Google
I am not from CO, so I didn’t know where to go for a REALLY GOOD AUTHENTIC ITALIAN LOAF of bread! I so happy that I was able to find Dolce Sicilia Italian Bakery because their bread is absolutely incredible! I ordered the caprese focaccia, two pastries, a cup of coffee, and a loaf of ciabatta bread! The focaccia was nothing less than exquisite! It was a pretty big size too! (6” by 6”) It had fresh mozzarella and baby tomatoes with a touch of basil that smelled like it was picked from a garden this morning! I couldn’t help but big in before taking some photos! All the staff were so friendly including a very nice young woman from southern Italy that had such a beautiful accent! My grandmother is Italian so believe me when I say there is a difference between Americans and Italians making bread! Americans can make some pretty yummy dishes but leave it to the Europeans to make high quality breads! My overall experience was stellar! There are only two things that I would critique. One is that the FREE water dispenser was not full, however it was quickly refilled soon after I asked! I love that they have the water dispenser because it really gives an “I care about my customers” vibe. The second would be the air conditioning. It is a little bit hot in here, however, I can’t give them hell for it because it’s mostly likely because of the ovens making FRESH BREAD!!! 11/10 recommend!!!

Google
I am so grateful that we have found this hidden gem. About a 40 minute drive from us that is well worth it. All the food and pastries are very fairly priced. So far we have enjoyed everything that we have tried. The sandwiches, rice balls, and pizza are so delicious. All the pastries I have tried are so authentic and take me on tour of Italian flavors. I love their croissants and lobster tails. The apricot croissants are my favorite but I also enjoy any of their pastries with ricotta. The biscotti is on point in the most fabulous with the cappuccino or espresso.

Google
I live in the southeast Denver metro area, but make the drive out to Wheat Ridge because Dolce Sicilia is the bomb! The pizza and cannoli are the best in town (and it’s not even close). I just returned from Palermo, Sicily. If you’re looking for Southern Italian food that rivals what you would find in Puglia or Sicily, make the drive to Dolce Sicilia!

Google
I got the BEST mocha latte I've ever had! And more pastry sugar than I need but everything has been delicious! It smells like almond and anise when you walk in the door and just gets better from there. I've been in a few times and staff is always eager to help me or step in to help someone else while I decide between almond cookies, brownie cookies, or more thumbprints. Thank you for sooo many yummy options!

Google
What a great find! A bakery, Italian specialty store, and fresh food. The Gelato is is good. The marshmallow Gelato has marshmallows in it. I combined thay with the dark chocolate. Yum! I got an almond cookie. I wanted to see how it tested against an almond from the East coast that I had learned to make. It was perfect. I hope to be in this area again soon for another visit.

Google
One of my very favorite bakeries! I live in Parker, so this place is at least a 40 minute drive, but I stop by at least once a month to grab a load of goodies before visiting my Nonna and Papa. We are Italian by heritage and this place tastes like home! They have a great selection of cookies, pastries, breads & pizza. The cannoli's were the best I've ever tasted - crunchy shell, light, creamy sweet ricotta filling. The pignoli and thumbprint cookies are my favorite! The rustic Italian bread is incredible for sandwiches, so I always pick up a loaf and if you're looking for a whole meal the calzones and pizzas are also incredible! Family owned, kind staff and the best food! Highly recommend!

Google
We stopped by this past Sunday and everything was delicious! The staff was friendly and fast. I really enjoyed the apricot bow ties and pistachio cookies! We will definitely be back to try some other pastries.

Google
I have been coming here for about 5 years now. It is such a lovely bakery. They have amazing coffee. The caprese pizza is the best pizza around. My husband loves their lasagna. Their crossiants are fantastic. I love their pistachio biscotti. They have amazing truffle focaccia. Honestly, you name it. we have probably tried it and adored it. It is truly a wonderful place to grab a treat or a meal. The people are so kind. It is a full gem of an establishment. Do yourself a favor and try their Tiramisu. I have never liked tiramisu from anywhere else. It is phenomenal

Yelp
Everything we've had so far has been pretty delicious. We've been a few times and all in all tried: the Sicilian bread loaf, ciabatta, pizza, cannoli, rainbow cake, a fruit tart, and the lobster tail. And the espresso. Some people on the reviews here have complained about the price, but it's Denver and this is one of the only good Italian bakeries I've been to in the area. So, in my opinion, it's worth the price.

