$1.50 Fresh Pizza

The slice of pizza cost $1.50 only and it was fabulous - with thin crispy crust, thin layer of mozzarella cheese, dry oregano, hot sauce, and served very, very hot! The place is tiny so you can’t really sit down there. Still, great New York pizza.

Best 1:50 pizza on the city I used to come here from Brooklyn, just to have 2 slices. Worth it.

Pretty good for $1.50 but there are other places nearby I prefer. It doesn’t really taste like much. But $4 for 2 slice and 1 soda is a very good deal.

Great quick silce of NY pizza, nothing fancy and not the "go way out of your way" to grab a silce; but if you're in the neighborhood definitely stop by!!

The pizza is legit and not just too good to be true. It’s no kidding $1, no taxes or fees. Just hand them a dollar bill. For that price I’d be willing to eat any slice of pizza, but it’s actually really good. They also let you out seasonings and hot sauce on it. The value here is incredible

Can't expect more from a 1.50 slice. They are the best around bowery. Have gone there more times than I can count.

Date: Saturday, January 13th, 2024 Time: around 4am What: more late night pizza On our way back to the hotel, we actually stopped by another pizza place first and got slices there. When I saw 99 cent pizza, I decided to get more slices! Yes, call me a oink oink! Or just drunken glutton. I had a fair amount to drink prior so everything is a little hazy, but looking at my pix, we ordered a slice of pepperoni, pepperoni and jalapeno, and I think mozzarella sticks? I believe that's what's in the foil in my pic. I know the slices hit the spot as I dug into the pizza like a pig to a trough. So not cute, but very delish. I'm pretty sure I needed the carbs to soak up the liquor. Good spot for late night pizza!

"The way we're going back for this pizza...I love it" Was what my homegirl said while we're about to go back to get the pizza! 8$ for a whole Pie with nice size slices. Classic New York Pizza and if you know how to dress up your pizza then it's even better. Service was great, the nice guy gave us plates and napkins and offered to season the pie, we declined but he didn't rush us or anything while we did it ourselves. It's a little shop, not too much going on but right in the city so ambiance was cool with me! So yeah 10/10 will be returning!

It's cheap eats for when your funds are low and your belly is empty, granted it's not a 3 course meal , but it will hold you down

Normally, .99 cent pizza is barely decent if edible at all. Yet, I was pleasantly surprised with this slice. After a 10 mile run tonight I found myself in the crazy crowed East Village. Didn't want to wait in line for any of the normal joints, plus I was a sweaty smelly mess. Just needed a quick bite to refuel before heading back. As with most of these spots it's small and good for grab and go. No seating. They offer slices, full pies, and a terrific deal of two slices and a soda for $2.79. Large pie only $8. Also a beef patty for around $2. The slice was actually tasty, with a doughy crust, not dry, and a good cheese to sauce ratio. I wolfed that sucker down! Just what I needed.

Solid slice, worth every penny. Got the pepperoni slice, sausage slice and a soda. No regrets.

1000/10 for the price. Honestly better than most pizza places in the country. Probably a 7/10 on the New York pizza scale. But for a dollar a slice I believe this is the best deal I've ever seen for pizza. Crust is good. Plenty of flavor in the sauce and cheese. Only downside is they only accept cash. So bring some cash or you will be disappointed.

I give the guy at the counter a dollar and he gives me a slice of pizza. There's something beautiful about that. I got the cheese slice for $1 which was just an okay slice. They have garlic powder and hot sauce for you to put on the pizza which makes it a lot better. For a dollar you can't beat what you get. If you're expecting gourmet pizza you're in the wrong place. It's a good place to go after a night of drinking to satisfy those drunchies. You meet some interesting people sharing the moment of standing around and eating a slice of pizza. I don't know if it's cash only but since it's just $1 with tax included I would just be safe and bring a buck. Or two.

