Food is great, SERVICE however HORRIBLE. Went to grab some food today June 19,2025 around 3:30pm lady and gentleman both on their phone said hi and was ignored I said hi again and finally got their attention. I asked the lady if they had a certain meat because I know sometimes they can run out she responded with a BIG ATTITUDE and said “you see the menu that’s what we have” her attitude almost made me leave…

Google
Don Panchito Taco truck serves up Mexican food day and night on between Metropolitan and North 3rd. the truck is parked there year round. not much public seating in the immediate area, but there is some places a few minutes away by door. food is consistently good and the portions are ample for the price. recently, had the al pastor burrito—took about 10-15 minutes to make cuz there was an order ahead of mine. food is made to order here, NOT quickly slapped together. the burrito was pretty big—rice, savory al pastor pork, beans, cheese, crema, and more. everything tasted good combined altogether. tho i wish the burrito had a little less rice and more pork (but I get that this would make the burrito more $ but it also would take from a good burrito to a great one). the tortilla was wrapped perfectly for a tight burrito not messy at all and travels well as they wrapped it up in paper and foil neatly. the al pastor burrito will run ya $9 + tip. the menu is very wallet-friendly. the staff is friendly and quick.

Google
Don Panchito used to have a great cemita and burrito, but now their burrito and cemita taste so terrible. Why do you replace iceberg lettuce with red cabbage in burrito??? Horrible choice of ingredient that doesn't go with burrito. And for cemita, you burnt the cheese so bad, it's hard as rock. And too much chipotle pepper in cemita, I can't taste anything but the pepper. And where's avocado in cemita? If you were to increase the price, the food quality gotta stay the same at least, but it's a shame your food quality plunged even after the price hike. Whoever run Don Panchito right now--you have to follow previous owner's recipe. Don't whip up your own, it was the worst cemita and burrito I had in my life.

Google
Honestly, disappointed with this place. I paid at the beginning, and after 30 minutes waiting, I have to be shouted out by the server saying I didn’t pay when getting my order. After showing the receipt, I didn’t even hear “i’m sorry” or apologies. Never again.

Google
Been coming here for years! I always get tacos al pastor, taco de bistec, taco de pollo. I always ask for extra lemons. Very authentic taste. I bring my friends from out of town here especially my Mexican friends from California who are VERY picky with their tacos and they approve!

So good! And they got big tacos! I was so satisfied their carnitas tacos. Great price too

Google
Perfect spot for a Late Night Taco after hitting the local bars. Tacos are $4 - $5 and are stuffed full with all the goodies and fresh herbs. Best Deal for the Best Street food in Williamsburg. I recommend the Steak Taco with Salsa Verde. Everything this truck makes is good. There's always business. All the locals get the grub here.

I usually go get the empanadas across the street but today I decided to get something from here. Oh my oh my was that delicious! And for $5? Yeah I’ll be back

Yelp
Fantastic Mexican food truck. It's located by Court Square in LIC for the past year, so I'm not quite sure if the listing is up to date, but I'm so glad it's in LIC. Great for late night food. I ordered the pollo asada Mexican platter. It comes with a generous amount of rice, beans, salad, and 2 thin, seasoned slices of chicken all for $12! Quick and cheap and delicious.

Yelp
I'm from SoCal so I'm always craving a good, cheap burrito or taco. Decided to try this truck and although it was good, it didn't hit my craving. I got a burrito and the tortilla was pretty solid but the contents were a little lacking. Some key differences between SoCal trucks and this spot were that the cheese was cotija, the veggie burrito had broccoli in it, and the meat was pre-marinated and cooked on the grill instead of on a rotisserie. The red sauce tasted like a spicy enchilada sauce so it lacked the flavor and depth of other red sauces but the green sauce was pretty solid. The burritos are $12 and tacos are $4. They also have a service charge for cards that's not listed and I'm not sure how it adds up but the subtotal for two burritos was $26 instead of the expected $24. Overall for NYC, this place is not bad but I probably would check out other trucks before coming back here.

Yelp
Let's taco 'bout this awesome taco truck. It's a real gem in Williamsburg. First off, the shrimp tacos and carnitas are absolute winners! They're incredibly delicious, and seasoned just right. Now, onto the fish tacos. They do have this slight fishy taste that's a bit off-putting. I still give major props to this taco truck for dishing out some seriously tasty eats. If you're in the mood for some top-notch tacos that'll make your taste buds sing, swing by this taco truck. Just maybe skip the fish tacos if you're not a fan of that extra fishy flavor. The team behind the counter is always friendly and quick to serve up your order with a smile. Plus, they're super accommodating, whether you're customizing your order or asking for recommendations. So, next time you're craving some delicious street food, give this taco truck a try.

