We got the Supreme Set A for three people a bit to much food for 3 but go figure it feeds 4-5 people. But overall food and sides were hella good kimchi sour level was great and meat well seasoned. The staff were very attentive and even cooked all the meat for us. Definitely gonna be coming back

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was spot on—modern, welcoming, and perfect for a great meal with friends or family. ​We decided on the Supreme Set B, and it was an absolute feast. The highlight, without a doubt, was the monster rib. It was truly on another level of delicious—tender, perfectly marbled, and packed with flavor. Every cut of meat was high quality and grilled to perfection. ​There’s nothing quite like pairing such a savory, rich meal with a cold glass of beer. It’s the ultimate combination and exactly what a great KBBQ experience is supposed to be. If you're looking for top-tier food and a great atmosphere, DonBlac is the place to go!

This is a good, casual KBBQ experience for a group. Not the tastiest or the best bang for buck, but definitely serves as a good fix. We had a reservation for five and a toddler on a Friday night and were seated pretty quickly. Parking spaces were tight in the lot but fortunately there was a lot of street parking a couple blocks away. We ordered the supreme set A, a seafood pancake, corn cheese and bossom to share. Between us we shared a grill and had our designated cooks at the table (which is how we prefer it but some might prefer a place that cooks for you). The highlight was easily the galbi (as if often is) and we did wish that the bossom was a little less dry. The others were good (as expected) but nothing to write home about. The banchan was also very standard. Service wise, the waiters were a little slow to take our order and to give refills (for water, lettuce, etc.). Though, the yogurt soju special for our friend’s birthday was a really nice touch. Like most KBBQ places, it’s helpful to bring your own bags for your clothes as the hoods aren’t the strongest, and it can get loud, but again - it’s a fairly standard experience.

Came here right at 12 for lunch on Tuesday and the service by John was amazing. The restaurant is very lucky to have him running the business. Highly recommended!

Great quality meat and sides! We got the Beef Set A and an order small intestines and thought it was a good amount for two people. My favorite was the marinated boneless short ribs, but everything else was also good, especially with the sides. Service was incredible and our server even let us try large intestines free of charge (not shown in the picture), which we ended up loving!

It’s always a good time coming here with delicious food and lots of drinks, including beer and soju! The huge beef ribs are tender and delicious, the pork jowl is just the right amount of flavor and chewiness. I would always come back here to eat delicious meat and be served as well by the courteous staff

Cute little place with a small parking lot in front. We were there early and there was no wait. Great quantity and quality of meat with those combos. Delicious side dishes! They will cook the meat for you! My favorites were the pumpkin and the jew meat. 3/2/2024 they just changed to a new owner. But I am thankful that the quality of meat did not drop a bit. Just a change of menu. Food is still very delicious. Loved the beef tartare and kimchi pancake.

The cuts of meat are exquisite: marbled beef and flavorful lite marinades. Good Bonchon. Service was excellent, but we were one of the few occupied tables on an early Wednesday night.

The ought this spot was a chill casual KBBQ restuarant. The manager was cool and he'll make sure you have the things you need. The servers would jump from table to table to cook the meats for you, but if you have some know how you have got to keep an eye on your food and chef it up too in case the server gets hung up between tables or your meat will be overcooked. Cuts were fresh and portion was perfect for us. It's not AYCE but we got one of the packages and it hit the spot for us. The marinated beef was preferred over the non marinated for me. Had good flavored meat was buttery and tender. Add that with your banchan and some good ol rice with chili paste and I'm good to go. Would come back. Before you leave they also have the game where you stop the timer on 10s exact and earn a $50 voucher for your next visit. Give it a try!

