Best Napa Valley Wineries - Vineyards & Tours

"Founded by Champagne Taittinger in 1989, Domaine Carneros's impressive, largely solar-powered château was modeled on Taittinger's Château de la Marquetterie in France. Between the architecture and the bubbly, you'd be forgiven for feeling like you're in Champagne itself, but the range of tasting experiences is pure Napa. The Daily Tasting starts at $40, the Art of Sparkling Wine Pairing: Bubbles and Bites begins at $95, and The Art of Sabrage goes for $150 and includes cheese, meats, and caviar. The Ultimate Chips and Dip Tasting is $175, and may change your snacking forever." - Food & Wine Editors

My visit to Domaine Carneros was absolutely lovely. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable—they took their time explaining each wine in our tasting flight, which made the experience both fun and informative. The tasting room had a calm and elegant atmosphere with beautiful vineyard views through the windows. It felt peaceful and relaxing the entire time. The wines were excellent, especially the sparkling ones, and the small cheese and snack platter was a nice surprise (I honestly can’t remember if I ordered it or not!). The place was clearly popular, but it never felt crowded. I’ll definitely come back again—and yes, I’m including a video because pictures alone can’t capture how nice it was!

Google
Very nice winery but the tasting was a little commercialized compared to others. The location is located near a highway but the grounds were beautiful. The views were nice as well. The tasting was average as we shared a waiter who explained the wines but would end up having to leave to help other tables. We sat with many others. The wine was pretty good and the Charcuterie we ordered was good.

Domaine Carneros was a highlight of our road trip! Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his job, making our experience even more enjoyable. The atmosphere was peaceful and inviting, perfect for sipping wine. The wines were absolutely delicious, and the sparkling rosé stole the show—it was simply delightful! We visited with friends, and everyone had a wonderful time. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area!

Google
Great experience. I strongly suggest a tasting room reservation as this place is usually packed. And aim for late afternoon, this is when things slow down a bit. Bring a camera or charge your phone because there are great photo opportunities as you make your way up the stair. Yes, I just said stairs, and there are quite a few of them, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Everyone was able to choose their own flight selection, we paired it with the caviar flight and charcuterie board. And the food tasted amazing. We bought the mimosa sugar cubes on our way in and trust, they helped with some of the flight samples. The atmosphere was warm and inviting (we opted for the indoor seating, and lucked up and landed a spot next to the blazing fireplace). Overall we had a great time, and will definitely be visiting again soon. If you have never been this is definitely one to add to your bucket list.

Google
This place really does do well on first impressions. The estate is beautiful, and the atmosphere really makes you feel relaxed. The tasting selections, while limited, are all quite nice, and you can't really go wrong with any of the wines they have. If you're looking for a simple, but elegant experience with a relaxing view, I'd pay this winery a quick visit for a taste of Napa Valley.

Google
This was the first winery i visited on my Napa trip and it was a great way to start, i think if i ended with it i may have been underwhelmed. The location is gorgeous and perfect for photos, the lighting is perfect. The pours are generous and i enjoyed all of the wine we got to try. They have food available to add on, we got their charcuterie board and it was pretty overpriced but it paired well with the wine. The service was okay, it took a while for anyone to help us and our waiter spilled wine and water while pouring a few times. Overall, this was a fun time and it was on the cheaper side for a wine tasting so it was definitely worth it!

Google
We visited Domaine Carneros for the Art of Sabrage tasting, and while the grounds were absolutely stunning—filled with picture-perfect spots—it slightly missed the mark overall. We arrived about 10 minutes early, joining several others enjoying the view and snapping photos. Check-in didn’t begin until exactly 10am, which led to a long line. Once checked in, we were told we'd receive a text when our table was ready. Despite our early arrival, we waited nearly 15 more minutes and were among the last seated—disappointing for a tasting experience priced over $100 per person. The charcuterie board was beautiful, and they were wonderfully accommodating of a gluten intolerance in our group. That said, the board included a small amount of caviar in the center, which made sharing between four people a bit awkward. It would have felt more thoughtful (and appropriate for the price) to portion boards per two guests. The sabrage itself was very cool to witness—a dramatic pop of the cork over the terrace railing—but the experience lasted under three minutes and took place in a public space, easily viewable by others not doing the tasting. It lacked the exclusivity or intimacy I had expected. All in all, it was a nice visit with great scenery and some memorable moments, but for the premium cost, it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