Delectable 99c slice of cheese pizza at a well-lit 1 buck location. These slices are a Brooklyn-size flavor import to Manhattan - though made right here at 71 Second Avenue across the way a few blocks from Washington Square. The dudes who work here, are totally chill and offer $2 deals for a slice of cheese and soda likes there's no sunrise, an endless pizza oven and trucks by the Avenue who'll keep doing the delivering. Folks zip in and out all day and night. The cheese is ample, milky, stringy and flavorful. All in all the 99c Fresh slice is thin and crispy and bursts in deliciously aromatic (and each time I was here - hot) flavors and nuances. Sauces has no chunks. There are sweet drinks, teas, sodas, waters and all assorted sorts of spices, peppers, garlic, oregano and more to top of your slice, even ground Parmigiano. Once I go here my only trouble is, that I leave with not enough of the slices and end up kicking ourselves, that we did not just buy a whole 99c Fresh slice! It's not the most glamorous. It is the most gangster 99c Fresh I've had in a while: hot, tasty, cheap, bright and always available. Got a New York minute hankering? Come here. Staff is friendly, jovial and always in charge. I'm always a bit skeptical of good dollar pizza these days because I always find it a hit or miss, but this 99 cents fresh pizza was definitely a hit. The regular cheese pizza is delicious - perfect ratio of cheese and sauce. I ended up getting seconds because it was so good. The space itself is small so I wouldn't expect to sit down. It's definitely more grab and go, but still super worth it!

Pizza was pretty good for what you pay. $1 a slice. It's not Joe's pizza but it's good. Sauce is good too. Halal also great plus.

It's tasty. It's fresh. It's 99 cents. It's not going to win any awards for being fancy, but if you're in the mood for some fat pizza, you will not be disappointed. Minus one star simply because there's nowhere inside to sit down and eat.

I like to live dangerously. Like running across the street to order an entire pie when my friends have just ordered an Uber back to Brooklyn. And thanks to NYC traffic, I made it back in time. And also thanks to 99 Cents Fresh Pizza for being real quick about it. Is it the best pizza? Of course not. Was the pie just sitting around waiting to be reheated? Probably. But was I also blackout drunk and annoyingly eating pizza in the back of a stranger's car? Oh, you betcha.

I could have sworn that I have reviewed this place before because I know I've been here a million times. It's still somewhat decent dollar pizza. After drinking and walking to the f train this has happened on so many occasions that I have lost track in my life. Came in during the heat wave surprisingly sober for a slice and its still good. The slices are a little doughy. Sauce and cheese ratio is alright. It's probably still not the best I've ever had but it brings back waves of nostalgia and memories of happy drunk days to mind. Pizza is ready in seconds. He just keeps making those pies. Garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, hot sauce off to the side.

Alright, I feel awful even writing this review because I'm so for supporting businesses especially during a pandemic. But my gahd, I just need to tell you about my experience. First, not gonna lie, my friends and I were drunk coming from another party. It was super late on a Thursday night and we were hungry and decided to grab a slice. Saw this place at 2am still open during the pandemic, not sure how or why, but not going to question it. Anyways, I had the pepperoni, which hit the spot and did it's job. BTW, nothing here is 99cents. Do people not care or know about inflation when thinking of their franchise/store names? My friend ordered some sort of chicken pizza, I think it was the ranch chicken or something. It was awful, bland, tasteless, and soggy. I've had gym socks that were better tasting and better seasoned than this. Second, as we were eating it outside of the shop, the guy working there was like making super strong eye contact at us and seemed like he was yelling. I believe he was speaking arabic, so it sounded like he was cursing at us infidels. Turned out he was on the phone and had wireless headsets on. Third, there was a huge rat running in and around the store. The guy didn't care at all, and neither did we as it's pretty much expected here in NYC. Probably adds a little bit of unique flavor with the rat hair and poop! I survived one pandemic, I'm well prepared for the plague. Truly an authentic New York experience.

I was hungry and in a rush so 99 Cents Fresh Pizza had my name on it. I wasn't expecting much, because how can good pizza be that cheap? I don't know how they pulled it off, but the pizza was legit hot and fresh. They had an appropriate cheese to sauce ratio. You seriously cannot beat the deal of $2.75 for two slices and a bottle of water. I was in, out and satisfied in a flash.

Delivered satisfaction on a drizzly Sunday night after a fun evening on St. Mark's Place. I had to wait a couple minutes for a fresh pie to come out of the oven but it was worth it to get a piping hot slice from a fresh pie. A fresh dollar slice can really hit the spot! Don't expect anything mind-blowing, just enjoy the moment.

