"How did it strike you on arrival?Grand is the operative word at this Relais & Châteaux property adjacent to the Pommery champagne house. The building is surrounded by 17 acres of verdant parkland, the best view of which can be had from the La Rotonde bar, a warm space with clear British accents (think: plaid furnishings, dark wood bar), live music, and tall bay windows. A grand staircase takes guests up to one of 20 rooms done up in classic French style. What’s the crowd like?Culinary travelers, largely hailing from Europe or the United states. The good stuff: Tell us about the rooms.I stayed in a Prestige Room that felt designed with a princess-in-training state of mind. The color palette was dominated by yellows and blues, and the furnishings were plush and heavily embroidered. The period-relevant portraits lining the walls, decorative accessories, and the bed with a canopy headboard transported us to another century. The ceilings were sky-high, as were the windows overlooking the park and garden, and the room was spacious—sized more like an apartment. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us?The bed was large, but the mattress worn and extremely firm. Given the royal vibes of the room, it should have been more comfortable. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that worth a mention?A bottle of Champagne was waiting for us upon check-in, and following our lunch, we returned to find beautiful chocolates and marshmallows on the coffee table for our goûter (snack). I loved some of the one-of-a-kind decorative pieces, including statues and clocks. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down.Massive walk-in bathroom with a rainfall shower and a deep bathtub. The bathroom was at the opposite end of the walk-in closet, also a nice feature. Products were Hermès. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word?Free Wi-Fi, but service would cut in and out. Staff: If you could award one a trophy, who gets it, and why?Every single server in the Michelin-starred restaurant that made the experience so memorable. And the bartender at La Rotonde Bar for taking the time to tell us about the bar's history, despite having other clients to serve. Anything stand out about other services and features? It's all about the food. The restaurant has two Michelin stars; there's also a daytime bistro and a wonderful bar worth spending a few hours in. What was most memorable about your stay? It's like experiencing life as a Champagne royal. The period-relevant design is transporting while the food, in the Michelin-starred restaurant is memorable for its modernity. Bottom line: Why are we choosing Domaine Les Crayères? It's a kind of grandiose that is only this appealing in France. The best part: it doesn't require quite as deep a wallet as the same level of accommodation in Paris." - Lindsey Tramuta

We went with friends for my Wife’s birthday and the service was excellent from the moment we arrived until departure. The room we had was lovely with a view across the garden. ||We ate in the restaurant and the only complaint I have is that I should not have had any bread as the food just kept coming and I had to miss the cheese course. ||Absolutely fabulous and we will return.

Outstanding hotel and outstanding staff. We had our dog with us and they opened up to her straight away. Got all our cases out of the car and dealt with everything. The food is brilliant too 10/10.

Domaine Les Crayères is an absolutely magical venue that we had the pleasure of experiencing during a welcome dinner for a destination wedding. This former home of the De Polignac family exudes timeless elegance and charm, making it a perfect setting for such an occasion. The couple’s portraits, taken in their beautifully appointed room and around the stunning grounds, turned out breathtakingly—every corner of this property is picture-perfect. The exceptional service we experienced throughout the evening added to the sense of luxury and warmth. Domaine Les Crayères is more than just an incredible hotel; it’s a piece of history wrapped in beauty, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly for anyone looking for a truly unforgettable experience.

This is truly the experience of what you would expect from the Champagne region. Regal elegance, pristine grounds and rooms, exceptional service, and of course, Champagne. Do not hesitate to enjoy the breakfast before heading out on your Champagne tastings for the day - it is truly decadent and delicious. The bar is the perfect place to end your day, and the beds are incredibly comfortable for a good nights sleep. Above all, the service surrounding this experience is nothing short of exceptional. Don’t hesitate to book and if you can, the junior suite is sublime!

My husband and I stayed for three nights at Domaine Les Crayères and only regretted that we hadn't booked a longer stay! Everything from the atmosphere, the grounds, the delicious food and drinks and most importantly, the people were nothing less than perfect. We were enchanted by the loveliness of the chateau and our beautiful room as well as the extensive gardens and the quietude. We have never been here before now, but we will certainly be coming back. A stay at Domaine Les Crayères is a moment in time not to be forgotten!

