"There are now 19 Dollop cafes around town and in the suburbs, but the location that opened Thursday, April 28, is special, says a rep. Unlike the majority of the other locations, Dollop Cafe, Bar & Kitchen will have full table service and offer all-day breakfast and lunch — including chicken and waffles and smash burgers — in addition to the usual coffee and pastries, with evening hours and cocktails coming next month. Dollop Cafe, Bar & Kitchen, 1210 S. Indiana Avenue, Open 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily." - Naomi Waxman

This is my favorite coffee chain in Chicago. Their chai is top. And the quality of their beans is also up there - single sourced, lightly roasted, compostable packaging, etc. The coffee does still taste intense though as a note. I like it cause I like coffee. It's not that sweet starbucks stuff. And more affordable than other cafes. I ordered a dirty chai and the barista was so pleasant and made it so well. The space here is also really nice. Only a few spots with chargers for work but still a great space for getting stuff done. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I got their acai bowl and it was amazing, their breakfast sandwich comes with lots of potatoes - definitely good value. The coffee was also delicious and the girl behind the counter was polite. Definitely recommended for quick breakfast or coffee near Grant park.

“mid,” as the kids say. wanted to try to breakfast burrito but they were out of vegan sausage (despite it only being like 9:45 AM). instead, ordered the chilaquiles with 2 over easy eggs (3.5/5)- the tortilla chips were very soggy, but the tangy salsa flavor was good. avocados were a solid addition. eggs were cooked well, the and the yolk mixed with the remaining contents of the chilaquiles was decently tasty- i couldn’t get over the lack of crispness though. it was also very heavy- definitely a dish to share between 2-3 people; i ended up tossing a good amount of the soggy residua. they import their donuts from beacon- we got a glazed donut with chocolate icing (4/5)- it was the right amount of sweet, and tasted quite fresh; decent helping of icing on touch made every bite just right. i got the nutella mocha coffee (4/5)- strong but tasty, really brought together the flavors of coffee and chocolatey-hazelnutty goodness of nutella perfectly; i like my coffee on the sweeter side- my initial sip was bitter so i added a packet of splenda which was too much sweetness. my wife got the SF vanilla latte which she said was decent (3.5/5). interior decor was beautiful, with colorful neo-abstract graffiti art. lighting fixtures were modern and something to take note of. a lot of rounded edges and nice cuts on the wood fixtures. lounge seating was comfortable in the back right of the restaurant. service was solid, and the staff at the register were kind in spite of my screaming toddler.

Whenever I go to this location, the service is usually fine, but during a visit here recently, the cashier had a sort of attitude when I went to place an order at the register. I ordered some food to go and they didn’t include utensils, so when I went to ask the other employee, they said, we don’t have any plastic ones. Well, we went around the cafe looking for some and found a set of them toward the back. I mean cmon, don’t be lazy like that. Also, I asked for vanilla syrup in my drink and they forgot to add it. I will say the food makes up for the poor quality of service but is still average at best and very overpriced. Only thing that’s nice about this place is that it’s nice for working or reading if it’s not busy. Otherwise, you’re better taking your business elsewhere.

This is a cute place to come and grab a bite and a cup of coffee. There is a great view of Roosevelt road and Grant Park, making it a a great place to people watch and view the skyline of the city. Our food was good, I ordered the grain bowl. Overall, it was good, but could have used more seasoning. My partner ordered the pancakes and they were good - we would recommend them. Our drinks were tasty. My americano was strong. His Nutella mocha did not have enough hazelnut and just tasted like a mocha. Will be back to people watch and sip on coffee.

The food and coffee here is extremely good. The service is also top notch. All of the staff is always smiling and singing the songs. This is a wonderful place to come and grab a bite to eat while working or meeting a friend. They also serve breakfast ALL day! Please come check this place out and have the Egg Sandwich, it has this amazing sauce on it 😍

It takes a substantially long time to check out of this establishment. The clerks/barristers who are making the coffee cannot multitask. They are severely undermanned or alternatively the staff is extremely inefficient. Do not go here.

This is my go-to coffee shop when I need a quick caffeine fix since it’s just catty-corner to my apartment. The baristas make good lattes and it’s a nice place to write at my laptop in the evenings with some wine or a cocktail. I also love their house potatoes; my breakfast delight with a great oat milk matcha latte ☕️ I like the upscale bodega feel too, I’ve come to get some snacks/treats because they have a nice curated selection that Go Grocer doesn’t have (the freeze dried mango’s are addicting and yay they carry Vybes drinks!)