Yelp
Shady. Came here a few times and the food is good. But they always take the tap to pay machine right after you pay, and tip themselves. Today, I bought two burritos, the screen showed ~$27 with tax, and then got charged $30+ after I got home. This happened multiple times already. We would've tip if they just present the tip screen vs. doing shadyly themselves. Ask for a receipt if you come here!

Yelp
Great deal for burritos here. They're ginormous and it's only for $10-12. I've had the Bistec (steak) and the Al Pastor (pork and pineapple). They're not the best burritos I've had but you definitely get good value. Like the Al Pastor was a bit fatty and didn't have the best cuts of meat but the pineapple definitely helped give it unique flavors. Would love to try more of they're extensive menu. The melon (cantaloupe) drink was all fresh juice with some sugars. Cheers

Yelp
Always gotta preface, I've lived in California for the past 10 years and regularly had some of the best Mexican food in San Diego, Los Angeles, the Bay Area, and NYC Mexican food simply doesn't compare. It's levels. For context, the best place in NY is maybe a Top 20 spot in LA/The Valley. Had Taqueria Ramirez, bleh, extremely overhyped. Had Taqueria Coatzingo, cool. Tacos Bravos, cool. El Rey Del Taco, cool. Super Burrito claims Mission Burrito style, which excited me as a former San Franciscan, but it was meh. The rice was bland, mushy, and the beans weren't given any love. I say all that to say - If Los Tacos No 1 is the best taco I've had so far in NY, then Don Panchito is the best burrito I've had so far in NY. Not only is the size of the burrito is insane for the price, but it boasts flavors I've only experienced in the West Coast. The Al Pastor is cooked to perfection. Even though pineapple is traditionally more mandatory for tacos, it's a nice touch to the rest of their burrito. The rice is seasoned and not mushy like Super Burrito. I also ordered bistec tacos. The taco itself was cool, but the bistec was a bit under seasoned. The Pastor Burrito is obviously the star here. Even though I live about a half hour out, this is now my new go-to spot whenever I'm craving a burrito. The food comes out fast, so you also don't have to wait long to bite into that pillowy goodness. Provecho.

Yelp
In lic I normally go to Los taco habenerous for tacos. But came here to try and it was pretty good. The beef tongue I would think thin slices but they had it cubed. I would recommend their portion and meat amount they put into their burrito is worth it. The carnitas was pretty good. The tacos were okay. I like the burrito more. The quesadilla wasn't anything worthwhile. But I would go back here for their burrito portions. Only thing I didn't like was that they did not put their prices on their menu. So you have to guess what things are priced at after you pay for your total.

Yelp
Listen, I am not sure why this was only rated at 2 stars on TripAdvisor but I have visited all the time and it's always been a good experience. I have been food poisoned so many times in New York City and this was the only food truck in the city that did not. They make the food fresh and yes, it takes time to make a meal but isn't this what everyone wanted? A food truck able to make fresh meals all the time. It's the same thing as if you were going to visit a restaurant, right? So waiting is part of the experience and the waiting for the food to be made isn't long. I've been eating here for a while now and the ladies know who I am, I am the guy with all the camera gear that stops by at night with the wagon and travel backpack. The food is always amazing and don't stop making delicious food. There is also a guy that comes by sometimes, I'm not sure if he is the boss but he is very cool and remembers his customers. How many food trucks will remember your face? It's in the perfect location and everyone eats from DON Panchito, I even made a few videos on the food truck on YouTube but I can't post it here (I don't think so) So this is my review, 5/5 and you get a lot of food for the money. Fresh is always the best policy and Don Panchito as ThePandaPhotographer approved. Thank you for the service Panda

Yelp
Hands down the best mexican food in all of LIC. Their steak burritos are unreal, and the people that work there are the most kind.
google avatar

Alejandra N.

Yelp
My friend and I both got food poisoning from this. We suspect it was the fish taco but would avoid in general.

Yelp
This review is for the LIC Don Panchito Taco Truck. Holy cow my hungry poor sister found a live roach in her food. I am hoping she can let them know the next time she's there and get a refund. I feel so bad her money was wasted. So so gross. Never buying again.

Laurel M.