My husband and I had a perfect stay at Domaine Les Crayères. The front desk, concierge, chasseurs, and restaurant staff were all kind, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with warm smiles, and they even upgraded us from the Prestige Suite to the Imperial Suite (#16) without us asking. The Imperial Suite was absolute perfection, and I fully intend to replicate my own bedroom to resemble Suite 16. I’ve been fortunate enough to stay in many five-star and Relais & Châteaux hotels, and this one is easily in my top two. At this point, I’d say it’s tied with my favorite, The Inn at Little Washington in the U.S.—which is also a Relais & Châteaux property and a three-Michelin-star restaurant. That place holds a special place in my heart because we got married there, but Les Crayères is truly exceptional in its own right. I highly recommend staying in the Imperial Suite if you can. I especially loved the large balcony terrace and the incredibly comfortable bed. What set this stay apart from other Relais & Châteaux hotels I’ve visited was the outstanding service, with staff who went above and beyond, along with the thoughtful details that made the experience extra special. These included memory foam slippers, a selection of different pillow types, a high-tech toilet, and a turndown service that played classical music in the room as we returned from dinner. The chasseurs took great care of our belongings and even gave us water bottles before our train trip. The concierge was also incredibly helpful in booking Champagne house tours and securing restaurant reservations for us. The dining experience at Les Crayères was just as extraordinary as the accommodations. We had the pleasure of dining at both Le Jardin and Le Parc, each offering a unique and unforgettable culinary experience. Le Jardin impressed us with its relaxed yet refined atmosphere and beautifully executed dishes, showcasing fresh, seasonal ingredients with a contemporary touch. Meanwhile, our meal at Le Parc, the two-Michelin-starred restaurant, was a true highlight. Every course was a work of art, perfectly balanced in flavor and elegantly presented. The level of service in both restaurants was exceptional, making each meal feel special. My only regret is not planning early enough—I initially booked just two nights, and when I tried to extend our stay in the Imperial Suite for another two nights, the hotel was already fully booked. We can’t wait to return and stay in the same room again when the weather is warmer. A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful employees of Les Crayères! Your hospitality made our stay truly relaxing and unforgettable.

We have been coming to this lovely spot for years, going back to the time when it was owned by the Boyers. The changes that have been implemented since then have added another layer of enjoyment to a spot that was already a favorite. The rooms are lovely with many special touches. The welcome glass of champagne sets the tone for a pleasant visit. Food at the Brasserie is excellent and its patio a great place to enjoy an evening. The staff is professional and pleasant and eager to make your time with them memorable. We look forward to visiting again next year!

This is a beautiful hotel located within walking distance of most of Reims sights and attractions as well as many champagne houses. The rooms are elegantly appointed and spacious and the staff is very helpful, friendly and willing to go that extra step to ensure a wonderful stay. ||The Le Parc restaurant is not to be missed and the cocktail lounges are sumptuous and invite you to stay for a long time. ||We have been before and will return.

