Google
I looooveee this cafe!!! The staff are absolutely incredible and create the best experience! Special shoutout to Andrew and Zach for being so nice and welcoming! I love coming here and chilling out in their lobby. They have a tonnn of seating, but it still gets super busy and filled up! The only thing that I don't like is how busy this place is, but it makes sense given how great every aspect of it is!!! Super lovely vibes and the drinks are even better. There's a ton of options on their menu for you to choose from and if you have any questions, the staff is super helpful with accommodations! I love their apple cider and I wish they had it 24/7! Super delicious. They also have a ton of parking which is great because Minneapolis is known for being difficult with that. I absolutely love the vibes of this place and definitely will be coming back all the time.

Google
Always visit this place when I’m in town. Love the atmosphere - spacious with a fun and goofy interior design. The coffee is consistently well made. They often have delicious seasonal, rotating drinks, too! Definitely worth a visit if you’re a coffee snob.

Google
I got a lavendar vanilla matcha and it was pretty good! The environment was also very remote work friendly. They had a ton of “cubicle” with outlets and and outdoor patio with seating!

Melina Morris

Google
(Visited from NJ) I’m so glad I stumbled upon this special spot! Chai latte pictured here but their coffee was great. This was a great space to work from for a little bit, too.

Casey Charging

Google
They have electricity at the booths. The food is great and the coffee is strong. It gets busy by 10, so if you come before you can probably get a booth.

Zach Roper

Google
Honestly a really great coffee shop. The coffee is good and the presentation on the foam seems to be something they take pride in. My only real issue with this place is I go to coffee shops to study and the ping pong table is fairly distracting 😅

David Larsen

Google
Perfect coffee shop experience! We enjoyed our delicious coffee and amazing pastries on the deck. Staff was incredibly pleasant, professional, and efficient despite a very busy day.

Google
Second time being here, first time enjoying my drink at the coffee shop. The staff felt genuinely nice and greeted me immediately. The menu is extensive and I tried something different and got the chaga chai. Menu said it had hints of cacao and mushroom - accurate (even if not my most favorite flavor). Seating inside was full so I sat on the patio-plenty of seating out there and perfect on a fall day!

Yelp
Best coffee shop in msp so far. I've gotten drip, a latte, and now an espresso tonic and everything is top quality. Ample seating and parking, there's always somewhere to sit. Music not too loud. Friendly and helpful baristas. Espresso sold in shop tastes great at home. Must stop for coffee in the twin cities!
google avatar

Tessa B.

Yelp
Parking was surprisingly easy! They have a parking lot in front and we easily found a spot on a Saturday at 11am. We ordered a regular park pass coffee, espresso, and vanilla latte that exceeded our expectations! The drinks didn't taste burnt and had great flavor! We ended up buying a bag or the Park Pass we were so impressed. The service was great and they answered all of our questions. There was lots of seating inside and outside (many people on their laptops and conversing with friends). The inside seating wasn't very comfortable if you're looking to stay a long time, but everything else was fabulous!

Yelp
A coffee shop with an activity of some sort will always be superior. Dogwood coffee has its own parking, ample seating, great coffee, AND ping pong...could you ask for more? Both drinks were on their seasonal menu, so run (don't walk) to your nearest Dogwood to try them. The salted maple cold foam cold brew was a bit subtle in flavor, which let's the coffee shine (but wish there was slightly more flavor since it was so good). Really loved the AOL - coffee can have citrusy notes, and that was brought out beautifully by the orange. That + the slight nuttiness and sweetness from the almond & the cinnamon on top was delish! Great space to chill for a while.

Yelp
Got there fairly early on a Saturday morning. Vibe was chill, people are friendly, lots of places to sit. Mmmmm, coffee is tasty and the pastries are from Marc Heu. I'm crazy about French pastries and his are among the best in the twin cities. I live in Minneapolis and was trekking to St. Paul only to learn from another fellow yelper that I can just come here. I can see this becoming one of my favorite coffee shops to go to. For reference, I also really like Ceres Cafes, Spyhouse, Fairgrounds and Cuppa Java.
google avatar

Michaela S.

Yelp
Great coffee, great staff, great place! I've had their coffee before but decided to try the butterfly pea lemonade. It was yummy and refreshing, and not too sweet. It gets pretty busy throughout the day with a lot of WFH people, so come early to snag a good spot with an outlet. I came at 1pm and there were no open spots inside, but there's a beautiful and shaded outdoor seating area.
google avatar

Ellie H.