Yelp
One of my favorite places. Literally everybody in my house hold orders from here, I went in today to get a meatball sub and asked for peppers to be added to the sammich but the girl behind the counter told me the cook was "too busy to add peppers to the hoagie because she's busy with other orders." Nobody else was there and the time was 2:28 they close at 3. Never again.

Yelp
For a long time I've been interested in visiting this place because it has so many glowing reviews. We did so this week and while we enjoyed the visit it is not that fantastic a place. It does serve many baked goods and other things which do look scrumptious. Inside when we arrived it was quite hot which I figured was simply because it was a bakery. However had we wanted to sit down inside it might have slowed our desire to do so. As it was I did peruse the goodies and picked out the lobster tail stuffed pastry and the rainbow cookie. No question they do look quite attractive. But sorry I can't give this place 5 stars. The stuffed pastry was quite good and full of a filling that tasted pretty good. The rainbow cookie according to the one who ate it was dry. Pricing seemed a little high to me. The lobster tail pastry was $8 and the rainbow cookie was $3 but it was a very small slice. I did buy two slices but both were dry. This seems like a very nice place and the people were friendly enough but it's hard to draw any conclusions. The cannoli looked pretty good and they had a nice selection to choose from. I took a few photos and can only say I was not as thrilled as I had hoped but it's a place that does offer some pretty good items. Overall it's a decent place even though this time I was not overwhelmed by it.

Yelp
What a selection!! Came because I wanted to try a rainbow cookie for the first time and it was great! Absolutely amazing eclair with soft perfectly baked pastry and delicious cream inside! Also enjoyed the pistachio cannoli. Can't wait to try more savory options and breads another time!

Yelp
Delicious coffee and pastries! Real authentic Italian. The baker was speaking fluent Italian to other patrons while we were there. The lobster tails were yummy, the crust was crunchy and the it had a cream/custard lemon vanilla type filling. Someone else ordered the lasagna while we were here. We must come back to try that. Looked SO GOOD!

Robert W.

Yelp
The absolute best authentic Italian breads .... and try as I might, I cannot avoid the delicious, fresh baked pastries and individual pizzas. I appreciate the lack of preservatives and the prices being slightly higher than supermarket baked items is understandable given the quality and service. Dolce Sicilia is consistently a favorite!

John A.

Yelp
Amazing pastries and the taste! Omg so worth the drive, service is always welcoming and warm!

Yelp
Very good. I have never been in just ordered through Postmates and it almost makes me want to leave my house. :)

Another year, another trip to get the coveted Pantone! Staff is great as always and I am always happy to pick up my holiday favorites!

Yelp
Definitely a place to stop by to try a variety of delicious Italian treats. Met my parents and 15 year old nephew for lunch. My parents insisted we all order the meatball sandwich. It comes on an 8-9" hoagie roll baked in house of course, with 4 medium sized meatballs, marinara, and ricotta. All the ingredients are tasty, but it is a more than a little messy and wieldy to eat, with meatballs slipping out. I wish they had oiled and toasted the inside of the bread so it didn't get soggy, but that's just my nitpick. Would recommend if you like meatball subs. I think it was $12 or maybe $14 per sandwich (as of 6/2024). Technically I could have finished the whole thing but on a warm summer day I just ate half and took the other half home. They also have calzones and a variety of pizza. The pizza looked really good so I think if I ever go back that's what I'll try. The calzones looked enormous. Afterwards we each got a dessert. I tried a pine nut cookie but then saw it was gluten free. The cookie is basically an American style macaron with almond paste and egg white, then topped with pine nuts. Not the most exciting option but it was fine. I also got a single shot of espresso ($2.50). They had a double shot for $3.50. I kinda wish they just sold the double for like, $3. It was good espresso and they served it in a real porcelain cup with a saucer, so kinda fancy. My nephew got a custard eclair with chocolate icing that looked really good. All the baked goods look super-appetizing. One weird thing was the pricing wasn't super obvious when I was looking at the cooler and cookie shelves. They had a few breakfast options. Everyone working there was very nice even when my parents were talking in a confusing way about what they were ordering and if it was for there or to go.

Yelp
The finest Italian bakery you may ever be at. I have been to Italian bakeries in Sicily, Naples, Rome, Florence and Venice. I grew up in an Italian neighborhood in NY. I have eaten pastries in Little Italy and Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. Dolce Scilia is THE BEST. A Sicilian baker with years of experience owns this place. Everything we tried was EXCELLENT and AUTHENTIC. Colorado, I don't live here, I am jealous. BREAD, PIZZA, ITALIAN COOKIES AND MORE. Enjoy. We did. We come here everytime we visit family.
google avatar

Alan M.