Google
I booked a sparkling wine tasting at Domaine Carneros to celebrate my mother’s birthday, expecting a memorable and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, it was the complete opposite due to the unprofessional behavior of our host/server, Chenoa (per her name badge). From the start, her service was rude and dismissive. Unlike other hosts who were actively sharing information about the winery and the wines, we received no introduction or explanation at all. We felt excluded and disregarded. The worst moment came when my sister accidentally spilled champagne on the table and herself. I immediately asked for assistance, but instead of receiving napkins or any form of proper help, we were handed a kitchen cloth. When I asked politely for napkins, Chenoa responded rudely, insisting that the kitchen cloth was a napkin. Not only was the table never wiped properly, but the tone and attitude she used were unprofessional and disrespectful. Please refer to the attached photos as proof of what was given to us. This experience completely ruined what was meant to be a special occasion. While the winery itself is beautiful, the lack of hospitality and poor customer service overshadowed everything. Unless improvements are made in staff training and guest care, we will not return, and I believe this behavior reflects poorly on Domaine Carneros’ reputation. UPDATE: The management reached out and issued a refund for our visit.

Yelp
Corey was amazing and attentive-- he was incredibly knowledgeable and made our experience unforgettable! We did a tasting and had an absolute blast. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
Even thought my boyfriend and I aren't wine connoisseurs, we had an amazing experience at this winery! We ordered a charcuterie board along with two wine tastings and everything was fantastic. The staff did a great job in explaining g each pour in a way that felt very welcoming and easy to follow. The charcuterie board was beautifully presented with a nice variety of cheeses, meats and accompaniments. The view was stunning. We got seated on the terrace with views of the rolling vineyards and elegant estate made the whole afternoon feel very special. Even without being wine experts we left feeling like we had a very memorable experience! I highly recommend this place and next time we return to Napa we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Using their website, We made a wine tasting appointment a few hours before we thought we would arrive. It was a lovely day for outdoor seating on their patio. We arrived on time and were seated and Gabriel came over with water and their options for today. My wife selected the sparking wine tasting flight (4 glasses). I selected the red wine tasting flight. After a short time the glasses were setup on a description card for each flight and we were introduced to each as they were poured (a generously pour for sure). There was no rush at all with Gabriel checking in periodically. We have been here several times over 38 years time and it is always a treat. At the end we selected one red and one sparkling bottle to take back home to GA

Yelp
This was our first stop on our Napa trip and it was a great first stop! We had a reservation and were seated promptly. They offered us an inside spot or the patio and we couldn't say no to the patio with those beautiful views. We were greeted quickly by our server who ran through all of our options for tasting menus. I picked the sparkling tasting, and my husband picked the higher end tasting that includes their Pinot Noirs. When our server brought back all of the wine to pour us, he walked through all of them including characteristics and tasting notes. I was really impressed with all of their wines. We work in the industry, but I never had their wines before and now I will be trying to get them at our location! My favorite was their late disgorged brute which had incredible notes of green apple and was so smooth. Their Pinot Noirs were also really good- they had the fruity aspects of a Pinot you typically get however, they were decently tanic. Cab and pinot drinkers alike. Would love this one. We're also considering joining their club because of how good the wines were! Definitely add this to your agenda if you're visiting the Napa area.

Yelp
Quality/Quantity - Not surprising, you are the #1 reviewed winery in Napa! With over 2.8K reviews. This was our go-to place to relax since 1987; yes, we have been day 1 customers. If you are following, I am a red drinker. And since my last HI, AU, and NZ trips, I now drink a few (very few) whites. Of course it also depends on the food. Anyways, my wife and daughter wanted to bring our guest here at the last second.... So we bought each of them a glass and wandered the property. If you sit down on the outdoor terrace, it is a minimum of $45 per person (no minimum in the past) whether you drink or NOT. That would have been an expensive $250-$300 experience for only two drinkers in our group; no thanks. I know my daughter got the rose champagne and I am not sure what our guest got. They both seemed to enjoy it. Atmosphere - Again, our previous go-to place. But to be honest, I now prefer and have discovered SO many better (personal preference) wineries! Beautiful location, picture perfect, well if you can crop out HWY 12 from your pictures, lol. Not easy in and out today as we needed to make a left turn from downtown Napa. But good thing I am a good driver and can be aggressive if needed to be. Service - Just okay. Again, way better in the past. I think it's too touristy now and their service, prices, and policies reflect it. Price - Expensive. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1987, we have been customers since then.