Yelp
waste of money, trash food and trash service -- would not recommend at all. Surprised by the amount of positive reviews considering the price/quality of the food -- it was really not good at all

Yelp
This truck saved my life. Their tacos changed everything i know about myself and the world around me. The staff is great, kind, and above all helpful. If you've ever wondered what the fruit in the garden of eden tasted like, this truck is the closest you will ever get.

Yelp
100% perfect all of the time. Food is always yummy and plentiful. Don Panchito is my go to spot when running errands in the neighborhood, date nights on the waterfront, and of course my mandatory pit spot before getting home from the bar. Service is warm and professional. My favorites are the tacos de carnitas and the tostadas de chorizo.

Yelp
It's a great sign when you walk up to a taco truck and they have a line. I went to domino park and was super hungry, and i knew i wanted tacos. I of course checked Yelp for recommendations and this one popped up, but i decided on another truck for whatever reason. However, when i drove past, i didn't want to wait to eat any longer. I'm glad i stopped here. The tacos are made fresh to order, they're about 3.50 each. They were bomb!!! Filled to the brim with meat and topping. The salsa verde was perfect. The spice was right with a nice kick to it. I ordered 2 carnitas, 1 pastor and 1 chicken taco. Omg! Carnitas are a must for any taco truck i stop by. If they don't have carnitas, i don't want it! Lol al pastor is a definite second. Who doesn't love pork and pineapple? (Weirdos, maybe? Lol) anywho..... first bite was everything i needed. The meat was juicy and not dried out. They added the lime, and radishes. The top them with cilantro, onions and guacamole. Omg! It was so good i didn't get to take a picture. At times i prefer a taco truck to a taco restaurant simply because it taste better. The prices are right, and more than likely you get your money's worth. If they had margaritas here, it would be the perfect accompaniment to these bomb tacos. I will be back! Sidebar: it was also 1130pm when i got there, and still a line! Good stuff. Lol. Sorry no pics this time. But go! You won't be disappointed if you're a taco enthusiast like me lol.

Yelp
This food truck was around the corner from where I stayed. After a night of drinking we wanted to get something to eat & we came across this truck. There was a line so we knew it would be good & it was! Both my friend & I got burritos & they were really good! The sauce was good as well. These burritos are loaded. I got the chorizo con huevo burrito & my friend got the carnitas. Honestly I've never had chorizo con huevo in a burrito like that but it was really good! Highly recommend if you want some good Mexican food. They had a lot of other things on the menu from quesadillas, tortas, etc.

Yelp
Things to consider when reading this review. 1) I've only tried three items on the entire menu so that is what I'm rating 2) There was a women cooking when I went (some cooks are better than others). I ordered on a Saturday night around 7PM. 3) I'm Mexican born and raised in Los Angeles CA. I do not have NY taste buds. I didn't grow up on meaty sandwiches, pizza and bagels. I grew up with street Mexican food from L.A. 4) I have not tried every single taco place in NY but, I've definitely tried my share of tacos in the city. (tacos #1 still haven't gone too but will soon). 5) I rate food not customer service, wait times, or convenience. I rate freshness and flavor. Now for the review .... I ordered one Bistec taco, one Fish taco, and one Al Pastor Taco. To me personally these are the best tacos I've had in NY this far. They are not to be compared to L.A street tacos that's like going to Italy and looking for a good taco. I'm going off NY standards here and with that said these tacos specifically were delicious. The salsa had some kick and flavor. In my opinion salsa makes or breaks a taco the red one is spicier than the green one. The portion of meat they serve per taco is generous and none of the protein I had was dry it was cooked perfectly. I will definitely go back and try other items on the menu but, for tacos if the same cook is there they will always have a repeat customer in me. P.S tacos are made to order they are not rewarming food so be patient to get your food. ( I waited 10 min)

Yelp
Taco trucks often have a mix of authentic Mexican food that even surpass Mexican restaurants and this place is the second best taco truck I've ever been to. Tried Huaraches for the first time and it was great and incredibly filling. Would've easily been a 5 star review if it wasn't for the price, which i felt was fairly high (9 for each Huarache)
google avatar

Alex M.

Yelp
Wether I'm in greenpoint or Williamsburg, this truck is never too far away to go get a delicious Al pastor burrito and for $10 you can't go wrong. Their shrimp burrito is slamming as well! Workers are kind and efficient pumping out good volume with high quality. Love this truck.
google avatar

Anthony B.

