The 25 Best Things to Eat At Disneyland, Ranked - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Location: Enchanted Tiki Room, Adventureland, Disneyland Surprise, surprise. The single most famous item of food at Disneyland is also the best, and if you come to the park without eating this glorious mountain of soft serve, you probably shouldn’t even tell people you came. Yes, there are lots of different flavors and add-ons these days (like the incredible chile-mango around the corner at Tropical Hideaway), but there’s still something so pure about the silky-smooth pineapple original. Whichever flavor you go with, just be sure to ask for a packet of the tajin to sprinkle on top. It’s salty, tangy, and takes this famed dessert to a completely different level." - brant cox

Google
4/21/24 Update: Changing review from 1 star to 3 stars because Dole whip was open today for the first time since I’ve tried going multiple times since October! It did not disappoint. The worker could have been a bit more enthusiastic about serving this greatness. If management is reading this, please keep this open on a more consistent basis. 2/2/24 Update: Dole whip seems to be a casualty of the current construction at Belmont Park. Let’s hope they eventually open again. Tried to get Dole Whip on a Saturday afternoon around 3 pm on 10/21/23 and the location was not open. The Dippin dots stand was also closed. Hours of operation should be updated accordingly but who knows what they actually are since there are none posted on the stand.

Google
We loved our pineapple Dole ice creams, it did take 45 min to find parking but worth the drive around.

Gustavo Flores

Google
The hours are incorrect. Checked on Google and it said it was open from 12PM-7:00PM and they were not open. We shopped around thinking maybe the person was on lunch. One hour later it was still closed. I drove far to get here only to be disappointed

Google
Don’t knock it til you try it! At first I thought it would be gross (pineapple juice with soft serve ice cream in it), but figured worst case scenario if I don’t like it I can throw it out. Y’all. This stuff was legitimately one of the most delicious things I’ve tried!! I got the basic pineapple one for reference.

Google
Bummed. I saw online they are open, but when I went they were closed during their posted business hours. I didn't see a sign if it's temporarily closed. Google maps pin is in the wrong location. It's near the southeast side of Belmont park next to the Sky Ropes and Tiki golf. I'll try again another time.

Google
First time trying a dole whip. Absolutely love it

Art Gutierrez

Google
The only place in San Diego that serves this long time Disneyland treat!

Brenda Lieu

Google
I love dole whip and my order was excellent and delicious. The location is just a little hard to find if you havent been before and it is very crowded in the area. The dole whip itself was not very crowded

Yelp
Dole whip is a classic The nice pineapple taste is very refreshing I'd recommend either the pineapple flavor, or the mango flavor. The strawberry and vanilla flavors lack strong flavor. The service isn't that great either. I asked if the vanilla flavor was vegan since I had allergies, and they said it was vegan. As it turns out, it wasn't. I can't forgive them for this At least the trucks that sell their deserts are nice looking and have good theming

Yelp
Good Ol Dole Whip, I haven't had any since early 2020 (pre-covid) when I was at Disney World, so I was ecstatic when I found out that there was a location at Belmont Park. Just walk up, order your preferred flavor of Dole Whip, and check-in on Yelp to show them your 20% off coupon and enjoy your delicious frozen treat. Ya boy had to snag a cup of the original, and it was everything. Original is the best flavor if you ask me. Anyplace that sells Dole Whip gets 5 stars from me, and that's on periodt! PS: They also have reusable pineapple-shaped cups if you plan on getting a refill while you're enjoying the rest of Belmont Park.

Yelp
Definitely a nice perk to enjoy dole whip outside Disneyland! Food: We got a regular single serve dole whip. It was a little too tart for my taste and I later learned that there are four flavors to try, which was not advertised on the menu or when we ordered. It's definitely a good portion and plenty for 2 people to share! Service: friendly and fast! We didn't use the yelp check in offer this time but definitely will the next time we are back. There's never any line because it moves so quickly. Seating: there are benches right in front of the store. Tables are also located a few feet away! This location is a little hidden in the back corner of Belmont park but worth a try!