Yelp
When I first walked in, I was a bit overwhelmed by how busy it was (at 9:00 on a weekday, no less!), but the business is popular for good reason. Set in a spacious and trendy renovated warehouse in Northeast Minneapolis, Dogwood coffee is a popular spot for people to work from home and study. There weren't any tables available, so I ended up doing my studying on a chair with my laptop perched on my knees. I opted for the seasonal sweet potato maple bourbon latte and was pleasantly surprised to find that all the advertised flavors are present in the drink, without any overpowering the other. It was a great place to power through some work--but when I return, I'll be sure to arrive early enough to snag a table!
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop! My boyfriend and I got our coffee to go but I am really looking forward to coming back and sitting in their bright and airy space. Service was great and they even had a designated room with a ping pong table! We both thoroughly enjoyed our coffees, look forward to making a stop at Dogwood Coffee again!
google avatar

Jackie C.

Yelp
Perfect for working from a coffee shop with a few friends! Enjoyed my latte, the music/vibe was fun, good service and there's free ping pong!!!
google avatar

Janae J.

Yelp
Super cool place. I stopped in to pick up my friends order it was a nice calm Sunday afternoon. Was greeted right away and the coffee options look great!
google avatar

Stefanie C.

Yelp
Ahhh!! I love Dogwood Coffee!! Seems like a popular place to co-work. It's so cute with chill vibes and lots of seating. There's even an outdoor patio I'd like to explore when the weather is nice (and if I'm in town) but in the meantime just got a Brown Sugar Cardamom Coffee and Lemon Pound Cake to-go on my way to work an event. The baristas are all super nice. The place gets crowded for good reason, and parking availability gets a little tight, but definitely somewhere I'm visiting again if I ever stay in this area.

Yelp
I can't believe it's taken me this long to try dogwood coffee! I've heard about Dogwood quite frequently for a number of years but for one reason or another, have never had the opportunity to take advantage of stopping into a location. That all changed today. I was running a few errands close by and remembered that this shop was set just block off of the main street. There are a lot of businesses in the area, as well as some pretty hefty construction going on right across the street, but luckily Dogwood has plentiful parking right in front so there was no issue finding a spot. Before even entering, I was impressed by the space as there was a large patio and colorful murals welcoming you. The artsy theme continued as you went inside with a large open industrial vibe with plentiful space to work, or catch up with friends. Heading over to the counter you can peek into glass doors and see where all of the dogwood roasting is taking place. I passed a small merch set up and was able to quickly place my to go order. Customer service was great, coffee was made with minimal wait and it tasted delicious. I grabbed my coffee and had it outside and after the first few sips decided that I will definitely be back again.
google avatar

Natalie C.

Yelp
Cute cafe that you can work or hang out with your friends. I got my usual order of chai and it was tasty! Love the variety on the menu.
google avatar

Markeda D.

Yelp
I came in at around 8:15 am. I did not get my drink until 8:50 am. I stood at the pick up area and no one cared to ask if I needed help. There was no line when I got there. I had to ask the barista again when my order would be ready, he admitted he forgot to call it then proceeded to quickly make my drink. I paid for a 16oz and received a 10oz. The female barista working threw a drink coupon down in front of me and didn't say anything. The male barista who made my drink picked it up and offered it to me. I politely declined, I will never give my money to a business who treated me so poorly again.
google avatar

Nicole T.

Yelp
Absolutely love this spot. The coffee is 10/10. Nothing bad to say just that I can't go everyday!!!!
google avatar

Dominik D.

Yelp
While coffee shops attached to refurbished industrial spaces aren't particularly rare in MPLS, this one has a nice vibe and makes a good cup of Joe. I would recommend it to the coffee shop type of crowd.

Yelp
Location, location, location. This one is IT! Large parking, hipster energy, friendly baristas, giant green lawn, open windows, dog friendly patio, Marc Heu Patisserie baked goods (gasp), indoor ping pong table, abundant work stations for those who work remote or wish to start some creative project - is a MOOD. Another mood is if you travel into the bathroom you may notice tiger wallpaper with Eye of the Tiger playing on repeat. No, you aren't going crazy - this is a fact. I'm a big fan of any specialty drinks so be sure to peek at this section as they seasonally rotate. My favorite right now is the Beach Please which is coconut cold brew with banana cold foam on top (pinch me) and the Spumoni Latte. If this review doesn't get you in, I don't know what will. Enjoy!
google avatar

Hallie O.

Yelp
I got the "Beach Please" cold brew and a croissant donut. Both were fantastic! There was lots of seating options and this was a great place to do homework. The booths have outlets and hooks for your bags. They also have a cute deck that had lots of outdoor seating/workspace. Parking was free and plentiful. They have their own parking lot. P.S... this is just a random fun face but their napkins are really soft lol!
google avatar

Jenny G.

