"Tucked just within the city walls, between Garbatella and Re di Roma, Dogma is making Piazza Zama a veritable dining destination. A relative newcomer to the Roman restaurant scene, this seafood grill from chef Gabriele di Lecce and sommelier Alessandra Serramondi has been making waves since it opened in 2022. The design is minimalist, with white walls and black tables, but the buzzing, tightly packed space and clattering of plates feels decidedly Roman. Di Lecce’s tight menu is traditional Italian with a contemporary twist. Everything is cooked on the grill, from a prettily-plated starter of anchovies with almonds and chicory to the cod fish, served with grilled chard and drizzled in honey from Casaletto in Campagna. The first courses of pasta change depending on what’s fresh that day–a recent visit featured fettucine with shrimp and charred courgette, and spaghetti with scampi and a sprinkling of hazelnuts. We Need More Restaurants Like This I honestly have no words to describe my experience at this restaurant. The owners, a couple who have created the perfect recipe for success, have poured their passion into every detail. The owner, who is also a sommelier, was incredibly kind and guided us perfectly when it came to the wines. The restaurant is located just outside of city center, but the trip is absolutely worth it as the scenery is breathtaking. The staff is extremely polite and never makes you feel rushed. The food is simply wonderful and imaginative. The prices are extremely reasonable for the amount, the food quality and the whole experience. The wines are unique, as they work exclusively with small vineyards. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

A very pleasant fine dining experience at Dogma Restaurant. The staff were very friendly and polite and the atmosphere was terrific for a date setting. It will be very beneficial if effort is made towards improving the first four courses including the bread, since the rest of the dishes were very satisfactory. A Michelin star could be in this restaurant’s future.

I had an absolutely delightful evening at this restaurant. The atmosphere was wonderfully pleasant and intimate, creating the perfect setting for a special dining experience. The staff demonstrated exceptional knowledge and attentiveness, taking time to thoroughly explain each dish and its components. We opted for the 7-course chef's tasting menu, which was a culinary journey of remarkable flavors and presentations. The chef even surprised us with a complimentary extra course, adding to the sense of being genuinely valued as guests. Every dish was exquisitely prepared, but the shrimp dish was particularly outstanding, and the dessert provided a perfect finale to the meal. What truly elevated the experience was the chef personally visiting each table after dinner, sharing insights and connecting with diners. Sunday night, dinner date, we opted for the 5 courses menu and we enjoyed every dish. The service was excellent, attentive and warm. Every dish was utterly delicious and perfectly balanced. The starters, the risotto with cauliflower and anchovies … everything cooked to perfection with love. Never boring, exceeded all our expectations. Kudos!

We had the pleasure of indulging in the five-course tasting menu for lunch at Dogma. Every single course was a delightful masterpiece, both in taste and presentation. Gabriele and Alessandra, the ambitious and passionate duo behind Dogma, have created something truly extraordinary in their three years of operation. Gabriele's culinary mastery shines through every dish, complemented by Alessandra's deep and infectious knowledge of the all the farms and vineyards they source their ingredients from. Her warm and generous hospitality really enhances the dining experience. We were recommended a delightful local Chardonnay that perfectly accompanied our meal. Moreover, the accommodation of a serious food allergy was handled with the utmost professionalism, understanding, and grace. Our three hours at Dogma felt special, and we can't wait to return to see what this exceptionally talented couple do next. Thank you for an unforgettable experience.

I love this place and I love the people who run it and work there. We come here with friends at least 4-6 times a year. I also bring anyone who comes to stay with us from abroad because the food is nothing short of sensational! Alessandra, who is at the front of house is wonderfully knowledgeable about wines and spirits and knows exactly which wine to pair with whatever you select; her husband Gabriele, the cook, is nothing short of a creative genius in the kitchen. The wait staff are wonderful, unobtrusive, courteous, and very helpful! Choose the 'Trapper' menu to get an idea of just how imaginative and inventive this restaurant gets with the cuisine without losing the subtlety of the different flavours; it never disappoints!

My husband and I came here and tried the five course tasting menu. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming and friendly. When asked what wine we'd like we weren't sure so the wine expert, who also happens to be one of the owners came over to help us pick something. All of the courses were incredible, the risotto is the best we've ever eaten. We found it was excellent value for money with the whole experience being exceptional.