Yelp
Wonderful bakery for some authentic Sicilian pastries, cookies and other delicious baked treats.

Inga F.

Yelp
I'm new in the Denver area and was looking for the perfect loaf of bread. I didn't know where I was going. And GPS led me into the middle of a construction zone but it was well worth it. Absolutely one of the tastiest loaves of bread I've ever had!
google avatar

Renee M.

Yelp
The food is amazing. We had the calzone and cannolis, they were delicious. I don't live close to this bakery but plan on going back at least once a month.
google avatar

Yelp
I went for lunch and dessert today for the first time. It was busy, and hard to figure out where the line was going. My sausage calzone was very good, although my leftovers were better once I popped them in my toaster oven and got it hotter and the bread crisp than it was when it was served. The desserts were fantastic! I tried the mini pistachio cannoli, pistachio cookies, almond and pine nut amaretti cookies too--all fabulous! The desserts are widely varied...I wanted everything!! But it is expensive: my 6 cookies and 2 mini cannolis were just under $20. Ouch. But I know these kinds of things are a lot of work to bake, so I guess that's why. I hope to get there again sometime, though it's far from my area.
google avatar

Alisa J.

Yelp
Amazing bakery! We tried both cannolis, the lobster tail, gingerbread biscotti, margarita pizza slice, and another pastry with orange in it that I have no idea how to pronounce or spell. Everything was amazing and not too sweet! Good service as well. Not a huge fan of cannolis or biscotti but these ones were amazing! Can't wait to go back for more!
google avatar

David G.

Yelp
This place is authentic, legit.....and dam delicious. For one of my family they wanted cannoli ...... used yelp and up came Dolce. Their selection of tiramisu, cookies, cannoli , and sweets is pretty fantastic. Now they don't have the crazy selection and flavor like Mike's in Boston...but for Denver this places is awesome. They had two flavors: chocolate chip and pistachio....both great. Perfect crunch on the outside and creamy smooth filling. Service was AWESOME! The lady that helped us gave us the Tiramisu gratis as it was for a Birthday. I would come back in a heartbeat and try their meals too!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Took me right back to my time in Firenze - mi piace tutti! If you have time, order a doppio espresso e sfogliatelle con zucchero vello. Put your phone down and enjoy the moment. It's the best 15 minutes you didn't know you needed.
google avatar

Terry C.

Yelp
The cookies! The pizza! The bread! The biscotti! And the best dang Americano in Wheat Ridge for decades. Blows my mind this place isn't packed every morning. So chill and such great service.

Yelp
Friendly Authentic And tasty This is a neighborhood bakery Loved the vibe, and cannoli with espresso
google avatar

Michele M.

Yelp
The pastries were good but a overpriced. I'm not sure I would drive the distance for them again unless I was in the area. The customer service was good. They didn't give any recommendations or offer any advise on what they are known for. Considering I made it known I had never visited their establishment before you think they would have tried to offer some suggestions. If I happen to be in the area again I may try some lunch items or some breads. Overall it was ok.
google avatar

Bennett P.

Yelp
It's been a few months since my last visit. After going to Italy in Sept/Oct this year I looked around for other Italian bakeries but this one is better. Very nice staff. Lots of customers. They offer 7 different biscotti + cookies, cannoli, panettone and lunch items. I got Pecan Amaretti cookies with a cappuccino for here, then got biscotti & cannoli to take home.
google avatar

Alyssa D.

Yelp
Divine is an understatement. I'd heard of this bakery for a long time, and finally stopped inside. I will forever be a regular now. The selection is vast and every single item is delicious. The sweetness of the pastries is perfect -- not overpowering by any means. Service was friendly and patient and helpful! Really had the best experience. Can't wait to go back.

Brent B.

Yelp
Great bakery offering cookies, cannolis, tricolor cake that are exquisite, sesame seed cookies, almond cookies, breads and pizza. The cookies are truly authentic Sicilian recipes using less sugar than similar cookies. Molto benne!
google avatar

Robert W.

Yelp
Breads that will cause you to never eat supermarket breads again plus deserts that will destroy any diet! Great service-- a neighborhood treasure.

Itxaso I.

Yelp
We had the Panetone as a Christmas gift a couple of days ago and it was "out of this world" OMG! I just had the last piece and looked for this place online to go and check out what other amazing pastries and pizzas they have in the store. ;-) Loved it!!! Delicious!!!

