Shout out to scott made it amazing experience. Tried many great wines and one of the few tasting lounges that had a selection of wines from burgundy.

I had a disappointing experience at Domaine Serene Wine Lounge Portland. I walked in around 8:15pm with my 90-year-old grandmother and asked if any tables were available. We were told the bar top was reserved (clearly marked), but the bartender checked with the waitress and seated us at an open table. About 10 minutes later, while enjoying the live music, a man approached saying the table was reserved—though it had no sign like the others. I explained that his staff had seated us, and he said they were “catching up” and the table was indeed reserved. We were then told we’d need to wait 15 minutes for another table—despite the place closing at 9pm. The staff wasn’t outright rude, but there was no accountability, no apology, and no effort to accommodate us—especially disappointing considering my elderly grandmother. We left feeling unwelcome and ostracized. I couldn’t help but notice we were the only people of color there, and the whole interaction left us feeling targeted. Management needs serious improvement in communication and guest experience. Unfortunately, it was a very poor and disheartening visit.

Google
It was an OK vineyard. I didn’t enjoy the wines but enjoyed the host. They aren’t very personal and have absolutely no qualms about reminding you that you’re not a member, which is off putting - but I digress. It definitely wouldn’t be a place where I went out of my way to visit and I’ll more than likely never be back 🤷🏾‍♀️ $50 tasting and it’s waived if you spend $100 on wine only 👎🏾

The staff in the lounge were incredible, very knowledgeable about the wine and definitely “my people”. The wine was lovely and the live music was a sweet surprise!

Google
The location is very cozy and their love music makes it a cherry 🍒 on top. I loved every moment I spent here, the first time I tried their Sparkling flight then their single vineyard tasting. Their wines are elegant and exceptionally made....highly recommend. Rating the place 4 stars simply because there was no sommelier at the wine tasting. The person who served me the wines was a waitress so she did not give me the basic info I expected from a wine tasting like terrain of the land where the grapes were from, the climate, soil, oak process (length and what types) etc.

Google
Didn't eat here. Great wine bar and fantastic service. The tastings are a little pricey. I'd been here before and wanted to come again. They serve a lot of their burgundy wines here as well. Allows you to get a nice feel of French burgundy wines. Downside is the bottle pricing. Their burgundy wines are very pricey.

Jack and Amir were the most lovely duo for hosting. My friend and I came in this afternoon unannounced as she was celebrating the purchase of her wedding dress. They were very hospitable and really educated about the wine that we were tasting. Our experience was so fun and so very approachable. these two really have a good thing going on at this location and we definitely will return. Thank you so much for making us feel special and welcoming us in this afternoon.

Google
For starters apparently you need a reservation in order for the staff to acknowledge you. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon and was told it would be a 20 minute wait to be served as they were short staffed. We agreed to wait as we simply wanted a couple glasses of vino and a cheese plate. Fast forward to 35 minutes later where we still were not acknowledged, whilst 3 other tables were served (who presumably had reservations). No glasses of water were offered or a simple, sorry we will be right over. Nearing the 35 minute mark two tables were dealt with on either side of us and the server wouldn’t even make eye contact with us. Maybe it was the dress & sneaker attire we had on that made them assume we wouldn’t spend much, guess he didn’t see the 2.8 ct rock on my hand. At this point I was less angry about wasting this time and more happy we didn’t support this pretentious establishment. Too bad it looked cute in there! Photo credit to Jake’s Bar & grill a few doors down who has incredibly fast and friendly service that saved the mood!

Yelp
Ariana was an amazing wine educator. she guided us through our tasting and gave amazing suggestions based off our preference. great atmosphere with music and a relaxing but fun vibe.
google avatar

Giovanni T.

Yelp
There aren't enough words to describe how much Ariana made this trip the best ever. From the moment we sat down, to the last sip, she took us on a journey of wine and experiences....not just through OR, but through France as well. My partner and I constantly talk about how dinner and wine have begun to lose the value of an experimental moment and not just focus on taste. But this was a a great reminder on what TRUE service is. We both travel across the world frequently and often to some of the highest rated wineries, restaurants, etc. But this trip here goes to show you, some of the best experiences are still yet to be discovered.

