"The espresso martini is everywhere, but an excellent version can still be hard to find. At DOM’s swanky underground speakeasy and honeycomb bar, headed by mixologist Albert Trummer of Apothéke, the Espresso Martini is rum-based, giving it a depth and warmth we didn’t know we’d been missing. It starts with vanilla-infused espresso shaken with a chocolate elixir, Kahlua, and finished with our favorite premium rum, BACARDÍ Ocho." - Vox Creative
Why Does Every Bar in NYC Want to Be a Speakeasy Right Now? - Eater NY
"Today’s speakeasies — bars with clandestine entrances that hope to evoke those born out of the Prohibition era — are nothing new to the city. But Time Out New York reports that after a pandemic hiatus, speakeasies seem to be opening en masse again. In recent months, bars like One19, Saint Tuesday, UnPublished at Serafina in the Sky, D.O.M., and the Cactus Shop have branded themselves as speakeasies." - Emma Orlow
"A basement cocktail bar on East 22nd Street (next to a British steakhouse) where Albert Trummer currently works alongside his son Jakob; at present it is available for private events and is slated to open to the public soon. The program retains showmanship but in a more restrained mode—Jakob’s menu includes theatrically smoked drinks such as Aztec Medicine, which infuses mezcal, lime, fruit and spices with smoking applewood chips." - Robert Simonson
Thank you, Dom, for hosting my fashion show! It was an incredible experience to open New York Fashion Week at your venue. The space was absolutely perfect—we fit 400 guests comfortably, and the atmosphere was nothing short of electric. Your hospitality and attention to detail made the event seamless and unforgettable. I truly appreciate your support in bringing my vision to life. Looking forward to working together again! Von Emme Fashion

Set up is actually decent. Service was wack and the DJ got up and left mid way through - i’m not surprised. They also tried to over charge our bottle service by over 1k. Do not waste your time.

They lied to me about mandatory coat check and wouldn't give me my ticket until I tipped. I asked if it would be cold inside. They said the heat is on. Went downstairs to find the AC is on and it's freezing. Bartender pre-selected 22% tip when I paid for a glass of wine. The decor and ambiance is cheap and low effort. This place is trying very hard to convey luxury and class with Temu props and excessive curtains that sag all over the ground. Never coming here again.

DOM in NYC is an exceptional lounge! The incredible cocktails are expertly crafted and offer a delightful range of flavors. The ambiance is both sophisticated and welcoming. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive, making every visit memorable. Highly recommend for a great night out!

Wowzers! What a great experience, whether it’s a gallery or a club I couldn’t tell because of how high end this experience & party was! The cocktails were delicious. You know it’s classy when your date can’t order a “ vodka redbull “ overall amazing experience and I’m definitely coming back !

the drinks were fine, but def not anything i would come back for. the DJ was cool but the music got so loud and I felt like i was getting a headache by 12:30am or so.
we left a credit card with them for the tab and they swiped the wrong one on our bill. they ended up putting the $300 bill on the house but it was just strange

Perfect combination of art, good music, great vibe, and busy yet not overcrowded lounge/club. Great for large groups, just keep the ratio mixed and you will be in no questions asks. otherwise a bartab or a table minimum may be required which is standard in any NYC lounge/club.

First, some positives: nice decor, nice art. nice amount of seating if you need it. But there is an issue with the bar. No menu and they only offer "classic cocktails". So I ordered a basic one and the price came out to $30.

Yelp
So I had no idea this place existed until this was the location for an event that I was attending. There wasn't a single Yelp review to go on so I'm happy to be the first!
I came here for an event. The event was 7-10:30 pm and DOM usually opens at 10 pm.
To find this place, it is at the address 287 Park Ave but once you walk through the glass doors you are directed towards some curtains. To be honest, if there wasn't a line of people outside I wouldn't have known to find DOM. But I guess that's what makes it a speakeasy right?
The bouncer was making everyone wait outside until the coat check line died down. For whatever reason they made everyone do mandatory coat check. Once you finish that, you make your way down the stairs.
The space itself isn't that big but it's cute. Red lighting and a disco ball! The DJ was pretty good.
There is a small room with some art if you want to find a spot with brighter lighting and to escape the main area. There is one main bar in the back.
I'm not sure if that DJ was hired exclusively for the event or if he's a regular there.
My only complaint would be that the floor level is not exactly level/even. There are some parts where it's 1 inch higher or there's a carpet somewhere. So pay attention to where you are walking - especially by the couches.

Yelp
$32.50 ($25/drink plus mandatory 20% tip and %8.75 tax) for a single Tequila on the rocks. Won't be back.

Yelp
The cocktails are not good and the music is bad. Plus it's under a Staple so that's strange. Overall the experience was unpleasant.

Yelp
Came here as a guest with a bunch of friends this place was not great to the point where I had to share, the service was slow and super rude. The atmosphere felt stale and out of date, strange crowed. Will not be returning when there are better places to go in the city

Yelp
Drinks are way overpriced. If you like techno and overpriced drinks then this is the place to go lol. You have to get there early because the guy who runs the door is strict.

Yelp
Drinks were ok, staff was rude not sure why when you're spending so much to be there. Music was loud and in your face not great
