Dolphin Cove

On this particular trip to Grand Bahama, I was encouraged to visit this place. The first attempt was a bust because they were closed. The 2nd and 3rd were successful and great experiences. However.. The fourth attempt, I was denied entry by the same “manager” who lacked any sort of customer service and should not be in the hospitality industry. Allegedly they weren’t accepting walk-ins, with the exception of a garden couch which she offered with obvious remorse. At no point was I advised to make a reservation for this establishment, which I’ve never visited prior to this trip. The expectation was quite high, given the positive experiences shared with me, but the reality turned out to be a disappointment. There were three patrons in the entire restaurant. I give you guys a Z for Zero hospitality. I’m turned off and doubt I want to return any time soon.

I've had a great experience staying here even with construction going on. I couldn't hear it from my room. Rooms were clean, spacious and had little kitchenettes which I prefer. Service was very nice and attentive. Restaurant on site was very good too. Pools were great. Only downside is that it only has one Restaurant to choose from but that wouldn't stop me from returning!

Service was amazing and the front desk staff was very pleasant,helpful, and accommodating. Dea and the young man at the front desk was very Customer Service oriented. Kim took my réservation and she was helpful and informative. The restaurant staff was amazing food and drinks were great.

I stayed at Dolphin Cove from Thursday, July 10 to Friday, July 11. Once I walked into the lobby area, the furniture and décor were sophisticated, and check-in was easy and pleasant.  ||I was escorted to room 102, which the front-desk associate assured was one of their best rooms.  Upon entering the room, I was immediately impressed with its cleanliness and overjoyed to see a contemporary-styled and equipped kitchen area. The bed was comfortable, the sheets fresh, and bathroom clean too. | |At approximately 10 PM, the power shut off. No generator was used to restart electricity. The room held a comfortable temperature still, though there was no air conditioning; of course charging my cell phone was out of the question. ||No one contacted me about the situation. During the black out, I made a phone call to each of the three numbers on the guest information pamphlets and left messages. I received no return phone calls or reply email. | |The next morning, still there was no power.  On top of that, there was flooding on the bedroom floor.  At about 9 AM, I went to the reception lobby and spoke with Kim about our evening.  She explained that there was an island-wide power outage, and the Dolphin Cove had no generator.  I asked for compensation from the loss of services, but requests were declined.  Soon after, I checked out.  | |In reflection, there were great points about the Dolphin Cove:  the tidy guest room, upscale restaurant and bar, and helpful employees.  However, there was no power generator, no 24-hour lobby or on-site help, no communication system, and no swimming pool (as advertised). On top of that, the Dolphin Cove is not a conventional hotel; it is known for short- and long-term stays.  ||On July 23, I wrote Kenneth Brookes, the Managing Director, about my stay and he replied to my email within hours. He offered an apology and a credit toward a future stay.

Friendly,you can rent a car for the day through them.pool,jacuzzi.must eat at the restaurant,staff is exceptional.white sand beach just down the street we walked there daily.make sure you visit the humane society down the street!.they can arrange animals to new homes around the world.go visit and take a dog for a walk!!thanks!!from Seattle and Utah

Beautiful property and great staff. We’ve rented a car here, and the girls working the front were super awesome. Very customer service oriented. The WhatsApp support was quick, efficient, and helpful. Thank you.

I was overall satisfied with my stay at Dolphin Cove Hotel. My room was very spacious and comfortable, which I really appreciated. However, the check-in process was a bit chaotic and took quite a long time. Despite that, my stay was very pleasant, and the food at the attached restaurant was absolutely sensational – definitely the highlight of my visit! All in all, a good hotel with some minor service issues, but outstanding food.
