Google
Cool place, easy to get to and easy to park. Lots of donuts to chose from. My kids all picked their choices and I picked some. We went home and tried them all. Super fresh and delicious. I will say, they don’t stay fresh long, if you’re gonna get them, eat them that day or the next. Anything after that, even in fresh tight container became hard. Will be back for some more goodies for sure!

Google
Didn’t know about this place just moved here, and I need a quick cake and I can say ( Thank you Nacole from Fresh Thyme Market) they had a tasty pre-baked cake ready to go. And the days of being able to watch them make there items has been long gone but it was impressive, I haven’t seen this since I was a kid when things was wholesome. Staff is friendly and will greet you by name, when you’re a known customer. Love this place

Google
The donuts are excellent! Above and beyond all others. That being said, you will be nickel and dimed to the point of distraction. The don't take credit cards, charge extra for literally everything. It's just a shame because the product is so good that they know people will come despite the negatives.

Google
I got apple fritters, cinnamon, lemon, and red velvet donuts, and they were tastes of HEAVEN! 👼 The coffee was pretty good, too. I ordered french vanilla cappuccino(? I’m not sure) and it was very delicious. The staff were very professional.

Google
I absolutely love this community gem. My fave is the glazed, chocolate, apple fritters, and the jelly filled. I'm not a fan of the cinnamon roll it tasted more like a donut with cinnamon on it. Every time I've been there, the service is quick and pleasant. I've never hung out, so I can't speak on the atmosphere, but I notice the same group of elderly gentlemen having coffee inside. They look like they're comfortable and like you'd be welcome to pull up a chair. Anywho....go, get donuts. Stop reading and go.

Google
I’m so happy with my cake. My daughter loves pink tulips, and they were able to make her cake with less than 24 hours notice. Thank you.

Google
I've been a patron of this shop since 2006, and their quality remains the same. This place is a beloved staple of Ypsilanti mornings; a no frills donut shop that sells other baked goods like croissants and sweets like cookies and cakes as well as coffee and refrigerated drinks. The prices are great! My favorite is their cherry cheese Danish.

Google
Looked for a quick stop to grab a bagel and coffee, and this place rocks! In fact, I decided to get a bagel and a donut, because they looked incredible and they were! The apple fritter was maybe the best we’ve ever tasted, and they also had a unique red velvet donut, which was fantastic. If I’m in this area again, I will be back.

Yelp
The donuts here are so fresh and very delicious! If you have not tried them, you need to go. If you go early the donuts are really warm and fresh. The employees there are quick. The atmosphere Was really hard den k

Yelp
Dom's was the perfect bakery to go to when I was a college student in the area during very late study nights, when we'd deliriously drive a few miles to buy freshly baked donuts and a carton of milk to enjoy at 2 AM. I really enjoyed stopping by late at night, which is when their donuts were fresh out of the oven, and I'd ask for a red velvet or blueberry donut without glaze. Sadly, Dom's is no longer a 24/7 bakery and actually has regular open/close hours. It's also been a few years since I've last eaten a donut from Dom's, but my friend offered to grab a couple donuts to enjoy for breakfast a couple Saturdays ago. I got the blueberry donut (with glaze this time, lol) which was a bit too sweet for me but had the perfect cake donut texture. It went well with coffee. It doesn't hit as hard as it used to, but Dom's will remain part of my fond memories of late-night college degeneracy.

Yelp
Doms has good donuts (sometimes) but they're inconsistent. There was a time when they were the go-to spot for a quality donut but they can no longer rely running the store based on their past reputation. This morning, I ordered plain donuts and when I opened the bag and pulled them out the paper wrap had chocolate all over it. Did they use an old paper wrap that they just used for chocolate donuts? Just a bad look. I'd like to see them step up their game on quality consistency, customer service and customer satisfaction. I now split my time between Doms and DJ's on Packard. A little more care and attention would go along way with Doms.

Yelp
They have a amazing donuts and cakes! We prefer them to any other donut place. They're all very nice as well. Great quality and customer service.