Yelp
While in Reims, try to stay at this elegant "Domaine Les Crayeres" a chateau hotel set in a magnifique parc We had a gorgeous room , with a huge Terasse and let me tell you , sipping a "coupe" , while looking at the gorgeous parc before diner is a pretty romantic way to start the night! The setting, the friendly but highly stylish staff , the food , it's all top notch. We had just drove from Paris so the first night , we all went to "le Jardin" the indoor and outdoor brasserie restaurant , near the herbs garden , we sat under huge lighted umbrellas, and even though it was full , we had a smooth service , I had the safran mi cuit salmon , a délice...we were with our 2 daughters and husbands, with their 8 and 9 months old babies ,who were in the rooms , but Thanks to Wifi , they could check on their telephone making sure they were Cosy , and sleeping . The 2nd night after a fantastic day of touring some Champagne houses , perfectly organized by les "Crayeres" , we ate at the Gastronomic restaurant lead by the talented chef : Philippe Mille "le Parc " For the first time , and if you are hungry, I would recommend the 12 courses menu , to sample everything on the menu , it 's a unique experience: when they bring you some of the food, (I forgot which dish) in a silver dome , it takes 2 staffers to delivers it to your plate, Ohlala! Let s feel like a Royalty tonight. The sommelier will also recommend the perfect paring wines , they will accommodate you with a classy suggestion , without this ostentatious "air " some French sommelier are known for.. Yes, It's classy , but not "stuffy", You can dress up or not , at your liking , as the ambiance is sophisticate, and relaxing , it is the French hospitality at his best! Honeymooners or family are welcomed and I just wish I lived closer than California , so I could spend more week ends there to unwind and just be spoiled!!

Yelp
We reserved one of the most expensive rooms, on the second floor (French first floor) with a terrace overlooking the sumptuous gardens. The hotel and the staff were spectacular in every way but one: the air-conditioning did not work. Apparently they had an unseasonable cold snap the previous week (late June), and they converted their HVAC system to heat. Their antiquated system had to be manually changed by an outside contractor. It was incredibly hot. We could not enjoy our 1,000 euro per night room during the day nor could we sleep at night. We made the decision to change hotels and requested a refund, but the hotel refused. We had made the mistake to pre- pay for our full stay in advance. The third and last day of our stay they finally got the air-conditioning back on. We left the next morning for Paris and home.

Yelp
This was a phenomenal lunch: the experience even beyond the food was euphoric...I felt like I was a movie star. 3 girlfriends and I grabbed champagne and appetizers in the parlor beforehand that overlooks a perfectly manicured green garden. I spotted women carrying baskets of vibrant hydrangeas and it was an absolutely beautiful view. We transitioned to the dining room for a tasting menu that cost 160€ per person (inclusive of wine pairing) an incredible value for the price. We were told we would have 3 courses off the "chef's tasting" menu, but it felt like it was 6+! We left feeling satiated and beyond satisfied with the service and quality of the food. Our highlights were a lobster ravioli with caviar, raspberry torte dessert, chocolate truffles, and the bread! I could've stayed here all day and would come back to France just to dine here. Big shout out to our professional and fun server, Damien. This is an absolute MUST, don't sleep on this people!

Yelp
Photos don't do the hotel/castle justice as they make it look dated, which it isn't. Great staff, excellent cuisine, and really just a magical setting close to many of the best champagne tours.

Yelp
TOP FIVE MEALS OF MY LIFE. Escape and surrender to a team of hospitality professionals and masters of cuisine with service and food fit for a king. (closed in January) Thanks to Yelp's entry into France, I can finally share my experience of Les Crayeres with my fellow Yelpers. Reims is a day trip from Paris and in the heart of Champagne. Les Crayeres is a fine hotel with a Michelin starred restaurant to boot. Make your reservation for lunch and catch the train from Gare D'Est to Reims. Catch a taxi from the Reims station and be transported to heaven. ACCUEIL AND LOUNGE Upon your arrival at the hotel, you will be shown to the lounge where you may enjoy an aperitif after your journey and otherwise relax before your meal. You are in Reims at the heart of Champagne: order a Kir Royale and you may be escorted quickly and firmly kicked out of the building. Your captain will arrive with the menu and help you to make your selections in dialogue with the kitchen. When ready, the dining room awaits your entrance. Poise, understated elegance, grace, and timing to the second all combine to perfection in service. Real linen tablecloths, rich tapestries, fresh flower cuttings and fine crystal mix with the beautiful view of the grounds and gardens below the chateau. Doesn't get much better than this! AMUSE first arrives a presentation of butter sculpture under glass and atop a slab of white marble. my choice of breads begins with the second (first was in the lounge) of fifteen glasses of Louis Roderer Champagne. -- aspic of lobster, anise and dill creme APPETIZERS My favorite dish in the world is saute of fois gras. I only had to wait one course for it! -- Fois gras de Canard poele Navet a l'Aigre Doux & Copeaux de Noisette Louis Roederer Brut Premier Asparagus soup with a delectable slice of ham. -- Creme d'Aperge Verte Quenelle de Faisselle au Jambon Ibaiona Louis Roederer Blanc de Blancs Millesime 2004 AMUSE -- Baby Lobster tail with roasted potato foam and creme fraiche. FISH John Dory with a lemon glaze sauce, broccoli and baby shrimps -- Dos de Saint Pierre braise au Citron Brocoletti & Crevette Louis Roederer Cristal 2002 MEAT Pigeon with the most delectable reduction I have ever had. The champagne is going toward my sweet tastes with a Rose. -- Pigeon roti a la Broche Chutney de Pomme & Choux Rave carmelise Louis Roederer Rose Millesime 2005 DESSERTS Petit Fours with LR Demi Sec (NOW WE'RE TALKING!) -- Mini Noix de Coco auc Coeurs glaces More Demi Sec Finishing with -- Caramel & Fruits de la Passion Barre croustillante aux Copeaux de Pomme a la Fleur de Sel Louis Roederer Sec Combined with a hotel stay and dinner, I could easily see Les Crayeres as a honeymoon dream vacation. Just be sure to pack your Black Amex. Lunch "twelve-euro-signs".

