Got the fog espresso latte - unique but good. Beautiful cup, just a bummer they can't warm it up again. I drank a little but it hada nice design up top. Great coffee, great customer service, and amazing seating! It's not inside the coffee shop but connected to the resedntial building. But no one is stopping you from sitting and it's a vibe.

Quality Sip at Dollop Coffee, N Wells St, Chicago Dollop Coffee on N Wells St, Chicago, provides a neat spot for a coffee break. The service is friendly and the inside has a modern feel. There’s a spacious seating area that’s not just for coffee shop guests but also for people from the connected luxury apartment building, ensuring a comfortable spot for everyone. The setting is very designy and has an inviting atmosphere, especially with its stylish decor that doesn’t try too hard yet naturally impresses. While the price for a cup might be a bit above average, it seems to match the River North neighborhood's general vibe and quality. A cup of coffee here is not just a quick caffeine fix; it’s a cozy pause in the midst of bustling Chicago. The place doesn’t insist upon itself but confidently delivers a solid, enjoyable coffee experience. It's a good pick for anyone finding themselves wandering by, in search of a decent brew.

The girl at the counter was nice and pleasant. But I ordered my matcha with oat milk and was given soy milk. not sure if she misheard me or didn’t want to tell me that their nondairy option was soy. And then unfortunately she must have set my cup down in wet bleach. Because it left a bleach mark on my pants and ruined them. Unfortunately, this kind of ruined the whole experience for me. I probably won’t return. I can find better matcha, and the experience itself wasn’t very good. Sorry!

This is the second time I have ordered the turkey club. 1st time, they only had enough turkey to complete 1 of my orders. Ok, fine. Today (2x) I ordered online and gave all of my information. Walked over on my lunch only to get to the Ritual pick-up window to be told they are out of turkey again. Why couldn't someone call and say "hey we ran out of Turkey for the turkey club?" Would you like something else. Nope! Wasted my 30min lunch period. I think from now on, I'll stick with drinks if anything. Thanks.

This is a small coffee shop that is next to a luxury condo apartment. It's quiet enough to where you can come and have a zoom meeting or have a nice pleasant conversation with friends from out of town like San Diego. They have a bunch of random souvenirs that you can grab for the road if you're in town from out of state and the coffee is delicious and the service is friendly and comes with a smile.

There is a lack of quality control. Some times the coffee is good other times the coffee is burnt and the milk is way too hot and other times it is hardly warmed. Some times you get latte art and sometimes the barista doesn’t even bother to try as they dump the milk in, regardless of how busy it is. Love they have vegan donuts but I got a donut today and it is old and missing frosting which isn’t the quality donuts that you would normally get from Beacon (where they get their donuts from) directly. A good place to study or work but it would be better if there was more consistency among the baristas.

Decent coffee shop. I wouldn’t say it’s anything spectacular or super special, but the coffee is pretty good and the cheddar kale biscuit was crispy (not too dry either, surprisingly). Could’ve been more moist (too used to southern biscuits) but I would buy it again.

Great coffee shop with full tea / coffee menu and some selection of pastries. The cold brew pea flower tea with cold foam oat milk (aka Blue Milk) is super yummy. This coffee shop has a super comfy and quiet sitting area in addition to its main store area. People behind the counter were super nice and answered all the questions I had about the menu

Yelp
Kitchen was closed at 1 pm so did not get to try the dishes. Staff was very nice. Maple pancake latte was ok

Yelp
Popped in for a quick breakfast on the go on a weekday around 9 AM. It was pretty busy, yet the staff were quick and efficient. The coffee shop is pretty small, however it is adjacent to a lobby with comfortable seating for any spillover customers who need a spot to sit. The breakfast sandwich is great. Moist biscuit, thick & fluffy egg, and crispy bacon What more could you need? I would skip the bagels for sure though. Very chewy and severely lacking cream cheese...

Yelp
I stopped into this new location to check it out. It is close to the Moody Bible College so I think it's a great location for the many students nearby. The residential building next door is connected so that seems super convenient. There are also bus and train stops, making it easy to grab a beverage. The store is small, bright and cheerful. The pops of color add fun whimsey. High ceilings, giant windows and bright yellow chairs are perfect! The staff were so friendly. I checked out the menu and the girl behind the counter was happy to answer all of my questions. The blue drink caught my eye... My oat chai latte was delicious!!! They use a local purveyor for the chai, which I appreciate very much. The pastry case was almost empty as I stopped in late afternoon. They offer a few different things to nosh so I'll stop in next time a bit earlier. I liked this Dollop location very much and will check it out again soon!

Yelp
Popped in here on my way to Soul Cycle in Old Town. I got a vanilla iced latte with oat milk and it didn't disappoint. Coffee preferences vary so much, but I love a strong brew with a rich, creamy milk and hint of sweetness and the ladies on duty today hit this on the mark!

Yelp
Dollop serves one of the best regular old cups o' joe in the city, although they offer so much more. The person in line ahead of me got a sandwich, and it looked really appetizing. Lunch isn't something I would usually think of when at a coffee house, but I'll definitely keep it in mind after seeing the food and perusing the thoughtful menu. There's extra seating here to, as the adjacent residential lobby is open to the coffee house, and comfy chairs and sofas abound. Service is super friendly and efficient. Nice place, great coffee.