Yelp
Definitely pretty good for not being Dole Whip from the Hawaii plantation. It is $7.50 for a single small serving or $14 for a pineapple souvenir cup. As others stated, it is hard to find. It is by the Dole play structure near the end of the boardwalk to the right of the Octotron ride.

Joanne B.

Yelp
A must do! A taste of Hawaii in Mission Beach. It's is hidden in a corner near the mini-golf checkin. Just a tiny hut with outdoor seating, but so fantastic and refreshing! Worth finding it for sure!
google avatar

Joshua A.

Yelp
I was craving dole whip and luckily this was in the area. All I can say is it was totally worth it. Service was quick and there was no line. Totally missed out on taking that aesthetic dole whip picture so I decided to give it a smile.
google avatar

Daniel V.

Yelp
This location was not a easy find. It was hidden and not so "DOLE " advertising like previous photos. This little mobile unit was actually tucked under another amusement function with ropes etc. Dole pineapple was pretty tasty. Almost as good as the one I tried from the dole whip factory in Hawaii. Would be pretty cool if they offered pineapple chunks as toppings for these but I didn't see a option. "Hint hint."
google avatar

Andrea R.

Yelp
Dole whip is my love language! I picked up a swirl during the Spring Bloom festivities at Belmont when they had the strawberry flavor and got half pineapple and half strawberry with tajin. But honestly, nothing will ever beat the original. Dole whip for liiiiiife!!! LOVE IT! And if you haven't tried it, you NEED to!
google avatar

Catherine P.

Yelp
The fact that there is Dole Whip, alone, merits a 5-star review. (We don't have it where I'm from) Service was fast and good, the young lady at the register was friendly and efficient. We had the Dole Whip and the float with Tajin. So gooooood!

Aaron Roach ..

Yelp
What can you say !! Dole Whip. He name Says it all. It's amazing !! Melts in your mouth. I wish I had one closer to home.

Dom K.

Yelp
This popsicle!!! Was so incredible I feel like I was here with a minion as we speak. It's the best thing I've ever tasted. That's on a stick. I tasted a lot of things that are on the stick. And the popsicle stick was so good.
google avatar

Norbert K.

Yelp
Dole Whip is a refreshing concoction of soft vanilla and pineapple ice cream. My grandson won one on the miniature golf 18th hole. Later, we enjoyed samples being offered near the stand. Actually, I think it's the best frozen treat in Belmont Park.
google avatar

Martin L.

Yelp
Was hanging out at sea world and found this place by accident. Nestled in the middle of Belmont park is this gem. Small stand is shaped like a Jeep. Ordered the dole whip ($5) and shake($6). Dole whip is pineapple soft serve. Dole whip shake is dole whip with pineapple juice. Both just like Disneyland, but a fraction of the cost. I'm definitely coming again. :-P
google avatar

Robyn E.

Yelp
I've never had a Dole Whip and after hearing they had one at Belmont Park I was eager to try one after all the reviews saying their so good. When I first got there, they were closed. This was after 12PM No signs, nothing. I double checked the hours on the page and - hours per the season could fluctuate. I ended up calling the park later to verify and at that time the employee said they were open. There I went, traveling back and they were indeed open. The friendly employee said she had to cover someone's break. Unfortunately I just wanted a Pineapple whip and that was the flavor they were out of, I didn't want to waste a bother trip so I opted for the orange. It was okay. Hopefully, the next time if I go back I'll be able to get the flavor everyone loves.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm happy they have one nearby to my family's house. I want to go there again when I visit San Diego Bay.
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
This place is so cute! They serve authentic Disneyland Dole Whip just Like Hula Girls Shave Ice in Huntington Beach! Absolutely love the Dole Whip Souvenir Cup. They have the Spicy Mangonada Dole Whip with Tajin snd Chamoy that Hula Girls Shave Ice invented 10 years ago and is hard to find outside of their shop and Disneyland. It tasted amazing! Great customer service too! I'll be back!
google avatar

Stephanie K.

Yelp
Located at Belmont Park in Mission Beach. The ice cream truck is tucked in the park near Escapology. We ordered the pineapple and mango flavors. The pineapple flavor was the best out of the two. The mango flavor tasted fake. Costs $5 for a serving of dole whip.
google avatar

Vannie C.