We were looking for some dinner after spending the day in San Fran and the original spot we looked into going to had an insane waiting line. We were craving KBBQ but none of the spots near us appealed to us, so we decided to go over the bridge to Oakland, to try Don Blanc! Wow! Everything was so good! We decided to go with the Beef Set A and keep things simple. It came with the option of either kimchi or soybean soup, and I opted for soybean. I WAS A BIG FAN of the cheesy corn! It was absolutely delicious and not dry at all. I feel like many places, they make their cheesy corn with only cheese and corn, but I believe Don Blanc adds mayo + milk? Not entirely sure to be honest, but whatever they add, it made ALL the difference! The meat cuts from the set were very fresh and tasty. They cook the meats for you, which I appreciated. The first lady we had, she actually overcooked our meat and meat ended up being dry + tough to eat lol so we were questionable at first, but luckily two other staff members took over later in our meal and we had a much better experience. I would definitely come back again if ever in Oakland/SJ area. Also, for the bone in short ribs, they take out the bones for you, which I thought was neat! Never had that done before. Parking: free parking lot.

This review for Don Blanc is long overdue, but it's hands down the best non-AYCE Korean BBQ spot in Oakland. While it's definitely on the pricier side, you are absolutely paying for the quality of the meat, and it is well worth every penny. The selection of cuts is fantastic, and everything we've tried has been exceptionally fresh and flavorful. If you're feeling a bit adventurous, I highly recommend trying the beef intestines--they are prepared perfectly and are surprisingly delicious. Beyond the meat, the banchan spread is also excellent, with a variety of fresh and tasty side dishes that complement the meal perfectly. The staff is attentive and the atmosphere is great. Don Blanc is the place to go for a premium K-BBQ experience in Oakland.

Absolutely amazing!! Our friend took us here for my birthday and everything was absolutely awesome. Their quality of meat is top-tier too The service here is beyond. Excellent I would definitely come here again. It's super clean and cozy inside the wait wasn't too bad either.

We came in on a Sunday at about 4:45pm. At the time tell, there was only one other table seated, who seemed to be enjoying the food and vibes of the place. As a part of 4, we were seated right away at a corner table with more than enough space for all of us. We ordered one of the beef combos with kimchi stew, as well as a few pork options. All the meat was incredibly fresh, and well marinated. The assortment of bonchon, especially their pickle, was incredible as well. The food, the staff, and the vibes will definitely bring me back here.

The servers were so fun and energetic even at 10pm. They had conversations with you, they ask if you want assistance cooking for you, or you cook for yourself. The place was lively even late at night and not many people. The bossam was sooo good. Not too fatty which I liked. We also got the Beef set A. Meat was really good. All of this split between 3 people. We were stuffed and satisfied after watching going to the movie theater.

I can't believe I haven't told the world how awesome Don Blanc is yet. This place is amazing. Not your typical Korean BBq selection. Yeah they've got good beef and pork but they also have an amazing selection of intestines as well as some other really cool dishes. You definitely need to try their stir fried chicken gizzards. It's a super chill spot with really friendly service. Definitely recommend

Unlike AYCE Korean BBQ, this place is all about quality meat and food that's Ala Cart. Def the spot to go to for great food and a fun time without having to feel like you're trying get your moneys worth because you will be with this meat quality!

Hosted a post conference dinner at Don Blanc back in August. The restaurant was such a joy to organize with. They were very accommodating, kept open lines of communication, and were kind throughout the whole process. I'm sure they operate the same way for regular customers, their customer service is top notch. The restaurant is huge. Plenty of seating everywhere, very well ventilated. The food was great. They have a variety of meat choices and every single choice felt of high quality. They also have cooked dishes you can order and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. They all taste great. I'd definitely check out this gem of a restaurant if you get a chance :) I will be back whenever I'm in the area.