Yelp
This establishment is remarkable! Beautiful accommodations and lovely, attentive staff! The chef was willing to work with my (horrid and extensive) set of allergens, prepared a fabulous, vegan, safe meal for me, and also accommodated my daughter's vegan/GF needs, so that we could enjoy the four-hour dinner pairing my husband selected. It was a dreamy experience.

Yelp
In my humble experiences of fine French gastronomy - having dined even most of three... and two, one stared restaurants and still going for something new;), so far this place sits on top of all ( in France by the way ;). I have stayed here for three nights and hotel itself was also fabulous, they organized my rather exclusive Champagne houses ( privately ) appointments as well ( coz everyone in that region obviously knows them ) but the restaurant itself of course exceeded my expectation. I liked Non-Asian-infusion, totally elegant and polished French featured caviar and accompanied with four different vintages of Crystal..plus more Champagne ;) Can't possibly go wrong... Service was very professional - Look forward to going back there already. If you ever have a chance to go to Reims please book ahead.

Yelp
I stayed two nights at Les Crayeres in Reims, France in May 2018 on 28/5/2018 and 29/5/2018. It was my 1st time there. I was traveling with A&K and they chose this location. Simply a beautiful Chateau with beautiful grounds. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. Plus, I took photos.

Yelp
Les Crayeres is a Chateau, a hotel and a restaurant located close to the center of Reims right next to Vranken Pommery. Sounds fancy? That it is, but also a pretty good place to stop by for a glass of bubbly. Regardless of the shiny exterior, it is a relaxed and warm environment to sip on your champagne. The mansion is located on the outskirts of Reims center. It took us some time to walk there as other transport options seemed non-existent on a Sunday. Exhausted after our hike, we were shown to the inner yard, the terrace of Le Rotonde Bar. The view was amazing, like from a movie. A beautiful garden, black iron tables and chairs and an international crowd sipping bubbly with posh staff trotting around. All sweaty from the long walk I felt slightly out of place, but nobody seemed to mind, so I focused on the bubbles. The champagne list was not long, however it was interesting. They had the Jaquesson 737 NV as their basic cuvee, a Henriot Rose Millesime 2008 and a few other interesting vintages by the glass. We did not even browse the list for full bottles, but I can imagine it being long. We opted for the first two, Jaquesson and Henriot and sat down to relax on the sunny terrace. The service was spotless and our champagne tasted like a million dollars. All was well! Even though Les Creyeres seems very upscale, the price list was only moderately high. We paid around 14€ per glass, which was acceptable. We also received some complementary snacks to have with our bubbly. I am a sucker for snacks, so I was sold. After we were finished with our glasses we had a look around the beautiful bar and courtyard. We chatted (as if we could afford it) that next time we come to Reims it would be fun to stay here. The restaurant at Les Crayeres, Le Parc has two stars and they also have a Brasserie that has perhaps slightly more humane prices. Now browsing at their webpage I can see that they do some quite moderately prices packages for hotel stay and restaurant, so that could in fact be an option. Now I know what I want for my birthday!