Yelp
The price point for the wine tasting was very reasonable, and the atmosphere/views were great. We didn't eat any food, but everyone around us seemed to really enjoy theirs -- plates were cleared! The place isn't overly pretentious, either in presentation or the crowd, which gave it a really good vibe overall. We ordered two flights: one of their reds and one of their champagnes. I do wish the flights had more variety, as they're more focused on tasting wines within a single category rather than mixing it up, but it was still a solid experience.

Yelp
Our first time in Napa and it could not have started out with a better winery! Our waiter was Richard and he was so great and attentive! Exceptional service Our guest of honor is really only a "whites" girly so he catered our tasting to just that. The food pairing went really well with our wines. The vineyard was so beautiful and the views were amazing! Total spent $323 for 4

Yelp
Yes, the building and views from the terrace are impressive, but it felt very corporate/disneyland-esque. Be prepared for crowds of tourists. The guy helping us offered minimal information and was on auto-pilot (compared to the friendly, engaging person helping the table behind us). And as someone else pointed out, beware, the tip is added to any bottles you purchase, on top of the tip for the tasting fee. We didn't realize this until we were given the receipt.

Yelp
Visited Domaine Carneros on a recent trip through Napa Valley. The property is undeniably beautiful-classic, elegant ambiance with stunning views and a French chateau vibe. It's definitely Instagram-worthy. That said, the overall experience didn't quite live up to the hype. The sparkling wines were just okay-nothing particularly memorable or complex, and despite the tasting flight, I didn't really feel a buzz (which, for the price, was a bit surprising). Speaking of price, everything felt a little too steep for what you get. You're clearly paying for the setting more than the wine. Glad I checked it off the list, but probably wouldn't rush back. Worth it if you're into the scene and the setting, but not a must for serious wine lovers.

Yelp
Lovely experience at Domaine Carneros! They have an elegant space that is very classy. Gorgeous views on the patio. We were greeted with a welcome glass for our sparkling wine tasting. The flight was fantastic. Server was very knowledgeable. Really enjoyed caviar and oysters.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds. It's the exterior that draws you in. Other than that it's comparable to Sterling. We also visited Hall, Walt, Caymus and Quintessa

Yelp
Gorgeous winery! I love how they have food here too! Service was good once we were sitting down but they made us wait 15 minutes to sit even with a reservation and seating preference listed. This was a bit of an irritant. If you want to get that real vineyard Tuscan feel you must stop here in Napa!
google avatar

Crystal W.

Yelp
Beautiful property. Needs reservation even though it wasn't super packed on a Monday. We were able to purchase a glass and sit wherever we liked which was nice. I chose the Blanc de Napa and it was quite strong and sharp. We enjoyed it but glad we shared

Yelp
Started my weekend early and came on a Friday afternoon with family. My cousin is a member of Domaine Carneros, so we got a complementary glass of sparkling wine which was a nice touch. We sat outside because it was nice day which was the best decision. The tasting was wonderful, our server was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. The food was also delicious. We ordered the charcuterie which complimented the wines perfectly. Came home with a Brut Rose which is my favorite! If you love bubbles, Domaine Carneros is a must in Napa.
google avatar

Yelp
If you love bubbly and wonderful views, this is a place to visit. Easy to make reservations online. Arrive early so you can walk around the premise before partaking and feeling a little bit tipsy :0 Did all sparkling tasting and the person who helped us was friendly, knowledgeable and personable. He's been there a few years so really explained the process and the differences in grapes/varietals and what made a bottle "disgorged" or not. Very educational. We also ordered the meat and cheese plate as the pours are generous and I wanted to enjoy what I was tasting. The scenery is breathtaking and the premise is lovely to stroll through.
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful venue and solid wines. Great place to hangout with amazing views. The charcuterie board was great! High quality cheese and meats. The blanc de blanc and pinots were well balanced and had depth and complexity. Overall nothing we didn't like. Membership deal is also really fair.