Yelp
A busy coffee shop with booths great for meeting friends or studying! I did both today and had a great time. Good music, good coffee, and good company! I had the seasonal brown sugar cardamom iced latte and it was heavy on the cardamom and not to sweet- overall very yummy!
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
Marc hue baked goods in da house! Peeps in NE Mpls, no need to track all the way to St Paul. Lots of seating at Dogwood and amazing coffee to accompany your delicious croissant, cronuts, cookies and all that's good. The baristas and cashiers have impeccable customer service. I love their choices of water especially the sparkling option.
google avatar

Julia L.

Yelp
Dogwood is the best intersection between work, chat, and play. I think the work booths with outlets are the highlight here for those who like to work outside their home but still people watch. There's usually quieter music playing during the day. A whole outdoor patio as well when the weathers nice! As for coffee, I like their normal cold brew! Today I tried seasonal special "Beach Please" that is cold brew with coconut syrup and banana cold foam with sea salt. Although I usually love their coffees, this one was sadly a miss because you really can't taste the coconut nor the banana flavor :/ it's more like a slightly sweet cold brew with salty foam. I'll have to come back to try their other seasonal specials though!
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
Another work day means trying out another coffee shop! This time I went over to dogwood and worked here for a few hours. There is a decent amount of seats, so I didn't struggle for too long to find a spot. Their coffee is reasonably priced and really good. I ordered a honey lavender oat milk latte and it came in such a cute glass. Service is also super fast and kind. The inside is really cute, whoever is their graphic designer knows what they're doing!!
google avatar

Molly M.

Yelp
Great stop on a hot afternoon! We enjoyed iced drinks: Iced Matcha Latte & You're so Golden Iced. Both were refreshing. Great service! After they starting making our drinks, I noticed that they also offer fresh, local kombucha. They gave a taste of the delicious mango kombucha-NEXT time, Dogwood Coffee.
google avatar

Trina V.

Yelp
I love Dogwood coffee and I think this is one of my favorite locations because it has so many table/outlet options and is pretty spreadout. I love the art in the space and the bright and airy vibe since there is a big window letting light in. The servers were super friendly, and the drinks are solid as always. I love Dogwood Lattes because they aren't overly sweet and you can taste the coffee. This is a good spot to study or work in.
google avatar

Amber J.

Yelp
As someone who went to the University of Minnesota, I have been to Dogwood Coffee many times! I now live in St. Louis Park, and I still find my way here every so often. I tried the brown sugar cardamom latte at my most recent visit. Dogwood somehow nails the perfect balance of sweetness while still maintaining the coffee flavor. Their espresso also gets me JAZZED when I drink it, so I know it's the real deal (coming from a coffee addict). I also tried the chocolate pistachio escargot made by Marc Heu Patisserie Paris. This essentially was a croissant rolled with pistachios and chocolate- basically a delicious sweet, buttery, and salty treat. Give this a try if they have it in stock! My boyfriend tried the eggnog latte, another winter special. He was a big fan! Ambiance: it could be 7 AM or 1 PM and this place will be busy. This is definitely one of (if not the most) popular coffee shop in NE. This is a lovely place to study or chat with friends! There is a lot of seating to choose from, whether you prefer a small booth or a couch. There is also outlets at every seating area which makes studying so easy. Parking: there is a plethora of parking. They have their own giant parking lot, so parking is a breeze. Service: the baristas here have always been kind and quick at making drinks. They also make the lattes very consistent which is greatly appreciated.
google avatar

Robyn L.

Yelp
Went here for a little study hang this morning and it was great! Good combo of indoor and outdoor space. It was a beautiful day so they had all the garage doors open. Concrete floors modern feel. LOVE that it is spacious and you don't feel like you're cramped in here. Plenty of different seating options too from couches to stools to booths. Ample free parking. This is my favorite location in the cities. Dogwood is the best coffee. Also they have kombucha on tap! Hard to Find in the cities and I am a big fan.
google avatar

Caitlin U.

Yelp
I am so happy to have found this place. I met up with a friend here since we have not talked in a while and it was a great place for conversation.. We both really liked this place. They have a free ping-pong area as well. It's a great place to study. They have little cubbies seats where people can do work/school work. They also have couch seating area, which is also comfy and nice for chatting with friends. They have a free parking lot. My only complaint is this place is hard to find. Maybe have more signs directing people to your business might be helpful. We got super lost and ended up at the brewery which is right next door. I love that they have a variety of stuff not just coffee. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I do like hot chocolate and hot apple cider. I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
I was meeting a friend in Minneapolis and had time to get a coffee before the meet up. I like finding new places and Dogwood was new to me so I gave it a try. Parking was difficult and after trying to parallel park, someone left a front door parking spot and I gladly pulled in. My latte was made with love including heart art to top it off. Loved the atmosphere. Some folks meeting but many on their computers enjoying the digital/coffee experience. Loved the stop.
google avatar

Anushka M.

