Santorini's Best Wineries, Wine Bars, and Restaurants

"One of Santorini’s best-known wineries abroad, Domaine Sigalas fills quickly in high season so I book early for lunch amid the vines; the classic white-and-blue label may be familiar, but salty, citrusy Assyrtiko always tastes different at the source. I pair a flight, glass, or bottle with Santorini salad, fish carpaccio, and fava purée under smoked eel." - Lauren Mowery

We had a lovely experience at Domaine Sigalas. The sommelier was knowledgeable and engaging, sharing interesting details about each wine and the unique Santorini terroir We chose Wine Flight II, which offered an excellent variety — three whites, one red, and one dessert wine — all distinct and well balanced The complimentary cheese plate was a thoughtful touch and paired beautifully with the tasting. And of course, the resident cat added extra charm to the afternoon

What a beautiful winery with incredible wines. We came as a detour while doing the Fira to Oia hike and decided to do the a la carte menu and a wine tasting. Even though we showed up as a (sweaty) walk in, a lovely staff member sat and explained each wine to us upon every pour. She was so knowledgeable and kind, and taught us about how Assyrtiko wines are grown and produced on the island in a unique and challenging (and changing) climate. The cheese platter was huge and delicious, and the baklava with ice cream was unbelievable. We brought a bottle with us to the next island we visited. Bonus was the adorable winery cat, Liza, who sat with us and tried to steal our cheese.

A wonderful wine tasting experience. We opted for the a la carte menu and did a wine flight as we had already eaten, but we were watching others doing the tasting & food pairing menu which looked incredible. The setting is gorgeous in the middle of the vineyards with a view of the sunset. The tasting was perfect - they told us about each wine in detail when it was served. The wines themselves we’re all amazing.

We did the premium food + wine tasting; Vikki (sp?) was a wonderful host, impressively handling the nuances of wine vocabulary in English. I’m not crazy about Greek food and found the dishes unexpectedly delicious, especially when paired with the wine. Perfect way to get away from the tourist trappings of Oia. Thank you, team!

My husband and I booked the Wine and Food experience and absolutely loved it!! If you are a white wine fan stopping here is an absolute must. The woman who led the experience was very friendly and knowledgable. Learning about the different grapes, history, and processes on how the wine is made in Santorini was fascinating. Not to mention every single wine and food pairing we ate we enjoyed. Sooo delicious. Thank you again!!

We came in for a wine tasting and lunch. We enjoyed most of the wines but didn't leave with any bottles. The Vinsanto is probably one of the best we've had.. Lighter than usual but very interesting and very tasty. Speaking of tasty... The food! We ordered the ceviche and the dolmadakia for starter and both were very good. For main we shared a deconstructed moussaka made with beef cheeks..AMAZING. Staff were friendly and informative and the local cat very accommodating to a pet or two. Overall a great experience and will definitely come back. 👍👍

In a beautiful garden we had the opportunity to taste different flavours both in wine and food. Loved the white, Santorini. Do try the ceviche which was my favourite dish of the trip. The staff was extra lovely as well.

The Winery is worth a visit, even if you're not all about white wine. While they're known for their Santorini whites, which are decent and well-made the overall experience is what makes it worthwhile. Even though white wine isn't my go-to, I found a few that were interesting enough to enjoy, and the reds were a pleasant surprise.