The meat is such high quality. The pork belly serving comes with 3 large portions, you're definitely getting the price you paid for. Pork Belly (4/5): thick cuts of meat, but perhaps a little greasy for my liking Buckwheat cold noodles (5/5): very chewy and broth was rich in flavor. Noodles were cooked well and had a nice stretch instead of breaking clean through. bowl was a palent cleanser with the fatty pork belly. Loved the complimentary variety of banchan, cucumbers, kimchi, pickled daikon/radish, etc and kimchi soup. In comparison to other korean restaurants, its definitely on the pricier end. Rice is not complimentary, but may depend on what you order. Servers were so friendly and chatty and can definitely help you make a decision or even grill for you. It's not too big inside, on a busy day, there may be a wait. I definitely recommend making a reservation beforehand, especially since street parking was difficult to find.

I had a great time at Don Blanc, I've been meaning to go here after hearing how premium the meat is! We were immediately seated on a Sunday night, and it seemed relatively spacious. Every table has a grill, and the server cooks for us! We got the Beef Set A, and that was enough to feed four people with our Fried Chicken. The banchans filled us up, and the server was so sweet to constantly refill for us. As they cooked, they told us what banchan or sauce to eat each meat with, and the pairing was delicious. Though each meat was good, I feel it was not as melty or flavorful as other places. I also really like the Soy Garlic Fried Chicken. It was so tender and crispy, it satisfies all the checkboxes. Overall, I am so happy to had experienced Don Blanc and had a great time.

Nice spot for kbbq in Oakland! We got the set menu and added on a couple of meats and apps. Highlights were the pork jowl and chadol (thin beef brisket). We also enjoyed the pork belly with the ssamjang and sides provided. Service is great and they help you grill the meats if you're not feeling confident doing so. The parking lot does get busy though so depending on time of day it's likely you'll have to find street parking.

Amazing food! Lots of banchan and they cook the meats for you. I'm not super knowledgeable about meats but my friends who enjoy barbecuing enjoyed the meats and complimented the quality of them. Yes, it's pricy but you get what you pay for!

Finally tried Don Blanc in Oakland since its one of the only restaurants left that closes late. When we arrived there's about 2 table that was filled. I'm not sure if our server was new but was not good. Burned our meet, I asked for some lettuce a hot tea and soda food came before the drinks and we had to re asked her for the drinks. I was really hoping that this place was gonna be good, but for the price range this Korean bbq was mediocre at best. The meats were good but they had very little side options. The meat was good quality, ofcourse better than your average all you can eat. Their stew was good and tasty. Honestly, I just got really irritated when we had to keep on asking for things we already had asked for. For the price range, customer service could be better.

So so good! From the fresh and high quality cuts of meat to the excellent service, my friends and I had an excellent time. throughout our entire dine. We ordered three types of meat, a few sides, and a soup. The meal came with tons of banchan and some rice. I need to mention the cheese corn because it was mind blowingly good. I've had cheese corn before but never like this. Get this for sure. For meat we tried the Snowflake Premium Boneless Galbi, Marinated Boneless Angus Short Rib, and newly added Hickory Pork. The marinated boneless short rib was my favorite, but both were super delicious and beautifully marbled. Thanks to John, our top notch server and chef, all the meat was grilled to perfection. Also tried the korean fried chicken, soybean soup, and steamed egg. All were delicious! My party of three left super full and with tons of leftovers. It is a bit pricy to dine here but I think it's worth the splurge. Truly an amazing experience and we felt so welcome and happy throughout. Sad to see the place was so empty when we came on a Saturday lunch. Definitely gonna be back for a special occasion :)

Nice facility that is not too busy. We wanted noodles and the staff was willing to make japchae for us for about $10. They have intestine which is special and more unique. I personally thought it was pretty expensive, maybe about $40-$50 per person for a fair amount of food. There are so many options which I appreciate in Oakland making korean food competitive. I would probably go for all you can ear in the future unless someone was looking for more specialized dishes like the intestine.

I usually go to AYCE places because it's more bang for my buck, but I think Don Blanc is worth the price due to the quality of the meat and the service provided. The place looks small on the outside but it's quite spacious. It wasn't super busy on the night I went but there was no parking in the small lot so I had parked somewhere down the street. The food was brought out in a timely manner and the food is cooked for you as well. I really enjoyed the pork jowl and I don't really order pork when I go out to eat at other KBBQ restaurants, but I'd definitely come back here to satisfy any cravings.