Yelp
I went and asked if they had avocado instead of guacamole and they said yes As soon as I asked for a bowl instead of burrito they magically didn't have it Moral of the story check your food if you order from this food truck
google avatar

George G.

Yelp
One of the best trucks citywide!!! Always open...any hour. Great food...no matter what you order. Prices are great.

Yelp
Stopped by here on a Friday night while on our way to a bar. Simple Mexican food truck doling out all the favorites at reasonable prices. Ordered the Al Pastor Torta ($8) - a giant sandwich with pork, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. Little bit of a line, so food took about 15 minutes to complete. Torta is hefty with toasted bread and well layered ingredients. Pork is cooked perfectly, and the pineapple added a nice compliment. Wish there was more of the pork and less of the lettuce (which seemed like 60% of the sandwich). To go with the torta, some red sauce and green sauce are provided. Green for flavor, red for spice. Like the convenience, and the guys inside keep the line moving. Overall, a filling meal that's a quick option for those on the go.
google avatar

Stephen A.

Yelp
One of my new favorite spots in Williamsburg. The Torta Cubana is my go-to order. It's SO GOOD! For $11 it's a great deal for the size of the sandwich. Would have shared a photo but I ate it too fast lol
google avatar

Peng L.

Yelp
$3 tostada Meat could be more tender, but the flavor was tasty. $8 carne asada Big portion, rice was delicious. Meat was a little rough
google avatar

Yu Z.

Yelp
I never imagined some of the best tacos I would eat in NYC would be from a food truck. The food is delicious and freshly made in front of you once you order. Prices are very fair; $3 per taco. There's also quite a selection for tacos as well, including carnitas, chicken, chorizo, steak, and Al Pastor (not sure what that is). They also have other ethnic foods as well, such as quesadillas, burritos, tostadas, tortas, etc. The 2 times that I've eaten Don Panchito's food, I saw the food truck in Brooklyn. If you ever get the chance to check out their food, I highly recommend them. Delicious, authentic Mexican food!
google avatar

Victoria X.

Yelp
** Cash Only ** I was pleasantly surprised with the tacos here at Don Panchito. All the tacos were priced at $3 each with a good handful of choices to choose from. Everything is made fresh and on the spot, and there is a small ledge against the truck that you can use as a table to eat your tacos. I recommend eating on the spot as opposed to taking it to go since it'll get too soggy when trapped in the take-out box.
google avatar

Tiffany W.

Yelp
Great quick dinner! I ordered 3 tacos de bistec and they were so good. My bf got 2 chicken tacos and 1 al pastor. If you're looking for close to authentic Mexican food in Williamsburg, stop by this place. Yes people I said close to authentic. I literally grew up three minutes from the south Texas border; visiting Mexico every weekend. The tacos are delicious but the cheese I'm used to is queso fresco and cebolla that's sautéed with some salsa verde. It's open late which is great! This food truck never disappoints. I'm excited to come back for tamales soon!
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
This food truck is one of the best in town there food is delicious and always fresh and the plus is that they accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express!
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
BEST TACO TRUCK!!! Spicy pork tostadas are BOMB! Definitely one of my go to's on days I don't want to cook! Forget going out and spending mad money, grab some tacos here, go home and enjoy! FYI - It is CASH ONLY, so make sure you have cash on you!
google avatar

Gera C.

Yelp
Taco place that you can always count on .! Thanks guys for been open and it might time long but I rather wait for my order and get the right thing I ordered .!
google avatar

Devin C.

Yelp
Best tacos I've found in New York coming from California. I got the bistec tacos with both salsas. Very good!
google avatar

Josette L.

Yelp
You guys always make me smile. When me and my Husband have late weekend nights together, we drive over to Panchitos and get our usual steak tacos. Always fresh, and always tasty. The whole staff are kind and hard working. Although they're almost always slammed, they are patient with smiles. Whenever I'm in Williamsburg I take my ass right to Bedford and Metro. Never change.
google avatar

Anthony N.

Yelp
Amazing tacos and they are very authentic shells I eat here every time I walk by this place and am in Williamsburg this is the spot for some good Mexican food.
google avatar

Harv P.

Yelp
Top notch authentic Mexican food. Never expected one of the best burritos to be from a truck! The food takes a little longer than an average truck but you can't rush perfection. My choice of meat is chicken from here whether it is in the burrito or tacos. It's very well marinated, juicy and jumping with flavors in every bite. I have also tried their beef tacos which were delicious. The tacos come with cilantro, onions and guacamole for $3 each. The burritos are huge and very filling. They come with rice, beans, lettuce, cabbage, tomato, sour cream, mayonnaise and guacamole for $7. People mostly just sit down leaning on the fence to eat.
google avatar

Andy C.