Yelp
Nice to be able to enjoy dole whip when you're not at Disneyland! My first time trying dole whip was in Disneyland and I am delighted to know that I can also get it at this location, it tastes like the same one at Disneyland. I recommend the dole whip float, it comes with the dole whip soft serve and some pineapple juice. So good! It was around $7 I would say it's worth. Location is nice too, you can enjoy the dole whip at Belmont park or the beach.
google avatar

Erin A.

Yelp
So tangy, yet sweet. Cold, refreshing, and light. My mouth is salivating just thinking about it. If you're a pineapple fiend, go out of your way for the Dole Whip! It's a delicious frozen treat to beat the heat with and it's only available at a handful of locations in San Diego. They have the classic Dole whip or a float and you can pay extra to get it in a souvenir cup. You can get straight Dole ship, or tame the pineapple flavor with a Dole-vanilla swirl. Can't go wrong!

Sonny U.

Yelp
I love gettinf Dole Whip here but I wished there was one closer to my home in east county.
google avatar

Maryella P.

Yelp
I'm so excited to have found this hidden gem. It's tucked away in some corner at Belmont Park so I don't know how long it's even been there and I'm pretty mad at that. Dole Whip is one of my favorite things to eat at Disneyland so it's so great that I can get it closer to home. Here you can get it mixed with vanilla or strawberry. And you can add Tajin! And it's cheap. And it's tasty. And if you get the float, it's super refreshing. For those that don't know, dole whip is a pineapple flavored frozen treat and it's freaking amazing. It's pretty much a vacation in my mouth. O_o

Yelp
Ah the ever popular Dole Whip that was once only thought to be found at Disney parks and Hawaii. Alas, as Yoda would say "There is another....hmmmmmm". Practically every Disney freak I know loves the Dole Whip, they talk of it as if it is the greatest thing ever. I watched the lady friend stand in line for 45 minutes in Disney World to get one. I shouldn't judge her too harshly, I stood in line for the same amount of time for a picture with Goofy. I had never tried one before coming to Belmont Park in San Diego but my daughter and lady friend insisted that I try one. They said they tasted exactly the same as Disney and thought them to be wonderful. I guess it was over-hyped because I thought it was ok. It's just pineapple flavored soft serve ice cream with some more pineapple juice. It's solid but I sure wouldn't stand in line 45 minutes for one. (unless Pluto was serving them and I could get a picture). The good news is there is no line here or if there is one it's not more than 5 minutes. So if you go to Disney for the Dole Whip, go sit on the beach in San Diego and get one instead.
google avatar

Annie W.

Yelp
Too sweet is an understatement. I got the $5 pineapple float thinking it'll be like dole whip float with vanilla swirls, but I guess that's a special request I wasn't aware of. Their pineapple float comes with only pineapple swirl and pineapple juice. Pretty sour/sweet pineapple sorbet, nothing spectacular like the ones from Disneyland. WAY too sweet if that's what you're planning to try. I ended up throwing half of it away.. Took a little while finding the truck, since the yelp map is inaccurate. You can find the truck behind Tiki Adventure Golf, near the carnival games. Maybe I'll come back and try the one with vanilla swirls next time. Hopefully I won't be disappointed again..
google avatar

Jeannette V.

Yelp
I love dole whip and this hidden gem is spectacular! I love how they have different options of dole whip incorporated treats!
google avatar

Rachel Macie H.

Yelp
Oh sooo delicious just when i thought these couldn't get any better i discovered that this stand is mixing the already insanely delicious Dole Whips with vanilla which just threw the flavor profile over the top! The vanilla pineapple one had its own unique flavor that was just sooo good and definitely hit the spot. The regular pineapple swirl was just as good as the ones i get at Disneyland and oh soo good i love these because there is not many places that have these delicious whips! Don't forget about this location wile it is kinda hidden around the corner from the mini golf you will be ever soo happy you came here because its just that good! Overall they are priced just about right for the size cup you get and just soo yummy next time im totally getting a vanilla pineapple swirl float because that just sounds too good to pass up!
google avatar

Marti L.