Party of 5 came for dinner on Saturday at 7pm with little wait time. We ordered the premium set, intestine set, and rose tteobokki. Food was so good! We liked that they cook for you so you can focus on conversations. The attentive service makes this place a winner of kbbq in my books. They check on you often and cook everything to perfection. Even though the place got busier, the great service never faltered.

Parking is a nightmare here so come early! We were welcomed and sat right away. We ordered the supreme combo and intestines! They cook everything for you! Barely any smoke which we appreciate because we had babies with us. The meat quality is so good. The intestines weren't that good.. I wouldn't get it again. The servers were great, friendly & high spirited. They played good music! I'd come back and try other things! Potstickers were good!

The most expensive kbbq I've been at and there is no AYCE option. There are different meat selections and they sell by sets. The meat is fresh, not frozen like most AYCE kbbq spots. The presentation and the assistance in cooking gave a VIP feel. Banchan was plentiful and yummy. They have bean paste, but you'll have to ask for it and it's different from what I'm used to but still does the job. The pork butt was probably my favorite. It was thick and juicy, but not as fatty as pork belly. It also came with ghee placed on top of the grill so it was hot and when you dip the piece of pork butt... *chefs kiss*! I wish it was earlier in the meal because I was too full to eat more even though I wanted to. The ladies were patient and friendly. They answered any questions politely. They have a variety of soju and sake cocktails to choose from. The best part is that we didn't leave smelling like bbq! I'm not sure if their ventilation is that good or if it's because we didn't cook our own meat. All in all, it's a treat. Even though we got full with the set we chose, AYCE kbbq just hits differently. The quality of meat may be better here, but if you're all about quantity then this spot is probably not it.

What a great spot tucked away in Koryo Plaza! There is a little lot you can park in for free, but there is also street parking available all around the plaza. We came for dinner at 5PM for a party of 21 (reserved in advance) to celebrate my boyfriend's grandpa's 76th birthday. We ordered Supreme Set B and seafood pancake all around. It was so delicious! Banchan come out first with either a kimchi or soybean stew - we chose kimchi. It was flavorful and not too spicy! Then our server grilled our meats: pork belly, rib eye, boneless galbi and brisket. Our favorite meats were the juicy rib eye and succulent pork belly!

Dinner at Don Blanc felt like I was getting catfished by Instagram influencers who gave amazing reviews in exchange for $$. Reality did not match social media at all. The value is just not there (price and quality do not match). The "premium" is not there (if they have to say that it's so premium, then it's not). And the overall the service is not there. They even charge for rice and to me that's the biggest tell that Don Blanc is not for its customers. We paid $200 for dinner for 2 for a lackluster beef set, subpar service, and just ok banchan. Only plus is the kimchi. It was quite good. We had to ring the bell for everything, including basic things like: "oh, you brought the meat, but nobody turned the grill on". Or "could you give us the drinks we ordered?" Or "hey, the grill is literally burnt, could you change it?" These are basic things and the fact that Don Blanc bills itself as high-end but cannot deliver, is a sign of the quality of the restaurant. They didn't even cook the meat for us even when we asked!! The place is clean and they have good hoods for the smoke but it's drafty and impersonal too. And I gotta say the staff did not look happy at all. Even when they were nice, hey looked harassed and upset the whole time. Every single one of them, especially the non-Korean staff and that gave me pause. Happy workers is a sign of a good restaurant and unhappy ones... you get the gist. And it wasn't like it was packed. Overall I would say: don't be fooled by good marketing on Don Blanc's socials and don't waste your time or money here, that premium label is just smoke

High quality meat and good korean bbq service. Came with my family for a meal and truly enjoyed everything we tried. The soup was also very tasty. Would say this spot is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

High quality meat and service? Sign me up! Don Blanc is located in a small plaza with free parking, but there is also street parking available. There is plenty of tables but does get busy on the weekends so make a reservation if you can! You can choose sets or a la carte. It was my first time so I ordered a set and one a la carte, which was a lot for three people because of the sides. Supreme Set B: 5/5 - such delicious and high quality meats! Our favorite were all the pork, which makes sense because they specialize in pork and the boneless galbi was top tier. The meat is cooked for you and they pace themselves based on your eating pace which is great because you don't feel like you have to rush eat everything.