Yelp
While enjoying our evening we headed across the street to enjoy a glass of wine. The atmosphere was relaxing as we enjoyed a band playing live music. The hostess service was very good she explained the history and provided an explanation of the flight glasses we decided to enjoy. It was perfect for our night cap. Affordable prices! great glass of Oregon Chardonnay.

Yelp
So glad I found this spot! The wines are amazing, the staff is super knowledgeable and the atmosphere is elegant (even during the day).
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
Another beautiful experience in an absolutely perfect wine lounge. Thank you, Jess and Ameer for making this a brilliant evening.
google avatar

Ciara M.

Yelp
My new absolute favorite place in Portland. Jess did an amazing job educating us during our Sommelier Flight. It has helped me understand what I actually like in a wine as I had the most basic understanding before this. The live music set the mood to relax while we sipped. If we lived in PDX I would have signed up for the wine club on the spot. Definitely stop in for an experience!
google avatar

Michelle N.

Yelp
I wish I could give it zero stars. We went, we were ignored and we left. We also went back, and the server who had completely ignored us less than an hour previously was actually seated with a group of women and he didn't even bother to get up when we entered and then exited again due to lack of service, acknowledgment, etc. This guy obviously didn't care at all about customer service or representing a brand. I was so excited to take my daughter and son-in-law to a place we visited the night we were engaged, but it was awful this time. We won't be back. We did fortunately end up having a fantastic time at Jake's!

Yelp
Absolutely love how they have a wine lounge in Downtown Portland, so you don't have to drive all the way down to Lake Oswego or Dayton to enjoy their wine. The lounge is quite spacious with plenty of space for a group or an intimate pairing. I wish they had a full menu here but the lounge only offers some small bites--similar to the winery in Dayton--to enjoy with your wine (which is amazing, of course). The staff is always a delight to talk to and so kind. Highly recommend to check this spot out!

Yelp
Wow what an amazing vibe from staff decor and overall amazing wine!!! Special notes with musics is a must!!!!! Beautiful vocalist dropping electric guitar music sounds from the soul!!!
google avatar

Steph S.

Yelp
EVERYTHING is A1 FANTASTIC here!!! So relaxing and top notch!! The Prestige flight, the oysters, the cheeses, and the bomb bread with French butter!! I would come back again and again

Yelp
Amazing ambiance, very attentive staff and great wine. This was a lovely experience.

Yelp
This was our first time experiencing Domaine Serene. It had been on my list for a while, but Covid delayed coming here. I like their location and seating area. We ordered the Estate and Sparkling flights. Our favorite was the Grand Cheval. It's probably the only wine I tried of the 9 that I would order again. Their Pinot Noir fell below my expectations. I think you can find equally good Pinot for half the price or pay a little more for Antica Terra and get a much better wine. To be fair, I didn't try their highest end bottles. Maybe those could compete with my favorite Oregon Pinots. I plan on visiting their estate and their LO location. Seems like the LO location has a more expansive food menu that I've heard is very good.

Yelp
Excellent Date night. Hospitality is top notch from the moment you cross the door. Staff is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The tasting was customized and couldn't had been better. Wine is excellent. The ambience is perfect for a date night or a solo glass wine at the bar, Background music was a nice surprise. Location is great, with parking options around the block. Definitely coming back!
google avatar

Yasaman E.

Yelp
So happy the downtown location reopened. They have oysters and small bites but best of all live music from 7-9 on Friday and Saturday's. Some of the best wine Oregon has to offer.

Robert K.

Yelp
Simply put if you love great wine, great service, and an amazing vibe, this is the place to find it!!
google avatar

Kody I.

Yelp
Great place to bring wine lovers or your significant other. Staff was very friendly and prompt to answer any questions you may have regarding their selection of wine. I do not believe kids are allowed and would not bring them if they were. Classy establishment!

David S.

Yelp
Amazing is the only way to describe the experience we had at Domaine Serene! Based on our taste preferences, Amir suggested the Sommelier Flight. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Easily some of the finest wine we've ever tasted. Amir was the best! He answered all of our questions and thoughtfully selected incredible wines from their wineries in Oregon and France.

Ethan D.

Yelp
What an ambiance! I was there Saturday night with a cool music band. Very reasonable price for award winning wines. You will love server's bowtie.

Misti W.

