My dog is seeing a specialist here in Culver City and we spotted this place in the Ralphs supermarket shopping area during one of our outings and decided to give it a try. We are from the central valley so Mexican food is a staple and sometimes it's a little worrisome to try Mexican food when you're somewhere else because it is pretty darn good where I live.
This restaurant offers a small seating area outside, but we chose to sit inside. We were able to choose our own table, and we were given menus immediately the young woman who waited on us, was very pleasant and answered the questions I had about the menu. They have a fairly good selection of items lots of standards, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, etc. I was very hungry and ordered the taco plate which usually comes with two tacos, rice and beans however, I really did not want rice that day and asked if they could just give me beans and I also wanted a cheese enchilada. My sister ordered one of the giant burritos. The tortillas for the tacos are excellent. I had ordered shredded beef tacos, one soft and one hard just so I can see which one I liked best. I definitely would recommend the soft taco although both were good. Soft tacos have the standard cilantro, onion, and cabbage where the hard shell has the cheese and lettuce the sauce of the enchilada was not sweet, it was a nice flavor, the beans were also very good and I ignored my common sense and ended up eating everything.
I would say the only thing that wasn't especially good were the chips and salsa they serve you on the table. We were served a pico de Gallo in a tiny little cup, and it was a little cumbersome to try to get some on your chip because the cup was so small.
My sister said her burrito was very good. She had also opted for shredded beef and asked for no cilantro on hers. It was huge, and appeared to have the same sauce on it as the enchilada. A glass of beer on tap was eight dollars but my lunch came to just slightly over $20 and was worth it. We will definitely be back here again.