Yelp
At the second stop on my Napa tour, I thoroughly enjoyed Domaine Carneros. From the car, the view of the chateau is breathtaking. We were seated immediately to panoramic Napa Valley views, providing an awesome conclusion to the trip. We ordered the sparkling chateau tasting and the Charcuterie & Pate selection. Delectable, potent wines and fresh cheese made it easy to settle in. Outstanding!
google avatar

KayAnna S.

Yelp
I definitely suggest making a reservation ahead of time, especially if you want to have a guaranteed tasting. The grounds are beautiful and even if you don't want a tasting I highly suggest just getting a tour because it really is stunning. I did go for the tasting this last time and ended up ordering a vegan "cheese" board to complement our sparkling wine. The vegan cheeses are all made from almond or cashew milk. I was very impressed with these options since I usually don't like dairy-free cheeses, but these were spectacular. They tasted so real and creamy! They didn't spread as well as real cheese would but that would be the only con. All the cheeses paired well with the mushroom "pate". Our server/wine specialist was really attentive and even brought us extra crackers for all the cheese (as the cheese definitely went a long way). We did each choose the sparking wine sampler. My personal favorite was the brut rose as it wasn't very sweet but more crisp and fruity. I've enjoyed sparkling wine in the past, but if you know you do not, then I would suggest their red wine sampler or grande tasting. Just a lovely experience overall. If the outdoor/patio seating is available for the tasting, I highly recommend it!
google avatar

Gab G.

Yelp
Pros: Wines were fantastic. I did the grande tasting ($65) with the 2018 Late Disgorged Brut, 2017 Le Rêve Blanc de Blancs, 2022 Le Ciel Serein Pinot Noir and 2022 The Famous Gate Pinot Noir. Cheese pairing was also tasty. Cons: Little fussy (lots of bachelorettes and they hit you with the gift shop right away). They also sat us 30 minutes past our reservation though they made up for it with a complimentary glass of bubbly. Let's go with 4.5 stars.

Yelp
Napa has many wineries to offer, but Domaine Carneros stands out! They are dedicated to sustainable farming and have received multiple sustainability certificates. The property is beautiful, with a grand staircase that passes through Pinot Noir and Chardonnay vineyards. All their wines are made using the "Methode Traditionalle," the same method used for Champagne. They offer different wine selections that can be paired with charcuterie, cheese boards, pâté, and many other elegant options. I chose the "Sparkling Sampler," which included Blanc de Noir, Estate Brut Cuvée, Brut Rosé, and Vermeil Demi-Sec. I ordered a platter of assorted macarons (coconut, pistachio, caramel, and strawberry) to pair with the wine. The wines were excellent. I enjoyed the tasting experience outdoors overlooking the vineyards, and it was serene. The experience was beautiful, and the wines were top-notch! The winery can get busy, and hence it's recommended to make a prior reservation. The service is very smooth, even when it gets busy. My partner, who was going to drive, decided not to participate in the tasting. So the only drawback I saw is that, unlike some wineries in Napa, Domaine Carneros doesn't offer any options beyond sparkling water for guests who choose not to drink. Nevertheless, a visit to this winery is highly recommended!

Yelp
Such a lovely winery! My boyfriend took me here last Saturday to celebrate my birthday and I had the best time. The weather was perfect, not too hot and not too cold, so we enjoyed sitting outside. I got the sparkling sampler, which comes with four tastings, and I honestly liked all of them especially since I'm a white wine gal. My favorite was the Chardonnay, so of course I had to buy a bottle. I always grab a bottle whenever I visit a winery, my collection is definitely growing. We also ordered the charcuterie board and it was really good. Our server was super friendly and I love how he shared tips on which meats and fish pair well with each wine. Highly recommend checking this place out!
google avatar

Margaret N.