Yelp
I stoped by today to have a bite my boss is having dinner at tabare I was looking for food saw a Mexican truck and halal food I said what can be wrong with Mexican food I'm Mexican so i know what's good and not I order a breaded chicken torta got it in like 10 min when I jump in the car and open it first the chicken looked yellow wasn't even breaded the cheese was American white cheese like wtf you selling Mexican food and putting American cheese disgusted I had to trow it in the garbage go back and buy lamb over rice from the truck next to them
google avatar

Noah S.

Yelp
Definitely the best Mexican food truck experience in NYC or Brooklyn. Ingredients are always fresh, spices always on point and the price is always cheap. Their green salsa is magical. I would bathe in it if they'd let me. Do yourself a favor and get the steak burrito. You'll be greeted by a massive torpedo of marinated beef balanced perfectly with beans, rice, fresh veggies and medley of Mexican flavors... All for $7.
google avatar

Dai T.

Yelp
Not sure why these guys have such a high rating. Definitely not authentic, I grew up 15 minutes away from Mexico and eat Mexican food regularly, the food here is nowhere close. Had a Carne Asana burrito where the meat was too salty, way too much rice & beans, and it was wrapped so poorly that the high school kids working at Chipotle would be embarrassed. Go for the Halal cart to the left and save yourself some disappointment.
google avatar

Jay M.

Yelp
Nice food for food truck. taste is authentic. prices are higher compared to other mexican food trucks, price varies depending on the cashier sometimes (if you ask any modifications in your order). Service is fast and efficient. i usually call ahead and pick up.
google avatar

Yelp
#I was surprised with this Al Pastor Taco. Really good. Although it took some time for them to make it. #I thought it would be instant.
google avatar

Clari B.

Yelp
Have eating tacos from here a hand full of times and have yet to have a bad experience. Always friendly and well portioned. It's really expensive but it's better than the restaurants around here. Overall I say if you are around there no need to go to Bedford any longer :)
google avatar

Daisy R.

Yelp
Still the best Mexican food tacos are the best, clean good and quality customer service I just love it!

Hamptonalert H.

Yelp
Great place. Great flavor. Private chef opinion. Didn't try everything but so far the flavors are always the same good one. Consistency is the key for a great business. Thanks
google avatar

Benjamin M.

Yelp
Amazing quick and soo delicious! Stopped for a chorozo tacos, asked for no onions and they remembered too. Close to biergarten, would definitely come back for 1,000,000 more tacos
google avatar

Kenny C.

Yelp
I must've passed this food truck a thousand times, but never gone. You know you've seen it too. It's on the corner of Metropolitan and Bedford, has bright lights, and a short line all throughout the night. One day after a show, I finally made my way to give them some money. Ordered two tacos - lengua and al pastor. It took a while for them to make it just because it looked like they were making a giant catering order at the same time. But it was worth the wait! When the guy asks if you want everything on it, say yes. $3 tacos. Can't be beat.
google avatar

Alexander B.

Yelp
Hands down the best late night taco truck. They are cash only but each taco is about $3.50 (favorite is definitely beef tongue) with burritos about $8.00 (depending on what you get). Parking is very easy late at night and they are open till about 3-4 AM.
google avatar

Kevin V.

Yelp
I can eat don panchitos every single day I probably eat it at least twice a week sometimes more for lunch the tacos just have tremendous flavor and it's quick and delicious. The price as well is fantastic for a very filling quick delicious meal.
google avatar

Gary L.

Yelp
Mexican authentic food done right and reminiscent of los tacos in the city. Ordered tacos carnitas and al pastor. The al pastor aka carnitas with spice and pineapples was off the charts. When you bite into it you get the cayenne then you get the sweet balance from the pineapples. Empanadas are served here as well and tasted fresh from the oven. Enjoy

Choco K.

Yelp
I am not sure why they charge $3 per taco but they were definitely not the best. Over priced, seasoned too much, and didn't taste like authentic tacos. I wasn't impressed with these tacos at all! I'm giving them 3 stars because the lady in the truck seemed so over worked.
google avatar

Lizzette M.

Yelp
The food is delicious. We get food from Don Panchito often. It has become our favorite Mexican food truck. I highly recommend them.
