The Murfreesboro Square has changed over the years. Domenico’s is one of the newest places to make a home on the Square … and I hope it stays. Imagine a New York style deli in the South that rivals the ones in the Empire State. I had the Soprano and my wife had The Italian. With the sourdough bread, they had us wanting more. Great Food! My daughter has been trying to get me here for quite some time; it’s her favorite deli! Went today and may have just had the best sandwich of my life. The sourdough hoagie roll was to die for! I forgot to get a pic of my sandwich, The Laney Special because I never put it down. The service was phenomenal and the wait was minimal. Desserts look delish but didn’t have one this visit. Pasta salad was well, pasta salad! I will be back again and again!

Delicious!! Fresh and wonderful. Sourdough bread and roll was the best softness with a real authentic taste. Go on a Saturday and walk the square and shops. Perfect day!

Beautifully made and delicious sandwiches. The cannoli and cheesecake ain’t no joke either. Customer service was on point and we loved the atmosphere. Glad we don’t live closer or we’d eat here daily!

Fabulous sandwiches! The restaurant itself is very cozy with a nice variety of seating including countertop by the window. The staff were very friendly and helpful in assuring me picking out what to have for lunch. A must try when in the ‘boro!

Excellent food and great people. We ordered the Italian Beef, the Pizza Sub, the Soprano, and the Smokey all with everything on. They were excellent! Everything was fresh, service was quick, and the place is comfortable. Be warned about the Italian Beef, it is extremely spicy! 🔥 For dessert we got the NY cheesecake and it was super smooth. Will definitely return. 10/10.

Best meat ball sub I’ve ever had it’s all fresh the cheese the meat the bread. They have Mexican coke glad bottles. Absolutely Amazing! The aesthetic in the restaurant is really cool with all the Italian inspired decorations and the brick walls the staff is super nice polite and professional. One local restaurant I’m going to miss when I leave Murfreesboro in a year.

Decided to try out a local spot as I work close to the square. I used the online order feature and without realizing that they added $1.00 convenience fee and defaulted a $3.00 tip so my $13 sandwich (the soprano) was now $18. Whatever, I decided to be positive and enjoy my sandwich. The online order said ready AT 12:38 so I decided to go a little early got there about 12:30 sat until 12:45 no one called my name (they had been calling others) so I decided to ask. The sandwich was already ready and workers noticed me sitting but didn't think to ask if I was there for pickup (sandwich was not even at the pickup counter). So now I'm eating a room temp soggy sandwich I spent almost $20 on. Sandwich was.... okay. Not worth the $12 and Definitely not the $18 I spent. Overall very bad experience. I was hoping to enjoy the vibes of a local deli but probably will not be going back.

I really wanted to love this place :/ Don't get me wrong Domenicos seems to be a murfreesboro favorite. Tom of foot traffic and people coming in to get sandwiches. I just think they can elevate it a bit over there. Bread was very disappointing and the portion size for what you're paying for was a little off. Some of their Italian sub options are just not extremely authentic as their marketing portrays. I'd absolutely give it an other shot and maybe change my review.

Domenico's is a great local spot. The place is small inside, but they make the most of their space. I love the Italian sub. The staff is always super friendly and willing to answer questions or offer suggestions.

I got some type of chicken sandwich I can't remember the name but wasn't impressed. It was more on the expensive side and the sandwiches were small we left hungry. I really wanted to like this place

Sandwich was ok,sides were very good. Service was fine. Maybe a return visit??? I did like the Ambiance. I do not like it when the cashier shows the bill and the last part asks for a tip. Come on! Paul W.

Best sandwiches in Murfreesboro! I used to go to the original Domenico's in Alameda, CA which was run by the grandparents, and I loved it. I love this version as much, everything I have had has been fantastic, the Italian combo and the Chicago style Italian beef are my favorites and I always get potato salad with them. If you are craving a great sandwich give this local business a try.