Yelp
My goal over the weekend was to try donuts from three of the highest recommended donut places in/near Ann Arbor and Dom Bakeries was one of my choices. We walked in after lunch and found a small line picking up some very delicious looking donuts. As with the other bakeries we visited, we picked up the classic glazed and a cream long john to have a direct comparison. Glazed Donut ($1.50) - I found the dough in this yeast donut to be by far the heaviest and densest with the most chew of the three bakeries. It honestly feels kind of like a paczki - in fact, I'm sure some bakeries could claim this is a paczki (assuming you changed the shape and filled it). The glaze on the donut is thin and adheres to the dough the best, giving a lighter sweetness. The other side of the donut juts out and isn't the most aesthetically pleasing. The donut is fried well with a nice golden hue, with the middle having the requisite lighter colored dough stripe. Cream Long John ($2.00) - As with the glazed, this long john has dense dough, but thanks to not being glazed, it has a bit of a crust on the exterior. The interior cream is fluffy and sweet. When I chewed down on the cream, it still had noticeable sugar crystals. The chocolate ganache on top is standard and works well with the donut. Overall Dom Bakeries has the cheapest donuts but doesn't sacrifice quality. While I liked the donuts at one of the other bakeries more (making Dom rank 2 out of 3), Dom Bakeries is still a fantastic choice for scrumptious baked treats.

Yelp
This place was recommended by my colleagues. I wanted to do something nice by getting some baked goods for the AM. We had a planned dessert shindig for the department during lunch, so I knew to get only a few items for my team of 3. I woke up at 3:30AM PST to call to place my order. I couldn't place an order online though I saw the link the previous day. It would have made things a tad easier on me. Once I placed the order and paid, I texted my colleague so he can pickup and surprise my team w/ it. My team said they really enjoyed the bagels and donuts. I also got 3 sides of cream cheese (not pictured). It's a small token of appreciation from me. This wasn't company sponsored, so my funds were quite limited. I have teams across 3 different time zones. Service was friendly. Maybe I will try this place when I travel to Ann Arbor next month.

Yelp
This is my favorite of the independent bakeries in the area. The custard and cream chocolate frosted long johns, raspberry filled, lemon filled, and maple cake donuts were my favorite. I also tried apple cider, pumpkin, chocolate frosted, chocolate cake, and strawberry filled. Staff was friendly. The only thing I did not like is that almost nothing was labeled. It doesn't seem to be very efficient to have to keep asking what flavors they have, especially with the cake donuts that kinda look the same. There was only a sign on the counter that listed the fruit filled donuts and the seasonal donuts.

Dilon P.

Yelp
Dom has literally been the same for years! Always good customer service, always good and fresh doughnuts, same great location. Nothing has changed and that's a good thing.

Yelp
Yesterday I purchased half a dozen donuts and when I got home and opened the box one of them appeared to have been eaten???

Megan D.

Yelp
Their personalized cakes are the most gorgeously decorated I have ever seen. And they taste fantastic. Great service.

Yelp
This is seriously one of the best donut places I have ever been to. Located in the middle of nowhere between Detroit and Ann Arbor, had to make the stop after rave reviews all over. Unassuming from the outside, this spot has even more basic interior with a side.ordering counter and some seating around the room. Decided on the Chocolate Iced Donut, Jelly Filled a donut, and a Banana Nut Muffin (altogether less than $5). The donuts are fantastic - perfectly doughy without being dense or overcooked. The icing is fresh and not grainy. The jelly filling is substantial, with tons of flavor. Even the muffin is soft and spongy somehow. Staff here is really nice, despite questionable clientele. Worth a special trip over no matter where you are in this part of the state.

Yelp
I'm not a huge donut fan but my son was crying for a donut and Dunkin' was out of the way so I stopped at Dom. I reluctantly ordered a red velvet donut, expecting a dry tasteless donut but was pleasantly surprised with a flavorful decadent donut! The donut was so good I returned the next day for more. This time same decadent donut! I understand why there is a line out the door . It is delicious!

Steven Z.

Yelp
Well I just went into the bakery and they refuse to provide me service they just stood there making their donuts they looked up at me and kept doing what they were doing I'm being discriminated against again this town
google avatar

Trenton S.

Yelp
The donuts were just an average donut to us. The building is pretty run down. Inside there is stoke all over the lobby areas, not sure if this is the norm. I wouldn't go out of the way to go to this bakery. But also wouldn't be opposed to stopping if we're passing by.

Seong P.

Yelp
All baked goods taste and look great. Service is good. Staff are welcoming. A lot of customers come every day to grab a pastry item/s and coffee.
google avatar

James S.

Yelp
nice find! we were very pleased. We walked in and I approached one of the customers in line and asked if the donuts were any good. The gentlemen said "Oh yes, I have been coming here for 30 years. The donuts are great and so is the coffee, and I should know cuz I'm a cop". He was not lying. everything was fresh and fluffy, mmmmm yum. Bonus is that all the donuts looked delicious.
google avatar

Krisitna J.