Good food and great service. They wanted to grill our meat at our table but I wanted to do it because it was fun. Great time.

I've seen Don Blanc on several Insta and TicToc pages and typical patrons order their bbq table side. We ended up ordering some snack type foods not overly wanting to eat too much meat after a little night of kpop concerting. We ordered steamed egg, garlic fries, cheese corn, seafood Tteok-bokki, fish cake soup, kimchi fried rice, bulgogi, and a bunch of Banchan. It was ok. Skip the soggy fries and tteokbokk needed more sauce; get the bulgogi and steamed egg fosho! Some dishes come out later than expected and owners were apologetic and comped us. We were grateful for hyeongs kindly service and consideration. This is really a late spot for bbq and drinks. It's cold in here so bring a jacket w/ a hood *burr*, great kpop vibes and a fun place if your throwing back some soju. Kamsamnida hyeongs!

Great quality and delicious food! Loved all the bon chon options and the meal also came with soup. We had the option of soybean or kimchi soup and went with the kimchi which was delicious and not too spicy. Service was very punctual because they actually cook the food for you here which was a nice treat and they were great about not letting it get too smokey. The only thing was at the end of the meal, it took us a while to flag down the server to ask for our check, though on the positive side they definitely don't rush you out! The restaurant is large and noisy like most KBBQ places but it was very clean and didn't feel crowded or overwhelming.

Our family decided to come here for my sisters birthday and we got the supreme set B (4 people total). This includes brisket, snowflake boneless galbi, pork belly, and pork jowl. Flavors were bursting in my mouth as soon as I eat each meat. The best thing about this place is that they GRILL for you so you can sit and wait for the meat to come to you! Their sides are good and we asked for their homemade spicy sauce. High quality meat, great service, huge space, and very accommodating. :) this marks the top k bbq place near Oakland/Berk.

(4.5/5) Made a reservation for a Saturday evening and got seated immediately! The place is actually kinda smaller than I expected, so the wait might be long if it's really busy. Parking is also very limited, so you'll most likely have to find one on the street. This was my second time trying a higher end KBBQ spot and I left satisified again! We ordered the Supreme Combo Set A + an order of Brisket. The marinated boneless galbi was my favorite, I'm still thinking about it right now LOL. The marinated pork collar was also really flavorful. The portions were decent for 3 of us and we took leftovers home. I also enjoyed all the banchan! Kimchi actually had a good kick to it. I do wish that rice was complimentary at least, but you do get lettuce, kimchi or soybean stew, and salad with your set. Other than that, the workers were pretty nice and attentive. That night, they even passed around some fishcakes on the house. Would come back for sure!

Best place in Oakland/Berkeley area for KBBQ. The meat quality is super great and staff is so helpful. They definitely amped up their service throughout the past couple of years going there! The banchan is always very fresh and I love the side salad! - Pork Belly (9/10) - LA Kalbi (10/10) This place is definitely on the pricier end, but you are definitely getting your moneys worth! They also gave us kimchi stew on the house :)

Gopchang was overpriced for small portion but tasted great. Not many options for Gopchang on bay

The premium meats make this place leaps and bounds better than most places in the East Bay. It is more expensive but totally worth IMO. I don't have to go to San Jose anymore. Kim chi fried rice, cold noodles, seafood pancake are all delicious. This is one of the few places that have the spicy marinated crab. This is my new Korean Bbq place.