Let me start off by saying the service here is top notch!! This is a hidden gem on the square in Murfreesboro. My sandwich was very good. The portion size is very small for the price. I paid $22 for a sub, chips, and drinks. However, when it comes to supporting a small business it's priceless. So I'll pay it again and again! The ambiance made me feel like I was in NY at a deli in the city.

We have eaten here multiple times for lunch. Their sandwiches are delicious and service is always friendly. Seating can be limited if they are really busy. Highly recommend their sandwiches, pasta salad, macaroni salad and potato salad. The cannolis look good but I have not tried them.

Great old fashioned but modern Italian café. Service was prompt. If you are looking for a high quality deli with fresh ingredients, this is your place. So much better than the well known chain sandwich shops. The Italian sandwich was piled high and delicious, and you can taste the quality. If you are in the area, I highly recommend a visit.

This was our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised. It's a very quaint space. The establishment was clean and the staff was very friendly. I ordered the pollo pesto on focaccia bread. Overall, the ingredients tasted fresh. I wish there was a little more flavor on the sandwich. I feel like the chicken may need additional seasoning. It was a good sandwich, but I would order something different to try next time since it didn't wow me. My husband ordered the Italian and there was a decent amount of meat and he said the flavor was very good. The price is slightly high in my opinion, but I will be back to try more. A good sandwich place is hard to find, but here one is!! I would definitely recommend stopping in if you're in the main square area!

Food and service were absolutely wonderful! My mom and I stopped at the Farmer's Market and noticed this little gem when we were heading out. Highly recommend the French dip!

When I have extra time I love coming here for my lunch break. Great subs, a loving atmosphere, my first time the cashier was very helpful helping me navigate the menu.

Flew into Nashville to visit my good friends who live in Murfreesboro. Domenico's will hold a special place in my heart as the first restaurant I ate at in Tennessee. I ordered an Italian Combo on sliced wheat bread. The sandwich was a little heavy on the mustard, but otherwise tasty. The amount of mustard would have been appropriate for a roll. Would I order it again? Absolutely! The service was fast. The location is prime being at the square and has a casual atmosphere.

Best sandwich shop in the Boro. My favorite is "The Dip." HOW do they get EVERY. SINGLE. BITE to have the perfect ratio of flavor, condiment and juice?! Every sandwich is: Juicy. Fantastic quality and ingredients. The sour cream based potato salad is creamy and the best PS I have ever had. I have had them cater for an event also and that was also a fan favorite. This place DOES NOT MISS.

Nice hidden gem. This restaurant on the square has lots of sandwich options to choose from. The ambiance is charming and service was great. The loaded potato soup was delicious and the turkey cranberry sandwich was on point.

A friend's birthday was the perfect excuse for us to stop at this restaurant (the first time for all of us!) and everyone loved it! They have a great selection of meats, cheeses, and toppings, and serving sizes are very filling for the price. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was amazing! I also appreciated the local businesses represented in their drinks and dessert cases. I will definitely be back!

I was craving a quality club sandwich, and based off the reviews, we decided to give this place a shot and man am I glad we did. This is a small place with just a handful of inside seating, but even being small, it's a really nice spot. There's enough sandwich options, but not too many to have someone stressed with all the choices. The service was great, and the young man taking our order had great suggestions. The meats on each sandwich were extremely fresh, as well as the cheese. Overall, both sandwiches were extremely flavorful! They also gave a small selection of sweets, which they make in house. The only (very minimal) downfall is that they don't have fountain drinks, it's all bottled sodas/water, however, they did have a good selection of different drinks in their refrigerator. I'll absolutely be returning to try some other sandwiches!

We stopped on our way to Alabama for a quick sandwich. Fast, friendly service. Generous with the meat and the bread was delicious. I got the Scarlet P with provolone on sliced sourdough. It was tasty and filling.

Sandwich's can get a little pricey but it was so worth it. I had a meatball sub and it was amazing. The cannoli was the best I have had out side of NY City!

Great old school Italian Deli feel with some seating inside. Very clean. I got a hot club sandwich from here and it was great, very filling. You can order one of their regular sandwiches or have them make a custom one for you. Great customer service too. Some great side options and if your lucky, some desert treats too! This place is on the rotation for when we are in town.