Unfortunately really terrible. And cold. Slices are truly $1. No taxes. No frills. But they serve uou the pizza fresh from the pan, despite however long it's been out. My pizza was pretty cool, cheese no longer cheesy. Crust and bread soggy. Oy

Yes, it's still $1 for a slice of cheese, and a terrific value. Even beside the price point, I'd rather have a whole pie from here than from the big national delivery chains. Unless you're there at a really quiet time of day, they sell enough that your pizza will be pretty fresh. (In fact, you may have to wait a couple minutes.)

Didn't know what to expect but it was so good. The crust was crispy but foldable. Cheese and sauce was great. It was also FRESH and food was ready within minutes.

I was in here a few weeks ago to pick up lunch to go. I ordered 2 slices to go. Since there were no others there I didn't have to wait too long. The slices had a nice crust, not too crisp or soft. There was a good amount of cheese.

Nick's Dolla Pizza Series--there's only 3 factors that matter when considering 1$ pizza. Here is the breakdown: Taste: 3/5 - (sauce is pretty good, pizza hot. But cheese and dough quite bland. BUT with enough parmesan cheese available here anything could taste fine) Size: 2/5 - (slightly smaller than most places) Resistance to Pizza-regret: 4/5 (hardly anything). Honestly one of the one's I could do without in my dollar pizza quest. But if you're with a group at ACE bar down the street, you'll be really popular if you bring a pie back to your drunk friends (all for less than a drink at that bar!)

Would have gotten 5 stars from when we went there last night, but tonight they charged us 50% more for no reason whatsoever. You guys were rockstars last night and then screwed it up for no reason.

I walk in, give the guy a dollar, and he hands me a slice. I didn't say anything, he didn't say anything, he just handed me the slice. That's a pro move. It's also some dang good pizza. After a night out, what we all want is some awesome food and this place provides. This place, unlike the others, also provides topping apparatus that have larger exit ports, thereby allowing for more efficient topping of toppings. Great place, love the pizzaman.

I've had pizza for $15 that couldn't touch this place. It's a grab and go kinda place. Only places to eat are on the sides of the ship (no table) but for what you get, it's a total steal. I'm sure I'll get some heat for this but this is one of my favorite pizza spots in Manhattan.

Hands down the BEST dollar pizza place. Cheese is stringy, crust is sustainable, and the sauce is the boss. Free seasoning and toppings are only .50!! They have sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, pineapple, etc. The perfect spot to hit up after a night out or pregame before you head out. Beware there are some homeless people that ask for change but you'll find that everywhere in the city. Obviously cash only.

I dunno man, I think people are a little harsh on this place. Obviously it's not the best pizza you're going to have in NYC. That said, I thought it was pretty tasty (and I wasn't even drunk) and it costs a dollar. The guy behind the counter was also nice. That's five stars from me.

I stepped in the store this morning ordered a slice of pizza. The guy A told me 3 mins while eating his leftover slice. So I paid a dollar first. Then another guy B came took over his shift. He ask me did I pay already? I said yes. The guy A said he didn't pay. Alright, I walked out headed to work. Just be careful with those people.

Wowo. I'm a lactose intolerant pizza snob which means I'll only eat it if it's really worthwhile. This was a 99 cent slice which left me with no regrets. Hot, fresh, simple, cheap. It's not gourmet organic hydroponic pizza but it does its job well.

I've lived in NYC for 7 years and this is the best dollar slice you can find in the city! They are constantly making and dishing out fresh pies every few minutes. This is a place that doesn't reheat old pizza. It's also a solid spot at the end of a drinking night to load up on your carbs and sodium to prevent that hangover! If I wasn't vegan now I would eat here all the time. Stick with a simple cheese slice, top it with hot sauce, and fold in half. You'll want to go back for a 2nd, I promise

I was introduced to this pizza shop on the way home from a New Year's Eve party and it hit the spot. The slices were a dollar so the name is inaccurate but I'll let that slide. Service was quick and friendly and the pizza hit the spot. The slices were average sized and greasy in a good way. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to go here during the day but would definitely come back after going out in the East Village.