We came here after a night out singing along to our boys. Wanting some gopchang and kbbq, we went looking for a place that was still open around the area and we found this gem. This place is bright and huge with lots of seating. Their menu offers both ala carte or Combo to feed your whole hungry table and their cravings. We ordered Supreme Combo w/ Stew Set B: brisket, snowflake, Boneless galbi, and pork belly. -they cooked it table sude so this was a plus for us because all we did was just grab cooked meat and enjoyed it. We didn't have to bother cooking it ourselves so there was no token bbq person that cooked for the whole table. Soybean soup was the soup we chose that night and it was savory and burned your tongue good. The meats were grilled perfectly that it just melted right in. I can tell it was fresh and good quality meats. Don Blanc Medium Combo (3 choice of Intestines) veal, Large intestines and abomasum. They have a separate set up for this on the side. These were pre-cooked and finished grilling table side. These intestines were cleaned well and that's how I love eating my intestines. There were no gritty or bitter aftertaste. They were chewy (in a good way) and paired well with the sauces they offer. Spicy Buckwheat Cold Noodle Chewy, delightful and bouncy cold noodles. It was a great addition to all the oily grilled food that we had and cleansed our palate. It has the right mix of sweet and spiciness in it. Peach Soju to top off the great good we had. This place is a must if you're in the area craving for a good kbbq. They have friendly people working here and were very attentive making sure you're enjoying your meal. Price point is on a pricey side but you get good quality meats and with the service they provide you, it's so worth it.

This is my new favorite KBBQ place in the bay! I was loyal to Ohgane for years, but the quality of meat and the service at Don Blanc are superior. We went at opening at 12pm for lunch on a Sunday and were greeted and seated right away. We ordered two meats, the Marinated boneless angus short rib (5/5, highly recommend) and the pork belly (4.5/5). This was enough for 2 people, as we also got a side of rice, egg souffle, the free banchan (side dishes), and complimentary kimchi tofu soup! It was plenty of food and we were very satisfied without being overly full. But the best part is that the staff cooks for you- without us even asking, they helped cook the meats and vegetables in front of us. Lots of seating, good for groups. There's a small parking lot but also plenty of street parking. The one downside is that it is pricier than some other KBBQ in the area, but the meat quality and service make up for it. Looking forward to coming back to try more meats!

My friend treated me to KBBQ for my birthday! The server cooks and cuts the meat for you, and they had nice side dishes. The parking lot is small, but we found street parking. We ordered a set menu, but we also added corn cheese! This place was a vibe and it was delicious! I want to try the intestines the next time I come here.

I would give this place a 3.5/5 if I could, but Yelp only allows whole numbers. Overall, this place is alright but definitely overhyped. We went as a party of 4 and ordered the Beef Set A, which was enough food for us. It wasn't super busy that day so they cooked the meat for us which was nice. It didn't come with complimentary rice unlike most Korean restaurants I go to, so we ordered 3 bowls of rice. The meat set has three cuts of meat: brisket, LA Galbi, and boneless galbi. The brisket was very disappointing. It was super dry and rough, definitely subpar quality. Most AYCE KBBQ brisket is better than this. The LA Galbi on the other hand was soooo good. Very sweet and nicely marinated and tender. The boneless Galbi was alright but a bit dry. The set comes with a lot of side dishes and a complimentary soup and we picked the kimchi soup. The kimchi soup was really disappointing. Lacked flavor, dry meat, huge pieces of kimchi that could've been cut for easier consumption. The side dishes were all super good and I especially liked the fish cake and kimchi. Overall not bad but it's overpriced and I'd really only go back for the LA Galbi and side dishes. The servers were all really nice so that's a plus.

My husband requested K bbq for his birthday dinner, so we decided to try someplace we'd never been before: Don Blanc. As soon as we got there, everyone made us feel welcome and strived to make my husband's birthday meal extra special. We had the kimchi stew, an abundance of banchan, the Duroc pork belly, and the marinated boneless Angus short ribs. Oh, and the egg soufflé! That was the surprise hit of the night! I think it's called "steamed egg" on the menu. There was sooooo much food and everything was so delicious. We will definitely be back with more people so we can try more dishes next time!