Oh my. Been too long to review. Best deli sandwiches in the boro. I love the flavor and varieties, (the dip is my fav). All sandwiches are easily customized to your liking. The staff have always been very welcoming. They have and can make your dream sandwich with fresh sliced meats and cheese. My all time favorite place to grab a sandwich.

Been wanting to try this place out but every time my wife and I have gone to try (2x now) it's been closed, even though it states "Open" on both yelp, and Google. Too bad....

Went here for the first time today. Loved it! You walk in and immediately get hit with lovely aroma. My wife and I both loved the sandwiches we got. And I also got a cannoli and it's probably one of the best I've ever had. Would definitely recommend, and we plan to go back soon!

Shame on me for having not written a review already...this is the ABSOLUTE BEST place to get a sandwich!!! Never have I ever had any sandwich I didn't like here. Unfortunately I didn't take pictures of my sandwich tonight because I thought I was doing an update. I ordered dessert for the first time ever and it was AMAZING!!! It was the chocolate fudge gluten free cake. It looks like cheesecake but felt like a silky smooth truffle. It was perfectly sweet and rich without being overloaded with sweetness that would dry out your mouth. Pretty sure this will be an item I get every time now. Can't believe I've been missing out. The meats are so good we almost always order a pound of something to go. The employees are super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items. One of my favorite local spots!!

Fantastic sandwiches, fresh ingredients, welcoming customer service, clean building. I've been meaning to try Domenico's for a long while (it's a tad out of the way for us) and finally did this weekend. I love a good deli sandwich and haven't found many that wow me locally. I built my own sandwhich so I could get a feel for the freshness of their produce, but am looking forward to coming back and trying one of their speciality Italian sandwiches. If they were located closer to me on the SW side of town, I'd probably stop by weekly! I hope they keep providing such fresh ingredients and great service. If so, they've got a customer for life. This place is a gem and I hope they are around for a long, long time. Oh also, they do charcuterie boards! Yay! I'm looking forward to ordering one of those too!

Outside of New York City, best deli sandwiches we ever had! I had the Reuben and my husband had hot pastrami. Also had cheesecake, so good! From the moment we walked in, the smell of the food was amazing. The workers were all very friendly and the place was very cute and welcoming! Highly recommend!

Been here a few times in the last few months and the sandwiches are still big and fully of meat with good flavor. Try to get a different sandwich each time we come but this time we went with the Scarlett P for me as that is my go to sandwich from here. My husband got the Rueben sandwich which is now his favorite for now. Staff is always good and fast when we come here. Parking can be tricky during the day time but just park on a side street and walk in and its not an issue. This is one of our 2 go to spots for sandwiches cause they are good size sandwich with good amount of meat fresh toppings and good prices.

This place makes sandwiches so good, I'd happily start a long-distance relationship with one. The Italian deli subs here are like a love letter from your taste buds that you'll want to read over and over again. The prosciutto? So perfect it could probably get elected to office. And the bread? It's the kind of crusty perfection that makes you want to apologize to every other sandwich you've ever eaten. Only reason it's not five stars? I can't legally adopt these sandwiches. Four stars because I need to save room for dessert somewhere else... eventually.

I was a bit disappointed with Domenico's Italian deli today when I went in for the first time. Being Italian, I miss the traditional Italian delis with the smell of fresh Italian breads like: focaccia, ciabatta, pane sciocco, Bruschetta, a nice variety of cheeses, deli meats, sides like caponata, and other veggie and pasta dishes in the deli case. I miss the hanging meats, the olive oils, the boxes of pasta, the peppers, the Prosciutto Cotto, the Prosciutto de Parma, the Prosciutto Crudo, the homemade Gelato, the tiramisu, Cannoli, Biscotti and everything else Italian... I'm really not trying to dog this place out, but in my personal opinion, this is a glorified subway sandwich shop posing as an Italian deli. There's nothing really "Italian Deli" about it other than the name. And to serve prepackaged dressing is a joke! My grandmother would roll over in her grave then get out and beat someone's ass if she saw that. Come on now! Homemade dressing is simple, cheap, and so much better!

