I had two rolls the Spider Roll and crunchy Crab roll. Although they were made to order it didn't have that fresh taste to me. The Softshell crab was VERY SALTY and didnt look fresh, which ruined the whole roll! I was expecting more for the price but left disappointed. The presentation was nice.

HIGH PRAISE. I'm always on the lookout for the freshest and best sushi out there, this place was surprisingly amazing. Came on a weekend, kinda empty so didn't expect much. Ordered just the salmon nigiri, charred salmon nigiri and eel nigiri. And oh my god I was surprised. The fish was fresh but more importantly it was so fatty it melts in your mouth - and the charred one took it to the next level by adding some smokiness and rendering some of that fat, it has a buttery mouth feel. The eel was amazing as well. Also ordered the sesame chili noodles and they tasted really good too, just note they're eaten cold not warm. They weren't inventive with them or anything (which I highly dislike, I only wanna taste the fish, not some cream cheese.) The fish stood out so well. Best of all the price was great. I'm surprised they haven't priced it higher, maybe due to foot traffic. They deserve an award just for these few nigiri pieces.

Doki Doki Sushi is is one of several culinary offerings in The Heights Food Hall located in Chevy Chase, MD. The sushi was fresh and tasty. I opted for the Waifu special sushi roll with shrimp tempura, cream cheese, cucumber, spicy mayo, Kani Krab stick and crispy noodles. Doki Doki ha s pretty extensive menu of various sushi rolls and other appetizers. Their spicy tuna nachos sound delicious and are on my list to try next time. It’s worth noting that Doki Doki was co-founded by a Kevin Tien, a James Beard award-winning chef. You can order via your table or at the Doki Doki kiosk. Once you place your order at the kiosk, you select a playing card and take it to your table and wait for their waitstaff to deliver your order. If you find yourself with a taste for delicious sushi and you’re in Chevy Chase, consider stopping by The Heights and trying Doki Doki.

The chef made an order for me despite coming right at closing when he definitely didn't have to for my post partum wife in the hospital. Delicious salmon roll, great price, made by nice people. What's there not to love? Our go to spot now, they'll forever have a loyal customer!

The sushi is so fresh. Don’t down look it since it’s in the ‘food court’. Great taste for sure!