Menu is small but great selection. Pricing seems high but well worth its quality. Probably the best pork belly and short rib I've ever had! Service was great. Not as attentive but not terrible. Restaurant was very clean. Overall I definitely recommend and I would come back!

The staff was so friendly! I enjoyed eating here, there was no wait time on a weekday. I recommend coming on a weekday so that the staff can accommodate everyone and spend time at the table. Our main server was John and he was so funny and nice! He and his coworkers took turns coming over to the table to cook the meats. Unlimited refills on banchan (side dishes). I got the supreme b with wings and that was enough for 5 people. I highly recommend coming here for the great food and staff!

Finally got to try this place with my son. We both agreed it was /probably the best Korean Bbq we have had and so worth the 26 minutes to Oakland. Great service too/our waiter made us his own special salad that was really good too. We will be back.

I only recommend you go there for BBQ, the meats quality is great. But other foods were so so or below average. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The restaurant located in a small plaza with other restaurants.

Came here at 5pm on a Saturday trying to beat the crowd, ended up we were the only group until almost like an hour later. Parking is going to be a real struggle because the parking lot is super tiny and street parking is very rare, so give yourself some time for that. We opted for the meal combo with various types of meats, the quality was top notch but the portion was a bit on the smaller side for the price. The combo also came with kimchi jiigae which was nicely made. The boss also gave us four soy sauce shrimps and they were very tasty! Lots of soju and beer options as expected in this Korean joint, we also tried one of their specialty beer with kimchi flavor but honestly we would just stick with Terra all the way next time. Our server did about 70% of the meat grilling for us, for the rest of the 30% just watch your plate as we did get some meat burned!

Made me feel like I was in a Korean drama! Was waiting a while to try this place out and it did not disappoint. So many side dishes, very cheesy corn and fresh meat! There was some good beers to choose from as well. The restaurant itself had a a relaxing vibe!

We got suckered by an IG reel claiming this is the best kbbq in the Bay Area. It was decent but definitely not the best. My rating is more of a 3.5 stars. There's a small parking lot with limited spots. We made reservations for lunch on a Sunday shortly after they opened. We could've just walked in since there was only one other group there when we arrived with plenty of open tables, and it wasn't that busy. With that said, for it not being that busy, the service was slow and not very attentive. We had to catch the attention of one of the staff when we needed to order more drinks. One of the meat was also dropped by the server while she was cooking for us. Oh yeah, this is the type of kbbq where they cook for you. Now, onto the food. We ordered beef set A to share among 3 people with smaller appetites. If you're super hungry, this is enough for two people. Meat itself was good, nothing memorable, though. I love Korean steamed egg and this was actually my favorite item to eat. Overall, I wouldn't have to come back. There are plenty of other Korean kbbq spots that are way better than this restaurant for mediocre service. Only check out this place if you don't have to wait to be seated.

Best Korean barbecue in the east bay! They do a la carte with such high quality meats and great ban chan. I particularly love the pork belly and collar -- which is are also on their happy hour if you time your visit well! The servers are always nice and very attentive while cooking the meats for you. They are open until 1am on the weekends and it's a fun vibe with lots of drink options and still the same amazing food menu. Cannot recommend this spot enough!

Don Blanc was pretty good. It's not AYCE so keep that in mind. The waiters cook the meat for you which was nice you can just concentrate on eating. I thought the meat at times "tasted" a bit like gas or chemicals. But the quality of the meat was good. Price is a bit steep for a non-AYCE, but it was enough for 3 people with some leftovers so it should be good for 4. Their banchan was good, they even had onions with vinegar which I haven't seen at a KBBQ spot. Overall Don Blanc is worth the visit for an efficient KBBQ experience.