Yelp
I got the iced Nutella latte with oat milk and it was the perfect treat for a sunny afternoon walk! I loved that the drink was lightly sweetened but not too sweet. The baristas at the front are super friendly and welcoming. The location is in a quieter part of downtown, attached to an upscale apartment building. There's not too many seats at this location, only 6-8 total, so it's definitely more of a grab n go type of location rather than a place to study.

Yelp
Experience: This wonderful visit was due to an Elite Experience Event. The whole process was fairly easy and the staff was very professional and friendly. On a Friday, during brunch hours, it seemed pretty packed, but I was able to order and receive my drink pretty quickly! Parking: Being that this business is located in Old Town/ Downtown, parking was very challenging, however not impossible depending when you go. Unfortunately, during my visit, it seems like it is only meter parking. Unsure about any free spots. Worth: I ordered a Strawberry Lemongrass Matcha Latte (as pictured) and it surely did not disappoint. I would honestly come back here because it seems like a great place to get work done. In addition, as mentioned earlier, the staff was very friendly, which is a huge plus in my book

Yelp
So excited this coffee shop finally opened! The location is really convenient (it's attached to the first floor of an apartment building) and they have a nice walk up window if you don't have time to go inside to pick up your order. The baristas are really friendly and I loved the oat milk latte and donut I had during my visit. There are a few seats inside the cafe and there's plenty of seats in the apartment lobby for people to sit and work at as well. Will definitely be visiting this place often!

Yelp
I am writing this review in hopes that management will address this store's issues. I have been a regular customer from the very beginning. The coffee was great, the food was surprisingly (for a coffee shop) delicious and of high quality and the service was always an absolute pleasure. Lately they are understaffed and be it early or late, any food offering is out or not being prepared because they are short staffed. The staff looks pressured and stressed and is no longer entirely polite or happy. Whatever you want on the menu, is almost assuredly out these days. I asked last week and the individual explained that when one person is on staff, there is no food prep. There had to be two. Today the door was broken and a sign was up saying to knock. The two/2 busy staff members could not respond and so customers were helping others to open the door. There was a sign up saying a particular drink and sandwiches were not available today--tho again 2 individuals were there (admittedly busy). What a mess! Dollop, I hope you stay in the neighborhood and are successful. However after 2-3 weeks of similar experiences, and staff (always lovely before) who seem to be doing customers a favor, I have come to the conclusion there is a management issue. I hope corporate management will invest in inventory and staff. This sleepy neighborhood is waking up with massive growth. Add some neighborhood PR perhaps. If you build it, we will come. In the mean time, customers, prepare to be disappointed. I know as a customer, I am committed to supporting businesses like this. This previously wonderful shop is sliding.

Yelp
Service was not good. Food was not good. Won't be back. I make better food at home. We went out of our way to eat her. Wish we hadn't

Yelp
Looks like a cute little coffee stop on the outside, has a few tables inside if you wanted to stop in and drink/eat. Stopped in because I saw photos of their donuts through Yelp and they looked amazing. Upon visiting, they didn't look as they did in the photos. Still purchased a cinnamon bun looking donut and it was pretty good. Ordered a coffee drink as well which wasn't bad. Was going to order a bagel because they looked amazing but they didn't have a topping other than cream cheese, so I held off. Overall a cute small, clean coffee spot.

Yelp
I have only been to this Dollop location, but I have been probably a dozen times and the service each time has been poor. The baristas are not welcoming, not friendly, and genuinely project extreme dismay to be serving you. For me this really detracts from what is otherwise an okay cafe, the drip coffee is good and cheap, and the assorted pastries (Beacon donuts in particular) are decent. If you want convenience and physical location I suppose it works.

Yelp
Dollop Coffee is a great stop for your morning coffee. Their coffee is smooth and does not have a burnt taste. I have been twice and have ordered the iced vanilla latte with oat milk both times and it has not disappointed. There is a lot of space to work from home at the location by the Moody Bible Institute. This has probably been my favorite coffee shop I have tried in Chicago so far. The vibes are cool inside and they have a lot of other yummy and original options on the menu! The only issue I have is the pricing but that usually just comes with smaller coffee shops. However, I would rather pay for Dollop than a Starbucks or Dunkin.

Yelp
The photos and menu posted on Yelp show breakfast sandwiches served on biscuits. They do not serve any breakfast sandwiches or biscuits. If you are coming here to eat the breakfast sandwich shown in the main photo do not because it is not sold here. Very disappointed. The staff are nice and coffee is good so if you only want a cup of coffee this place gets five stars.

Yelp
I normally go to another location which tends to be really good. I ordered a bagel think it would be good but turns out to just plainly bad. I barley had any toppings applied If I'm spending almost $10 for a bagel it should be good

Yelp
I've been here about 5 times now and the only pleasant experience I've had is the customer service and the company I take with me. Other than that, I recommend going to the other coffee shops that are nearby this location like Nomad or LaBorra. The food and coffee is not great and definitely not worth the price. However, if you're willing to pay for the vibe, it can be a nice place to study.

Yelp
Overpriced, and genuinely just mid. the atmosphere is nice, but you could get something much better almost anywhere else.

Yelp
Stopped in as I was walking to Shedds. Great matcha latte price and it was very delicious! Great customer service as well.

Nicholas O.

Yelp
Latte was weak, and they charged more than $4 for an extra shot bringing the total to $11+ for a latte. That is not normal.
