Well well well Dollop - you sneaky coffee shop, you finally ended up coming to the burbs!! Wahoo!!! I have visited your other location in Lincoln Square, where you provide PIE and COFFEE! Anywho - I digress as this is about Oak Park's newest addition ;0
This is located off a main street, can be a little hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for, but I'm sure technology can help you out. Cute shop with a very coffee shop vibe - there are neat touches throughout the place, like the windows facing the street slide all the way open, the fans are super large and all seemingly look connected to one electrical pump thingy (I'm no engineer so if you just look to the ceiling you'll know what I'm talking about). The staff were also very friendly and were able to chat with us about the various coffee and sandwich options.
Onto the food and coffee: I ordered an iced coffee and my partner got a small regular coffee. My coffee was definitely strong and kept me pumped for hours. My partner's coffee was not as delightful as it was room temperature. Also - to note, the small size is VERY small, kind of like a kid sized coffee.. just in case there are coffee lovers who are about to get adventurous and go small...just don't.
As for the food - we both ordered sandwiches, I opted for the chickpea sandwich and my partner got the veggie sandwich. Both were quite delightful and flavorful. We were promptly served and the sandwiches tasted fresh on some toasty bread..YUM! My only hesitation on both the coffee and the sandwiches is pricing - I do see that prices are going up everywhere but these items seemed a tad overpriced. Both sandwiches were around $9. Again, this could match inflation but I think the chips could be included.
All in all, I was quite pleasantly tickled to visit this spot in Oak Park and do love the coffee and ambiance. I would give it another go and suggest you do too if you're in the area!!
