head", expect prices to be a bit higher than other breweries. Husband had flight of 4 beers for $10. They also have a distillery on site and also offer a flight of custom cocktails, 4 for $10 which I tried. Nice refreshment stop on a very hot summer day.

Yelp
First time visiting this location and I didnt know it is different than their location at the beach. This is a tasting room setup, there is no server you place your order at the bar for drinks and food at the walk up kitchen window. Limited choices for food. Plenty of seating and if you like Dogfish you will enjoy yourself. I cant say it was my favorite beer sampling, but everyone has their own tastes. Very reasonable prices.

Yelp
Have been here a few times now - always a great time. Friendly staff, good bar food, and of course the beer... Check them out the next time you're at the beach!
