How to Plan a Perfect Weekend Getaway to Rehoboth, Delaware | Eater DC

"Along the Lewes–Rehoboth canal, this inn sets aside a portion of its 16 rooms to be dog friendly and makes outdoor exploring easy with a nearby kayak and boat launch plus a winding bike trail to ride using the inn’s Priority bikes." - Claudia Rosenbaum

Love staying at the Dogfish Inn. Excellent location, easy access to Lewes and all the restaurants, and close to Dogfish brewery in Milton and restaurant in Rehobeth. Good service and love the bonfire. All around good experience. Only drawback is limited hours when staying for one night - check-in at 4 pm and check-out at 10 am feels constraining and we had to rush back from breakfast to check out.

Wonderful location! Within easy walking distance to terrific restaurants and shops. The Inn is very cozy and the innkeepers are friendly and fun. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Many amenities await you there. We had no problem with street noise or from pedestrians. Can’t complain about the price of our stay either. Price was comparable to other places we have stayed. Would definitely visit again!! Loved it!!

Fantastic experience. We stayed with two large dogs for the weekend. Our room had a doggie blanket for the bed. Dog treats and towels and a doggie mat for their bowls. The rooms were crisp and clean. We had a fantastic firepit every night. Fresh coffee every morning. The host was wonderful.

We loved spending the weekend here. It’s such a cute little hotel with a really excellent location; super close to downtown Lewes but also not too loud or much foot traffic in front of the hotel. It’s next to a beautiful neighborhood and right by the water. Staff were great and we loved the nightly bonfire in the yard. Highly recommend renting bikes or e-bikes (we had never used them before but had so much fun) and taking the lovely trail into rehobeth for the afternoon! Would love to come back and experience it in a different season, too!

Stayed for a weekend with my son. We’ve been staying in Rehoboth for many years and frequent Lewes often but never have had a chance to stay at Dogfish. This was my first visit and won’t be my last. I can’t wait to be back! The staff was very personable and attentive. The grounds, room and lobby were pristine. I love all the small details like the record player and the coffee in the lobby. The rooms are perfectly designed for maximum organization. Hooks where you need them, a nice counter by the window and plenty of space to sprawl out. Not to mention the location to the bike trail, downtown and the beach. It’s a whole vibe.

My wife and I decided to go to Dogfish for a couple day getaway this October. Our stay here was great! The staff were wonderful and the cleanliness is 5 star. We have stayed there in the past and had great experiences then as well. They have made a lot of aesthetic improvements and the property is well kept. |A special shout out for Coleen who works the front desk and is an amazing hostess and tries her best to make your stay just that much better with her “go the extra mile service.”|We will be returning again soon and tell friends and family about this special little place in Lewes that makes you feel special. |Thanks to all who work there and make it special. You deserve a lot of credit. |Jay Perkins

We had a wonderful time at Dogfish Inn! We stayed for 2 nights with our 6 month old. Not sure if it was intentional but they did place us on the first floor which was very helpful with unloading/loading all of our daughter’s stuff. They provided a crib for us (travel pack and play), and each room has 2 beach chairs, a beach bag, an umbrella and a growler (you could take the growler to a Dogfish restaurant and get it filled for 50% off!). They had a snack bar in the room (extra cost), and stocked the bathroom with plenty of amenities (soap, shampoo, towels, washcloths, hair dryer, Qtips, cotton balls, etc). They truly think of everything. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is great too, with shops/restaurants in walking distance and a 5 min drive to the beach. We will definitely be staying here next time we are in the Lewes area!

We loved our stay. The location put us close to everything we needed. The room was spotless and the entire place felt well cared for. The staff kept things simple and friendly. You get strong value for the price. I recommend Dogfish Inn to anyone looking for a great stay in Delaware.