Yelp
They have their own parking lot!! I feel that's important to share since it's located in Minneapolis where parking can sometimes be a struggle. This dogwood location has a large indoor and outdoor seating area. Perfect to get work done. I ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk and a chocolate croissant. Both were delicious. It's hard to say no to a place with good coffee and easy access study spots. I'd love to come back and bring my laptop to spend the day here. Also love the artwork on the building!
google avatar

Katherine C.

Yelp
Honestly every time I go there the drinks have just been okay. I've tried their specialty drinks, their chai, their lattes. Fine but nothing special and honestly a bit bland (or too milky). The parking lot is nice and I've never had a problem finding a parking spot, but inside the shop is a different story. I've been lucky most times I've been there and a booth or working space has opened up or been about to open up right when I was hunting for a space. Otherwise it could be difficult to find a spot because there are a lot of people hunkered down to do work there. I will say this is the best coffeeshop for productivity. If you can find a spot in their booths then it's a great space to focus and get some work done. Plentiful outlets and the noise and coffeeshop music isn't too loud.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Always consistent, always great. Even when they have a line out the door, the staff are friendly, and the quality of the coffee and coffee drinks are great. Love their outdoor patio and pastries are also always awesome!
google avatar

Gary K.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite coffee shops in NE Minneapolis. The food is great along with the service and ambiance. There are lots of booths and places to sit.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
This is the best coffee shop in Minneapolis! I can't say enough good things about it. If you are looking for good coffee, friendly staff, and a fun place to socialize or get work done, this is the place to go. I've tried many of the coffee shops around the city and the espresso at dogwood is unmatched. I usually stick to espresso drinks so I can't comment on the drip coffee, but I've heard it is also very good. They also have a small selection of beer on tap! The staff is some of the best. Always super friendly, hard working, and make an effort to get to know the customers. The shop is great for studying or getting work done. They have individual booths and larger tables if you're there with a group. They each have they're own outlets which is a huge plus for the long mornings working on my computer there.
google avatar

Tara V.

Yelp
Cute!! The staff was so helpful and trendy, the matcha is excellent, if a little expensive. They have snacks available, beer, cider and a great atmosphere! The only con was that the seating could've been better- it wasn't super comfy
google avatar

Isabelle H.

Yelp
My PANTS ripped in PUBLIC and no one at this artsy coffee shop told me! The food and coffee was great, and the atmosphere would have been nice if someone had just told me about my pants instead of everyone in this coffee shop just making awkward pleading glances in my direction. I learned my butt was out when I sat down on a very cute chair and found it a bit too cold. I needed a hero and apparently none go to this shop. If you see something... say something! Truly one of the most embarrassing things that has happened to me but at least the coffee was nice.
google avatar

Hayley B.

Yelp
Had really friendly service this time! Barista made friendly convo and seemed in a good mood, a far cry from the dozen other times I've been a patron of this location. I love that they carry Sweetland Orchard on tap and often skip the coffee in lieu of the tap cider. So excited they're becoming friendly here. Makes me want to return soon, imagine that!
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
It's...ok? The coffee is better than Starbucks, but not as good as Spyhouse. Very big, very bright inside, painted in some shade of gray. Sort of cold and impersonal, kind of like the IKEA dining area, although IKEA is nicer. Not as nice as your average starbucks. Limited food options, less than starbucks The do sell tap beer, so that is a plus. They open at 7, so an hour after Spyhouse (Boo)
google avatar

Scott F.

Yelp
One of the very best roasters and establishments in the greater Twin Cities. Look at the sheer number of quality dining establishments that use Dogwood coffee or order at of the store or online any you will get a top quality product! They are bar setters in their craft and have fresh roasted beans that do not disappoint. This flagship store in NE has become my study place of choice with great coffee, mixed drinks and a delicious menu. Add a ping pong room, several well crafted hangout areas and an industrIal feel you have a place filled with Millennials that makes all the generations smile!
google avatar

Chara B.

