Domaine Huet - L'Échansonne

Had a great visit to Huet last week. They have a dedicated and professional tasting room where there is always some present, so you can always visit (during opening hours). And the wines are excellent! We had the privilege to get a private tour of the cellars and tasting by Sarah, the owner. What a welcoming and kind personality! Proud of her winery (rightfully so) and can talk passionately about Huet and her wines. Thank you Sarah for a wonderful experience (also on behalf of my wife and son)!

Huey easily the best wine in Vouvray and the tasting is free. Christof was the perfect host and told stories of the winery and poured 5 wines for us. We got a brief tour of the cellars and were delighted.

My experience at Domaine Hue was thoroughly enjoyable. I found their wine to be quite sophisticated and of excellent quality in comparison to other Vouvray wines I have tried. The tasting was also a highlight, as the staff member provided a detailed explanation of their winemaking process and gave us a tour of the caves. While I personally found their premium moelleux to be a bit too sweet for my personal taste, I believe it would pair wonderfully with blue cheese. On the other hand, I absolutely loved their demi-sec and ended up purchasing several bottles to take home. Overall, I would highly recommend visiting this winery when exploring the Vouvray region. One of the *very* best producers in the Vouvray. They are (as I was told by the experts) the one vineyard that is shown if you google Vouvray (I haven't tried it, but it is supposed to be their Clos du Bourg). It is a delightful (and organic) winery that will deliver the very essence of Vouvray to you! It also boasts one of the slickest tasting rooms. Pictured is my niece tasting her first Vouvray Moelleux of her birth year... Well worth a visit!

We contacted the Domaine by e-mail and arranged a date and time to visit for a tasting. The tasting was excellent, we weren't rushed and were given a detailed description of each wine with plenty of time to ask questions.

Wonderful tasting room. We had 2 people helping us near closing but weren’t rushed. We got to taste the full menu and also got a tour of the cave. It was a nice break after walking through Châteaus all day. We ended up with a bottle of their sparkling brut which is dryer then the rest of their sweet selection.

Had a lovely time tasting some Domaine Huet wines and chatting with the crew. Overall had a great visit and would totally return again

We experienced Domaine Huet’s open house and, as expected, the quality of their wines did not disappoint. We got to speak with one of the owners and their passion for the Domaine’s craft was very apparent. They made available some new vintages and some older ones (in an expanded verticals format) which really showcased the range of their wines. It was a really fun experience.