Yelp
Loved the champagne tasting! They give you a lot of champagne too! We sat outside and ordered pairing platters. Our favorite was the veggie cheese platter and our least was the caviar on the puff pastry because the pastry was dry. The service was great and the views were amazing! Great place to have a relaxing Sunday brunch with girlfriends!
google avatar

Yelp
Domaine Carneros is undeniably beautiful, with stunning vineyard views and an elegant chateau-style setting that makes for a picture-perfect experience. The ambiance is relaxing, and it's a great spot to sit back and enjoy the scenery. Service was wonderful and I strongly recommend a reservation. I opted for the sparkling wine tasting. The 2019 ultra Brut was extremely dry and probably my least favorite of the sample. The 2020 estate brut cuvée was also extremely dry but a tad bit sweeter. The 2021 brut rose was sweet but I was expecting sweeter from the smell. Lastly the 2021 vermeil demi sec was my personal favorite as it was sweet and bubbly. However, the wines themselves were underwhelming. While the sparkling selections were decent, nothing really stood out, and the still wines were especially lacking in depth and flavor. For the price, I expected a bit more from the tasting experience. If you're visiting for the atmosphere and views, it's worth a stop, but if you're looking for truly memorable wines, you might want to explore other options in Napa.

Yelp
Ended up making a day-of reservation at Domaine Carneros, and I am glad I did. If you're in Sonoma, it's pretty hard to miss this place since it's a beautiful chateau perched on top of a hill. I noticed one couple that came just to take pictures and didn't even do a tasting (can I really blame them? No). I will say though that DC definitely felt very commercial compared to other wineries I visited. It's not as personalized, but you get what you pay for - and the tastings are much more inexpensive than other ones I went to. I will say I am not sure how accessible this place is since there's a lot of stairs and I didn't see a lift/elevator anywhere (but there could have been a hidden entrance). There's also a few rooms available, and unfortunately, the weather was cold and grey when we arrived so no one wanted to sit outside, but we were seated in a big room with floor to ceiling windows and next to a giant fireplace. Sadly, you cannot choose where you end up sitting (to my knowledge), so we got lucky. We got not only sparkling wine tastings but also food (the caviar and cheese/charcuterie were all delicious). Our server Jess was so sweet and did a great job of taking us through the sparkling wines we ordered. However, this isn't a comment about Jess but moreso about the tasting experience itself - we noticed DC pours all four glasses of sparkling wine tastings at once which made us wonder how that would affect the wines (taste, carbonization) since it took us about 90 minutes to finish all of our glasses.

Yelp
Came here with a group of six girls for a bachelorette group and had a private room booked. There is a minimum charge per person that must be met but it includes food as well, so we ordered the cheese plate as well as macarons since quite a few in our group didn't drink. The scenery was pretty and I did like the macarons. However, my main gripe was the service. Our server Salvador was a little sus as he did not warn us beforehand that the sparkling tea infusions were whole bottles and not drinks. We purchased three bottles unknowingly and even though two were left unopened, we couldn't send them back because he already added them to our receipt. A heads up about an order being a bottle rather than a single drink would have been much appreciated. Other than that, service was slow and I had to get up to find someone when we were trying to pay our bill.

Yelp
This place passed the vibe check!! Vibe, views, and vino!! We made reservations ahead month in advance as we did not want to miss out on a wine tasting at this chateau. The staff were helpful, attentive and knowledgeable as they helped us pick a wine tasting selection and informed us of each wine we had. We selected the sparkling wine tasting for $50 along with a charcuterie add on for $25. Each wine was delicious and the meats and cheeses on the board were heavenly. We were able to snap pics as the 11am-1pm hours aren't that busy. Be sure to book early if you want time to snap photos before your tasting so there's not a lot of people in line to take pics or people having to walk in your pics.

Yelp
There are places with good wine and there are places that look good for social media. If you're lucky you can find one with both--Domaine is not one of those places. Aesthetically pleasing and breathtaking, the tasting room and salon area are beautiful. Overlooking the gorgeous estate, my group and I were excited for the tasting as we marched up the grandiose steps. The grandeur stopped quickly. Even on the rainy day we went, it was jam-packed with patrons. Our group of 4 was efficiently guided and seated with menus on the table. We then proceeded to wait. As servers were whistling past us with bottles and hors-d'oeuvres, the leftover check from the previous party somehow confused the staff into ignoring us for nearly 10 minutes. By the time we were attended to, we made our decisions on which flights to get and light bites to eat. The wine is average. With half the group trying the Pinot Flight and the other going the Sparkling route, all 4 of us were left unimpressed and uninspired. Except for the Brut Rose, the other wines just fell flat and felt generic. The caviar was average as well with the group sentiment being that it is not the worst but far from the best we've had. If you wanted to start your Napa adventure here, it'd make sense as it's aesthetic and the wine will only get better elsewhere. The service, quality, and associated price tag are not aligned with one another. If someone in the group marks it as a MUST GO, then grab a bottle of the Brut Rose and enjoy the views.