Yelp
Ordered my birthday cake from them, so cute and delicious! (It's a korok from legend of Zelda BOTW) Exactly the cake I wanted! I got some donuts for my party while I was there and they were delicious! Recommend this place if you want amazing donuts and a delicious cake for any event.

John S.

Yelp
Donuts are so yummy! They are really , really good! The earlier you go, the better the selection. Donuts are Fresh All Day! Things to know: Surcharge for a credit card They are not open on Tuesdays They make cakes and have slices. They have muffins, cookies, and danishes
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing! I looooove their buttercream frosting! It's literally the best ever. I tried the chocolate cake with buttercream in Dec 2022, and it was phenomenal. Rich and buttery and perfectly moist! Saturday I enjoyed very delicious red velvet donut! It really hit the spot. The red velvet was everything I could have hoped for, rich, decadent and velvety (as the name implies!) Overall fantastic place for any bakery items your heart desires! Reasonable pricing! Especially for quality !
google avatar

Yelp
Dom's donuts are truly amazing! Big and very tasty. We were at the hospital near by and wanted donuts, looked up this place and definitely worth the effort!! Yum!
google avatar

Jeremy R.

Yelp
Best bakery in the area, no question. Has been my favorite spot for apple fritters and assorted donuts since I was like 10 years old.
google avatar

Rudy C.

Yelp
Excellent quality and great value. Also tasted great . I will definitely be back because of the variety of donuts
google avatar

Mandy D.

Yelp
This bakery is one of my all-time favs!! Anytime I need to order a cake, I come here to do it. They have always done a fantastic job and the cake/frosting are always perfection. (Way too good!) I used to live much closer to Dom's, but I now live 20 minutes away, and still make the drive for custom cakes. They make sure every detail I give them is on the cake and I've never been disappointed. They also have amazing long johns/custard donuts! They used to be cash-only but now I believe they take cards for an up-charge. I just always pay in cash here.
google avatar

Tiffany Z.

Yelp
Was given donuts from here as a house warming gift and we couldn't be more impressed. It was clear the donuts were made fresh and homemade! Every donut had a distinct flavor and all not too sweet either! It was a double surprise at how amazing they were because I was just searching the area for donuts specifically but never checked out Ypsi. I can't wait to go on my own and check out their selection!
google avatar

Mallory R.

Yelp
I love donuts and heard good things about Don's so I stopped in to try a few different donuts. The cake donut with chocolate icing was great, not too sweet and it tasted like the donuts I grew up with. I also tried the apple crisp donut and it was 10/10. Not quite like the apple cider donuts you'll get at the apple orchard but a very close second. Last donut I tried was a cream filled long john. It was the sweetest out of the three but I really liked the flavor and texture of the donut. Overall great selection of donuts inside the store, seemed to keep a good stock of donuts so you can get what you want, they have a drive thru, and the service was fast and friendly.
google avatar

Nicole E.

Yelp
I called ahead, they are open until 8pm. However, they are out of their filled donuts, have left their cake, glazed and twist donuts. I can work with those options left. You can only pick up donuts through the drive-through only. The inside is for the ATM machine or for cake pick ups only. Luckily they have a menu box on the outside by the drive-through. Are usually order or rather pick donuts based on what I see and not from a menu, this is a first. I heard over the PA that they have blueberry donuts and red velvet. Donuts via a drive thru has to be the most inefficient way to handle this business. They need a digital board to show what's left. I can't stand this place every second I am here. They have very little left. The guy taking the orders is curt and mechanical in his speech to us. He sounds much like a robot with one disappointment after another. No twists, no sour creams. They could rather tell you the handful of donuts they actually have rather than letting you ask for items that they are clearly out of. Their donuts aren't too bad, soft and tasty, maybe a bit doughy though. The outside has a decent crunch too. Their service is subpar and their ordering is rather slow, a hot mess and completely archaic. The drive-thru needs an overhaul. The guy taking the orders sounds like he can't stand being at this place as well.
google avatar

Martha R.