Yelp
Ciabatta is amazing and cookies are great it's a good thing I don't live closer or I would go every day

Yelp
I am soooo disappointed with the service I received at Dolces today. I was told I could not choose the pasty that I wanted out of the display case. I was told I had to take the one that was in the back of the case closest to the person filling my box. unfortunately the one in the back was not as appealing as the one in the front. I was shocked to say the least. at $6 a pastry I as a customer feel I should be able to choose the one I liked. same as I do at a butcher shop when I choose an item. I have shopped many times at Dolce and have spent a lot of money. That said I chose to not purchase any pastries at all. I probably would have spent over $50 as I normally have done in the past. I asked the cashier that denied me the item I wanted to let the owner know and she said she would. Business must be very good for them to be able to treat customers that way I was treated as they lost a decent sale. I'm doubting I'll ever go back as there are many other bakeries to choose from.

T M.

Yelp
I've been coming here for many years now, now I'll need to find a new " Authentic " Italian pastry! I'm full blooded Italian, and my parent's are from Napoli. They used to make real tasty Shfolodela's, not anymore! I bought 6 of them, tasted one, and ended up throwing them away! There was absolutely no flavor of orange or lemon! The filling inside was only filled and the tip, and fell apart as I bit into it! I heard that the original owner had passed away....it's a shame to leave your bakery to people who can not bake! Besides, Shfolodela originated in Napoli. I think they need more training of how to make these delicious Napolitana pastries! I will definitely not be back!

Yelp
This place is legit! I was out shopping and got hangry, so I decided to look up a place near by for lunch. Decided to check this bakery out , and I'm glad I did! It was the afternoon , so they were low on bread choiced, but I ended up getting a ciabatta. Although the lunch menu is limited, I ended up going with an eggplant parm sandwich. As I was waiting for my sandwich, I couldn't help but order a few more desserts because the displays looked amazing! I went for the rainbow cookies and cream puffs. Theres plenty of other assortment of italian pastries to try there though My sandwich came out shortly after. It was a nice day out , so I decided to eat on the patio area they have. It's not the largest space but enough room if it's not busy. The sandwich came with a bag of chips, it was also on the homemade bread! You can tell they do everything there is from scratch and homemade. The bread is light, fluffy but crunchy. The eggplant parm inside was delicious and ratio of bread to eggplant was on point. I ended up trying the desserts a few days later and I was not disappointed there either. The cream puffs are sweet but not overly sweet and made with love. Will be going back here to try other things and this will be my go to for bread and desserts!

Yelp
The bakery is clean and the bake goods are great and I would recommend to come in thank you guys

Ashley R.

Yelp
Best cannoli I've ever had in my life. You can actually bite into it, the filling is so fresh and not overpowering. Absolutely great service and the flavors of EVERYTHING... wow!

Dustin M.

Yelp
The cannolis are LEGIT. Service was quick and courteous, and the vibe was pleasantly chill.

Lisa S.

Yelp
This place is incredible! Family owned and operated creating the most delectable breads & pastries! Coffee and pizza are the best I've ever had. Love this place!!

John N.

Yelp
Everything is overpriced. Also, the following has happened several times. I arrive and the people behind the counter look at me, say nothing, and I have to initiate the transaction by stating I would like to purchase items. What is purchased is good, but too expensive. I decided there is no reason to return to a place to buy overpriced items when the service is poor. If the employees do not like their jobs, or dislike interacting with the public, and if management dislikes being in business, then this place needs to close. The "2" rating should be a "1" except that the items purchased are good.

Cathy C.

Yelp
Fantastic! Definitely get the lobster tail and if they have the burrata, prosciutto, and arugula pizza. Or the pistachio cannoli. Or the tiramisu. Or the focaccia. Or the calzone... yeah, it's all authentic and on point!
google avatar

Frank C.

Yelp
Five years after my first visit here, I'm still stopping in. I have yet, in these five years, found a better Italian Bakery. I live in the North Metro area, and whenever I'm down in this neck of the woods, I have to stop in. I just can't go by without stopping. An awesome bakery!
google avatar