David L.

Yelp
5 star everything this place. It is a small but gorgeous hotel with amazing amenities. We came with our baby and they even supplied us with a crib with sheets! This former chateau is top notch. I strongly suggest coming here to stay and enjoying the brasserie on the property or the restaurant in the main building. The food is excellent and the gastronomic food is a true experience. This place is pricey but worth every penny!

Cindy Y.

Yelp
Everything was great from start to finish in a beautiful chateau. I couldn't ask for anything more. Excellent food/service, beautiful decor and friendly staff. Outstanding dining experience. Must visit while in Reims!

Sean H.

Yelp
The summit of French gastronomy is located in the elegant Chateau Les Crayeres. Chef Didier Elena has had almost a few years under his belt after taking over the three Michelin starred Chef Gerard Boyer and he did not disappoint. The best meal I have come across, the 6 course with wine pairing was steadily increasing in flavor as each plate was dropped off. Luckily my wife was there and she too ordered this tasting menu but with different meals, so it was like having 12 courses. The eggplant gelatin, tomato and mango reduction with bruscetta, ratatouille and risotto and goat cheese, braised pork belly on polenta with breasts of pigeon, seered sea bream and potatoes, veal shortbread, triple chocolate and cherries, and what seemed to be a spinoff of a peach cobbler. Did I mention the wine not to mention the champagne was fantastic? Delocious

Sheeva G.

Yelp
This restaurant is the jewel of Reims, in my opinion. It is absolutely stunning and the tasting menu and wine pairing that they offered were one of a kind. i chose to do an entire Dom Ruinart pairing with my meal, which was fantastic. Unparalleled actually. Each dish was carefully prepared to pair with each sublime champagne vintage. The service was outstanding and the ambiance was just gorgeous. I felt like a princess in my castle lol.

Mike H.

Yelp
What could be better than the Champagne district in France at one of the most elegant food and wine temples in this great country setting. Lunch is very relaxed and the staff is a little more engaging. All the fav french food is on the menu, with seasonal specials. As you would expect, it is expensive, but you knew that walking in. A must is to start with Tattinger Rose, followed by a White Burgundy and naturally a fine Bordeaux. Could life get any better ;) This is a place one dresses...even for lunch.

Alan F.

Yelp
Staying here at the chateau has been a relaxing time with wonderment. Doing the champagne house/bar visits and tastings we finally decided to have a gourmets dinner here. We were stunned at the quality and professionalism of this place. We expected the best but got that and once again better. The wine list is extensive, not expansive, and really focuses on taste/pairing. We chose two wines from the Burgundy region, a 2007 Meursault ( mine rally yet soft white wine) and a 2001 Charmes-Chambertin ( smooth, earthy, mellow red, Grand Cru). The plates may appear small but each having succulent and intense tastes, we were satiated very quickly. We chose the pre-fixed meals and felt over run with plate after plate of best gourmet food since we ate at the French Laundry. There were a few dishes not mentioned on the menu such as a cheese cart. The staff was not only professional and experts in their domaines but friendly and helpful as well. Truly, to get a taste and personal experience of France at its finest, just come here for their dinner. As I mentioned, our high expectations were more then surpassed and we were pleasantly over-whelmed with what we received

