Don Duck Old Quarter Restaurant

While we waited for our food, the waitress came over and told us we had to wait 10 minutes. But guess what? She gave us two delicious fried duck Vietnamese rolls as a little treat! That was so sweet of her. When our food finally arrived, it was absolutely amazing! The portions were generous, perfect for those who can’t overeat. The waiters and supervisor were always on the lookout, checking in on us and making sure everything was okay. It was clear that they cared about our experience. Overall, this place is a ten out of ten! If you’re a fan of duck meat, you absolutely must try it in the Old Quarter area.

The food is super good! I ordered the duck spring roll and the waiter was so kind he even told me that there’s 1/2 since I was eating alone. The roast duck is super delicious!! I will come back and eat here again

I arrived at this Michelin Guide restaurant a bit early, and although there were some reserved tables, it was still relatively empty. However, by the time we finished our meal, the restaurant was completely full. The duck had crispy skin and tender meat, which was delightful. The spring roll was also good, especially when eaten with the leaves on the plate ( i forget the leaves name).

Had an early dinner here on a weekday. Most economical meal I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing at Michelin rated restaurant. The staff recommended some dishes, but I had reviewed the menu prior to arriving and already had an idea of what I wanted. I could not discern if these recommended dishes were just bestsellers or if they were actually dishes that the restaurant is doing best. I did notice they all happened to be the most expensive items on the menu. All menu photographs are as of 05/08/2025. Not pictured is the iced jasmine tea. 4 stars for service only because it took a bit for the check to come and I watched another diner before me stand up to ask for her check and they made her sit back down and wait. Otherwise attentive staff and delicious food.

Such a delightful experience. The service is fantastic. The duck is roasted perfectly and the sauce is very tasty, especially when had with the basil. The duck spring roll was delicious. Nicely paired with iced lime juice. The veggies are crunchy and delicious. Even the boiled rice is cooked so perfectly; firm enough to stick together but not too hard to taste undercooked. Highly recommended!!!

Don Duck Old Quarter Restaurant did not disappoint me and my partner; we were craving for duck on our last night at Hanoi. This restaurant has Michelin guide (see my attached photo), had good customer service, and great food taste. Their duck liver was especially amazing. The prices were acceptable as well. I'd definitely come back here in future when I'm back in Old Quarter Hanoi!

The place offers creative foods - such a good blend of local ingredients/dishes and the western style/cuisines. Taste is complimented by wine and other types of drinks. Though the space is small (they have seats upstairs), seating is comfy and guests are well taken care of. I had one duck confit salad and one duck liver pate which were both fantastic! I definitely would come back and strongly recommend!

Loved their duck steak! So smoky and savory.. the grilled duck was yummy too.. it has a strong coconut oil fragrant The place is small but the service is quick and detailed.. definitely will come back 🫶🏻