Yelp
I've been here a few times and every single time the staff is super nice and very friendly. Also every time I've been here it has been pretty full which is a good sign. I enjoy sitting in the coffee shop especially when it is nice outside and they have all the doors and windows etc open, it makes it feel so amazing! I love the matcha latte with almond milk, it is never too sweet which makes me happy.. most of the time most matchas are too sweet. I also love the iced tea options, the berry hibiscus being my top fave.
google avatar

Miranda W.

Yelp
Cute! Spacious! Delicious, fresh espresso drinks! Really good matcha. What more could you ask for? This location is a great spot to get work done. Peaceful/calm/quiet vibe with lots of seating, outlets, etc. I like it here. I'll be back.
google avatar

Michelle A.

Yelp
I love this place! I love the open space but with two-seater cubicles that give a little privacy to work! The vibe is super chill and not too loud even though there's people working, meeting together or just hanging out. There's delicious coffee (today I had the brown sugar cardamom latte - yum! Not too sweet and the perfect amount of cozy cardamom!), teas, an assortment of pastries and different goods in the refrigerated section like kombucha, sparkling waters and salads. If you're in northeast MN, this is a place worth stopping by!
google avatar

Minh D.

Yelp
This place is like an office, out of your normal office. I was so surpised seeing the "cubicles" , narrow section seating space to work inside. Didn't feel like your average coffee shop but surprisingly very effective when you need to get work done. Outlets are available because most people come here to work or study. The space is both indoor and outdoor, very open and spacious with different seating options. There are couch and normal tables to seat at too, not just the cubicles I ordered the iced latte with oat milk. It was soo creamy and dairy like, I genuinely thought it was so cow's milk. But it was very good though, subtly sweet and smooth. The cashier is very helpful and friendly. Also, they have 10% off for students.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Amazingly great brews at this bright airy location. The private booths are higher almost as in an old diner with high wooden booths but more modern looking. The brewery, (coffee beans that is), can be seen from the entrance. I've had their product at a few select shops around the cities and it is a power brew and the dark roast is extra strong. Non-acidic with a delightful aftertaste I really feel we are on par with Seattle for great coffee roasters. This is another of the almost hidden coffee bars in N.E. Mpls in what was once an area of old warehouses and factories. Looks like a quiet place, (the alt-rock) is turned down so you would be able to hear your friends talking their trash. Be aware this place is more pricey than others but the coffee is certainly in the premium ranking.
google avatar

Caroline P.

Yelp
I hadn't been here pro-covid, but I love how it is set up during covid. It's so easy to order ahead, walk in, and grab your coffee. Plus the baristas still say hello which is nice since my level of in person human interaction has severely dropped this winter. Also they have Marc Heu Patisserie Pastries for those of us (me) too lazy to drive across the river so early in the morning, and they are THE BEST! Thank you!
google avatar

Sarah N.

Yelp
Extra points to Dogwood for having the coolest pac man 6ft distance markers! By far the best covid friendly reservation system I've seen so far and a super friendly staff who explains it if you decide to stay. Great cup of coffee! The drips all have great names (I'm a sucker for good marketing). Plus, they frankly have the coolest automated pour over set up I've ever seen ! A cool vibe, a chill crowd, good music, covid friendly; what else can a girl ask for in a coffee shop? Make sure to stop in!

Meghan S.

Yelp
Super great atmosphere to work or study! I tried their seasonal Spumoni latte and their croissant doughnut and both were amazing! There is plenty of parking space and spaces to work inside and outside.
google avatar

Maria P.

Yelp
We were in town from California looking for some good coffee, and we found it! Great knowledge staff, and even better coffee. We got Spumoni latte mine was iced, it was lovely-- my girlfriend ordered hers hot, she enjoyed it as well. We plan to come back before we leave Minnesota. Thank you!
google avatar

Chelsea C.

Yelp
Easily the best lattes in the city. Staff is always friendly. Can be a bit loud inside, but in an energizing way.
google avatar

Joiterius A. M.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots to visit and grab some great coffee. If you're looking to sit down... come early it fills up pretty quickly. The vibes are nice and the employees are so kind.
google avatar

Valentina P.

Yelp
My first impression of Dogwood coffee was a really good one! The coffee was really good, I got what I always get at any new coffee shop, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The iced tea was also pretty good, although I think it would be better as a iced tea lemonade, but I don't think they had that as an option. When we got there, there was some construction outside leading to the coffee shop, but nothing too ridiculous, and the amount of parking is a huge plus. This location is where they roast their coffee so it was fun to see that behind the glass, and they also have a very cool ping pong room. There was plenty of seating as well but not really intended for groups of more than 2-4 people. I really enjoyed the plain black mugs, because this place was very fun and outgoing with the colorful walls, so the balance was really nice.