Yelp
Fantastic experience with Amir! Highly recommend! Great service, amazing wine and the people watching never fails to please

Yelp
Scott was wonderful! From service, smile, customer engagement, to bottle recommendations. I would highly recommend going into this location if you're downtown. There is a winery about an hour away but the downtown vibe and fanciness of the location is a must see. Street parking. Bathrooms located up the stairs inside the hotel. (Clean!) Variety of seating (counter, table, sofa or lounge chairs) Street views but very private. Ask for Scott from Florida!

Yelp
I guess it's been a few years since I've done wine tasting at a place in which I was not a member-- the pours were tiny. My friend and I both did the Estate Flight. We had walked by and were drawn in by the beautiful decor. It's a very classy, beautiful space for sure. Feels like we primarily paid a premium for that. It doesn't help that I've never preferred Chardonnay or Pinot Noir. Glad I did a tasting rather than got the wine by the glass-- it was pretty expensive per glass. The wines were fine but I didn't love any of them. We got the bread to snack on during the tasting and I thought the bread and butter were really good. They had live music and though the musicians were very good, it was very loud as a result in the space. The musicians were also situated right in the middle, bisecting the space and making it so that you have to awkwardly walk close to and in front of the musicians to get from one end of the lounge to the other. We were struck as soon as we got in by how loud it was with the music such that it's basically impossible to hold a conversation unless you sit as far away as possible. When the musicians took a break, they played recorded music which was still pretty loud. I guess I expected a quieter atmosphere which would be more conducive for chatting for a wine lounge. The service was nice and I didn't really have an issue until the end. We had gotten sparkling water which was bottled. There wasn't any indication that the sparkling water was not complementary, though I recognize that's not always explained and we could have asked. However, they brought a second bottle without our asking so that was kinda annoying since we were given something that we hadn't ordered. When the server was closing us out, I told her that I was sending back the second bottle of sparkling water as it wasn't opened. She seemed to indicate that she heard me, and processed my payment on an ipad. I'm certain she didn't remove the second bottle from the check though I couldn't see that for sure because of the payment popup window obscuring part of the itemized check. But unless they are charging $9 per bottle of San Pelligrino, which would be an outrage in itself, I think we were charged for the second unasked-for bottle.

Yelp
This was a cozy place to stop by after our walk through the city. The service here is impeccable and the food and chocolate pairing is so scrumptious. We would love to stay at the hotel attached to this place on our next visit so we we can just lounge and do another tasting within reach of the room bed!
google avatar

Megan R.

Yelp
This wine bar is a perfect spot for a mid afternoon glass of wine or intimate date night. The wine is great and they have a lovely selection of oysters. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Mandy N.

Yelp
Beautiful tasting room with delicious wines. Kinda of expensive but a cool place to hang out in the middle of the city.
google avatar

Patti K.

Yelp
Great live music, intimate and classy. They are located in the Sentinel hotel which seems very upper class. Decor is intimate, probably 6 tables total with some couches as well. Service is prompt and friendly. Wines are good, but extremely pricey. I think the flights might be a better deal, but really $28 for a glass of wine? No. Beer is $7 but it's for a glass, not a pint. Food is small bites, $18 for 3 oysters for example. Overall the place is OK and great service, but I can't get over the prices for a glass of wine.
google avatar

Mari K.

Yelp
Atmosphere: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Wine: 8/10 Food options: 8/10 Prices: 6/10 Definitely stop in if you're staying at the hotel, or in the area and looking for a place that lives up to its name. The wines are pretty good, both the oregon-made and french wines (they also have a winery there). I love the ambience, and the comfy chairs setup conversation-style. I enjoyed the oysters and charcuterie, and would recommend to a friend. I do wish there was some sort of happy hour special, less expensive tasting flight, etc. The prices are high for what it is.. but it was my birthday weekend, so what the heck.
google avatar

Charlie T.

