Domberger Brot-Werk - Moabit

Great cinnamon rolls and almond croissants (best so far) . The butter cake is not my thing. Their beutebrot is a bestseller , try if you like sourdough .Card payment accepted.

As soon as you enter this bakery your nose will be filled with an incredible smell of freshly baked bread. Bakers work directly in front of the clients the dough of a great variety of breads and they welcome you with a big smile and an happy “guten morgen!”. The cinnamon roll I ordered had a soft and comfy interior and a delicious, caramelized crust on top. The cinnamon and the humid part in the interior of the bun added stratification and sweetness to the roll. I also took some bretzel and a loaf of bread to take away. The perfect acidity of the bread makes you salivating and increases a lot the pleasure in eating the dough, which presented a perfect crust and a morbid, warm and nice alveolar structure in the interior.

„Armosphere“? well its a bakery with flour in the air. Literally a bad atmosphere. Oh but the people at Domberger? Wonderful! The bread? Wonderful! The Brezeln? Wonderful!

The place is nice and they have good cinnamon rolls on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The missing star is because the other cakes I tried, are pretty plain. Especially the one with the vanilla sauce was basically a tasteless bread with a tasteless sauce. The prices are a bit above average, especially for this area in Berlin. I haven't tried their bread yet but I'll give it a shot in the future and I hope to remain impressed enough to give it the missing star.

Tried the butter cake here. Was pretty good. The lady serving it spoke English and was very warm and friendly and explained the different kinds of bread and their differences. Always a plus to have such people to help expats with their bread shopping. Also was informed that 10 am is when their cakes are super fresh from their oven. So do visit the bakery at that time for super fresh cakes

That’s one of the best bakeries I have ever visited. The smell of fresh baked goods hits you from the first step. They have a huge variety of delicious breads. I wanted something sweet so I got the butter-sugar cake and for some reason I got a croissant 🥐 for free. I have never eaten such an interesting solid croissant! The cake was super light and delicious. Last but not least the staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful!

The whole thing is an experience, seeing how the bakers work behind the counter is mesmerising The pastries were just.. crazy good

Their baked goods are really of the highest quality. The beutebrot is a staple in our kitchen and there is no other spot in Moabit we consider when we need baked goods for our breakfasts. The service is friendly and super quick. On top the lovely website just shows the amount of passion the team puts into baking! They approach baking as a true craft and the products reflect it.

Stopped by this morning and enjoyed a latte, apricot pastry and a hazelnut roll. (They did offer oat milk for the lactose intolerant). The food was delicious! Not much seating area, mostly good for take away, but if you're there earlier you may be able to get a small table.

Trumpeting transparency since 2016 a visit to Domberger Brot-Werk is very much like touring a factory, staff hard at work while guests enter and exit save for a few who remain at the corner of Bochumer Strasse in Moabit to enjoy their purchase at a lone communal table. Focused on Organic Grains and traditional methods, loaves of Rye a hot commodity at both storefronts and their mobile Bakery, it is at the original that diners will also find several types of Cake plus Pretzels, Rolls and the occasional Viennoiserie. Spotless throughout a minimalist interior, self-service Water available for those who eschew Coffee, Pretzels offer good stretch beneath a malty-finish flecked with Salt while the Cardamom Roll is tightly coiled with bold aromatics and a sticky exterior caramelized till nearly burnt. Well known for morning Cakes, the daily Gugelhupf offering a delicate crumb and lots of Lemon, the better of Apricot or Butter Cake comes down to personal preference as each are delicious - the best bet being to order both.