Yelp
This time we came from a cruise ship in San Francisco, on our way to Canada. We took a ferry to Richmond and met friends who drove us here. I ordered a big glass of rose wine and we had appetizers. The grounds and the building are beautiful. The wine was delicious. Everyone else drank champagne.

Yelp
Awesome experience- lively chateau surrounded by rolling hills in the heart of Napa. Loved their sparkling wine flight with appetizers like cheese & crackers. Friendly staff & reasonable prices.

Yelp
Lovely property with amazing views! We had a reservation and were able to be seated right away. Our server was pleasant and checked on us periodically. We didn't order a tasting like most others, because we wanted to just relax and enjoy the view at the end of the day. He seemed a little bothered at first, but was kind enough to let us try two different bruts as we were finishing up so we could decide which bottle we wanted to purchase and take home. We had a pleasant experience and would definitely come back.

Yelp
Loved, loved, loved this French inspired chateau!! My girls and I did the bubbles and bites, Tour of the Mediterranean tasting, and it was tasty as well as a good time. I would definitely revisit. I hate that I don't remember our servers name, I want to say it was Cory but he did a really good job and was an incredible host. There were quite a bit of guests but it didn't feel over crowded. Easily one of my favorite spaces!

Yelp
I'm a sparkling wine lover and this property didn't disappoint. We had a lot we wanted to do and it was a Bit too leisurely for our needs. It was hard to track down our server when we were ready to check out.
google avatar

Steve W.

Yelp
My wife and I attended a sparkling wine pairing event with Mediterranean bites at Domaine Carneros. First, the architecture of the property is amazing. There is nothing like it in Napa or Sonoma. Arturo was our host and wine expert. He was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and fun. We enjoyed tasting 8 different wines during our appointment. Their sparkling wine is world class. The small Mediterranean bites fell a little short for us. Although the small bites sounded inventive and tasty in the description of the event, the execution and flavor was underwhelming. Specifically, the halibut crudo was not fresh and very fishy. While I wouldn't recommend the Mediterranean pairing event, I would highly recommend any event highlighting their sparkling wine. The architecture, property, and their wine make this a MUST stop when in Napa.

Yelp
Disappointed with the experience at Domaine Carneros overall. When we checked in celebrating my husband and I's honeymoon, were told they had the best seat to accommodate us. After being lead outside, we were seated at a second tier two top with the only view being a stone wall and others tasting. When our server Gabriel greeted us, he clearly picked up a book with notes listed about our party, read in front of us, then congratulated us. Not exactly the service level we were expecting. We considered leaving at that point but decided to stick it out and ordered the basic sparkling wine flight and red wine flight. Gabriel brought the first four wines out then took another 10 minutes to bring out the remaining four. While he explained the wines to us, he was a bit soft spoken to hear. Also at this point, surrounding tables to us left who were enjoying food and birds began sweeping in to eat the remains. It was interesting that glasses were taken away as soon as someone saw you take your last sip but the food plates were not. We finished our wines which weren't terrible and waited again for Gabriel to revisit our table as we hadn't seen him since the wines were poured. I asked to speak to the manager on site to explain some of the not-so-great things we experienced sadly. When Erick came out, we had a great dialogue on why some of the events took place as they did which was great for understanding. My overall disappointment fell in the way Domaine Carneros displays itself in a grand way online then falls short in person. The hospitality was strongly lacking which is due to their high volume of guests (come assuming you will just be another number). Lastly, the note that this is now more of an "instagrammable experience" and some guests come just to take photos. It's sad to hear a winery experience isn't about the wine anymore. They are trying to get to a point where things can feel more intimate to guests but simply haven't found the answer yet.