Great pizza, and how can you beat the price ...especially in the heart of the East village!!?? I was especially impressed when an elderly woman, walking the streets; collecting cans out of the street recepticles...walk into the storefront and began picking up lint off the floorm

I admit I was a bit skeeved out by this place on first glance - it's a tiny, florescent-lit storefront on a side street in the East Village that's probably not big enough for more than two or three customers to occupy at a time. Also, 99 cent pizza? I mean, come on. This has to be too good to be true. I imagined one of those triangle graphs where the viewer can only pick two qualities - here it would have to be "cheap", "fast", and "tasty". WELL, I was sure in for a surprise when this place delivered on all three of those fronts! The pizza, while simply prepared, was served fresh and piping hot, smothered with melted cheese and flavorful sauce, and supported by a crisp yet chewy crust. And all this for 99 cents! Wow. I was (and am still) quite amazed by how great this place is, and regret almost passing it by! You won't want to miss a great slice for cheap at arguably the greatest 99 cent pizza spot in NYC!

Very cheesy slice, decent size, and unbeatable price, you know, a dollar slice. 2 slices and a drink only costs you $2.75. Seriously it is not bad. I know, it's 99 cents but it is hot and fresh. Obviously it is not a typical 5 star place. But it gets 5 Yelp stars because it achieves its purpose with 100% success. It is a cheap fresh slice of pizza for 99 cents. Well, really it should be called $1 pizza because they don't give you back a penny in change. That said, I have never actually asked for my penny. Maybe you should try and see what happens?

Great pizza slice for 99 cents. I wished I could eat an entire pizza. There was only 1 slice on their pans waiting for an order, and there was another person in front of me. Guy is waiting and the slice is waiting. Probably he did not want to have it as he wanted a new pizza from the oven. I said let me get that slice, how old it could be, 10-15 mins max, not more. The pizza guy put that slice back into the over for 30 secs for me. That made the bottom of the slice crunchy and the top was heated just as needed. It was one of the best pizzas I had, end it was only 99 cents. Wow. While I was eating my slice, the guy took out a new pizza from oven, and it was so appealing. I wish I could have it all, but did not have room and I could not carry it for sometime later.

With 99 Cents Fresh Pizza I fed my whole family for under $10 . Visiting from Angeles the closest bargain we have is Costco Pizza! The gentleman behind the counter reheated all my slices and the quality was really good! Us from California do say the best pizza comes from New York and Chicago!!! This place beats our Dominos Pizza Hut and Papa Johns back home !! If returning this area we will visit again!! Good bang for the buck !!

Good pizza and I've been a faithful customer for two years now but the staff is rude as hell and incompetent. Would rather go elsewhere. Today was my breaking point when it comes to dealing with the disrespect.

It's definitely not fresh pizza, but it's cheap. It was served "fresh" out of the oven after being reheated, but the ingredients aren't fresh as well. The pizza did do the trick after a night of drinking and dancing. I had the BBQ chicken. It wasn't 99 cents but it served its purpose.

For a dollar pizza, it's actually pretty good! For a broke college student like me, $2.75 for two slices and a drink is absolutely perfect. The dough is also a nice combination of crunchy and chewy, which I personally really like. Would definitely come again!

Delicious pizza! For $2.75 you get 2 decent sized slices of cheese pizza and a can soda. I don't like cheese pizza and this was definitely the best I've had. Super small, no where to sit. But for $1 pizza, what you pay for is what you get and it was well worth it

Pizza for a buck. Yep. While some other pizza places may still cost more than a buck, 99 Cents Fresh Pizza still just requires one small bill. They've crammed an entire restaurant in here, and by entire restaurant I simply mean they can cook food in there, not that you can sit down or do much. There are some side counters you can stand at and throw that oregano on your pizza slices but that's about it. Quick, simple, and cheap. What more could you want? A chair?

They are no Two Bros but still a nice little quick pizza stop when you're on the go. The quality has gone way up since they first came here and have a nice atmosphere. Great deal.

Just had the best dollar slice I've had so far in NYC. It was done well so the cheese was browned, and was super satisfying.

I've been around good pizza all my life. I have had slices all across Manhattan, Long Island and New Jersey. This is hands down the best slice I have ever had. I mean everyone likes their pizza different, some like a lot of cheese, some like a lot of sauce, etc. So everyone may not agree, but to me, this really is the tastiest pizza I have ever tried. Perfect crust, perfect flavor, perfect slightly gooey but also crunchy cheese! AND FOR $1!!!! I am so happy I found this place.