Yelp
Mmm dole whip! We saw the sign for dole whip at the entrance of Belmont park and searched high and low for the elusive treat. We looked at the dessert menus at every food booth, and nope, not there. Just when we were about to give up, we stumbled upon the truck. Hooray! It was tucked next to the tiki miniature golf. The truck has 3 items, all dedicated to dole whip. Dole whip (pineapple soft serve) = $3. Dole whip swirl (with vanilla ice cream) = $3. Dole whip float (with pineapple juice) = $4. My float was delicious! Worth the search!
google avatar

Shalini G.

Yelp
OMG i can get dole whip without going to disneyland ...and for half the price?!?!? OH WAIT i saw a coupon online 2 for 1 at dole whip (i found it after i went here)...saved for next time. same dole whip as disney...in a hella cute kiosk...right in the middle of Belmont Park. If you don't want an entire cup o whip (why wouldn't you?) you can get a free sample...or 2 or 3... this place is awesome! i would be heartbroken if they ever left.

Yelp
This place should be ashamed of themselves. Marketing as a natural, frozen, dairy free dessert, fooling people into thinking they are giving their kids a healthy treat. In truth it is full of GMOs, artificial flavors, gums, stabilizers, processed sugar, and more. Targeting children at Disney world and Disney Land is sick. How about real fruit? How about real ingredients for our children? Their bodies and minds are important . Let's not make them fat, sick and dumb due to corporate greed. Sugar Dextrose Coconut Oil Stabilizers (Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Locust Bean Gum, Karaya Gum, Pectin) Maltodextrin (GMO!] Citric Acid (GMO from black mold!) Natural and Artificial Flavor (contains Pineapple Juice), Modified Food Starch, Malic Acid, Artificial Color (Yellow 5 & 6) Mono and Diglycerides Less Than 2% Silicon Dioxide (Anti-caking)
google avatar

Wendy G.

Yelp
Got my first ever Dole Whip today at Belmont Park! Had seen them at Disney and heard great things, but never had time to brave the line. Well there was no line here, instead a cute safari-themed vehicle is where you can find a refreshing, airy pineapple treat swirled impressively high for just $4. Would have been even more delish if studded with pineapple chunks, but that's just me. Unlike some of the heavier options nearby (I'm looking at you funnel cake!) you can actually enjoy this treat, then go on a few more stomach-churning rides (Tilt-o-Whirl anyone?) without losing it.
google avatar

Sophia C.

Yelp
I was so excited to hear some whip was available at Belmont Park. I recently had it for the first time at Disneyland and could not get over how delicious it was. Prices are reasonable with large serving sizes. The location was easy to find. I ordered two for whips original pineapple and although they were tasty and refreshing it was not like Disneyland's which has a much creamier texture. My grandmother enjoyed it very much but has not had Disneyland's Dole Whip. My son and me thought it was good but not the same. I still consider it a refreshing treat and would return if in the mood for a refreshing pineapple treat .
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
Dole Whip - tucked in a corner, off the main strip of Belmont Park. A cute jungle themed truck, you can't miss it. You have a few options - pineapple whip, a float with pineapple juice O_O and strawberry too! They will give you a sample if you can't decide which flavor you like. Perfect treat on any day, especially a hot one. Share if you like but with a price tag of $4-5 each, you can get your own without going broke ;) There usually isn't a long line, but it does move quickly.
google avatar

Alex S.

Yelp
When I found this place I was soooo happy. I love dole whip and you can beat it at this price. Don't doubt it, come here!
google avatar

DJ R.

Yelp
There is really nothing to complain about or take away from this little place. When it comes down to it, it tastes delicious, it's inexpensive, and it's conveniently located. It is a great buy whether its a blazing 95 or a cool 65. The only other time I have seen this is in Disneyland. This being said, the line in Disneyland is unbearable while there is virtually no line here. I was surprised that it was so short since we were at an amusement park but I was definitely not going to complain! The price is on the cheap side. $4 dollars gets you a classic pineapple dole whip or a half pineapple/vanilla. $5 dollars will buy the pineapple float. They also have this limited-time strawberry variant for the same price and tajin packets for .25 cents. In all honesty, the pineapple float was too sweet for me but it just may be my own preference in food. I will definitely stop and get the half pineapple/vanilla again the next time I see this stand. Well worth it!
google avatar

Tiffany D.

