They are disorganized and logic doesn’t make any sense. I’ll take you though my breakfast experience . We arrive with a party of 4. We clearly see tables open, they are dirty but a wipe down takes only a few seconds. So we wait a couple minutes while she “wipes the table” or so we thought. Another party who just arrive got seated immediately? Anyways, we came to the table that I have originally eyed out before getting sat downs, to only realize that it was the same exact table that was NOT WIPED DOWN. The picture provided is after some hand wiping of my own. Much dirtier before.
The wait time is atrociously long, they are so disorganized. There was people before us that just ordered drink and it took them 10 minutes to just receive them. We notice how a lot of people who needed service ( getting the check, needed menus, drink) where not prioritize and instead, staff focus on menial activities like a single napkin that was on the floor, sitting costumers (while not attending the current ones) and other stuff that made no sense.
It was ONLY, when we were discussing about leaving and taking our business else where did we ‘suddenly’ get menus. Keep in mind, most staff workers are working at a very slow, calm pace, while there is clearly costumers who need support
As for the menus, everything seem kind of over priced for what you get. I think they sort of try to justify their prices by naming their items in a quirky way like a rustic burger spot that names their fries ‘sharables’. The drinks are served in small mason jars which makes it hard to justify 7-8 drinks with no refills.
Also, I KID YOU NOT, while waiting for our drinks for nearly 10 minutes , there was a old costumer who raised her hand for help, a server made eye contact for a second or two, and instead took an order to a table all the way in the back, and took a longer path to avoid the older costumer. FURTHERMORE, even after taking the other costumers order, she keeps on ignoring the older lady, while serving new costumers?? While consistently ignoring this older costumer.
At this point I am wondering why this place has such high reviews? Were they incentivized? Family bais? Maybe I just came at a bad time? Regardless, this does not excuse everything that has happened (better said, lack of things that happened).
Unfortunately for us, we ended up leaving becuase there is no way it should take 25 minutes to get just coffees. And after being ignored and constantly being place last for costumers that are incoming while ACTIVLEY, ignoring their already seated costumers. We just had to walk out. This place is unacceptable. I belive the reviews are incentivized or are not the real full picture of this place service and experience. I would honestly avoid this over price, waste of time restaurant even with all the influencer hype and bias reviews.
Ps to store owner reply : I am not asking for perfection nor 5 star restaurant experience. When writing this review I take these things into account, however I still think it’s unacceptable to lack some sort of humility. Never did we ever get reassuring our things where coming out, never did we get the passion of serving in a family run restaurant, and we for sure, never received at the very least, an adequate experience through and through. Not once in this experience did we get some reassurance of anything. We felt ignored, and so did others
Again, I am not expecting excellence, nor perfection, I was just expecting a good breakfast at a local restaurant. With at the very least, some sort of humility. Unfortunate it’s not shown in the service, environment, staff, nor the owner response. I don’t require apology, nor do I think it’s professional to seek pity - just do better