Yelp
Made it out to Napa for an afternoon of wine tasting at Domaine Carneros! This place was listed on an online blog post about affordable wine tasting options in the Napa area, so we decided to check it out. We came as a party of five with one of us being the designated driver. Everyone was required to present their ID upon checking in for our reservation and entering the estate. We decided to get both the Red Wine Sampler (4/5, $45) and Sparking Chateau Tasting (4.5/5, $55). I'm personally more of a fan of white wine, so I preferred the sparkling chateau but the red wines were enjoyable as well. We also got the Cheese and Charcuterie sampler which was just okay ($45, 3/5, would not get again). We were seated indoors by the fire, which made for a warm, cozy ambiance, but there's also seating outdoors where you can overlook the vineyards. Our server was friendly and accommodating with explaining all the different wines. He even offered to let us see him sabrage champagne with a saber knife, which was really cool. Overall the experience was really enjoyable, would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Domaine Carneros, take a piece of my heart! First and foremost, I love bubbly and one of my favorite sparkling wines comes from Domaine Carneros. For my birthday a group of friends and I went wine tasting and this was our first stop. If you haven't been to this location yet, it's such a beauty! I believe you have to make reservations ahead of time because this is a more popular spot and destination for tourists/locals alike located in Napa. There's a gift store, indoor tasting within the stunning chateau, and outdoor tasting overlooking the vineyards. We ordered charcuterie & array of cheeses, but they also offer smoked salmon, caviar, and vegan cheese on their menu. If you check their website, you can also view tasting experiences and tours you can book like "The Ultimate Caviar Experience". My personal favorite varietal is the 2020 Brut Rosé, huge fan! All in all, treat yourself and book an outdoor tasting here - experience all that chateau has to offer. A daily toast quote from their website reads, "In victory you deserve it, in defeat you need it" and that is the perfect way to conclude this review!

Yelp
Love the beautifully landscaped garden. The welcoming atmosphere as you walk in. We came in a group with aunties and sisters and had a perfect seating with a beautiful outdoor view that you can see. We tried the sparkling wine tasting and some charcuterie to go with it. The service was great and the wines are definitely worth it. Definitely will come back again.

Yelp
We came in as a party of 5 on a Saturday at 12pm during memorial day weekend. We got checked in fast and got seated outside. The service is very nice, and will help you on what tastings to choose. We ended up getting the sparkling wine sampler and a meet and cheese plate. It was both plenty of drinks and food. They explain each drink of the flavor nodes and what it pairs well with. There is a very scenic outlook on the balcony, and the chateau overall is beautiful. I would recommend coming here if you are visiting napa. The total came around $345 total for 5 people. Quick notes: -Reservations are required for tastings -There is a big parking lot available for free -There is an added 18% service fee

Yelp
We loved the tasting at Domaine Carneros, and the food pairings were great as well. We opted for the caviar tasting, as well as the meat and cheese plate. Our server was so friendly and the place is absolutely beautiful. We definitely recommend making a reservation.

Yelp
I really wanted to check this winery out and since I have been so into sparkling wines lately, I decided to pull the trigger and become a member before tasting. It did not disappoint! From the support I got with reservations and their customer service reply, they have been so helpful and friendly. During my first visit, since it was on a weekend, we were seated at the members only tasting area. As a member, you get to choose between a sparkling or still red tasting. Hubby got the still red tasting and the rest of us in the group got the sparkling tasting. You also get to have a total of 4 free tasting total for every visit which is a plus! I love both their reds (Pinot Noir) and sparkling wines! Our server was amazing and made us try other sparkling wines as well before we purchased. They also had small bites that you can order and if you are a member, you also get discounted pricing on these. We tried their Cheese & Charcuterie selection, smoked sturgeon pate, and the caviar. Yummy! A perfect match with the drinks we had. Beautiful building and ambiance as you enjoy your tastings with family and friends!

Yelp
Over the 4th of July weekend a friend and I made reservations for 1pm outdoor seating. We were a little early but checked in without issue. However, it took half an hour to be seated for our reservation. We checked in a few times and were told just one table was ahead of us but we watched about four tables be seated. It would have been great to be offered a glass of something while we waited, but we weren't and there was no apology for the wait. The staff at check in seemed to be a bit overwhelmed and not prepared to seat parties. Perhaps they overbooked but it also seems a better system needs to be in place to handle guests. That being said, the location was stunning and our server Corey was lovely, even recommended a bookstore he was familiar with for us to check out during our Napa visit. I don't make it to Napa often but not sure I would revisit as there as so many places I have yet to try.