Yelp
I was very surprised to find a Dole Whip stand in Belmont Park! Parking can be a pain, but at least I don't have to buy a ticket into Disneyland or plane trip to Hawaii. The stand is located right next to Tiki Town Adventure mini golf. The Dole whip is as perfect as I remembered it. Pineapplely and creamy creamy soft serve. It is $5 for a cup, $6 for a float, and $9 for dole whip in a souvenir pineapple cup.
google avatar

Kimberly B.

Yelp
Perfect treat for a hot day at the beach or just strolling around Belmont Park. Apparently you can only get these at certain locations which can make anything more desirable really. This was like a sorbet and deliciously perfect. I was a rad disappointed that their vanilla was out of order. I ended up getting the Dole whip float instead which was pineapple ice cream with pineapple juice, topped with a tropical umbrella. Love it and would definitely get again if I'm in the area.
google avatar

Rockie E.

Yelp
DELICIOUS pineapple sorbet at its finest. If you order a large you get a souvenir pineapple cup to keep
google avatar

Mary K.

Yelp
Being a pineapple addict, I crave dole whip on a daily basis. I spoiled myself today and got a cup of it and let me assure you that I was in heaven. It was definitely worth breaking my diet! It's $4 a cup and it's plenty.
google avatar

Hurjane V.

Yelp
Located at Belmont Park right by Octotron, Krazy Kars and Sky Line Adventures! It is a little safari truck that has three simple menu items: pineapple swirl ($4), vanilla/pineapple swirl ($4) or a pineapple float ($5). FREE SAMPLES! I've never had Dole Whip, so it was good that we could try samples! We ended up getting the: -Pineapple Float with pineapple juice Pros: -Good portion size! Generous amount for $5! Definitely enough for two people. They also pour pineapple juice in it...so it tastes amazing when the ice cream melts and you drink from the straw! -Good prices! I hear this is half the price from Disneyland...so technically it's "regular" price now? Take advantage if you live in San Diego and can't go to Disneyland all the time for this! -Good service! The little cart is pretty loud inside, with the machine running. So you have to shout! But the lady inside was very nice and willing to let you try samples. -Great ambiance! It's so themed, that it makes sense to place it underneath where kids are walking on the Sky Line! Love it! Made me feel like a kid again. Cons: -None that I can think of! Tips/Observations: -They do take card! Yay! But most people pay with cash since there is no tax, so it's just a flat rate. -Vanilla swirl made the ice cream a bit sweeter, and balanced out the sour taste. If you don't like pure pineapples, get the vanilla/pineapple swirl!

Yelp
Dole Whip in S.D, and you don't have to fly to Hawai'i or even be at Disneyland?! Yes please. The cute little Dole Whip "jeep" is located in the heart of Belmont Park in Mission Bay Beach!! The flavor was not as rich as the one in Hawai'i (obviously), but if you really need your Dole Whip fix, then this is ONE of the places you can go to besides Homestyle Hawaiian restaurants! Yes, they serve Dole Whip there also but they too can run out. If I really want creamy, I would choose the dole whip with vanilla. If you want the full on tart flavor, you can just order the Dole Whip itself. My favorite is the Dole Whip with Vanilla! Price isn't so bad, also if you want you can also have it in a pineapple cup but of course that will cost extra too! Score for local Dole Whip without the $$$ hassle of traveling far! Almost feels like paradise. Almost.
google avatar

AJ D.

Yelp
Dole Whip can now be found at Belmont Park! No more going to Disneyland or the Dole Plantation in Hawaii just for delicious Dole Whip, it's right on the beachfront amusement park known as Belmont Park. If you don't know what Dole Whip is, do yourself a favor and treat yourself (and family) to a few cups of Dole Whip... You will be in heaven! The pineapple vanilla dole whip float is the way to go. Be sure to ask if there are any current specials and the owner might just be feeling generous.
google avatar

Eugene C.