Yelp
Cheap, delicious, and fast. Make sure to bring some cash! And carry-out only right now. Busy times are a bit of a struggle, since there isn't enough room to line up with your car. Otherwise a great spot to get your donut fix on.
google avatar

Yelp
Donuts "Dom" Right! Go no where else but here if you're in the area. They are making ALL the delectable donuts the old fashioned way. These are the best donuts I've had in a very long time. You walk in and immediately get a whiff of that beautiful bakery fresh smell! I have to give them kudos as we went in right before closing (7pm) and on a Wednesday night and they still had plenty selection! The sour cream glazed are one of their many signatures and boy did they nail it! These generous sized donuts have the perfect texture, glaze and cream flavor you're not going to get at too many other places. The glazed raised were as fluffy as a pillow and melted in my mouth. The peanut coated donut had real ground pieces of peanuts in the glaze and not just peanut dust. The box weighed enough too so you're not just getting donuts that are all air! There was no residue of any oil or grease either. They had cute little decorated cakes in a variety of flavors. The prices are very reasonable too. They've been here for over 25 years and I can see why. You can see they put love into every morsel they make. All the donuts we had were delicious. I wish they were in my hometown of Chicago as they'd give quite a few donut places a run for their money!! I'm not leaving Ypsilanti without a dozen for home. Dom Bakery is definitely one at the old world top donut places for my record books around the U.S.
google avatar

Jennifer N.

Yelp
Nice family business shop. Had the apple fritter donut, which was good. The plain glazed was okay. The server was very nice.
google avatar

Angela H.

Yelp
Cookies in trash! Wasted my money, $9.00 for 6 cookies and they had the worst icing I HAVE EVER TASTED! Have loved this place for years but this feels like trying to find cheap ways to make icing, don't know... but it WAS TERRIBLE. Don't even know how to describe it.
google avatar

Patrick C.

Yelp
BEST DONUTS EVER! The plain fried cakes are large and perfectly cooked. Pair with coffee and it's one of the best breakfasts ever.
google avatar

Olivia G.

Yelp
Delicious and inexpensive. Donuts will always be a staple as long as I live in Ypsi. Drive through is the best bonus. Can't wait to go back soon!!
google avatar

Paige K.

Yelp
Well... good selection for the afternoon. Fair prices and not BAD but significantly overrated. Got the glazed old fashioned (my fav) which was good size and had good texture but lacked flavor... just something missing and tasted a little off 6.5/10. Also had the blueberry cake. Again, nice sized but a tad dry and lacked pop in the flavor... 6/10. Finally, apple fritter for my bf so I only had a few bites. Again... decent, actually good cinnamon flavor but not crispy enough for my liking.

Kristi P.

Yelp
These donuts will make you weep they are so good. If heaven has apple fritters, it will be Dom's.
google avatar

Takami T.

Yelp
Dom Bakeries is my most favorite donut place in town. I have recommended there to my friends and coworkers, and they all love this place.
google avatar

Esther C.

Yelp
Definitely the best donuts I've had in the greater Ann Arbor area. Not too sweet, not overpriced, just right! Highly recommend! :)
google avatar

Annette J.

Yelp
This was the ultimate place to celebrate National Donut Day last week. I got a nice box of mixed flavors including some melt in your mouth glazed and chocolate covered yeast donuts, crullers, powdered sugar, cinnamon, chocolate and chocolate glazed cake donuts. and a glorious chocolate glazed sprinkles. I couldn't even wait to bust into the box, I sat and ate two in my car and they were warm and incredible! $12 for a dozen these days. Cash only, which I forgot, but they have their ATM on site. But it's worth the fee to have the best donuts in Washtenaw county!
google avatar

AJ M.

Yelp
These donuts are to die for. I look forward to coming here every time I visit the area. Try the crushed peanut donut, you won't regret it.

Yelp
Ok, so this one has been a long time coming.... Who walks into a donut shop at 8:30pm and eat donuts? Well, apparently have of Ypsy does!!! lol....and for good reason. I went to this kick-ass dumpling house a month ago with my siblings and, afterwards, my brother says..."'lets stop by Dom's". I'm like "who...what?" He says's the donut shop off of Washenaw near campus..." So, we went. And wow...lol We were all already full from the massacre we did on God knows how many dumplings in Ann Arbor...now, on to finale. My brother, orders, no lie...a dozen donuts. My Sister-in-Law order 6 donuts...my oldest sister orders two and my second oldest sisters get full dozen herself. Now it's my turn. I order 2...to start. Now, before you judge us like were some far distant relatives to Bonny Boo Boo...or whatever her name is...we ain't. My bother took most of them home as did my sister...but I ate my two and got two more!!! These donuts are beyond amazing. Did I mentioned I was 830pm? Well don't think for a moment we were eating old donuts either....cause they weren't. Turns out, and we saw this first hand...the place Is insanely busy. I bet, in the 25-30 minutes we hung out there enjoying our sugar and fat high, nursing a few coffees...I bet, and I'm probably shy a bit...I bet we saw 40-50 different people come in and order donuts. This place was constantly busy. The family in the back looked like they doubled as bees. They each had their specific job, making the many different types of donuts. Their selection is unbelievable. Oh and they also make these crazy god cookies. I had one of those too. Glad a got a long run in that morning...Jesus. Enjoy Ypsy!! lucky bastards !
google avatar

Bryan K.