Yelp
Are...you...kidding...me? This review is for Le Parc only as we did not stay in the hotel. There were three of us who have been to over 25 Michelin Star spots, including Alinea and Per Se, to name a few. Point is, highly regarded spots. All three of us agree, this was the best dinner we have ever had. It is crazy to all agree on that, but we did. This was recommended to me by a native who lives in Chicago and I could not be happier that we took her advice. This was just outstanding from start to finish and I literally am going to go back to Champagne just to go to dinner here. No, I'm not kidding. The service was amazing and the timing was perfect from course to course. The sommilier did a wonderful job explaining the wines (we did the pairings) and even the bread service was top notch. We opted for the chef's tasting menu (which is not printed as the chef decides what to prepare on the fly) and I would highly recommend. The only request we made was that it include the foie gras and this is an absolute must so I'm glad we requested that. To start, they sit you outside on their gorgeous patio for some bubbles. Yes, please. Everything they have by the glass is excellent and the view is spectacular. It was a lovely evening out as well and we just hung out sipping our bubbles and loving life. As their outdoor treat (thinking like when a bar in the US brings you kettle chips) before you go into the dining room, they bring you a lovely little plate. This is misleading cause it's complex in flavor and really gets you excited about the meal you're about to consume. In the little spoon there was a parmesan foam thing with chives and some other awesomeness in there. It sounds unassuming but it was a fantastic bite. This was accompanied by a perfectly lightly fried prawn. We headed inside and started with the amuse bouche, which was four tiny bites: scallop crudo, fennel mousse, celery root puree, and foie. They were all excellent and really woke up my palate. The appetizer was an asparagus puree, which was great. Next was the foie...oh the foie! If you see my Yelp! reviews you can see I love, LOVE foie gras and get it everywhere. This was hands down the best I've ever had and may be the best bite of food I've ever had anywhere. It was amazing. I'm thinking about it now and drooling. Next was a lobster course, which was pure perfection on a plate. Lovely plating, moist lobster, extremely tasty bisque poured tableside...perfection. Two of us thought the foie was the best dish while one of us thought this was the best and I cannot fault either argument cause they were both amazing. Next came the Iberco pork. Having had Iberco pork before and knowing it is the 'Kobe of pigs', I had high expectations and it did not disappoint. They carve it tableside and add some veggies to it. The service here really stood out. Now I'm about to burst but next came the cheese plate. Finally, it was a strawberry dessert that seemed so simple and elegant but carried a ton of flavor. Typically at dinners like this I can find flaws or some courses I did not care for but literally every single thing here was top notch and pretty much perfect. The wine pairings were phenomenal as well. The best one we thought was the Sauveniere paired with the foie. The wine itself was probably the best we had in France but the pairing was wonderful as well. All of the wines paired very nicely. Literally there was not one flaw in the entire meal. The plating was beautiful, the flavors were outstanding, and the service was impeccable. I cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
It was absolutely beautiful, romantic and delicious. We stayed at Chateau Les Crayeres 2 nights in June, and it was ABSOLUTELY fantastic in every way. Our room was #26 I believe, the very left side of the building on the top floor facing to the beautiful garden. The room was huge, and the view from the room was spectacular. Bathroom was spacious and beautiful. It was perfect to enjoy Champaign in the bathtub. About 30 mins after we arrived in the room, a gentleman of the hotel showed up with a smile on his face to offer a glass of Champaign! What a nice touch. The day we arrived, there was coincidentally a concert in their garden as a part of French music festival in Reims. (I love live music.) We enjoyed watching people preparing the stage from the room and went down to listen to music when the rain stopped. It was such a treat. The room has thick curtains for all windows. So, the bedroom became completely black when we were sleeping, which helped us to sleep in. During our stay, we tried both restaurants in the hotel: a Michelin Two Starred restaurant "Le Parc" and a casual restaurant "Le Jardin". I completely enjoyed both experiences. I liked the bar too. I can't find anything to complain. Les Crayeres was beyond my expectation.

Yelp
We came in to look at the hotel and make a dinner reservation and were treated very rudely by the staff. Although it had been recommended by a friend for the good food we refused to stay after being treated so unkindly.

Yelp
French gastronomy at its finest. Unforgettable- gorgeous decor, excellent service and the food was without doubt impressive. Need to come back!!