Yelp
I'd give this a 3.5/5 The location is sort of hidden away in the corner of the park by the obstacle course rope course, mini golf, and bumper cars! The set up is pretty cool, matching the outdoor excursion theme in that area. But the reason it got the score it did was because of the taste and service. The first reason is that dole whip and vanilla swirl were both good, but no where in comparison to that found at Disneyland. I was disappointed The second reason was because the employee looked annoyed AF when my gf and I approached the truck and ordered; she didn't put her phone down from texting until I was right in front of the window. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or of the sound of kids walking and yelling on the obstacle course surrounding her kiosk was the root cause for the service. I ordered two orders, but she only gave me one and rang me up. I had to repeat myself to get the order right. I'm not sure if its loud inside the kiosk, but that's what happened. In general its very difficult to find places that serve pineapple dole whip, so if you have that craving I would recommend this place for sure.
google avatar

Margaret D.

Yelp
Ha. Now I don't have to go to Hawaii or Disneyland to get Dole Whip. The lady working there did not know if this was non-dairy. She said she thought so because it's soft serve, though most soft-serves are dairy-based. As there was no line, I thought she'd offer to look at the box or something but she did not, so I took a Lactaid and my chances.
google avatar

Jasmine C.

Yelp
I was so happy to see the cute little Dole Whip Truck at Belmont Park! No need to go to Disneyland or Hawaii to taste this yummy treat! 5 stars for giving a HUGE serving size for the Dole Whip float :)
google avatar

Kelley C.

Yelp
We are huge pineapple lovers. Best place to get yourself some Dole Whip without waiting an hour at Disneyland. Skip the drive and head to Mission Beach. $4.00 Dole Whip or my fav Dole Whip/Pineapple swirl.
google avatar

Audrey C.

Yelp
Located inside Belmont Park under a ropes course kind of thing for children! The little shack itself is quite cute, and is made to look like a little safari food truck. It loses 1 star because it didn't just taste as great as the dole whip at Disneyland, but it is cheaper, so I guess it all evens out. It lost another star for customer service. The cashier didn't hear our order right the first time, and she seemed to be more preoccupied with her phone. There was just no sort of welcoming customer service at all. Kind of disappointed, but hey, this is a great fix for all the Disney lovers out there!
google avatar

Jackie N.

Yelp
I love pineapples and dole whip so when I found this little booth at Belmont, I was thrilled. I love the one at Disneyland and this is just as good. I want more!!! This booth was located next to a jungled theme obstacle at the park. What a perfect location to match with the tropical/jungle theme! The worker was really nice gave me dole whip ice cream and a pineapple whip float for the price of one ($5). Definitely was satisfied
google avatar

Shirley R.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place since I moved here 7 months ago and unexpectedly came across it while playing mini golf! Finally I got to try it and it was tasty, refreshing, and satisfying! I ordered the pineapple-vanilla twist, but next time I want to try just pineapple. The only critique I have is the ice cream is swirled around the inside edge of the cup, so you're left with a hole of air that could be filled with delicious ice cream! Especially after paying $4 and having a competitive ice cream shop 50 feet away with a line out the door. Why the torture? D: This still won't keep me from returning.. Must try the pineapple ice cream...
google avatar

Love Z.

Yelp
We made it through an entire day at Belmont Park without buying a 12,000 calorie bucket of ice cream. Despite smelling the enticing sent of the freshly baked waffle cones along the midway, I resisted. The line for the shop is always too long. They are overpriced. And seriously, does anybody need that much ice cream? It's so gross. Instead, we came to the Dole Pineapple whip place after playing a round of Adventure Mini Golf. I'm so glad we did. It was delicious, refreshing, well-priced, and delicious. (I know I said delicious twice, but it was so yummy that I wanted to say it twice.) And I don't feel like I gained a pound just by eating it. Seriously folks, choose your food wisely.

Yelp
Nothing bad to say about Dole Whips ever! And got a 20% coupon for Checking In! How could we go wrong???