Yelp
Wooooof I was blown away The service was punctual, quick, helpful, and responsive. This isn't even the alcohol talking, but the drinks were tasty and I was satisfied with the food. The place is rather massive, and being placed at the right table is pretty important as the back is near the dumpsters. Other than that, I have nothing but fond memories. The place is beautiful as a dream. Perfect for dates and birthday parties. I'll be ball

Yelp
Domaine Carneros is a popular Napa vineyard, often a must visit during a trip to wine country. Giving French chateau vibes, its scenic ambiance is the perfect place to sip on sparkling wines while overlooking the vineyard. Service: our server was great, have us history of the vineyard and explained how the grapes are harvested. Price: compared to other vineyards tasting menus, it is on the cheaper end. You can also order additional wine by the glass. Reservations: make sure to book an online reservation in advance. Spots fill up quickly and going last minute might not be an option.

Yelp
If you are looking for a winery, this did not disappoint. I can't compare it to others since this was my first... I popped my cherry, I mean grape! Great service, tasty wine selection. I was taken back by the small menu, but the outdoor seating on a beautfiul day makes it a great place to visit. If you can sneak in a bite, taste the grapes! I have never in my life had a better grape than right off the vine!!! It popped with flavor and the flavor burst was pure and juicy... sooooo heavenly.

Yelp
We visited Domaine Carneros on a Tuesday for a wine tasting. Although we had a reservation, it took a bit of time to be seated. However, the wait was worth it--once seated outside, we were surrounded by breathtaking views. The weather was perfect, the sun was shining, and the overall atmosphere was simply amazing. We chose the Sparkling Wine Sampler, along with a cheese pairing and the truffle golden whitefish caviar. Every selection was delicious, and the wines offered a nice variety of flavors. My favorite was definitely the Brut Rosé! I'd recommend Domaine Carneros to anyone. The grounds are beautiful, and the wine and food selections make for a memorable experience.

Yelp
Domaine Carneros - A Sparkling Must-Visit in Napa Valley Domaine Carneros is a gem in Napa Valley that combines elegance, excellent wine, and breathtaking views. From the moment you arrive, it feels like you've stepped into a French château, with rolling vineyards and grand architecture setting the scene for a perfect day. Parking is readily available, and reservations are easy to make online. I recommend going early to snag one of the best seats--we did just that and were led upstairs to a front-facing window with an incredible view. It was me, my mom, and my dear friend visiting from Brazil, and we were all immediately enchanted by the beauty of the place. The scenery is gorgeous--grapevines as far as the eye can see, with tons of Instagram-worthy photo ops. We ordered a wine tasting flight and snacks, and everything was top-notch. Our server was friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable, guiding us through the selections with a lighthearted touch that made the experience even more enjoyable. Every wine we tried--red, white, and rosé--was excellent. The sparkling wines especially stood out: crisp, vibrant, and full of character. The atmosphere was relaxed yet refined, and we had a truly lovely time soaking it all in. If you're visiting Napa Valley and want a winery that offers incredible wine, stunning views, and a memorable experience, Domaine Carneros is one place you absolutely don't want to miss.

Yelp
Such a beautiful place. I love sparkling wine! So if you enjoy sparkling wine, I'd recommend this place. I wanted to expand my knowledge and wanted to see what kind of food would go well with wine, so if that peaked your interest, then I'd try it. Especially growing up in an Asian household, you'd want to know what pairs well with Asian food. Although in my opinion, the food that they served wasn't really authentic Asian, but it had similarities close enough so it was fine. I actually ended up loving one of their wine and got a bottle of it to take home. It paired well with a banh mi. The service was nice and the staff was pretty attentive. I had a white bow on and they thought I was bride about to get married when in fact I was there for a birthday. They were pretty nice and also gave us a glass of wine as we sat and waited when we arrived. They also gave us another glass in celebration of my birthday too. I had a blast and I pretty much had memories that would last me a lifetime here. Also they have a little store front if you wanted to buy stuff. From cookies, crackers and chocolate to books and jams. They had a lot of things here. If your have a bridal party or a little get got her with the girls and LOVE sparkling wine, come here. Also the stairs are a bit of a workout.