Yelp
Recently went here as it is connected to the Sentinel Hotel. Its definitely a more calmer and relaxing atmosphere than Jacknife, which is on the other side. They had plenty of wines by bottles or by the glass. The staff there are super friendly and also knowledgeable. Had the Estate Flight that included the rose and pinot noir's, and they were excellent. I would definitely come here again.
google avatar

Yelp
A handsome man approached us after we sat for a few minutes. This place is there for those who want to relax and enjoy their wine over a romantic date or catching up with girlfriends. There was a live musician playing music with soft vocalsb keeping the chill vibe. After leaving the music began to play over some speakers. Not too loud over the speakers where you could hear the music whether it's a full house or whether it is not too busy. The server, Justin was incredibly knowledgable in where the wine came from and how it is grown. Also what certain things ment on the menu. Whom said he has ONLY worked here 3 days!?! What an excellent guy to only be here so many days and be so knowledged! We have been sitting here for about 2 hours. At almost 8 they dimmed the lights and set lit candles at the tables (not missing ours) getting it ready for the eventing crowd!
google avatar

Shannon H.

Yelp
I have had the opportunity to dine while visiting friends staying at the Sentinel and I won't be back. Consider spending your money elsewhere as there are many options nearby that offer a superior experience. I would suggest Abigail Hall or Bullard for better service, better FOOD (Top Chef top contestant and trained by a Portland premier chef) and even the wine options shine in comparison. SKIP THIS FOR SURE.
google avatar

Kelsey R.

Yelp
Best Wine Lounge/Bar in town! Can't beat the hospitality and the wines! They have an oyster bar, charcuterie and small plates at well! Felipe and his team are always welcoming and so fantastic. I go often by myself and sit at the bar. They have an expansive selection of wines that they don't have normally have available to taste elsewhere. Especially the Burgundy wines. Do a tasting or have a glass, you won't be disappointed! Can't wait for the one to open in Lake Oswego!

B C.

Yelp
Liars selling overpriced swill through a bogus rewards program. They lie to sell you on buying six bottles of wine. Then when you find out, they refuse to cancel membership without charging a ridiculous $100 cancellation fee.
google avatar

Maria I.

Yelp
A very nice and classy lounge that would be good for date night or night out with friends. They offer wine flights or by the glass. They also have a food menu which had a good options to nibble on while sipping on some delicious wine. The charcuterie was elegantly presented and absolutely tasty. Service was superb! Even arriving at last call, we were not rushed one bit by any staff. Staff was very knowledgeable and explained the origins of each wine. Very nice experience and highly recommend for anyone who is looking for a classy, sophisticated lounge in Portland.

Yelp
Finally had a chance to visit Domaine Serene Wine Lounge this Sunday. They had Seda playing live that late afternoon. The hospitality and attention provided by Felipe Cantu, Wine Lounge Manager, was exceptional. He frequented tables and made sure everyone was having a great time. Nicholas waited our table, he was attentive and precise. Like Felipe, he checked on us frequently and made sure we have everything we need. With great service and awesome wines by Domaine Serene, along with phenomenal music by Seda, the evening couldn't get any better. Our experience with Domaine Serene Wine Lounge was exceptional and exhilarating. We truly appreciate the relaxed feel of the lounge and superb people that make Domaine Serene Wine Lounge stand out.

Lily S.

Yelp
I'm so glad we went there! This place is super chilled and wine and food was amazing!!! Definitely will be going back!
google avatar

Rick M.

Yelp
Snooty, uptight, pretentious atmosphere. Wine kinda crap. Music taste, about the same
google avatar

Clare H.

Yelp
Great spot, lots of amazing wine options, excellent live music which is what caught our attention while passing by in the first place. Unfortunately, got totally taken advantage of by the bartender when getting a drink for the musician. No need to get into the details but he essentially poured a half glass of wine (assuming it was what the musician had been served before, for free) and later in the night, dropped a check by for an absurd amount of money and disappeared. Unfortunately put a bad taste in my mouth for a place that was otherwise a delight.
google avatar

Laura R.

Yelp
Excellent service all around-- and some of our favorite wines-- made this a great spot for us to relax in the evening (conveniently located in the same building as our hotel, the Sentinel - in fact, it was one of the reasons we decided to stay there). In addition to the lovely wines, they also provide a small selection of cheese for snacking. While there, the manager was kind enough to recommend the 45th Parallel tasting at their vineyard, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip. We will definitely be back the next time we are in town.
google avatar

Erick I.

