I had a very frustrating delivery experience and, in the end, I never received my food.
The address was clearly stated when I placed the order in the app. However, the delivery person, Papa Ndiaye, seemed unaware of the location and called me for clarification. He told me to come, saying he had arrived. I spent time circling around the building, but I couldn't find the delivery person.
Despite my efforts, the delivery person still couldn't reach the designated address, and I couldn't fully understand his words on the phone. Then, he yelled at me on the phone. This behavior was extremely unprofessional.
I contacted the store, and the person I spoke to claimed that the address couldn't be delivered to, although this address--Basic Science Building lobby, Georgetown University--has been successfully delivered to multiple times in the past. I was surprised to hear they couldn't deliver this time.
If the address was an issue, why was my order accepted in the first place? Why send out a delivery person without confirming it could be completed? And why was I yelled at on the phone? It was a very unpleasant experience.
I believe the delivery service has a responsibility to confirm the delivery address is clear and accurate. If there's a problem with delivery, they should cancel the order upfront. The situation was mishandled, and I found the lack of professionalism and customer service completely unacceptable.
For the sake of transparency, I'm mentioning the name of the delivery person, Papa Ndiaye, as part of my experience.