So happy to find such a good deli in Murfreesboro!! My husband had us try it awhile back due to a Yelp review. At that time, we split a turkey, provolone & avocado sandwich and each had a cannoli. Yum!! This trip, we wanted to try a warm sandwich. I ordered the Pesto Pollo (baked chicken, pesto, provolone cheese, balsamic vinaigrette, parm, sun dried tomato on a roll) and my husband had the Chicken Domenico (Chicken Breast, Provolone Cheese on a Roll with Marinara Sauce). Moist chicken, delicious rolls and oh so yummy!! Very friendly staff that always welcomes you when you come in too! Highly recommend Domenico's!!

I wasn't really wowed by the sandwiches we got for the price. The Pollo Pesto is toasted and has sliced chicken breast, provolone, balsamic vinegar, and sun dried tomatoes. I loved the pesto and sundried tomato combo and was very pleased with this sandwich overall. The Soprano has hot salami, hot coppa, prosciutto, mortadella, provolone, oil and vinegar with everything on. The everything on is mayo, mustard, pickles, pepperoncini, red onion, tomato, and lettuce. I am not a fan of the hoagie bread; they didn't taste fresh to me and the texture of it was too soft, almost like cake. The good thing about these sandwiches is that they are very filling. I was also satisfied with the quality of their Italian deli meats. If I go again, I would probably try a different sandwich with different bread.

Went on a hike nearby and was looking for a fresh lunch and this place was perfect! They don't skimp in sandwich ingredients. And their ingredients were good quality and so fresh! Everyone was super nice. The food was delicious. Even the local peach mango fruit tea is so good. Totally coming back here! Absolutely hit the spot.

Domenico's Italian Deli is open for breakfast on Saturday during the Farmer's Market on the Square. Even if you don't want to attend the market...you still want to get a breakfast sandwich here. This is the Egg, Cheese, and Italian sausage on sourdough and it is incredible. Seriously...this is the BEST breakfast sandwich I've had in the 30 years I've lived in Tennessee...PERIOD!

This is a needed addition to downtown Murfreesboro. Not only is there a broad selection of sandwiches, you can also customize every aspect of your sandwich including building your own from a nice selection of breads, meats, cheeses and toppings. We also weren't sure of the seating situation but found they have a row of tables and a row of high top stools and counters. Jeffery the owner was approachable and grew up in the deli business so he has the team working well together and putting out the food in a timely manner. Our Soprano and Italian sandwiches were tasty, filling and fresh. We preferred the Soprano because of the stronger flavored meats. I'm already planning a next trip to try soups and other sandwiches with Chicago Style Italian Beef at the top of my list!

I ordered the Italian combo on wheat. Very tasty. I like their bread. It's a bit spongey, yet soft. Perfect size for a lunch sandwich in my opinion. I wasn't left hungry nor was I too stuffed.

My husband and I had this for dinner tonight and I'm very disappointed because this our second time here and the first time it was INCREDIBLE, but tonight it was horrible. The sandwich that my husband got wasn't right, he had said no cheese they added cheese on it and my husband is lactose so that's not good and he had also paid extra to get avocado, and there was no avocado on it. We were already home when we checked the sandwiches so we couldn't go back. To top it off the lady that wasn't that nice, not sure if she was having a bad day or what, but it just wasn't a good day today. We will give another try again and hopefully things are way better than today.

We've been to Domenico's Deli plenty of times and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh and we love supporting locally owned restaraunts. Some of my favorites are the Chicken Parmesan sandwich and the Reuben.

Cannot believe we waited so long to try this amazing place! The sandwiches were a good size and oh so yummy. The service was quick and helpful in making our decision on what to order. It was a pretty quiet time in the shop for our early-ish lunch. Highly recommend!

My family all ordered different things and everyone loved their food! Definitely an elevated sandwich. My toddler was a huge fan of the meatball.