Yelp
My wife and I have visited the domain serene lounge and the domain serene winery. Both establishments are absolutely amazing. They provide a first class experience while your pallet explores the Willamette Valley. They have excellent oysters on the half shell and Serano ham and an accompaniment of other small bites! Would recommend this place to friends and family.
google avatar

Missy W.

Yelp
Domaine Serene is wonderful! A lovely place to relax and have a few glasses of wine. The atmosphere is relaxed, but sophisticated and the menu offers just enough.
google avatar

Rita M.

Yelp
Love the ambiance here! Service was also very helpful. Just stopped in after having walked by earlier in the day. Tried the Estate Flight was was such a joy! Would love to return when there is live music. The space began to get busy around 7 as we were leaving. Overall a fun spot to enjoy Oregon wines in a lovely atmosphere.
google avatar

Jocelyn M.

Yelp
Love it here! Beautiful date night spot, great wines, friendly and knowledgeable service. They even offered to take my coat when I walked in. So nice to have a wine tasting experience without the drive out to The Valley. You can also rent this space out for events!
google avatar

Ben V.

Yelp
had a lovely tasting experience at Domaine Serene. Nick was extremely knoweledgeable about wine from all over the world and we learned a lot about the Domaine Serene and pinot noir in general. The wine was fantastic as well. There were definitely some standouts, but thoroughly enjoyed the space, the conversation and the vino. Would be back and will look for the label going forward.
google avatar

Carolyn J.

Yelp
Fabulous wines and great ambience. Probably one of the better Pinot Noir I have tasted. The gentleman working the bar were fantastic and quite knowledgeable of their wines. I'll make sure to be back!!
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
Saw this while grabbing some food at the food carts. Couldn't have been more happy to see this opening. Went last night before the Timbers game and was not disappointed. If you've been to their vineyard and tasting room, this wine lounge does not disappoint. Had the a flight and cheese board, it was 10/10. Angus is incredibly knowledgeable and answered any and all questions, while giving us history and knowledge about each glass and pairing. The atmosphere is fantastic and very relaxed. I will be back many times in the near future and am excited to get back out to Dundee to their vineyard. Hopefully one day make it to the newly purchased French vineyard as well. You need to go and enjoy this delightful place in do
google avatar

Shalu B.

Yelp
Great wine, service was perfection at the wine bar, and don't skip on the charcuterie!
google avatar

Gus B.

Yelp
I love the wines and we're members of the wine Perhaps the best Burgundian Wines in the World. However sadly when my wife and I walked in last night around 9:30 with maybe 8-10 people in the place, I couldn't get anyone to acknowledge us. After 10 minutes, (yes that's how much the wines are worth the wait), we left. There was a bartender who saw us and two people roaming in and out of the side door moving glasses around. But after a quick glance at us, it appeared they all had that, "I want to go home" look in their eyes. Now the fine folks at the winery are very friendly and most accommodating. Always a greeting and a warm smile when you arrive. I'm quite sure the folks at the lounge need some additional customer service training. A "Hello Welcome, be with you shortly" goes a long way. Ok look...the place is new...so we're gonna give em another chance. At the winery your wines and your people are never pretentious, don't blow the mission at your lounge. Every customer that walks through those doors is a future ambassador and a future club member. Treat em that way...and you'll reflect the vision of your founders.

Rosa T.

Yelp
Friendly service, good atmosphere, good wine, good food. Professional wine glasses. Highly recommend for people don't have time to go visit the winery.

Robin B.

Yelp
After a great happy hour with friends at Ruth's Chris, went to Domaine Serene for wine and entertainment on a Sunday night. We had superb service and enjoyed some amazing entertainers! I will definitely return. The wine was so good, but the overall experience was perfect.

jennifer g.

Yelp
Had a singer the night we were there (Saturday)... maybe a blues or jazz style? Little bit of an older crowd and chill so be aware of that if you're wanting a younger, more lively vibe. They're a more upscale wine bar, so prices align with that. You will spend a good amount for a glass of your choosing, but the quality of the wine or champagne is in line for what you're drinking. Had a $20 glass of champagne that was absolutely amazing - worth it. Service was good, they were nice, and knowledgeable about wine.

Kim W.

Yelp
I really liked this place. I did a flight of wines and a cheese board. I liked the atmosphere here for happy hour or a date. The wines and the cheeses were all really good.