Yelp
Never understood why I've been addicted to their coffee but it is seriously tasty. Some of my favorite donuts are the sour cream glaze and the Apple fritters both must try!!!
google avatar

Shari I.

Yelp
Best Apple fritter we've ever had - and we've tried a lot! Also tried the red velvet and pumpkin. They were good, but nothing like the Apple fritter. It had the perfect crunch on the outside, but was moist and delicious on the inside! And we stopped for this treat at around 3:30 in the afternoon!
google avatar

Al M.

Yelp
It's FAT TUESDAY...and that means that jelly and custard are oozing all over the Detroit Metro area as Polish pastries known as Paczki (POONCH-key) are being fried up by the box load. Around here, these tasty, old-world orbs are THE thing to wolf down on Fat Tuesday, the day before Lent begins. Local bakeries all over Motown open well before the sun comes up today to prepare for the onslaught of customers cueing up for their yearly haul of Paczki. I chose to stop at Dom Bakeries in the city of Ypsilanti on the western side of Detroit and the home of Eastern Michigan University. I ordered a full two dozen Paczki with assorted fillings including raspberry, lemon, custard, blueberry, apple and strawberry. Two dozen!!...Say What?? Please understand that I won't be scarfing down two dozen of these babies by myself. My wife likes to bag up and give away about 18 of the 24 Paczki to our friends and neighbors. While these calorie-laden goodies will never win the prize as the healthiest treat on the planet, chowing down some Paczki once a year on Fat Tuesday is a pure delight. Dom scores the brass ring and 5 stars.
google avatar

Dion T.

Yelp
Best donuts in the city. The nutty, glazed and custard long Johns are always great (as is all the other stuff), glad to see that they take credit cards now.
google avatar

Suzanne G.

Yelp
Not so hidden gem in Ypsilanti. Their Apple fritters are amazing, but honestly we've enjoyed every type of donut and danish that we've tried. Drive thru moved quick, just remember cash preferred or they add a .50 cent charge to debit or credit cards.
google avatar

Suzanne B.

Yelp
Fantastic local bakery for everything from doughnuts to croissants! Bring cash or face a 50 cent upcharge for use of a card My husband surprised me recently with doughnuts from Dom's on a weekend. He grabbed a variety of them, and no matter which flavor I tried, they hit the spot for me. I'm not generally a doughnut person, either, so finding a place that has ones that I like speaks for itself. I decided to return the favor and swing by for croissants one morning, after hearing that they are supposed to have amazing ones. The lobby was open, and I was immediately greeted by an employee when I walked in. I was overwhelmed with the variety of baked goods that I saw -- cakes, doughnuts, cookies, and finally croissants on a bottom shelf. I ordered 2 and a cup of coffee, all of which totaled only $4.50. The verdict at home? Enormous size, good flakiness, and buttery flavor. Definitely worth repeating. And now with 2 good experiences at Dom's under our belt, it won't be long before we return to try out cookies, cakes, or cupcakes as well.
google avatar

Jane D.

Yelp
Great donuts. Love their Apple fritters. It seems family run. Easy to pull in and park. Has tables outside.
google avatar

Jackie W.

Yelp
They make the best Donuts and have grt service also available 24 hrs a day last checked before pandemic. They also have cookies and cakes
google avatar

Tarik B.

Yelp
Apple fritters are next levels for donuts. They aren't Sweetwater in Kalamazoo but some damn good donuts and the apple fritters are elite and massive. Precovid they were open 24/7 and you could get them hot off thr fryer at like 3 am but not anymore.
google avatar

Barry C.

Yelp
Outstanding. Scrumptious fresh and probably can be bad for cardiac health in large quantities! Kind staff, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I love this place; as long as it is in town, I will continue to be a customer. If you haven't been there - I advise you to make a visit and try the red velvet glazed donuts or the cream filled long john's.