Sara N.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place and keep an open mind since Italian bakeries are few and far between off the East Coast. I got 2 mini cannolis, a Sfogliatelle, a tiramisu, a few Sicilian cookies, a rum baba, a cream puff a lobster tail, and a raspberry twist. I was disappointed not just with the flavor but the quality. The large cannolis were filled this morning which tells me they were going to be soggy and should have been my first clue. I refuse to order cannolis that aren't filled to order because the shell gets soggy. The smaller cannolis were kind of stale tasting and a huge disappointment but I got them because they just put out while we were standing there and figured they were fresh. The cream puff wasn't flaky at all and was weeping. Yes, we went towards the end of the day but I have my doubts they were baked today. The Sfogliatelle and the lobster tail were chewy and stale, not the rich flaky crust it should be. The raspberry twist wasn't very raspberry at all and again, it was dense and chewy, not light and buttery. The Sicilian cookies weren't bad but not worth the price I paid for them. My older one said the tiramisu was gritty but only ate it because it was pretty expensive. The woman at the counter was friendly enough I guess, but for what I paid, I should have been hankering for more. Instead, I won't be coming back.
google avatar

Becca B.

Yelp
What a surprise gem! I've driven by this place a dozen times and I'm so glad I finally stopped in. They have freshly baked loaves of bread in a variety of kinds, a whole display window of freshly baked biscotti, fresh calzones, cookies, cannolis, cakes.. what DON'T they have? Everything smelled and looked heavenly and was fairly priced. If you find yourself in the neighborhood stop into this charming locally-owned bakery with Italian flare.
google avatar

Brandon C.

Yelp
Amazing Italian bakery the cookies are incredible. I'm addicted. Everything is wonderful. Old-school great vibe strip mall hole in the wall. That's how we love it right...

Bradley M.

Yelp
Just moved here from Connecticut. Best Italian spot I've found in the last 2 months. Their Sicilian style pizza is great, and the cannoli is awesome. The rice ball was great too, shocked that they have it as I haven't found that anywhere other than NYC.
google avatar

Richard G.

Yelp
Omg it was 30.00 for 9 Italian cookies. I love a great Pinole and I love a tri colored cookie. Both tasted great but really agast at the 30.00 a lb for cookies. I think I will try a pastry next time.
google avatar

Gabriella S.

Yelp
Known for their sweet treats, but dang their savory selection hits! Parms, pizza, and calzones: they keep it classic, but that does not mean the flavors are simple. Always get an extra side of sauce for those heavy dunks! Family-owned an operated, the staff is always inviting and quite patient with how overwhelmed I am selecting all the baked goodies I want to bring home. My favorite of those being the lobster tail!

Daniel C.

Yelp
Pizza is not good. Probably better fresh. The cheese is slimy and gross and people who reheated it didn't leave it in oven long enough. The lobster tail pastry was okay but hard to eat as outside was so tough and chewy. The calzone was undercooked and again, slimy cheese. Also, am I supposed to just guess that a sausage calzone would have mushrooms? Should mention it on the sign. I really don't understand why people love this place.
google avatar

Mary D.

Yelp
Loved this place so much we went 3 times while in town. Delicious! Location is easy to find.

Elaine M.

Yelp
This is the real deal. We're Italian American. Part of the family from Sicily. We all grew up on RI where Italian goods and bakeries are abundant and delicious! At Dolce Sicilia we find the same foods made with the same attention to authentic Italian flavors! Try the arancini, you'll think you stopped in a take- out in Rome. The pizzas are scrumptious. Order foods with a side of marinara sauce, oh my! And don't miss the fabulous coffees and pastries and breads. Go for biscotti, cookies, cannoli, tiramisu, and that Almalfi special, sfogliatelle! Buon Appetito!
google avatar

Joe M.

Yelp
Best Italian pastry shop I've experienced since leaving east coast thirty years ago. They have all expected treats prepared perfectly -- reminds me of La Bella Ferrara in Little Italy in NY . Also - you can grab a nice lunch because they also have items and a few tables - great cappuccino to top it off. Can't say enough about the cannolis, rum Ba Ba, biscotti ... and so much more. Just go and bring home a few white boxes full of tasty treats!
google avatar

Cece S.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Dolce Sicilia after a very long time of wanting to stop by. Everything is absolutely delicious, but I especially recommend the cannolis and more specifically, the chocolate and orange rind cannolis. While I didn't try everything, I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong with anything!
google avatar

Lindsay T.

Yelp
After watching "Italian week" on Great British Bake-off we were craving serious Sicilian desserts and I stumbled upon Dolce Sicilia. It totally hit the spot-we went for several treats to sample and all were delicious. My personal craving was for a lobster tail and it was delightful-the cream was light, the pastry buttery and has the perfect snap and soft give at the same time. We also got two cannoli and they were yummy (crunchy shells, filling was not too sweet). So excited to know about this spot in my neighborhood for future dessert runs. Grazie!
